I've only been to this Walgreens a handful of times and 4/5 times were mostly pleasant, although this last time I came by to return an item I had purchased that I no longer needed due to being gifted the same item recently, but I didn't have my receipt! (Uh oh) I wasn't entirely sure of their return policy but there was a Walgreens sticker with a barcode on the box of the item so I thought they might be able to pull up the transaction that way. When I got to the counter and told the female who was helping me the situation, I ended my explanation with; Am I required to have a receipt to return an item? & With no hesitation from the cashier, she replied with; 'Yes,' so in reply I said; 'So you're saying the only way I can return something is if I have the original receipt?' Cashier; 'Yes.' Then after saying I would be back after hopefully finding said receipt the cashier next to the one I had been interacting with, who had obviously heard the whole interaction, goes to say something as if to correct my cashier, but must of changed her mind because she then paused before going back to what she was doing. Later, after explaining the situation to my boyfriend out of frustration, he told me that they should atleast be able to pull up the transaction on their system since I used my debit card. I then called the store and talked to an extremely helpful employee by the name of Autumn who once was filled in of the situation, asked if I used my debit card and if I had a Walgreens points account which I said yes to both and she then told me that any transaction that you put your rewards number in for, is recorded and can be pulled up in a case like mine, where the original receipt is MIA. So although my day was originally not on my side when I thought I was going to be stuck with an item I not only didn't have room for but didn't need 2 of, Autumn ultimately saved the day by letting me know the correct return policy and what to do if you don't have all necessary traditional items to do a return. I will now take a 2nd trip to Walgreens in 24 hours today to do something that could have been done with yesterday, but I am mostly thankful that I didn't throw in the towel after my first try. So all in all, the store is clean, has a great variety of all items that pharmacies carry, lines are never too long due to a good amount of people working at all times, but some workers need a refresher on proper customer service skills and to re-read their store policies!

After having a wisdom tooth extraction, I immediately went to the Walgreens Pharmacy across the street from my house to obtain my pain meds before the numbing injections wore off. After waiting in line, I spoke with the sweetest woman at the pharmacy, Ruby. Clearly new, she did everything in her power to get my medication to me as soon as possible, however, was unsuccessful due to her being just in training. So, in order to get my request taken care of, she asked for help from the person in command, The Pharmacist... When The Pharmacist showed up to the front to help me, and to "train" Ruby, she was HORRENDOUS. This Pharmacist, (Mari was her name if I recall. Asian woman) was one of the rudest human beings I have ever encountered. She was huffy and upset that she even had to touch a computer. Grabbing my prescription papers violently from poor Ruby's hands, and clenching them together in anger, she turned to me and yelled that she didn't take my insurance, and that I would have to pay out of pocket. "Thats fine with me," I calmly said back, tired and confused as to where her attitude had even sprouted from. She then sighed loudly and started muttering angrily under her breath as she typed some more on the computer. Then she ran to the back as if an emergency had occurred while yelling in anger that she even had to deal with anyone that day. The Pharmacist then returned and said in the meanest of tones, like I had broken into her home, "Come back in a couple hours, we have lunch in an hour so it wont be done then." She then stormed off as if I was the biggest inconvenience of her day. Poor Ruby stood there, looking down and apologized to me for her behavior, as if she was in a domestic violence situation. I was appalled that the trainee had to APOLOGIZE for the actions of the insanely rude and cruel pharmacist. I then returned a few hours later and was told to return in another 45 minutes to pick them up. At this point my swollen face was in a lot of pain, which could have been avoided if they had filled them when they stated. Overall, this place is trash. I will NEVER come back to this nightmare of a pharmacy again, unless it is to check on the well being of Ruby. Shame on you Walgreens.

I have worked in customer service for over 20 years and these 3 employees together literally made my day. I just moved to the area and will now be choosing them as my go to and pharmacy I would recommend this place to all my loved ones near and far as long as those 3 Wonderful employees we're greeting them! I truley hope they are taken care of well by Walgreens because they were phenomenal for a walk in Walgreens experience, fast efficient vivaciously prepared with incredible service!!! Love Michelle and Hamburger (my rescue pup)

TL;DR Used 30min customer only parking, went to bank first (5mins), didn't want to carry purchases. Made purchases at Walgreens. Back to car 15mins. Threat on windshield from Walgreens. Was running an errand for my Grandma, needed to go to Walgreens and her bank. Parked at Walgreens, didn't want to carry items to bank. So went to bank first, (took 5 mins) came back and made purchases at Walgreens. Find note on car, was parked in 30min spot. Was there 15mins. First time doing this, instead of threatening a customer, or first time offense. Maybe make an internal rule about leaving a note for second time offenses. Walgreens now has a bad taste in my mouth. Guy behind counter was great customer service though.

I generally do not write reviews but I hope this serves as an FYI to anyone considering using this Walgreens as their main pharmacy. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. My partner had to change pharmacies due to change in insurance and went with this Walgreens. The team working here actively tries to not do their job. They have refused to call her insurance, made her act as intermediary between the pharmacy and her doctor, and try to charge her for her medication which is fully covered. This is life saving medicine for her and that treat is as an inconvenience. I hope Walgreens takes corrective actions.

I would not recommend this pharmacy or the male pharmacist working here. After waiting in 40min in line, and for the pharmacist to “get off the phone” I was offered nearly expired epinephrine to fill my prescription. After I requested a non-expired product, the pharmacist refused to identify another Walgreens with stock and would not transfer the prescription to the CVS up the street. The pharmacy seemed disorganized and the pharmacist was unempathetic, unapologetic, checked out and completely unhelpful. I would recommend you choose a different pharmacy if you live in the Wallingford area.

Previously at the Walgreens on 50th the service was excellent now it’s transferred to Stone Avenue and none of the people I know are there any more. I believe it’s the head pharmacist that is the grinch very unpleasant demeanor. He told me I shouldn’t use coupons or I’ll never meet my deductible BS I never make my deductible either way. Most of the other staff are nice but they don’t come close to the ones I interacted with for years. It’s not a pleasant experience most times so it’s time to consider switching pharmacies, all because of the grinch.

Big shoutout to John, who couldn’t take a solid 2 minutes to transfer my prescription over to another pharmacy since they didn’t take my insurance. I’m clearly in a pickle and fresh out of my medication, and he “made a note of it” to call tomorrow. Meaning I likely won’t get my prescription for another two days, but this was clearly a huge inconvenience to him and “against protocol”. If I could give you 0 stars, I would. I’ll be probably wanting death by this time tomorrow, but hey, at least you clocked out in time! Job well done…

I am visiting from Texas and attempted to get an rx refilled. John, in the pharmacy called my home pharmacy to get the transfer info and then went a step further to seek out my insurance information proactively! Only to learn that Walgreens is out of network for my insurance. John called me directly to let me know and he saved my info so the other pharmacy could call and get the transfer info quickly and easily from him. John provided phenomenal customer service, even when I ended up not being a customer. Much appreciated!

Called twice today-I don’t have the prescription number of the medication I need refilled-your system puts me on hold I wait 30ish minutes, it tells me how many people ahead of me and then when it’s finally my turn I’m disconnected. So after holding for an hour total I need to call again tomorrow. NO service=1 star only because I had to give a star to post this review. Fix your phone system!!

I switched to the Walgreen’s in Wallingford three years ago and love it. I get a number of prescriptions filled at this drugstore for my family and there has never been a hitch, delay or other problem. Everybody in the pharmacy goes out of their way to resolve any issue at the front end so it does not become the customer’s problem. I’m a huge fan.

I've been using this pharmacy since it opened. They have always been reliable, polite and available to answer my questions. All of the pharmacy staff have been great. The cashiers by the exits are friendly and helpful. Even during this time where pharmacies are under staffed and working overtime, I have been very pleased with this Walgreens.

Truly the worst. You can’t call for a refill, have to go in and wait 20 minutes. Don’t even try calling, you’ll be on hold until they hang up on you. They buy out Pharmaca and force everyone to switch to wallgreens without having the ability to support that many customers. Most awful pharmacy experience I’ve ever had.

Lazy bums. Didn’t have my prescription and were too lazy to call another Walgreens to see if they could fill it. Made a big deal out of difficulty of finding phone number so I could call. I gave up and went to QFC pharmacy where they happily and quickly filled my script. I am now a former Walgreens customer.

I've never once had it go properly. Not even once. I've gone three time for a prescription "oh it hasn't been ordered, I'll put that in. It's not in stock so it'll be about a week." Come back in a week "I don't see that in the system. I'll put an order in for it, it's not in stock..." Third time

Prescriptions are always delayed and we are told last minute (when we have already run out) when our prescription is out of stock. It seems like this isn't the fault of the people working there, rather Walgreens not staffing this location properly.

Don't bother to make a pharmacy appointment for a vaccine - they don't see you at your appointment time, and they might not have the vaccine in stock even if you had an appointment to get it. Unclear what the point of the appointment was at all.

Absolutely rediculous that they won't let a 6 year old child go to the bathroom. I work in customer service and have never told a child no even though we have signs for customers only. Also never been to a Walgreens that wouldn't let you.

I've never had so much trouble getting a prescription. Every single month I have to struggle with the employees here to get my necessary medicine. I plan to leave this pharmacy as soon as I can. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Service is very good. Friendly staff. This is where I get my prescriptions. The automated system when you call is helpful. You can check your prescription in any way, could be via text or call or go there yourself. I call mostly.

Try to get a refund on an item that I had the receipt for before the 30 days had expired. Was told they could not, even though the receipt said bring back to any Walgreens. Took back to another Walgreens and had no issues at all

Ordered insulin because my bottle shattered. Took 5 days to fill it because it was out of stock. I had the same problem last time. It’s ridiculous and dangerous to not have a life saving super common medication in stock.

Absurdly overpriced. Tube of sensodyne toothpaste here is $14, walk down to QFC(which is not know for being cheap) and it's $6.
