Since the review got deleted from the looks of it. Called up Monday 19th, possubly even Friday the 16th to drop off bike for rear wheel to be checked on and possibly replaced. Was told yeah they can do that and that theres a spot available for 24th on Saturday, cool thats soon and works... SPECIFICALLY asked if its possible to drop it off earlier as I have plans on saturday and wouldnt be able to make it in, was told yep all good drop it in whenever throughout the week. Queue Tuesday, take time off work to leave early and drop it off, waste my afternoon getting there and was told that not only do they not have parts but that I wasnt even able to leave it there despite having an upcoming booking. Explained my issue and that riding it would make it worse and would possibly lead to it going from an easy bearing/cone fix to a full wheel replacement, didnt care. Now its friday, do same thing, take time off work again, and again having to get there making it worse and when I get there... closed for stocktake. Why was I told I can drop it off whenever if they were aware theres a stocktake happening on friday? Got the attention of one guy just sitting there talking (yeah working really hard on that stocktake) got waved off rudely multiple times until a second guy came and opened the door. Asked if again explaining my situation if I couls leave my bike there instead of making it worse, got told no because its stocktake... dont know how stocktake affects leaving a bike for service in a rack thats not part of said stocktake. Asked if he knows if the wheel I was told would be ordered and Id be contacted about (also didnt happen) was in, just got stocktake as reply... amazing. Proceeded to try ask what time would the booking tomorrow be for, didnt get a reply just "sorry its stocktake" again, dont know what that has to do with do with my question... Went to ask why I would be told I can drop it in whenever if that was far from the case nor told about stocktake which he didnt even bother replying to instead started walking backwards and closed the door, doubt he wouldve heard me telling them just to cancel that time on saturday too which my money is on theyll be expecting me to rock up and more than happy to take money but none of the other parts that comes with custimer service. So not only were multiple hours and days of my work leave wasted but my rear wheel got more damaged due to lying and not giving a single care leading to more of my money needing to be spend fixing it than it should.

99 Bikes/Advance Traders/Flight Centre Australia does anyone in your organisation value your customers? I dropped my Norco Optic back to one of your stores last Friday with a broken frame - second one in two years. Rory at 99 Bikes Annerley served me. He told me he would contact Advanced Traders (who are the Norco importer and part of the same parent company as 99 Bikes) and would come back to me with a resolution within 2 hours. I asked him for a card and contact details - he told me it’s all online and I would get a text anyway - no text and no contact even 6 hours later. I tried ringing the store - rang out. Tried ringing customer service - no one available. Sent an email to their help desk and got a response that it had been sent to the store. Max the manager from Annerley rang me and discussed the issue and we discussed possible resolutions to the situation. He spoke with the warranty department at Advanced Traders and rang me back. He advised they couldn’t make a decision there and then but could early next week (being now). Max made the commitment to follow up Tuesday if they had not come back to him - today being Tuesday I have not heard from him. I sent a further email to customer service Friday night seeking a particular resolution due the same significant fault occurring twice and for contact by close of business Monday - no response. I followed up customer service who advised they had passed it onto the state manager - no response. I eventually heard from Max from the store via email. I responded and asked some question but did not get a response. Rang Max answered my questions and was going to email me...... after spamming the 99 bikes Facebook page Saturday and sending another email to the customer support team I finally get an email from Max today with communication that should have occurred last week. I also got an email from the support team telling me to go away as they can’t help me.... what the heck? I can’t even get a head office representative to engage on the issue! I am trying to resolve this amicably but when I can not get a response it forces me to seek alternative avenues to get an outcome. Companies are often judged on how they handle errors and warranties - 99 Bikes you have failed dismally and as a result will lose me as a customer.

I bought a car rack on 18/2/2023 at 99 Bike Annerley. I went there with my car, an employee looked at my car and recommended and sold me the Yakima car rack. It turns out that when I opened the box on the Easter break to install the rack, my car (Kia make, Picanto model) wasn't included in the manual with the measurements. I contacted Yakima and they said that the rack they sold was not suitable for my car and could damage it. I went to the Annerley store with the rack to request a refund as the item was mis-sold by the store. I was received by another employee who addressed the situation in the worst possible way. He firstly said that he couldn't do anything about it because I didn't have the package, if I had the pack he could refund me. Then, he asked me if I wanted to exchange the rack to another brand (make Allen $150) that was out of stock in Annerley, but available in Indooroopilly. I then asked him if that fit my car, he said he didn't know. Then I asked if the store was going to refund me $30, he said that I should try to negotiate with them. Are you serious? Is this solution that you present to a customer? You are making the same mistake, trying to exchange a product with another that you don't even know if it is going to fit, and also, asking the client to solve the issue with another store. My problem is with Annerley, not Indooroopilly. And he said more unbelievable things... The store has made the mistake of selling an incorrect item and don't want to take the responsibility of their mistake.

Very disappointed with Service Very disappointed with service we received after spending almost $400.00 for service on two recently purchased bikes. The chain came off on one the first time it was used and the gears on the other were skipping and jumping off all the time making the bike unridable. When I brought the bikes in for repair, I was told I was not using the gears properly and that there was no problem. I have been riding bikes for 50 years and know how to use the gears! When I returned a few days later to pick up the repaired bikes and inquired as to what had been the problem, I was told that they were now fixed and would not tell me what actually was fixed. The mechanic was very rude and told me to call the manager on Monday to find out. I had to make an extra two trips,- 150K, 4 hours drive, to have the Serviced bikes repaired again and then to be attended so rudley was not what I expected. This service will not entice me to return nor recommend 99Bikes in the future.

Initially I ordered my new bike with the assistance of a young lady who was fantastic with helping me to find the right bike to suit what I was looking for. The bike needed to be shipped from South Australia and would take two weeks to arrive. I rang the Bayswater store two weeks after the original order to get an update on when my bike would arrive. This time I spoke to a gentleman (unfortunately I did not get his name). Not only was he unhelpful but he was rude and abnoxious as well. I haven't experienced such poor customer service. He almost sounded annoyed at me. My intention was to spend extra money on accessories however I will spend that money at a different bike store. Its unfortunate that after my great initial experience I was subsequently let down by a different 99 Bikes employee. Ultimately this employee is not only losing my accessories sale but potential future sales from anyone that reads this post. After I pick up my bike I will certainly not be returning ever.

As a beginner, I wanted to buy a bike and didn't have a lot of knowledge regarding which bike to get. Phalen had helped me greatly in choosing the right bike that fitted within my budget and that was suitable to me as a beginner. He spent time in explaining all the different features of the bike and how to sit it up accordingly. Customer service was amazing and the staff was super helpful and patient. After the sale service: within one week of purchasing the bike, I had a small accident that resulted in breaking the front light and a bit of scratches. I went back to the shop and Austin replaced the front broken light for free and he used a marker on the scratches in order to eliminate any future rusting and hence a possible damage to the battery. Thank you very much Phalen and Austin for an amazing customer service before, during and after the sale process.

Really disappointed with 99 bikes annerly. I was recommended to you guys by someone that worked for your company saying that you had the best mechanics around. I asked to have the bike fitted to me when I picked it up and said I had trouble with adjusting the seat. They said no worries. I went in to pick it up and the lady said what do you want. No hello or how are you. Then we went to fit the bike and they bloke couldn't move the seat. They hadn't looked at it .So I had to come back the next day. They broke a nut insert on the seat clamp while removing the seat. So now it just slides down while riding. Had my bike for almost 2 weeks. Made me pay for a premium service and I still have to take my bike to get it fixed. Paid almost 400 dollars for a half a job and a bike that can't be ridden. Thanks for the service

Excellent service after a recent issue with my bike but the Annerley store backed me 100% . 99 Bikes Annerley is not like a mass production store, it's personalised service all the way. Special mention to Jack the manager who is brilliant & did the right thing & fixed some issues that I really think other stores may not have. The end result is I won't shop anywhere else & as a result I have told everyone looking for a bike that this team will back you and your bike. Thanks guys for the old fashion service as its hard to find these days. You just got yourself a life long customer. Just awesome from start to finish. Thanks ! P.S jack the Merida Silex 400 was perfecter fit for me your advice was appreciated.Denise was also awesome getting the service done. Super helpful & nothing was a problem ! Awesome

I had an issue with my Shimano Di2 battery draining not allowing me to change gears. Took the bike to 99 Bikes and they diagnosed it and had it repaired ASAP as soon as the new battery was delivered. When the battery had issues after installation, I took it back and William immediately tried everything and identified the issue being the firmware. Once again he had the bike back to me within a couple of days. Upon picking it up, I noticed there was a manufacturer’s fault in my front Continental tyre that I had only fitted a couple of months ago. William followed this up again straight away and got me a free warranty replacement tyre, fitted it in store onto my rim and even helped install a new battery in my HR monitor free of charge. Couldn’t ask for better service!

New Review: They continue to be friendly and helpful. I lost a bolt about 6 months ago and they guy gave me one and fitted it for free. I offered to pay, no. Today I needed a reflector and a bell. The guy gave me a reflector for free, and the bell was $9.00. Hard not to like people like this!! :-) I needed a Presta valve cap, and Jessica gave me one for free. I also bought a bike light but when I got home I discovered it was USB rechargeable, which I didn't want, so I called and she said bring it back, even though I had destroyed the packaging in opening it. She gave me a full refund, and I offered to pay $5.00 for the valve cap but she refused. So that was super nice, I felt bad, just super nice service, thanks Jessica, have a great day! :-)

I agreed a price for a bike and accessories and paid my deposit. 99 Bikes emailed an invoice for the RRP for the bike. I emailed back and reconfirmed the agreed price and that it included accessories. When I turned up to collect, I was told the price was too cheap and they couldn't include the accessories in the agreed price. First they claimed the email exchange wasn't clear (it was), then they claimed they had thought we were talking about a different bike (they didn't). I ended up paying for it, because it was still a good price, and I need a bike to get to work, but these sorts of practices are very disappointing and probably illegal. Make sure you get the agreed price and inclusions in writing before you pay a deposit to 99 Bikes.

These guys are amazing! Best service my 10 year old Haro hybrid has had in nearly 10 years! I've used a couple of local bike shops in Woolloongabba and Annerley for servicing (and spare parts), not only do they do a poor job servicing my bike (with loads of excuses) but they are arrogant, condescending and pretty unhelpful unless you're very persistent. Not so 99 Bikes at Annerley, these guys did a perfect job servicing and have been nothing but helpful, patient and friendly on a range of issues from kids bike seats, kids helmets (for a 9 month old!), packing up our bikes to go on a plane (flawless job!), handle bar grips, tyres, gloves, lights and more! Can't recommend these guys enough, any bike issues, go see these guys!

Admitting my bike was a bit of a mess is an understatement. I use my bike each day commuting to and from work regardless of wind, rain or floods so it gets a fair bit of use. As embarrassed as I was to take my bike in for a service I bit the bullet and in a went. The staff were really helpful explaining what work they thought the bike may need from my description. I expected my bike to take days with the work is needed on top of all the bikes I could see in their workshop - it was ready well ahead of schedule. The staff went through each of the elements which has been fixed and why - I felt comfortable and confident with the work done by this fantastic knowledgeable team. Thanks heaps

Had an ultimate service, tyres replaced, new chain and bar tape replacement carried out on one bike and a set of tyres on another. Alistair helped me from the time of booking over the phone through to collection of the bikes when ready. He really is a credit to the business. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Had answers and advice to all of my questions involving multiple bikes and was truly a pleasure to deal with. My road bike feels like new and the suggested tyres for my dirt jumper are perfect. Couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Will definitely be returning to, and recommending the Annerley store and Alistair. 10/10

Bought a Mountain bike from here a while back which has been a gnarly ride. The workshop has also been awesome with assisting with all my bike needs and providing a quality service, shout out to Scott at the workshop for being a down to earth bloke and for helping me diagnose issues with my front derailleur on my road bike. The sales consultants have been awesome and have always helped me find the right gear for the trails and have helped me find the right tools for the job, in particular Nathan and Jack have always been consistently helpful in the store. Thanks for allowing my friends and I to smash out the trails.

Great staff, everyone was super helpful. They really know how to do customer service right. Fixing up an old road bike and the staff was happy to help. One of the mechanics even offered to show me, completely unprompted, a feature of my bike that he picked up that I might not know and was happy to answer all of my questions. When I was looking for new parts, I was never pushed to buy the more expensive parts, and was always shown a good cheaper option and a useful recommendation. I really appreciate that. I will definitely be coming back for any future issues and parts.

Absolutely STERLING service and information from Josh at 99 Bikes at the Annerley store! Super engaging, not at all pushy, guided me as to what I might need, and I happily purchased (came in for two things, left with eight, and a booking for a service of my trike and fitment of some of my purchases) what I needed. He showed me the range of things I was interested in, advised me what was good, mid-range products, and made helpful suggestions which I took on board when purchasing. Very knowledgeable chap, great customer service, knew his stuff, so FIVE STARS. :)

This place is awesome! The sales team is very good at recommending products and offering plenty of useful options and opinions. I ordered a bike through the pandemic and they managed to secure me one on the next shipment with solid communication throughout the whole journey and it even arriving earlier then expected. Lastly their service is absolutely astounding and their team goes above and beyond to help out and fix any biking needs. I had great experience with Chris in particular, who has been extremely professional and helpful in choosing and setting up a bike, as well as assisting when further adjustments were needed later on. Should you need anything post-purchasing, you continue to receive attentive service. Went to this bike store as I wanted to get into riding. Staff seemed dismissive and had no knowledge. Felt really upset seeing a particular, what I would assume regular customer get so much attention, when I and others just stood there waiting for help. After asking not once but twice for assistance I ended up leaving. Typical chain store. Ended up purchasing bike from REID Cycles where staff were friendly, knowledgeable and gave me their time albeit the store being busy.

Went in to sort out puncture in tyre. Anthony served me and was ridiculously helpful. He not only sorted it out right there and then he actually ran me through how to fix it all myself for future issues and answered all of my very basic and boring questions. If i could give 0 stars i would. Ordered and payed online for a ninebot scooter . Got phone call from an employee saying it was there and ready to pickup. Drove from woodford to annerley to pick scooter up a day later and yep it wasnt there ! It had been sold twice online he said . Do not trust this company in regards to their online sales. Btw it cost me $25 in tolls and nearly 3hrs in driving round trip. All they had to do was call .

I've been here twice in the last year. Both times there was a line of about 6-7 people waiting to see the one person who was serving. You could see and hear 2-3 other staff just behind the counter, having a chat about their weekend. No idea about quality of products, as after 20 minutes each time I simply left. Last time, I went to Trek Bikes in Woolloongabba (no affiliation) and they were amazing, so I won't bother coming here again.

I'm a weekend warrior (as they say) I needed a new chain and tyres, a very particular type of tyre. The Mechanic service was fantastic, they searched for my tyres and promised to follow up, which they did. They no longer can get my type of tyres, but at least they called me and fulfilled their promise. I'm already aware to get my tyres is not so easy, so now when I find them, I will be going back to get their help putting them on.

I was really keen to get advice and have someone "sell" me a bike with ideas and options. Came into the store looking to spend and buy a bike... left wondering why I bothered to go there... was I not dressed right? Did I look like I was just a tire kicker. Yeah, I got a few interactions and reactions from the staff... I got a better service and more assistance at the McGregor Store over near Mt Gravatt way.

Ethan provided excellent customer service. I needed to replace a whole wheel because the spokes were broken and he was quickly able to tell me the price and help fix the problem and answered all of my questions about signing up to be a member. Because 99 bikes is such a large and successful store I think they must offer every service and product available for bikes and at a competitive price!

Alistair in the workshop is absolutely fantastic, so kind and professional and patiently showed me the problem. He immediately ordered the part that is needed and will have it ready to go by Friday. Update: Tim was very helpful and friendly but for the incident of the bike being faulty Jack did not take any responsibility and had to raise a formal compliant. Thanks again Tim for your awesome attitude. :) Chris is a life saver. He fixed my bike in 10 minutes. Super friendly and professional. Trek quoted $60 for a cable replacement that was not required at all. Thanks Chris :)

Had an awesome experience last wednesday, took my bike in after seeing another place 10 minutes prior and getting quoted 99 dollars and a week wait to fix some squeaky brakes and despite having a full roster they managed to fit me in and only charged me 30 dollars for the full fix. Have a speak to the gentlemen in the workshop. Top service and very quick, thank you very much!!

I've been here quite a few times and the team have always been friendly and helpful. Just went in today with a faulty product that was just outside of the 12 month warranty period. I was expecting to be told it was out of warranty, etc. etc. but they were exceptionally helpful and replaced the faulty part with a brand new one straight away. Happy days, thanks 99Bikes! :)

Customer service is very good and very help however had a few poor experiences with bike maintenance and servicing with brakes not adjusted, rear derailleur not aligned and crank arm fell off while riding. Looks like way too much grease. Also had another issue with my other bike with grease place on the rear cassette causing the chain to come off, fixed by doing a clean.

Popped up at 5:15pm, and the boys were very busy. However I still received quality and friendly service. Even better, Chris installed the new brakes on my sons bike and straightened out the wheel even tho they were pushed for time. Honestly shocked by the level of service, and he only charged me for the brake work! Thanx heaps guys. Very much appreciated.

I have been calling regularly at Annerley branch - ALL staff are enthusiastic, supportive and provide excellent advice for my requirements - which is riding a bike after 10 years- still need an “L” plate for my eBike - now I need to attend their technical class on how to maintain this challenge. Been here for advice and servicing of my bike, as a very inexperienced cyclist with no idea about maintenance/gear etc, and I received the best and friendliest service. Spoke to at least 4 people in the workshop and all were very knowledgeable, welcoming and patient - also made me feel very comfortable and at ease as someone who is clueless about bikes!

99 bikes at Annerley are extremely helpful. I checked with 3 other bike shops for a replacement derailleur for my Birdy fold up bike, including the Australian distributor, and no-one was interested. I guess for a $30 part not worth the effort. EXCEPT for these folks at Annerley, they ordered the correct part and it arrived 3 days later. Thanks a lot !!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE!!! I bought a bike lock here and it was an absolute complete and utter waste of money! Straight out of the packet and it wouldn't work whatsoever. In fact, when we tried to set a new code the entire thing fell apart on us. Apart from that the purchase was ridiculously expensive as well. Would NOT recommend shopping here AT ALL!

just visited 99bikes at Mile End. customer service was shocking after standing looking for almost 10 minutes without one employe offering some help as needed. i was so disappointed and left the store without purchasing what i went there for. i usually go to the 99biked at West Lake and i must say the customer service is amazing every time i’m there.

Took my little girl to get her first bike, the team of Max and co, were very helpful in letting us test ride. Very professional and friendly. We had to order the bike and was informed when it arrived. They put it together also, and my daughter was very happy with her first bike. Totally recommended to visit Max, and the team T annerley 99 bikes.

William in service was excellent. A few days after Christmas I brought my daughters bike in with a puncture. William fixed it on the spot and it wasn't a regular puncture, but a few minor tweaks and we were riding again! Great service. (ps we didn't buy the bike there so it was not a faulty one of 99 Bikes, makes their service even better)

I was served by the mechanic at the Annerley shop. I told him I was going for a long trek on the Brisbane valley rail trail. We replaced worn gears and chain and put on the quality types at a good price. He gave me great advice on maintenance work I could do myself and tool tips. I'll be back there for all my bike needs. Really good service and selection. 99 Bikes in Annerley isn’t my closest store or bike shop but I always travel the extra distance for the great service. Max is sensational - really knowledgeable and helpful. I have referred friends and family to him and they have all been equally impressed with the store and the service.

Denise from workshop was very knowledgeable and I guess she was concerned for my safety (I have a questionable old bike) so she fixed a couple things pro bono. Young fellas in the retail store were happy to teach me about bike maintenance while I was waiting. Must be a good place to work as everyone seemed quite happy.

I can't recommend the service at Annerley highly enough. I had a little-known e-bike in for a service, and an unfortunate accident disabled one of the components. Amazing team! Great to have such a good store in Annerley. I had an issue with my front derailleur that I couldn't fix myself. I brought my bike to the store and their mechanic helped me straight away. In less than 15 minutes my bike was fixed! Prices are great too.

I went in to buy a new tyre today because of repeated punctures. I could have easily been sold an expensive tyre but a staff member suggested I check the rim tape first. Sure enough I had a big lump in the rim tape. Left spending $5 instead of $50. Thanks!

The staff are absolutely fantastic at this store but they have just about no women's clothing. It's a bit ridiculous that they have more than 2 metres of men's stock crammed full and less than 1 metre of women's gear which is basically empty.
