When we order stuff from Ebay we have to advise the suppliers if they use Australia Post they send at their own risk. This is solely in case the item is carded and falls into the hands of Craig the owner who arrogantly makes life so difficult for you he ends up marking the package 'customer refused delivery' and send it back to sender despite your demands for your package. Craig is exactly like an Australia Post version of the Soup Nazi from Seinfield. No matter you do to convince this guy he still refuses to give you your package. I had my driver's license, the SMS notification and I even got the supplier to ring and speak to Craig and he still refused to let me get my package. He Claimed being a Victorian i'm not allowed to have mail sent to Queensland. This isn't an isolated incident, this guy is actually crazy and obsessed. I suggest everyone who has been victim to this guy complain to Australia Post, wait 10 days then contact the Commonwealth Ombudsman's office..and maybe one day we all will be able to get our mail in peace and not worry of constantly being declined. No Mail for you!!
I totaly agree with the comment below and he seems to be picky on male customers and always trying to find a way to say no.I hate walking into this place to pick up my parcel so I get my room mates to get it sometimes. Legit this guy needs to be replaced. The lady who works there is the only one who is fine to be honest. "The guy who seems to be the manager of this place is extremely rude, aggressive and unhelpful. He is always trying to find a way not to help you when you need it. I complained about him several times by contacting Australia post several times. I wish I could avoid seeing this guy, but unfortunately I live nearby and all my parcels go there. This is a government company and when there is no competition and pressure on them, they behave people in any way they like. "
What should of been a standard enquiry turned out to be a shambles. They stuffed up the tracking by accidentally checking in a parcel that they didn’t have. No apology given. Only abrupt behaviour inflating upon every reasonable question I asked about their stuff up. I left in tears with no solution after an amazingly abrupt old man with glasses who identified himself as the manager refused to answer every reasonable request I would ask of him. I as a highly experienced retail manager with over 30 years of successful sales experience have never come up against a disturbed individual such as this. I am not a psych but I can see this small man needs some help and fast. He is hurting the Australia Post Brand beyond repair.
The older man with glasses needs to get another job. From all the reviews, he seems to always be the problem. Lecturing people on where it is not his job or business. I have 3 last names which sometimes can be hard with the post office, depending how they write it. Every other post office I show my ID and explain to look in 2 different areas as it can be hard for them. All other post offices appreciate it, but for some reason this old man refuses to look at my ID as I explain it and then when he comes back with parcel and wants my ID. The only place and with the only staff member that is rude and obnoxious.
If I could give zero stars I would. The older guy who works there is the most rudest person I have ever dealt with. I work in customer service and his attitude is absolutely amazing. The other lady that works there is so lovley and even apologised on behalf of how rude he was. It frustrates me so much that my packages get sent here as I would rather saw off my arm than have to deal with him. He looks at you like it is the biggest inconvenience for him to get your packages, he doesn't smile at all, then huffs and puffs when he needs more information about your package. Absolutely disgusting customer service.
Went to this PO on the 16th Nov 2020. Once again the elderly man is very rude, as I have found him many times before. I made a complaint about him years ago, as he was extremely rude to ethnic people and a friend of his once stood in for him for the day, who was not a Post Office employee (part of that complaint). It seems the other younger staff don't last here - would not be surprised if he was the cause. This is a person who should work in the back office and NOT at all with customers. It seems he has anger issues - will the packages be safe
If I could I would give it ZERO STARS! Along with about 20 other people I was abused by the Australia Post officer who works at Annerley LPO. We had been waiting in line to be served for about 45 minutes. This guy was so slow! When we started to get frustrated he was really aggressive, not apologetic at all (we had been waiting patiently until we realised that at this rate we weren't going to get served before the post office closed), and he told us all to leave!! I still have to pick up my package and I don't want to go back and face him.
The staff in-store are pleasant and helpful. However their drivers cannot deliver to the correct address. In 3 years, I have had 2 of 10 packages delivered successfully all others have gone to the incorrect address. They will never redeliver so we have to go and collect. What's the point when Australia's postal service can't get addresses right. No other company seems to have trouble with this, but unfortunately we are stuck with them and their terrible service. Thanks again Australia Post!
The guy who seems to be the manager of this place is extremely rude, aggressive and unhelpful. He is always trying to find a way not to help you when you need it. I complained about him several times by contacting Australia post several times. I wish I could avoid seeing this guy, but unfortunately I live nearby and all my parcels go there. I can see why there are a lot of complaints about the “manager”. Extremely rude and absolute lack of customer service. Abused me when I forgot to bring my ID. Wouldn’t have to go there if Australia post actually delivered my package seeing as I was home at the time! Sarcastically apologised when I called him out on his behaviour. The ladies who work there are absolutely amazing and it’s a shame they have to work with such a poor excuse for a manager.
The male staff member (only one there) is very blunt and rude. He is very abrupt and isn’t customer friendly. You show him the Aus post app and he completely ignores you. He is like that is completely useless and precedes to ask you all the questions that the app is supposed to do for you. The lady on the other hand is very polite and professional. It’s a shame you have the most extreme of the spectrum in the same store.
Why are they always so rude here? The younger large woman with the dark hair (a kiwi?) just seems to hate customers! Does she love the power she has standing there with the power to keep your parcels? I really wish they would send my parcels to Fairfield, in fact I am going to ask Australia Post if they can do that because I HATE going here! It's torture they are so arrogant, grumpy and horrible
Craig, the manager here, is fantastic. He brooks no nonce and upholds traditional manners. If you're on the phone, that's fine, step aside, take your phone call, and when you're off the phone jump back in line. A pleasant please and thank you is always available for those who likewise use good manners. By far the best postie I've dealt with in ages, keep up the good work!
The man at the counter spoke to my 73 year old mum in such an aggressive and belittling tone, she left in tears. I understand there are processes that must be followed that limits who can pick up a parcel on your behalf and I’m happy to follow them but the way in which that information is provided to a customer is important. I’ve lodged a complaint to Australia Post
Have always had positive experiences with the staff at this post office. They are always willing to assist with my questions. Only rating 4 stars however as the location is quite small and hidden at the back of a Chemist Warehouse. Can take time to get served during busy periods but there is no other alternative close by.
Very rude treatment from the male staff member. I asked him how much a parcel would cost to post in a smaller box. Bought the box from him and repackaged my parcel. Turns out he gave me the wrong price but was unwilling to admit it. No need to be rude. Just say you gave me the wrong advice. I'll never shop here again
I got the same feeling of the man working there, very bad manners, at the beginning I thought he was being like that because I'm a foreigner and he was being racist, but now with the comments I can see that is his behaviour towards men gender. I hope they replace him for a nice person with emotional intelligence.
Yep is the same staff from the reviews, making things so difficult by lecturing others and pretending to be on high moral ground to not release the parcel just because the address of the parcel uses another street name, but yet it's the same address on my ID on the map, he refuses to even open maps to verify.
Useless opening hours. Unable to pickup parcels half of the time. Rude service, asked the man if he had any spare tape to reinforce my parcel… I was completely ignored? As per usual, these auspost LPO only survive because they have the name auspost. This is the reason we need to use postal competitors!
If you want bare-minimum "service" from a certain male member of staff then this post office is your number one choice! Seriously though, mocking the way someone speaks is not cool. After 4 years you'd think this staff member would've gone through a bit more customer service training?
Not sure what people's issues are, perhaps they are the rude ones because I find the gentleman who is always there a wonderful delight. Very helpful and very friendly. Genuine and honest. I guess everyone is different but not once have I experienced a bad time there as a customer.
Zero star. Craig, the manager, is one of the most rude person I’ve ever seen. Cranky and sulky, should not be able to deal with the public. He told me to complain to the politicians about Australia post rules… A complete nonsense. I hope nobody has to deal with this guy.
The old man who works here is one of the rudest people I have dealt with. It's as though I had somehow personally slighted the guy before walking in. The lady staffmember is delightful. Reading through the other comments it sounds like this is a common thread.
I feel the same negative way about the "manager" as some of the other guys, I am Hispanic and male. This manager was really rude and condescending when he tried to "help" me once. I get the same ugly vibe every time I talk to him. The lady is fine though.
The manager I think is one of the rudest customer service employees I have ever come across. As well as being officious and nasty he had a very poor attitude together with a lack of communication skills. I will never be returning to this Post Office.
I find the staff helpful and friendly every time I go. Once a driver sent it to the wrong address one of my friends helped me locate it but when the staff looked it up it was sent to the wrong address but it was the drivers fault nit Australia Post
My parcel was released to an unknown person without even giving an identification card. They insisted that someone already picked up my parcel though the claim card was still with me. I asked who claimed, they can't even determine who. The worst!
VERY VERY POOR. The MANAGER is very RUDE. I feel he needs to attend more training as he egoistically told me the wrong info and when I shown them the same , even then he wasn’t sorry. I reckon he didn’t want to do it. Wish I could give him zero.
lazy delivery service - I got a text message instead of the parcel being delivered to my residence because the delivery driver knocked down stairs (room 5) with no response when I live upstairs in room 1 - there is clear signage at the post box
Shocking customer service from the elderly man who works here. When is Australia post going to fix the problem he clearly does not agree with a lot of customers. Get him training or send him to retirement. Hope I do not have to go here again.
The elder manager's attitude is rather audacity, less friendly and never trying to help. Totally dislike service there, strongly not recommend. He even lied to me when I asked him before, worst service ever. Thank you but no thank you. …
i absolutely adore my trips to the post office with the lovely staff at Annerley LPO, i only looked them up on google to see their hours and was shocked to see the rating of this place! i live in an apartment and get all of my packages sent
I now understand the low ratings for this post office. Was served by an employee who clearly lost his customer service skills years ago. 1. He was not willing to help. 2. He did not listen. 3. His lack of assistance meant that I had to go
Awful experience. Misplaced my ID, tried to find evidence to show who I am. Went back in with my ID to hear the old man gossiping about me out the back very loudly. Completely unprofessional, I never want to come here again.
Great staff at this Post Office. They are always happy and willing to help with any problem. Highly recommend the Annerley Post Office. It is located in the Chemist Warehouse complex at the back of the building. Barry
Hi Annerley community, just so to let you know that our post office no longer open on Sat. the google maps should ve update this. i am bit annoyed that their open hours is exactly my office time Monday to Friday.
Male staff there who is manager I reckon, is rude and disgusting! He gets angry with all males however very nice to females! I wish I could give them -Zero 0- He is a big shame for Post Office Australia! …
Usually busy but the staff are always friendly, helpful, and polite. It's a very small store so not a huge range of products but they seem to have most post packs, parcels, boxes and envelopes you might need.
This rating is only for the Kiwi woman who helped me on Saturday, th 1st of December. She was a real gem. The other times I have visited have not been5 star, but she deserves some positive recognition.
The older man (manager) was so rude. I checked the other comments, and I noticed that it is about six years that everyone complains about him, but he is still working there! Well done Australia Post!
Won’t be coming back here. The man working was extremely rude and demeaning when I went to drop a parcel off. If you don’t want to help people don’t work in customer service.
The manager is petty and rude. The trend in reviews here is that he likes to bully (particularly ethnic) men while being very friendly with the ladies. I can attest to that.
Always great service here. Today I saw the old guy everyone's complains about he was nice to me (I'm just some punk kid) and helped out another lady he was nice to as well.
The male manager is terrible and has poor customer service - I will be avoiding this post office in the future . Don’t know how people like this are still employed ??
As an eBay seller I go into this post office pretty frequently and from my experience it seems like the Manager has put effort in to be better with customer service.
Now I totally agree with the reviews about old male staff wearing glasses. He was really rude and forced to me his own rule. He is a manager? I can’t believe it!
An old man working here is very rude and not helping a customer. His attitude is the worst I’ve ever seen and he shouldn’t be working in the customer service.
Delivery person who drives a Hyundai iLoad throws packages because they are too lazy to go up 10 step stairs. Hard to find good help these days I guess.
Lost paperwork on their behalf for closing up a PO Box threatening and insulting language from a staff member. Give this one a miss I say.
I really like the older gentleman. I think his name is Craig. Always cracks me up although I think sometimes he is a bit misunderstood.
The female assistant on the day shift and the lady who does the early morning parcel pick up are very nice thoughtful decent people.
I've always had good service from this post office including the male manager. Seen so nasty and entitled customers in there too!
Such a cute and small post office located in Annerley. They have a spot inside chemist warehouse. The staff are very friendly
Love my postie. Polite, considerate and efficient. He's more of a friend really. Keep up the good work Annerley.
The manager is very rude and rest of the staff is very good. Manager have the need to learn from his team
Very nice staff, helped with a previous issue I had with another post office at Mansfield …
Early parcel collection is available from 6:30am Monday to Friday! Great and friendly service!!
Craig, a very polite and well mannered chap provides quality service.! Always a positive fella!
Always a rude staff member there who really seems to hate his job, should consider retirement
This rating is purely for the male manager that runs the store. What goes around comes around
Woman today said this post office "doesn't do passport applications". Makes no sense.
Old mate behind the counter is VERY rude. Be patient or find other job. Ffs.
Only open 9-5 Monday to Friday. Pathetic in this day and age.
Great better then that old grumpy guy that use to work there
Not even scan the Parcel code first just ask for ID
Very rude and abrupt and in no way helpful.
Very helpful and professional. Great work.
The Manager is very grumpy and rude.
Manager is a straight up toss pot
Friendly & helpful staff.
Love your work Craig!
He made me cry.
Rude older man
I will be back
