"Really good sized park that's actually off leash for dogs !! And there is a bit of dog equipment altho shoddy looking"
"Its wired that they separate both BBQ areas n kids have to cross the drive way to get to n from BBQ and park , the dog park is boring ok thry have a dog circuit even though you can walk around the paths with your dog on the leash theres alot of dog poo around the edges of the paths if maybe they have different times of the day where your dog can walk around the park with out been walked by our sides i think both walker and dog would be able to enjoy there time st the park more"
"We've had our son's bday party there and go there regularly to play"
"Best dog park in the area! Lots of equipment, dog water fountains and heaps of space so you can socialise if you want but there's more than enough room if your dog isn't as social"
Bald Hill Park is a genuine urban oasis. Nestled amidst the bustling South-Eastern suburb of Clarinda, this park provides the perfect blend of lush greenery, well-maintained pathways, and ample space for relaxation and recreation. Whether you're keen on a morning jog, a peaceful stroll or a family picnic, Bald Hill Park caters to all. The children’s playground is vibrant and inviting, ensuring little ones are entertained. Its variety of flora adds to its serene ambiance, making it a favourite among nature enthusiasts. The park exudes a communal vibe, playing host to locals and visitors alike. If you're looking for a breath of fresh air and a moment of tranquility in Oakleigh, Bald Hill Park is the place to be.
Playground
Recently refurbished, nice to have a wooden playground.
Restrooms
Newly built a few years ago, but one or two stalls are always either filthy or clogged.
Picnic area
BBQs are ok, under cover with table and seats.
Really good sized park that's actually off leash for dogs !! And there is a bit of dog equipment altho shoddy looking. Always a couple of ppl, sometimes a few dogs at a time when I've visited. I take the dog on a big trip around bald hill, walk thru to namatjira and back to the car. My only negative experiences here are, i have a small 4.5kg dog who used to be social but has been chased and "attacked" by groups of large dogs on 2 occasions. Of course all dogs were off leash. On both occasions the large dogs were too eager for recall and the owners who were chatting together were farther away from their dogs to realise quickly what was going on. Caused my dog anxiety and bit of dislike for Bald hill.. So now i am extra wary of others at any park.
Its wired that they separate both BBQ areas n kids have to cross the drive way to get to n from BBQ and park , the dog park is boring ok thry have a dog circuit even though you can walk around the paths with your dog on the leash theres alot of dog poo around the edges of the paths if maybe they have different times of the day where your dog can walk around the park with out been walked by our sides i think both walker and dog would be able to enjoy there time st the park more. It is nice that city of Kingston is trying but not alot of people understand the golf frisbee not many people take frisbee it be nice if they used the space alot better maybe do research around other parks
We've had our son's bday party there and go there regularly to play. With undercover free electric BBQs, toilets, a beautiful bushy area around the playground, walking tracks and open spaces to run around and kick a ball. We went again today to find the Kingston Council have reduced the lined car parking spaces and "upgraded" the toilets. Went from a big toilet block to 4 small self cleaning unisex toilets. Not really good for young kids to use as they don't have toilet seats. Otherwise still a great local park and playspace.
Best dog park in the area! Lots of equipment, dog water fountains and heaps of space so you can socialise if you want but there's more than enough room if your dog isn't as social. The people are generally really good too. It is offleash in the northern half but there are no fences, so without recall may be dangerous if your dog is prone to run off but its not near any of the main roads. There is also a long and good walking track which is on leash only that is a great way to warm up/warm down.
A great place situated in the centre of oakleigh south. Amazing and huge park for dogs with an off leash area. There are a lot of dogs that come to this park so it would great if you want to socialise your dog with others. Be mindful that the park is not fenced, so if you fur buddy is prone to running, this park may not be suitable. This park also has a dog exercise area with cleaning supplies provided by the council. Highly recommended for a good hour of play
Great park with a few nice features including disc golf (if your into that kind of thing), a playground, walking track and a off leash dog area with dog play equipment. We come here daily to walk the dogs and it has a nice community feel. It does need some lighting at night as it only has the reflected light from across the street which means 3/4 of the park is in complete darkness.
Ever since the installation of a 18-hole disc golf course, this has become one of my favourite go-to places, especially since there aren't many like this in the south east. You can also borrow discs from Kingston Library, which is just down the road from the park. Beautifully (and cleverly) designed holes allow for a session of fun either alone or with friends!
Great Park with great facilities! 2 BBQ covered areas, public toilets, a fantastic playground and big open grass/park areas with foot/bike paths; something for everyone to enjoy. The playground has a couple of slides, a baby swing, a swing for the less able and a couple of proper swings...cant go wrong to come here for a play or host a kids birthday party!
Enourmous open green areas with very good walking / running trails. Can loop around to go back to where you started if you wish. Some seating, mature trees and water stations along the way. Popular with dog walkers, it's definitely dog friendly. The playground is very impressive with lot's of options.
This park has a great kids playground with public toilets, barbecue areas, off street parking and water taps for both people and pets. A popular park for dog walkers with both on and off leash areas and a doggy exercise area on the opposite side to park to the kids playground.
This park is really wonderful. Big open grasslands hilly areas and walking tracks. Shelter barbecue areas times two. Beautiful playground with swings cubby houses and wooden native Australian animals and sculptures. Good toilet facilities and fresh fountain drinking water.
Took my grandson to this park. Lots of playthings to entertain him Picnic tables and exceptionally clean bbq's. Plenty of parking and restrooms. If you want to walk or ride around the large parkland, or kick a ball or play with frisbee, good place to do this
Great big open spaces and lots of paths for walking dogs. Really lovely spot I didn't expect to find in this area. Just one thing missing... BINS! Like all parks they want you to pick up after your dog but don't provide bins to encourage people to do so.
A brilliant off-leash dog park with lots of open grassland area and several walking trails throughout the park. There's a playground, agility course, disc golf area and some on leash tracks too. Definitely a great time out for the four legged friend!
The park is huge with good facilities. The playground is great. I go there specifically to play disc golf. The best course in Melbourne! I really enjoy the par 4's and the challenge of a proper course. Definitely Melbourne needs more disc golf parks
Beautiful and nice place to walk my dog there, with a big area for off leash dogs to play around and even some dog training facilities there. And also other area with path to ride bikes for kids’ play day! Wonderful place for all family members.
1. Walk here every day, and appreciate all the walking paths and trees. 2. I have a disability and there are not enough seats. 3. all undergrowth has been cleared - really miss the shelter and smaller birds. 4. dreading the "golf" type game.
Grate place for kids family's party's BBQs, and plenty paths to go walk some dog equitment nice open grass area take my dog to hang and play with other dogs . feel a little more safer for our dogs if they could put a safty fence around,
Great park to walk around or sit under a tree and enjoy the nature. It's not as scenic as the nearby namitjira park which has the stream and birds but if you're looking for a quiet stroll, this is the place!
I live very close to Bald Hill Park and visit it quite often. These are beautiful cacti growing just two steps away from it. I couldn't resist the temptation of making a reflection photo of these cactuses
Enjoyed playing disc golf here. Clean facilities. Clean toilets. Kids enjoyed the playground. Friendly community feel. I plan to visit again. Would highly recommend the disc golf, take your own frisbees.
Grew up in the area and absolutely love Bald Hill Park. Love walking my Labrador here, great space for her to run and explore, even get the odd water hole appearing after a good rain episode.
Would love to give this park a 5 star, great green grass, plenty obstacles for the dogs. The fact that the dog agility section isn't fenced off that doesn't help in gaining that extra star.
A place for those who enjoy playing disc golf. There are lots of spots to lie down for a picnic with friends/ family or just to unwind and relax. Good place for walking/ jogging/ running.
Frizzby golf, it's a good laugh and it's free all you need is a few frizzbys, take a photo of the course map can be a bit difficult to tell where the next tee is kids thought it was good.
Great open course, with established tee boxes and clear hole maps for each hole. It's an awesome place for beginners to go and try out! Watch out for water if it's been a wet few days.
Nice place to walk. There is Disc Golf areas here. You can borrow the golf disc and score cards from Clarinda Library close by. And there's an off leash area for dog (not fenced)
This has an amzing dog park and a big playground with good extra facilities to entertain yourself . If you want to visit a even prettier park go to the namatgira park in clarinda
big open park, good for walking and running for people and dogs. There is a dog playground. And a regular playground with a bbq and toilets. There is now a Frisbee golf course.
Fantastic option for disc golf. Very open course and didn’t have to wait once at a single hole. Even with bad wind conditions it is still worth a visit. I’ll be back again!
The playground has had a spruce up since we were here last (about 4yrs ago). Ample car parking, easy access to 4 public toilets & lots to explore for toddlers & kids.
9 basket, 18 tee pad Disc Golf course. Has one par 5 and a few par 4s. Best course you'll find in the area, can't wait for Kingston council to put more in their parks!
Another great park! Monash has to have the most parks in Melbourne, not a fact, but I seem to be finding them everywhere when Geocaching. Good on you Monash council.
3 BBQ's 3x Outdoor Tables 4 Public Toilets Lots of grass space for a picnic Decent sized playground for the kids Massive frisbee golf course! What else do you want?
Big open park with a playground on one end and dog obstacle course on the other end plenty of space to fly kites. Has a path right round the park for jogging too.
Beautiful spot for a picnic, walk, BBQ or some frisbee golf. Right next to Namatjira Park as well, meaning you can take a big walk around two lovely parks!
Nice clean and open. Good park with features for kids. Good that the dog lead off area is at the opposite end of the park to the play area.
Played disc golf here. The course is clearly signed so you know which hole you're up to. Play the game with a group. Friends or family.
An amazing park, stretches for miles. Has a disc hockey field. Perfect place for a picnic or just to relax and enjoy some alone time.
Good place to take dog and do some agility training and watch the frisby throwers might have to give it a crack one day have a smash
Small dog walking area unfenced foot paths uneven .drinking fountain. Play gronds. Bbq area. Few dead trees to look at basic gardens
Great disc golf course 25 minutes south of Melbourne CBD. 9 baskets each with 2 tee pads for 18 hole track. Wonderful signage.
Awesome new disc golf course. Free hire of discs at library around the corner. Park has lots of space and is well maintained
Very nice park for a morning walk. Park is in immaculate condition with a few lookouts and a bridge across the lagoon.
A great wooden playground for the kids. There are also walking paths throughout, a BBQ, tables and toilet facilities.
This is large open parkland with a large off leash area for exercising your dog. There is even dog exercise equipment
A great Park for walking, running activities. It's quite a big Park and it's stone throw away from Namatjira Reserve.
Bald Hill is a lovely park to have a picnic, walk your dog, or (most importantly) play a round of disc golf.
Good easy exercise walking lap park, off lead end of park away from BBQ area with play equipment for dogs.
One can have a good time by hanging out with friends and family members. Public barbecues are also there.
Love to come here early in the morning. Very lovely quiet place to be and watch birds enjoying breakfast.
Golf Field side...great place to walk...with a flavour of sloppy planes..wonderful at moonlight night..
Well maintained family park in Clarinda. Peaceful and great place to meet cute puppies and dogs. …
Love it. Less crowded than the other ones in the area. It doesn't have enough parking spaces though.
There is a great off leash area for dogs here, a great walking trail and a fun playground for kids.
Disc golf setup is a great use of otherwise neglected Park area. Nice little spot for dogs as well.
Great park to go to, there is a lot of open ground for activities and playground is also available
A scenic hazard free course with some challenges once your throw distance increases past beginner.
Well maintained, good drainage, disc golf course very difficult in winds however still enjoyable
Good friendly dog community and off lead area. Not fenced so make sure your dog has good recall
We went there for the cross country division. It's a big park, no so many trees but still nice
Big open park. The large off lead area (not fenced) for dogs has agility course equipment.
What a beautiful place! Ideal for a morning work out or exploring nature with the family!
Nice place for barbecue. Good place to play as well. Lot of space for kids to run around.
Nice park, good for walks and a quick run. Good playground for the kids at the south end.
Tranquil place for kids play and family to walk and wind down. Had BBQ and walking trail
There's a doggie section too. The hills are ideal for walking, and there is ample space
Nice park with a lot of shade and play area for kids. Well maintained grass area
Great little park, and also the best spot for a South east Disc Golf enthusiast!
Dog park is topz! Great play equipment and the people and pets are lovely.
