The new playground (upgraded in Dec 2020) is a major disappointment and a missed opportunity from Moreland Council to create a much needed community focal point in the area. The kids' playground equipment is third rate, sparse and cheap, and the 'exercise' equipment is even worse, like they were purchased off a supplier having a firesale on their least popular and useless equipment. There's no shade in either the playground or BBQ area so it's usability is constrained to very limited weather conditions. The surrounding lawns have not been improved, in fact they're probably worse than before the 'upgrade' due to the heavy machinery used, so there's nowhere nice to lay a picnic rug. The whole upgrade is such a big disappointment. With so much development (and planned development) in the area, incl. Balfe Park Lane which will 'unlock' the park to people on the other side of Nicholson Street, and the revenue (and people!) that comes with all that development, this was a great opportunity for genuine community placemaking; instead, it's hard to see how this park has been improved at all from the dire state it was in previously. Thumbs down from me.
Excellent enclosed park to take dogs off the lead, Hard for humans to get the the kids park next to it, either have to jump over or go under the fence. Dogs have no issues Unsure when the park is used for sports nil clear time table Nil toilets There are flats being built literally next to the park so I assume there will be loud noisy machines during the day
Moreland has a hectic schedule approving wealthy developers applications for high density, poorly constructed apartments so there is very little time left to maintain community parks. This park is just a soccer ground actually. A few trees scattered around the perimeter break up the abandoned shopping trolleys and discarded drug paraphernalia.
Recently renovated with new playground equipment, including adult exercise equipment too. Adjacent to the Brunswick Zebras Soccer pitch, this park has plenty of space and activities for a wide variety of ages. The story circle a favourite of ours.
Not good for my dog, unfortunately! Park itself it totally fine but it’s not completely fenced off and there are lots of gaps in the fencing that lead out onto the main roads. My dog has decent recall, but he is a stubborn shar pei and
Not suitable for soccer games. Mud wrestling yes. With all the boundary developments you would have thought the council would leverage a portion of the developers pay packet to manage maintain or even improve the park.
This place holds dear memories of past years and friends still being friends.. The big gum trees next to the children playground were dangerous and had to go.. The park ist still a great fun place to go.
What a wasted space. Even though it was being used as a walkway, kick a ball, run the dogs sort of place it could be so much more with the right planning . Everyone loves the park.
I walked here with the dog, stayed to watch the Brunswick Juventus U-12s demolish the away team 18-0. Excellent atmosphere, pitch condition was quite poor though.
The whole park is off-leash which, and has a nice little playground. Toilets aren't super clean, but aren't the worst public toilets ever.
Good playground and exercise equipment, BBQ and picnic tables as well. Big oval for playing sports surrounded by a 450m walking track.
Great for 3+ y.o kids, younger kids require adult with them to help onto equipment. Has toilets, which is a big plus
Nice off leash dog park for training. Need a place for dogs to get water and a supply of dog poop pick up bags.
Aside from a nice seating and kids play the main oval is ordinary but good for letting your pets have a run.
Good small park...although the facilities and coffee could be better when soccer games are on.....
Recently renovated with a new playground.. looks good its a small park will do for smaller kids..
Nice park with tree cover and new equipment for kids and exercise for the adults
Nice park with trees for shade, children's play area doesn't have much shade
Great for a picnic. Ground needs levelling for a real game of soccer
Basic park with soccer field, playground and bathroom amenities
Nice local park for the children to play and have fun.
Went to see an apartment there!!! WOW amazing complex.
Not as good as Sumner Park for kids to play football
Playground and toilets. What more could you ask for
