As someone, that lives a van life on weekends, Batman Park is a great choice when you want that break but can't get out of town. There is I drive way with no signage that you can't enter but you can place yourself right in the park set yourself up and enjoy, if you are after a cuddle and some romance, wanna kick the ball with your mates or take the kids for a picnic good for all, the choppers come in frequently which is exciting but can also be annoying after several landings and take offs, trains go overhead and are noisy too, so I felt free to let loose of my twin subwoofer and some even had joy and shared some moves. Good mix of people incl. the disadvantaged which I prefer over the rest as they are real not fake. So I had a ball!

The park itself is alright however the carpark lot north of it under the railroad is a local hotspot for predominately caucasian violent youth troublemakers who spontaneously rock up there to have a fight amongst themselves but will not hesitate switching target to a random passer by if looked at for one second too long, and at night the violence spills out into the park itself targeted at homeless people so caution should be exercised while trespassing there since if you get in their way at wrong time these youth gangs will not think twice before assaulting you.

Well maintained grassy patch on the northern bank of Yarra river and just walking distance from the Southern Cross station. Offering stunning views of the river and the South Bank on the other side of the river. You may also witness the take off and landings of helicopter from the helipad located just a few meters on the side of the park. This park is family friendly and has great vibe!

This is located opposite MCEC & Crown. You will not see as such flowers there but will definitely get a ground for playing football. You can do BBQ there with friends. Pet friendly. You can effortlessly do yoga or fitness workout there. Go for a light walk. Side by side you can see the landing of gigantic helicopter since the helipad is just beside.

Seems like a popular spot for people to meetup. The cooking areas are nice. The helicopter landing pad nearby can be annoying if you're relaxing on the grass. It's loud, makes a ton of wind and can spray you with water if you're too close. However it's also cool to watch them land and take off. Biggest downside are drunks / people on drugs.

A birthday gift to remember. Two friends went for a joy ride over Melbourne with Melbourne Helipad Helicopters. Both were nervous at the start, but the fantastic staff were so understanding and reassuring. They thoroughly enjoyed every second. On returning they couldn't wipe the smile off their faces. Definitely recommend!

Best river side view of the yarra with frequent helicopter close view. Ideal place to spend some self time enjoying the melbourne skylines with splendid yarra river flowing next to it. There is public toilet and Bbq facility and tram access right next to it which will take you to southern cross station in 3 mins.

One of the many fine parks situated on the banks of the Yarra just a short walk from the CBD. Visiting on an autumn evening it unsurprisingly wasn’t busy, it is also a good spot to watch the Gas Brigades fireballs at Crown casino. Lots of food and drink options in the city or on the other side of the river.

One of the best places in Melbourne to experience the beauty of the city is from the observation Batman Park. From here, you can get a breathtaking view of the Yarra River, the city skyline, and even a glimpse of helicopters flying overhead. It's an amazing spot to take in the sights of Melbourne.

Well maintained with large grassed areas amidst some large trees providing shade from the hot sun. A great location to checkout the helicopters landing and taking off. Hold on to your hats and skirts as the helicopter rotors can generate significant wind and spray from the Yarra River.

Not a bad place to stop for lunch but would be better if there weren't so many ants and junkies. The noise of the trains is a bit annoying too but that's just city life. It's fun to watch the tourists get blown over when they stand too close to the helicopters as they take off.

This is a nice park during the day and good way to see the helicopters taking off but a little ropey at night

Quite bad, loud helicopters landing in alot, grass very damp and unhealthy causing it to not be to sit in unless you are willing to get your clothes dirty, loud noise from the trains and trams aswell, do not recommend if you want a quite day.

Very nice area, has at least two barbeques and right next to the river. Beautiful view. Can get a little loud due to the trains and helicopters landing, but you get used to it. Tranquil space within the heart of the city.

Not a huge park but still perfect w.r.t it's location. You can view the whole city from there. Situated at the bank of Yarra river makes it more divine specially at night's. Amazing place to sit and relax with someone.

Lovely place to be at. With fire bursting from the crown and the beautiful lightings on the buildings and reflections in the yarra river makes it more attractive. Seeing fireworks on the new yrs eve is awesome.

The dirtiest toilets ever & the smell ... Watch out for dirty needles. The doors open too early & without much or any warning. Nobody wants to be caught with their pants down ... literally …

The park's picturesque location by the Yarra River offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. The well-maintained walking paths provide the perfect opportunity for a leisurely stroll or a jog.

Nice grassy area by the river. Its close to the helipad on the river. The BBQ area has quite a few seats around it, otherwise you can just sit on the grass. The BBQ is on the river side of the park.

Lovely place for a picnic, there are public BBQs that are well maintained and the park itself is also well maintained. It's never usually too busy to bring your family down for a lovely afternoon.

Nice plays to hang out in you're lunch break. The helicopters are a bit annoying on a busy day . You got the possibility to make a BBQ and sit by the river . All in total a really nice spot

A very nice place to have a picnic with family friends, but you have to bear with the birds. Birds are everywhere! A lot of them. Also, very chill place to just sit around leisurely.

awesome park within CBD 'southbank' easy access via Public transport. every so often you might be lucky to catch fire shows from the local community and artists.

Nice place to visit for a lunch outing. Good seating. No cover however so not great if the weather is iffy. Plenty of space for kids to play.

It's by the edge of the Yarra and opposite Southbank which is nice but it's at the wrong end of town and a fairly plain piece of grass.

Could use a simple playground and more seating option, but being able to watch the helicopter take off and land is pretty spectacular.

It's a bit dirty but if you take your own cleaning supplies you can have a great time there, bbqs work perfect, and the view is nice.

The toilets on the outskirts of the park are absolutely disgusting. I gagged about 20 times. There was even blood in there.
