Dr Omid Neishaboory is a very special Persian Doctor. ✨ He has passion to do his work well! Well-spoken; very professional! Thank you to the beautiful Sian for her wonderful medication chart. Wow! Smart and savy. Also, lovely Gemma made an award to Torah for being the “Patient of the Day!”, which was so thoughtful and kind of her, my cat started purring when I showed it to her and told her about it! Aww, the certification was designed so stunningly by her creativity. It looks so amazing!!! And Mike, was so informative and helpful in getting things organised. And, the rest of the team I have not yet personally met, but still thank you very much! This was the second surgery that Torah had done. I am amazed at how well it went, the cat was so calm and even purring after the surgeries! You can tell what experts were at hand! Well, after the first surgery, Dr Omid collated a booklet of detailed descriptions of how the procedures went and other fine details of medical info. It is more like “Dr Omid’s Medical Thesis!” ✅ Worth the costs for excellent medical services! I have spent a fortune at this place over the years. This week I needed to buy a new lead as the old one broke. I had my dog with me and because it was a hot day I didn’t feel comfortable leaving her in the car. So I brought her in with me. I obviously didn’t have her on a lead because I was trying to buy one, but my dog is so well behaved and was just sitting by me the whole time. She veered momentarily (about 2 m) but came straight back when I called her. Anyway one of the staff launched into what I can only describe as a tirade about me breaking conditions of entry. I explained I was trying to select a lead, which I could use straight away, but he literally wouldn’t stop berating me. I became actually very anxious and couldn’t concentrate on trying to find a lead because of how I was being spoken to. My heart rate went through the roof because I just felt so totally intimidated and defensive. In the end I grabbed a lead which ended up being the wrong length... so a complete waste of money in the end.

Great pet supplies and puppy school trainers. Staff are always really friendly and ready to greet you as you walk in the door. Malcolm the general manager is always ready to help out and provide advice where he can. We took our new puppy to the puppy school which was really valuable for us to learn about what we should do and should not do as owners. It's also a really good place to socialise your puppies in a safe and controlled area, before you take them on to dog park. They have a huge selection of premium foods, toys and accessories. I have not used their vet, or their grooming service yet. If you sign up for their VIP loyalty program, they have really good specials which they text you about. I did not sign up for their premium pet services package which was approximately $500, I thought spending the $500 pet insurance might be a better choice for a puppy. For pet supplies I certainly do recommend this store.

To Whom It May Concern, I was very disappointed today, when shopping at your Northland store. I bought a 20kg bag of 'Green Valley Grains' finch seed, and was promptly told at the cash register that this particular brand wasn't included in the 25% off promotion. Admittedly, I was given a 10% reduction, as a regulator customer, reducing the price from $53.99 to $48.59, but that's not the point. The promotion actually gave people the misconception of 25% off all products. I came away thinking I had been a victim of false advertising, as I am sure, other customers have on the day. Get your promotions and advertising right, and don't mislead the public! In these tough times, the general public is confronted with enough misleading information, without your company adding further to it. I for one feel reluctant to shop at BF Pets again! Nick Stella

I have been coming to Best Friends Northland for years now for my aquarium supplies. I have always had help from all the workers, whether it be testing my water or advice on which chemicals to purchase. Just today ( Monday 6th Jan) I had an amazing experience with a worker called Daniela and her manager (forgot to ask for her name!). I brought in my water sample, Daniela tested it and then went and sought advice from the manager about what I should do with my concerns about an oil film on my tank water. They both helped me set up an air pump and air stones so I could take it all home and simply plug it in. Couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you so much for all your amazing help and support, especially when I was worried about what to do!

Wow, this place is pet heaven on steroids. A large, spaciously laid out store with plenty of room to navigate your way around. Pets are welcome to come inside. There are a number of sections such as pet grooming, puppy school, vet and so much more. There are animals to look or buy but do know staff are very protective of their pets and so do know you need to be a dedicated animal lover to purchase an animal from here. Birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, hermit crabs, foster felines and more. All possible products relating to any of these are available. Food, leashes, bedding, toys etc etc. everything you want under one roof. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Great parking. Staff are exceptionally nice and extremely dedicated.

The staff here are amazing! They looked after my beautiful cat better than I ever imagined! The nurses and Dr Attard in particular are very understanding, kind and informative. I was extremely worried about sending in my cat for an operation, but they put me at ease and reassured me he'd be taken care of, and he was. I now won't go anywhere else. I am so grateful to have such amazing people caring for my cat. Thank you so much! Only downfall was that another vet there isn't the best and I wasn't very happy with his service, however I'm still giving 5 stars because all the good things from the other staff completely trumps that!

As this store is very over priced, they do offer price matching so i shop there. After purchasing 1x20kg bag of food, 1x9kg bag of food and multiple small bags of treats. I was extremely disappointed to see a store full of staff and no help to transport my purchases to my car. The staff member ( a young man simply walked off after the transaction). Bad luck if ihad hurt my back in their store. So, i did two trips to the car. Returning for the 20kg bag the store manager ( also a male) was standing at the counter, again no offer for help. If your going to over charge at least have exceptional service. Go Elsewhere!

Love, Love, Love Dr.Omid at Best Friends Preston! A few months ago my Maltese, Princess had a very serious skin condition, which was causing her a great deal of stress & I couldn’t see my regular vet at the time as they were ‘too busy’. Our Vet At Best Friends were the only vet that managed to squeeze me in between appointments & honestly I didn’t even have to wait too long! I have since changed vets as I was so impressed by the care & empathy shown by Dr. Omid & the nurses.Dr.Omid is so knowledgeable & caring towards his fur babies, you can clearly see his love of animals. Definitely recommend their service’s.

I’ve been taking my dog here for years, also VIP dog school etc. it’s very hard to get a booking - when you do they cancel and say they’ll call and then never do -and or forget to trim all nails even though I specifically ask for this attention. It’s time I look elsewhere - they’ve done this over and over and over again .. not very happy at all.. oh and overpriced ! Very bad service bc they’re too busy- I’m done! ..I was still waiting for a call because they canceled - groomer had a dog bite ( but they had already used this poor excuse on me once before ) bye Bestie no more !

This grooming store in best friends are a jokers because those worker are unprofessional plus they dont give **** y the dog is barking for wht reason like for example my dog hate being kept in the cage and he doesnt like being ignored for a every long time and we also not been told for long this process goes for example like 4hrs. 4hrs are bull.... because i was there the whole time and just did it one hour made my dog bark for 3 hrs and kept him for 3hrs doing nothing this useless

Fantastic team, very knowledgeable about their products. Never had an issue and they're super kind and understanding with half-trained puppies (like mine). Frankly they all deserve a raise because they do incredible work and I'd totally list off the names of the various people who have helped me throughout this lockdown and previous ones - but I never managed to catch them. So I just want to pass on my most fervent compliments to all the staff and their management team at BFP Northland - y'all are great people and customer service reps. 8/8 I rate!

Love this store, from the manager to the staff, groomers and vets everyone is really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable and they often price match at the register without even having to ask! Good variety of products and pet food. Special mention to vet Omid and the nurses, they are so caring and considerate and treat each pet as their own. Only downside is that the vets services are so good that there are times where you may have to wait a few days for general appointments. Thoroughly recommend this store!

Terrible service, aggressive staff. Ignored for more than 10 minutes and then verbally attacked by one of the grooming staff after asking about the welfare of my dog. Will never go back there. Since being taken over by petstock, it has changed. They constantly overbook and then leave your animal in a cage for hours. If I could leave minus stars, I would. I would advise not to use the grooming service there. If they treat their customers that bad, I hate to think what they do to the animals they are supposed to look after.

Jeremy was incredibly helpful at the Northland store! I have a pup who is full of beans and won’t sit still, but he very patiently assisted with fitting her a suitable harness. He had great expertise on which brand and style would work well for my dog and even showed me how to tighten and loosen the harness and informed me on how much room I should leave her etc. All of this was very new to me and I would’ve ended up with an ill-fitting and impractical option for my pup if it wasn’t for Jeremy’s assistance.

I have been bringing my cat Elvis to Best Friends Northlands for the past 7 years. They have a great range of stock, the staff are always friendly, and their Vet Team are always great. But I wanted to give a special thank you to Jolene and the vet nurses, who have taken such great care of Elvis over the past 4 months, since being diagnosed with Diabetes. It really makes it so much easier to go through it when you know you have a great vet and nursing staff looking after him. Keep up the great work! :)

If you have a toy poodle and like a teddy bear cut I would highly recommend not using best friends. I showed pictures of what I was after and was very descriptive with my expectations. 4.5 hours later no-one had phoned me to let me know he was ready. He was the last dog sitting in a cage. The staff weren't sure why I hadn't been contacted. Not only was I disappointed to not have been contacted I was disappointed with the cut. A real rush job. At $89 you hope you'd get what you asked for...

Phoned up to confirm a price on an item. The short black haired young guy behind the counter would not honour it even though i gave him the name of the staff member who gave me the price 5 minutes before. Gave me a different price and told me i was cheap as i wouldn't pay the higher price. He wouldn't speak to his co-worker and stormed off and told me I'd have to wait. RUDE! ABUSIVE! I spoke to other staff members and they were lovely and said he had issues. Terrible service!!!!

Best friends Northland has everything you need for your best friend. Staff are awesome and extremely friendly. The food and other goods available on show is great. Always welcomed with a smile. This store was amazing. In stock was everything that I was after and the staff were really helpful. As I bought a few things and had lots of questions, there was one staff member who dedicated his time for us from start to finish. As we bought so much the manager even put together a nicely priced package for us. If it's a certain product or just some advice I would recommend this store. There is also an in store vet who can answer questions or do that check up.

I’m new to the area & thought I would start using this store to buy our dog food for our 4 dogs. One of my dogs has been on a prescription diet for years. I came here to buy her hills diet dry food & discovered roughly a $30 mark up per bag. I usually pay between $115-$120 for a 7 KG bag & best friends are charging $155. I’ll definitely be finding a different store to get our supplies from now on. Such a a shame as they advertise as a pet ‘warehouse’.

The staff at bestfriends are always so lovely! Although, I had a super negative experience with a possible Michael? Or Malcolm? His tone and manner weren't very friendly and I found him incredibly condescending. At one point, in an attempted discreet manner, he was talking to another employee, or disciplining, except it seemed super negative and degrading. I hope the other team members dont get the same treatment and that they're okay.

Prices are what you expect and a little more, but honestly the staff here are so phenomenal. Helpful, friendly and truly adore every animal that walk in. They are more likely to recognise your pet than you and I like that! I'm a stress head when my pets are involved and these guys are so good at calming me down and helping me and my babies. And they offer so much in one spot it takes so much stress out of new pet ownership.

Always a great store to visit The staff are always knowledgeable, friendly and indulge my crazy-cat-lady bulk purchases. Tonight I went to one of their VIP nights and the prices were great for members, the environment was lovely and warm and in particular the manager Malcolm was so energetic. He is always so vibrant and charming when I visit, and I'm always happy to see him in the store when I visit.

I love this store, I get everything from here. Wonderful staff, in all 3 areas, general, vet and groomers. The vets have been so good with all my pets. My cat gizmo with his allergy issues. They where very compassionate when it was time to euthanize my bird, and all the treatment that he required before hand. And when there was a bad dog fight, they squeezed my dog in for much needed surgery.

Came in and had a great covid check in system set up at the front, I saw a team member give out a mask to a customer who needed one, another team member brought up a customers heavy bag to the register so they could continue to shop, and the team member who brought out my click and collect asked if I needed help carrying it out the car. 10/10

Felt so sad leaving the store today, awful construction going on inside the store metres from their animals - nail guns and drilling making the birds screech, horrible. The store no doubt would say this is all necessary but seems to me just another example of profit above animal welfare. Seriously considering boycotting this particular store.

Great store with competitive pricing and a good range of products. They don’t seem to push particular brands like other stores which is refreshing. Staff are always helpful and ask if you need anything and will insist on carrying heavy items to the car for you which is awesome. They also support rescue kittens and hold adoption events.

Spacious and easy to social distance. Always good specials on. Sometimes more expensive then other online pet shops. Staff are friendly and always willing to help. Often, they greet you and acknowledge you when you walk in. So much better than other shops were you basically get ignored till you srand in front of the counter.

Great customer service yet again! A young man offered assistance within minutes of my searching the aisles. He found alternative items for those out-of-stock due to the flooding crisis up North. Terrible staff service. They were rude and didn’t have a clue about their own stock. When I asked for stock they didn’t look it up just gave me some bull excuse about having no knowledge of what I was talking about. If you want expert advice I recommend going to a pet shop where the people actually know what animals are.

Great store with a variety of items. Their best products is the complete care plan for puppies. Well worth the price for the inclusion you get with it. Always did price match but today they demanded extra money for delivery under $50....i was confused as this throughout my purchasing has never been put on or mentioned. I told manager who is new to check my sales in past. Thats there way to pull money on price matching.

I like Best Friends...a couple of staff spoil it from being good. The manager, and assistant manager, both should do a communication course, and both have an attitude problem. Could show a little more kindness, and understanding towards customers, when they ask questions, regarding their products!

We've been taking our dog here for several years until he passed away a couple of months ago. The vets and vet nurses were absolutely incredible and compassionate and wonderful with our dog through his illness and right to the end. Couldn't have asked for better support at a very difficult time.

Its easy to park here, they have a wide variety of things as well as birds and fish to purchase. I had a little chat with a parrot. I bought a cat tree for way less than advertised elsewhere. The sales people are very friendly and seem to know their stuff. Very happy to have found it.

Best friends sits just outside the main northland shopping centre, in the industrial area near anaconda. It is quite a large warehouse with a great variety. The customer service is great and they always check in to help you if possible. The prices can get on the steep side however.

When I went in to the store to find what I needed for my kitty, the staff were really helpful. The store is roomy and kept clean. COVID rules are set up to be followed, so that all visitors are as safe as possible while they find the things they need for their pets.
