I normally shop at their Preston store sadly had to use the South Morang store 2 weeks ago. Saxon Smith and his female work colleague would have to be the rudest customer service staff I have ever met. After asking him to price match a product he replied ‘with what’ shocked I said ‘sorry’ he replied ‘with what’ flustered I replied ‘I’m not sure your Preston store look up and match if your ask them to, to which he replied ‘probably because they are sick of arguing with customer like you’ I replied ‘excuse me, tone it down yeah’ I’ve never argued with the staff at Preston’ to which he lent back on the counter and scratched his crutch. So now mortified I asked to see the rules and regulations he now starting throwing at me to save himself. He then said ‘ I’ll get the manager’ I replied ‘good idea’ unable to find the manger a female staff member approached and asked ‘what is the problem’ trying to explain to her what Saxon had just said while she stood their with a look of complete annoyance towards me and my speech difficulty I decided to leave the products and the store. I sent Best friends an email to zero response. 7 days later another email asking for the respect of a response to zero reply again. Preston staff knew who Saxon was before I even had the chance to mention his name. Seems he has quite a reputation. Suffice to say I won’t be buying a thing from Best friends again or the company the have just been bought out by which I think is Pet stock.

I came in on Thursday afternoon and asked for assistance, A lady in her 50s came over to me, she was blonde. Honestly I was appalled at her customer service, she was rude, wasn’t wanting to help, left me high and dry as she said we are closing now you will need to leave and walked off . I was getting a puppy that night. This lady told me she was a trainer ( I don’t know how cos she was very unapproachable, rude and not willing to help ) I will never come back to this store and have now gone to pet barn in Epping where the staff were amazing , they wanted the best for my puppy I honestly don’t know how this lady has a job , unless she’s the owner which would make sense Anyway just wanted to let you know the awful experience I had at this store and will be telling others not to go there . To this lady, you are terrible at customer service you should not be in a job where you need to talk to people - thanks for putting a damper on my excitement of getting a new puppy . Rant over .

My dog was nicked in her private area I took a pic you can clearly see 4-5 raw grooves. The manager referred me to the vet who looked after her well, providing medication for her and billing it to the groomers, except, she did not say how long to give the medication. She won't move around, she is very stressed and gets scared even when I need to check the area. What is very disappointing is that I was told that she was not clean there which was the reason. My dog had been bathed the day before, and goes to the bathroom after going toilet for a wipe down. Also I had let them know that she had had a previous injury when being groomed, could they please be very careful. And, I was not informed of the injury when I picked her up. I will never use the South Morang grooming again.

It's a shame that I've had the experience that I've had today. I went in to pick up my click and collect and was asked for ID. I didn't have anything, and despite showing the representative my order email, she requested I show her my vaccination certificate for verification!!!! I ended up showing her my bank card on my phone (again the email should have been enough!) And whilst waiting for my order to be brought out from the back, another customer was being served and she had asked to pay in cash. The other representative on during the day told that customer that they didn't take cash and stated that she had to speak to management about taking cash. I'm not sure if today was just an exception, but I certainly wasn't impressed enough to return to this store in a hurry!

I live in Epping Victoria. I usually take a 30 minute drive to Eltham Petstock to buy PETstocks Wild Bird Seed Mix (they mix it them selves ) it's the only Wild Bird Mix I will buy. (they too have great service) I also use Best Friends in South Morang for all my other stuff. I was almost out of Wild Bird Seed Mix, the weather was terrible, heavy rain, strong winds and FREEZING! I was not in the mood to drive to Eltham and home again... As per usual I check to see if they've opened a PETstock near me...FINALLY THEY HAVE! Not only that, it's at the Best Friends shop I use in South Morang PETstock and Best Friends are now a family, using the PETstock name I'm so happy... Excellent Service, now I have everything I need in one place.....

I'm sorry to forget her name but the female worker that helped me at the shop was very helpfull, excellent communicator, provided excellent product knowledge for what was suitable for my cat,and provided me with 11 out of 10 customer friendly service. This worker also went above and beyond to speak with my son over the phone and provided quality service all with a can do attitude. Hopefully the work place has a Rewards and Recognition program because this worker provided all the qualities and service a customer staff member should have. Great customer service genuine care shown. Went in there on Friday and greeted by Chloe who was awesome, Was looking for a new collar for our boxer Chloe took time out to go through all the different collars Was looking for a new food in the way of refrigerated meat- again went through all the different meals. Great experience and great to deal with. Also ensured that I became a VIP member before leaving. Keep the great customer focus and service up Chloe- your manner was very refreshing and a pleasure to encounter!!!

How after over 7 years have I not given a Review! I've been taking my Bernese Mountain Dog here for grooming monthly for over 7 years now! Jess does an amazing & wonderful job and whilst washing him she had noticed something wrong with his eye last year. Humphrey went in for surgery it was cancerous! But all was well, caught in time, thanks to Jess. Forever grateful. We have a great relationship with all of the staff including Rachel & Mon... they really are like Family. xx

Grooming Salon staff need to better trained in customer service. After picking up our dogs from their grooming session, I respectfully advised (just as an FYI, rather than a complaint) that I’d never paid this much to groom my 4yo dog, the staff member’s response was ‘Maybe consider not coming back here again?’. How appalling. This entire experience along with the general passive aggressiveness from the salon staff has put us off ever coming back here.

I have a Cocker spaniel, we went there and they showed us a catalog and we chose the style and shortness of hair. They instead decided to shave all her hair and left only one spot in her right leg (I guess as fashion)! They cut too short and they cut both her legs and she is in pain. So disappointing and staff are inexperienced! At the end, they charged us 129$ and no apology offered. Not recommend at all!

My Gosh I nearly didn’t recognise my young man Shaq once Katey was done with him he’s a ex service dog and had been knee deep in some mud and just needed that little bit more TLC that I needed to give him he came back sparkling literally thank you so much and look forward to bringing him back to you real soon that’s for the great customer service and treats went down well thank you once again.

Five stars for the pet grooming team in Best Friends South Morang. My beautiful pup is very difficult to handle anywhere near her back legs and sometimes becomes tense or even threatens to bite but NEVER with Rachael and her team! They are beyond generous, always friendly and have so much love for what they do and they do it so well. On behalf of Bella and I, Thank you!!

I was one of very faithful customer for over 3 years but unfortunately since the customer service stuff changed, they are very very rude and respect less. I know the shop owner she's a nice lady but she needs to trained the young girls stuff. Never go back there again and told my family to not to as well, well tell friends also so bin many membership cards so far.

I was super happy to find a few bags left of the dry food my cat eats at the South Morang store. Apparently, the manufacturer is relocating so there’s been a shortage of supply. In addition, the staff member was so helpful, carried all my cat litter and cat food (which was pretty heavy) for me to the front counter. He genuinely wanted to help and was so lovely.

Both my dogs hating having their nails clipped, but the friendly, caring staff in the grooming center make the whole experience as easy and stress free (both for dogs and me) as possible. The extra cuddles for both the dogs following their nail trims not only brightens everyone’s day but acts to reinforce the message that nail trims aren’t such a bad thing.

I have never used the veterinary facilities because my dog and I are too happy with our vet in Preston but we always get our dog groomed here. They take such good care of all the animals, I never worry. They also have a great food range and lots of toys, treats, clothes, beds and everything you may need for walks. Perfect for all pets and owners.

The duo girls gave us nothing but professional customer service and the groom on our standard poodle was the best we have experienced. A true asset to Pet Stock…. We have now booked an ongoing plan for both pooodles and we will be recommending others for sure. Value four money…..absolutely Rose and Paul - Epping (VERY HAPPY CUSTOMERS)

Great shop. Good range of dog foods. Vet on site, haven't used them yet and they are very friendly when talking to them. The best part for me thus far is the grooming department. My dog really hates water, they handled her great, got her bathed and she smells great. Trimmed her nails really nice too. Thanks to the staff here!

Everytime I go in lately they don't seem to have a good and well stocked variety of the savourlife treats, always plenty of the biscuit type treats and not much of anything else (milky strip's for example). Never had this issue 12 months ago but seems lately something is not right with how the store orders their stock.

We have been customers with the groomers and the vet and we get all our dog supplies here for over 2 years now. Staff in all departments is friendly and helpfull and have the right knowledge to advice you when you have questions. Special shout out to groomer Rachel, she is absolutely amazing and our dog loves her!

I’ve been taking Louie to Best Friends South Morang since he was a pup and the service has always been exceptional. Rachel in particular in the grooming department has been amazing. I feel completely comfortable leaving my little guy with her for a groom and she’s always looked after us! Thanks Rachel.

Hopeless Service. I have got total care but it’s just useless. They don’t have vet appointments on weekends and every time I need to see a vet they are always booked out. I don’t understand why I paid for total care when I cannot avail the service as and how I need it the most. Very frustrated.

We have been going to Petstock South Morand since we rescued our girl Bindi back in March 2020. We have always received great service and advice, and now we are regulars we always get a friendly greeting (including Bindi) and feel like we are popping in to see friends, Best Friends ;)

The staff were helpful polite and knowledgeable of their products in store. And what best suited my 2yr old Frenchie and our new edition our Rottweiler puppy. Who we were there shopping for. All products were reasonably priced and there were variations of brand's to choose from.

Saxon was so helpful with advice and recommendations to help control our rescue dog pulling. Suggested bringing her in for a fitting of a harness which we did - problem solved! He has a natural apathy with animals, can’t speak highly enough of our experience at this place.

This Pet store is absolutely the best they have the most friendly and knowledgeable staff they are always lovely to our dogs. You will walk in with smiles and wagging tails and walk out saying, wow, what a great experience. The groomers are fantastic...the best period.

Disappointing experience here if you want to buy a gold fish. They will try convince you your water is no good for fish. Ok for you to drink but not for fish. Went elsewhere and got fish and what a surprise. The fish are ok in the same water we drink

Just like any other Best Friends store, it's full of goodies and essentials for your animal friend. The prices are a bit higher than other stores but the animals, especially birds and small mammals are kept cleanly and they look healthy.

The staffs at the store are great. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the products. The vet here is friendly and nice, too. Highly recommended to pet parents who need an advice or two on products suitable for their pets.

We have come in several times for nail clipping. The staff are super helpful and friendly, and treat our little dog amazingly. The nurses gave us free shampoo samples a while back which was lovely of them. I definitely recommend!

I've been going to Best Friends for 5 years now, my dog Pablo has even been to puppy school there. The staff are always so friendly and informative, especially Kelly! I wish there was a larger range of fish products though.
