I actually don't want to promote this. It's close to home and I want to keep it for myself. Please stay away. It's just some grass, just some trees, some water with nothing but ducks, some annoying birds and parrots , nothing to do except some too big kids playground to appreciate. You actually don't really want to show that to your kids and risk them crying all day at home later to bring them back. Why would you do that to yourself? There's some BBQ places you really don't want to try as it can lead to overeating and health issues. You know, holesterol and stuff and you can't resist to BBQ veggies there only. So, it's better ot to tempt yourself at all. Not really sure how else I can keep you away from here but if you do decide to come, then don't be a stranger, make friends with people you never met before, let your kids play together, share food and drink, share your experiences and opinions. Stay civilised and please, please, please clean up behind and take your rubbish away with you.

Braeside Park a local Greenspace, it occupies a decent area of land which makes it nice for walks, rides, jogging, picnics and kids B"days, lots of space and with a few coveted wooden Pavilions for gathering under cover. You can see native birds and rabbits with numerous different tracks available to explore, running, walking & cycling. ‍♀️‍♂️‍♀️‍♂️ There is a wooden building that says [ Information Centre ], not sure when it is actually open or if it's only for School groups? A children's playground area with fairly basic equipment that will @ least keep younger kids amused/active, the play area is located towards the centre of the park. There are also Public toilets towards the middle of the park, located in the general vicinity of the children's play ground area. The car parking is free and quite numerous, the car parks wind their way through the park, and are not located in just one central area. Enjoy!

Braeside Park is a nice parkland with lots of BBQ areas and hangout places. Its a gorgeous picnic area for a family outing. Suitable for larger groups. If you plan it right you can plan a large event like a office party or BBQ kinda outing. It used to be open 24/7 but at the moment the main gates are closed at night. Activities: Jogging, Running, Bird watching, BBQ, Picnic, Great place to do cycling. “Braeside Park offers a variety of educational and recreational opportunities. It protects significant environmental and cultural heritage, from Aboriginal occupation to European settlement. Muralled art walls depict the flora, fauna and cultural heritage of the area. Tree stump art carvings of local celebrities line Cypress Drive. Wander through the interactive community garden.” - I found this on the website. The mini Museum was closed on that day. Opening hours unknown.

This area is a green area good for relaxation. Anywhere you going you can find a existing you can feel the natural and modern life together but every step u take is under the trees near the reserve or many photo shot location in side of amazing bird singing and enough facilities like public toilet and water tabs too let u hand on clean cold water. I find this place and pirate park a family or friends even go alone for lonely time enjoy music and nature...

Awesome and friendly park to visit alone, with your family or friends. It's a wonderful and huge place full wildlife, we saw a lot of rabibits and different kinds of birds. It's very safe to everybody even for kids, with great areas to have nice picnics, with large running paths and walking tracks to do some excercise: walking, running, do some hiking or ride a bike. Also there are some barbecue areas and plenty of playgrounds to have some fun with kids

What a pleasure to walk the 5km circuit Starting with bush and little billabongs spotting the occasional echidna, heading out to feeling like you are in the country passing paddocks and cows, then on into the wetlands to see the bird life, following a lovely stroll back with Cyprus tree aligned the path back to the picnic grounds. It is a wonderful place for a picnic and is fabulous for families with a very big and adventurous playground

Excellent place to visit on a nice sunny day... can spend either an hour walking around or a day picnicking with friends. I came at 2pm on a Sunday and the parking was crazy; had to circle around twice till I found a space. Very kid friendly with plenty of playgrounds and things to do. I think there was one cafe on location so definitely bring your own food and drinks. Park is well maintained and curated.

It's a well managed park, brings in great people, having a good time. Using the open spaces for picnics, kicking a footy, playing cricket. Bird watching, many off shoots of tracks to keep you coming back to explore another pathway. Also having a program for those keen to getting more into gardening with other like-minded individuals. Try give yourself 2 hours when coming here to enjoy.

Braeside Park is a special undisturbed place of nature, hidden within the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Within the four corners of this park you will find spectacular sights of flora and fauna, within its heathlands, woodlands and wetlands. You will easily forget that you are not far away from civilisation when you visit this place. Excellent for a walk, run or bike ride.

It's unusual to find a park this big within metropolitan Melbourne. The park is a combination of wetlands and surrounding bush, all of which is quite flat. The tracks are wide and well maintained so suitable for bike riding, jogging, or walking. There is a proliferation of rabbits here so the ground can be a bit chopped up in places.

Vast spaces. Several parking lots along the route. Great place a walk. Beautiful green spaces. Lots of bunny rabbits about so take care. Play area for children. Good quality, sturdy equipment. Slides. Climbing apparatus. Spinning balance wheel. Monkey bars. Giant abacus. Toy adjustable clock face. Kids seem to love it.

Great park for running, although some extra signage would be helpful. 1x full loop is about 6.9km. Trails are well maintained & the whole park is quite peaceful in the morning. Take note that Braeside Park is closed on total fire ban days for everyone's safety

Beautiful place to take a walk, very large area with lots of amazing scenery. Absolutely adore the wetlands and loved to see the birds both on and off water! The few rabbit sightings were also quite fun. Great place to spend time walking, definitely worth a visit.

Great park, if not a bit sparse on the woodland. Providing a bit more of a dense understory would be great for rare and endangered species …
