"I like it"
Interesting playground with a quirky feel, BBQ facilities are pretty good with undercover seating area. Great for young kids birthdays, family get togethers or a Sunday lunch. Toilet facilities (note they close at around 6pm), Half basketball court, a peaceful garden. Oakleigh recreation centre is only 50m walk up the path where in the summer Oakleigh swimming pool is open, gym, basketball courts, Waverley gymnastics centre (currently being built). From parts of the Scotchman creek trail signage indicating where places are could be improved particularly from Scotchman's Run reserve. The park hence the name was a Brickmaking facility (Oakleigh Brick Co.) It started making bricks in 1885 and ended in 1985. It is also a Monash heritage site where some equipment still remains. Overall great place and very peaceful and quiet.
Had a very nice experience to been in Brick makers park. Plenty of things to explore, brick-making machine of ancient time, rides, slides, swings, climbing net, trees, ground, flowers, very big area. Loved bridge across the little pond and obviously ducks and other birds were amazing ti see. Peaceful but full of fun opportunities. Good for picnics, excursions, sports, yoga, exercise, small gatherings. But park need bit of cleaning and development on some sides. Maybe due to lockdown its not been done.
This park has a nice under cover BBQ within easy reach of the playground. Nice range of equipment to satisfy the little tikes. Drinking fountain and loo nearby. A historical brick makers exhibit is at one end of the field and worth visiting. A lovely landscaped mini garden with pond is in this park area as well. There is an interesting wind chime at the top of the hill nearby. Please don't feed the ducks unless you are feeding it what it might find in nature.
The brick making machine artifact was interesting for me as 50 years ago I worked in the oil industry supplying lubricants for such giant machines. Showing twelve year old grandson the workings was briefly interesting to him too before shooting basketballs into the high basketball hoop nearby. He's in the Cyberspace age along with apparently all young males who spend endless time looking at screens while doing battle in virtual reality.
I like it. It's compact, but has a lovely pond surrounded by a pretty and well looked after garden area, a playground, BBQ, some parking, amenities, some brickwork-themed features, and a few paths. It's not a walkers' park as such, but you can head out either side along Scotchman's Creek trails and have a longer amble if that's your thing. For a small, suburban oasis, I'm a fan.
A nice quiet area despite being surrounded by office spaces. Its got a big oval and a running track. A playground and barbecue place. A small pond and a few walking bridges. Good for a 30 min break. Its got a brick making machinery to see(not functional of course).
Playground
Usual slides and swings.
Small but quiet park tucked in between an industrial area and a busy highway. There are public toilets which were clean, a small playground, bbq facilities and a small pond where ducks can be found. No dogs off leash though.
Pleasant place to take small children if you don’t mind toad noise from nearby freeway. Playground was great for 2 year olds and native park with ducks was a hit! Well looked after and would be a great place for a picnic
Cute quiet park with a playground and one main covered area for a possible mini outdoor / open party. Plenty of parking and the playground is somewhat secluded so if you’re for something smaller and tame, a great option
Nice place to bring kids. Bins provided. Parking available. Bbq facilities available. Perfect for a picnic with kids or if you are having an evening walk. There is a small ground as well. Dogs are not allowed though.
Beautiful little park with all facilities *walking and cycling tracks *picnic area *children play area *Small pond "small garden with flowers *Art work on Brick laying *Yes a public toilet
Needs something for younger kids...a sandpit or something but other than that it is a nice quiet location with a lovely garden area and large oval big enough for a kick of a footy!
Right near Scotchman’s creek Trail, this is a great park for a picnic or kicking a football. There is a playground and picnic tables. The Oakleigh coffee shops are not far away!
Nice family park, clam and perfect for a day picnic, good for kids also, should have more lavatories facilities, needs to have more sings for keeping the facilities cleanliness
Nice place to celebrate picnics or small function clean BBq facility.

Brickmakers has an interesting history, an amazing playground, small lake, wind carillion and space to enjoy. The kids, the dog and parents all have something to enjoy....

Such a wonderful space for kids and a family bbq. The playground area is well shaded naturally by trees. One of our favourite parks.
Good variety of spaces at the park. Suitable for exercise, playing, and picnics. Has garden for scenery and toilet amenities.
Great local park with good undercover eating area and newly designed play area. External fencing can do with an upgrade.
Great park with lot's of good infrastructure. Lake, open areas, playground, garden and picnic areas are all well kept.
Fun to reverse engineer the operation of the brick making machine. Lots of space to play and a wonderful water garden
Good place for kids, have bbq, toilet, and playground. The yard is not flat so make sure if you bike with the kids.
Small but nice playground, also some nature walks, can see ducks and interesting plants like a huge aloe bush.

Great little park for lockdown picnics. Not too busy. Lots of benches for sitting and a public toilet
Newly constructed play space. Very spacious area. Easy access and has a car park next to it as well.
Nice park with a superloo on site but, stupidly it was locked for the night at 7pm why Monash?
Great place for family events. Many public celebrations take place here, keep a watch out.
Plenty of mosquito fish and a small playground for the kids while you BBQ your fish …
Interesting park with some local history information which very few locals know about.
Lovely gardens with sunny childrens park leading onto bike track and walking path
Nice looking park with good amenities, can get a bit boggy in the winter months.
Nice park and mini lake. No dogs off lead, so no point if you can't play fetch.
