It is difficult to put into words how poorly I was treated by this company following the death of my mother. Lack of any compassion is how I would describe this company. After paying for my mothers funeral I was refused a receipt and told that they would not even discuss my mothers funeral with me. Mary from accounts proceeded to tell me that I was not infact my mothers daughter and that my cousin was my mothers daughter and that they will only discuss matters with her. I was told the funeral was private and they will not discuss it with me at all. What kind of funeral home tells the grieving daughter she is not family and although you were quite willing to charge my credit card for the funeral you then refuse me a receipt Who treats people like this??? The day of the funeral was also humiliating when both my brother and I were initially denied access to the viewing of our own mother, the deceased's own children. We were treated as if we were some uninvited guest trying to crash a party and had to stand there and wait whilst you asked our cousin for permission. Not to mention at no point were we included in the planning of the day with the celebrant which I find beyond odd or did the celebrant even take a moment to talk to either of us even on the day of the funeral. What kind of funeral home acts this way? Appalling is all I can say.

If there are awards for rockstar funeral services then browne brothers would need a warehouse to store all of theirs in. I made an appointment to discuss my fathers future funeral arrangements, well he must've liked them because he passed the same day . One phone call to Danni later that day and everything was taken care of. All of our wishes wants and needs were meet and accomodated. The compassion and respect shown not only to my dad but the whole family was outstanding. Everyone is amazing and caring you have all made this ordeal bearable . I want to thank all of you and especially Danni. My dad was so peaceful and calm thankyou for taking such great care of him for us. Sending you all my most heartfelt gratitude and love. THANKYOU

Things did not flow as they should should have. Documents weren’t completed accurately resulting in me needing to attend the office to ensure corrections were expedient and accurate. The company thought they would send the deceased to Lake Mulwala (NSW) instead of Springvale (Vic) - this may be a cost cutting practice but was not well received by me. I eventually managed to get them to use Springvale. Not a good experience. The out of hour’s transport was an additional $440 which seems a bit expensive especially considering they are happy to transport bodies to Lake Mulwala for cremation and then transfer the ashes back to Melbourne. However, the out of hours driver was very respectful and I could not fault him.

From the moment I initially made contact with Browne Brothers I immediately felt at ease. Amy and all the staff were very compassionate, understanding, caring and ever so helpful. We had never been in the position of having to arrange a funeral and after discussing just a few specifics Browne Brothers organised everything and well exceeded our expectations. The lower priced funeral we chose did not compromise on the level of service and support we received or the quality of the funeral itself. All in attendance complimented on how lovely the service was. We highly recommend using Browne Brothers and will never forget how they made such a hard time in our lives a lot easier and less stressful. Thank you to all.

The worst day of our lives was made so much easier with the help of Terri from Browne Brothers funerals at Cheltenham. We all felt very comfortable with him from the first meeting. He was caring, compassionate and respectful of our wishes from beginning to end. He recommended Wendy Withers as our celebrant for the service and together with this wonderful lady Mums final farewell was made flawless. I have been unfortunate to have to arrange funerals previously. On this most recent occasion I was so very lucky to be able to have Amy to work with. Her caring compassionate demeanor is something that I was very grateful for. Nothing was ever a stupid question or too difficult. Even down to her wearing a scrunchie in her hair that was my husband's favourite colour. Her arranging of my husband's funeral was spot on. I am so very grateful that she was able to guide me through such a horrible time. I am eternally grateful.

My Dad past away a couple of weeks ago & I got Browne Brothers to look after the arrangement . Michael called me to arrange the service and he told me not to stress and just tell him what we wanted. As a catholic family we went along with all his suggestions and at the end of the day it worked out perfectly . On the day of the funeral Michael was the celebrant and did a fantastic job all around. We found the whole experience with Browne Brothers excellent. The overall service, including coming to see us at our home, the quality of the funeral and the booklets and the staff was very good. Browne Brothers were not only affordable but made a difficult time much easier by taking care of a lot of the details at this difficult time.

We had a Hindu ceremony for my mother. They were accommodating to all requests and we felt welcomed and very well looked after. They knew how to dress her in a sari and our Hindu crematorium rituals. They don’t push anything on you, they treat you with kindness and respect. We would recommend to anyone needing their services.
