I wanted to share my experience. After our service we decided to book the function room at Bunnerong for the wake which was booked in advance for 60 guests following the passing of my 82 old father. The wake was embarrassing & completely under catered for. Upon arrival we found only 16 chairs set up for our group causing myself and Tobin funeral director to source additional chairs for the 40 old elderly pensioner guests left standing. Bunnerong had only allocated I person to cater for the whole 1.5hr function. Coffee, cups , and even the water ran out leaving guests waiting for refreshments. Next, we had pre-purchased and fully paid for a crypt in the Musaleom several years earlier as I wanted no nasty surprises at the time of rhe service., so I paid everything in advance! When ordering the inscription Bunnerong decided to charge me $10 for one extra letter because I had exceeded the inscription allowance by 1 letter. When asked if I could source my own stone mason , i was told that I wasn’t allowed and Bunnerong had an exclusive agreement with one that does all the Musoleaum inscriptions. I was then quoted $400 for a photo which I thought was a bit rich. As such I decided to source my own photo and found an identical one for only $200 from another supplier. After I told the Bunnerong consultant I would supply my own photo, all she was only interested to know where I was sourcing my photo from. I refused to disclose my source. She reluctantly accepted my decision & then offered to have their person fit it. I accepted her offer. A few weeks later I called to inform her that I had received the photo and could drop it off for them to fix to the inscription. To my surprise, she said ‘we will have to charge you!!!!!!! ‘ I told her forget it & I will fix it myself. In my mind it’s clear the care factor is low & all Bunnerong want from me is $$$$. For a brief second, I actually thought they cared ! ☹️☹️

I am so upset by your lack of thought and courtesy, empathy sympathy or whatever else you might call it. Is there no thought for the relatives? I have had my husband of 49 years cremated at your premises on the 11th of June I did expect a phone call saying when I could pick up his ashes, but NOTHING. Not even was my funeral company given a phone call. Needless to say I have not had to deal with this before so was very confused that I had heard nothing and it was up to me to contact you. This is so upsetting that you don't even have the courtesy of one phone call to say you can collect the ashes. So my husband has been sitting God knows where waiting to be claimed and taken home all for the courtesy of a phone call. Your PR is sadly lacking. As one person said they are government so what can you expect. I am so upset by this, he could have been home days ago. What can I say. This is so upsetting.

The feeling one gets when one arrives at Bunurong Memorial Park is peacefulness and serenity. No eerie feeling. Such a beautiful place that is well planned and organised. Variable burial/cremation options! The place still looks very new as it opened in 1995. Lots of future land expansion. We came here to pre-booked mum’s funeral as she so desired. Kim, at the reception is very friendly, courteous and pleasant. Our consultant, Isabelle was informative, patient, honest, sincere and funny. No obligations for any purchase/booking. We were taken to the various sites options to explore. The service was impeccable. This memorial park definitely is changing the cemetery scene to be a place of comfort and solace. There is even a BBQ pit area! Food catering and floral services are also provided. A beautiful place to Rest In Peace.

We are very disappointed at the service at this place. My parents just came home from looking to see if they could purchase a place to be buried in the future when they pass away. They were greeted by Sara, who I believe has an Argentinian background. My parents being from a Latin background as well thought that it was great. But unfortunately they were treated with disrespect and talked down to Sara. I would like to direct this review to the manager of this place or to this owner. Having Sara as a representative of your businesses is a bad representation of your business .my parents were going there ready to purchase something, but they will do not do that now. I think its extremely important to know who is representing your business. We now are going to go somewhere else for what we are looking for.

A Big Thank You! This cemetery is always exceptionally well kept with lovely walkways and lakes. We went to pay our respects the other day to a family member and went into a panic,as we could not find the grave site due to gardening and landscaping activities going on. Well we want to say a massive thank you to all the landscaping/gardeners guys who were working there, especially the Scottish lad who went out of his way to track down the grave site. Some trees had been removed which made us loose our bearings, for we always used to sit under those particular trees. Anyway thank you all for your sensitive and caring nature. Warm regards. Robert and Margherita.

The government states we could have 10 to attend a funeral, but Bunurong refused to allow us to have eight people to attend a cremation yesterday, We wanted eight adults to be able to have a private funeral in our own way, by meeting the hearse and placing a flower each on it and saying a prayer, before the coffin was taken to the crematorium. We would be masked and we would obey social distancing rules. We were refused permission. The message was that would not be considered to be a funeral. Then i was offered a 15-minute slot in the chapel if I paid $1,000. No real concern for the recently bereaved here.

We were organizing a funeral and I was told by Lisa from Bunnerong that she didn't like my attached and she stormed off all because I couldn't understand what she was trying to say and I asked her to repeat herself. Omg i had just lost my brother and to be treated like this at the cemetery is just unforgivable. The place is also very different to get around and poorly signed.

It has been a little while since i was last at Bunurong Park. The directions to find the appropriate chaple was so confusing. There is no clear direction at all. People were walking around confused and we had to ask where do we go. The chaple itself was ok. During slide show the glare was so bright that the photos were had to see. It is a big place but hard to navigate.

My loving partner passed away in October 2015. I couldn't wish for a more beautiful place as he's final resting place. The staff we're fantastic & showed so much compassion during a very difficult time. I have since purchased my own plot next to my partner & I was assisted in the same caring manner. It is so serene & peaceful, it truly is so very beautiful. Thank you.

  • Petra Tierney

Their customer service is pretty poor, you are just a number, no personal service at all. Despite telling you , you have a year to decide on what to do with your loved one, you sent threatening letters saying your loved ashes will be disposed of and you won't know where if you don't collect/ decide. Needless to say, it quickly didn't become our choice after that!

  • Josh Mellor

A nicely laid out cemetery. We had a memorial service in the Storrier function room with ~50 people. The room was beautiful, the catering was decent, and we didn't feel pressured to leave by the allotted time. My only criticism is the signage was quite poor around the entrance. We had a hard time finding the Stratus chapel when we first entered.

  • Delan Adikari

We had a funeral service here for my father. The location and setting is very nice. The function staff were excellent and most helpful. The reception staff were not so helpful always saying go ask your funeral director. Given most people are grieving and not experienced at organising funerals at short notice they could have been more helpful

We chose a site away from the highway, with a tree at the head. It seemed nice. Sadly its almost always waterlogged and squishy underfoot. My brother-in-law finds it difficult to get to it in his wheelchair. Also the trees are struggling in the wet soil. I hope that something is to be done about that.

  • Kerbray

A really peaceful Memorial Park and very much of a celebration of life. The gardens, fountains and small lake are very beautiful and add to the serenity. Very modern looking and pleasant for a quiet walk. There's toilet facilities and a cafe onsite, with both indoor and outdoor seating.

  • Veki Pocuca

A seemingly daunting process was made extremely pleasant by the customer care consultant Sara Edwards. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable and respectful whilst also being super courteous and friendly during our appointment. Overall, a very positive experience - good job Sara!

  • Linda Fell

From start to finish Bunurong Memorial Park displayed total respect and care for both my mother (who was cremated) and our family, I'm glad we never went anywhere else. Their facility is both beautiful, comforting and immaculately clean. The care and compassion was 2nd to none.

  • Bella B

Bunurong Memorial Park has changed the concept of cemetery. It's so beautiful and peaceful. It's well maintained. The staff are so understanding. They acknowledge the religion differences and support you in whatever way they can. Can't say enough of this place and staff.

  • pierre colomiere

Not somewhere you want to be but if the need arises where you had to be there to farewell your loved ones or to visit departed loved ones it would be quite a sombre but relaxing place. They make it as welcoming as possible. It'd be a great Park if it wasn't a Cemetery.

  • Henri Hopmans

First time for me to see the insight of this Memorial Park, I am ferry impressed, plot areas for the different community group, no wonder this Memorial Park is so big. There will have to built Memorial Parks like this one well than to the people who built this one.

  • Jake Craddock

Perfect place to have a funeral. Since they updated this place its able to do multiple funerals at once. Has a computer screen in the wall at the entrance if you want to find someone so that way you won't have to go up and down each row to find you're loved one.

  • Rosemary Carere

My father is buried in the muslim at Bunurong Cemetery and I can't tell you how peaceful this place is. It brings the family peace knowing your love one is well kept. The staff have been wonderful to deal with, they made everything easy with no stress.

  • Philip Hodges

It has grown a lot.plus caught up with some gardeners from the Necropolis. Plus today's service was for a great lovable person, named Sue Glassborow,at the Sanctuary. Plus caught up with Joan and daughter, who lived next door. Facilities were great.

  • Jam

Holes for the pass 3year I had to ask to have it filled, but today was a nightmare on 30 Oct 19 the hole at base of stone was very large larger. I've broken down to see it like that and reported it again, still waiting to have it filled by today..

  • Neil lovett

There for a father's day memorial service ( a few days early on a Thursday evening , a good idea I think ) , tasteful and respectful. The grounds here are calming and peaceful and a reflective place to remember your loved ones no longer with us.

  • Leonie Wuillemin

Your pews are extremely uncomfortable, the only seating in the foyer were very low benches , too low for the number of elderly people who were attending the funeral. The celebrant should be standing on a podimon we couldn't see her at all.

  • Glenn Hart

A beautiful funeral for my wife Ann who left this world far to early. Bunarong Memorial Park is a gorgeous place for everyone to gather and say goodbye and celebrate their loved one's lives. I was given total respect throughout the day.

  • Inna Vainer

I have been waiting for refund of services we decided not to use for 3 months and still waiting... Contacted them a number of times, requested for supervisor to follow up and still complete silence. Extremely disappointing experience

  • Dannie Clarke

Wake services EXCELLENT but the morticians need to learn make-up skills when preparing bodies for viewing. Gray complection with blue lips leaves you a bit mortified when viewing someone you knew. A bit of makeup wouldn't go astray.

  • mark showler

Very professional staff and great facilities, it all still looks very new and freshly landscaped which isn't something I usually associate with places like these. Could maybe use a map or two to help find your way

  • Cherylyn Brabazon

Beautiful place. But I think they should have respect for family of the deceased. The service I went to the staff were not helpful. Did not do photo or the music. We listen to music of a members phone.

  • Charlie P

They do not maintain grave sites properly. Ask them to repair holes in ground next to grave site. Was told it had been done. Following day went to site and was not done. Was told a straight out lie.

  • shahab kiavar

This is a photo of leftover rubbish bins with no lead,I saw it for last 3 weeks, This is a place that charging you +6500 $ for each grave it is showing how respectful they are!!! #poor_Management
