"Well kept little area and surprisingly quiet, only a 15 min walk from town centre and good place to view river birds(many swans are close by) while on one of the bench seats,it's a nice place to walk through and across the little bridge toward Bede park area, flower beds are normally very colourful"
"Castle Gardens are absolutely beautiful"
"Nice and quite place to go to for some much needed relaxation, if it's a nice sunny day there are some places for groups to sit and enjoy a picnic on the grass there are a few benches to reset on too"
I went early in the morning with my friend so had the park to ourselves and it was such a relaxing place to be. The sitting area at the top of the stairs has a wonderful view of most of the park and for a relatively small space it has a lot to offer, whether you looking for somewhere somewhere to just relax or you're passing through.
Lovely place to go during a busy university day. Absolutely lovely park directly next to De Monfort University. Very well maintained, and has a nice bit of history with the Celtic story telling area. Recommend coming here to unwind or to get a breath of fresh air. Lovely amount of trees and plants for something surrounded by city!

Castle Gardens are absolutely beautiful. Trees and flowers of all varieties. It's also by the River. There are tables and seats. You can take your sandwiches and watch the swans, geese and sometimes a rowing boat go by. Near to the City Centre, but you can relax and take "time out". Be refreshed.
Nice and quite place to go to for some much needed relaxation, if it's a nice sunny day there are some places for groups to sit and enjoy a picnic on the grass there are a few benches to reset on too. There is also a really nice pond and a connection bridge that leads over the canel
Lovely place to walk and spend a winter's afternoon. Can lead into the city roads, to other parts of the castle gate and to see the trinity house. Also can walk from here to other museums and come back to walk near the canal. Lovely to see the ducks and swans in the River Soar .
Lovely place on the side of the river. Also good for photography. It has every details written on different boards about the glory of the park and the history related to the city. Also the detail about flowers there........................................
We always go through the Castle Gardens every time we walk to city centre. Always well kept, with lovely flowers this time of year. There's space for people to sit, even eat some lunch or just to enjoy the scenery. Can get a good look at
Really small beautiful serene park only a few minutes from the centre of the city. Lovely place to take a break and to have a walk along the canal. Not much cover from rain or much to do apart from to sit and relax however. Only taking a
Small park just off the city centre. Lovely to walk through beside the river. Many different tree species to admire, and fairly well maintained shrub, herbaceous and seasonal planting, so varied interest throughout the year. Close to
Visiting my daughter at uni, I took advantage of the sunny weather and went for a walk around Castle Park. What a lovely little place it is. Lots of benches for people watching. We walked both sides of the river via the bridge.
This small public garden is welcoming and well maintained. You can spend pleasant moments in relaxation while being close to the chaotic centre of the city. Present varieties of flora and fauna. Ideal also for children.
It's a park in Leicester city centre, it is in between the canal and the castle Motte. No children's play area. No public conveniences. It is purely a place to sit and enjoy your sandwiches at lunch. A nice place.
Just lovely and almost in the heart of Leicester Town centre. Ducks, geese and a rower on the river. Even pigeons came to be a fed. Gardens looked just great. Nature at its best. What's not to like?! …
Lovely little park alongside the canal in Leicester city. Plenty of benches to sit on, and the gardens were really well maintained. Next time I am in the city, I will definitely be coming back here!
This is a great park within the walk distance from DMU University and some accomodations. Nice to spend time walking or just sitting there with the view, specially during the summer I guess.
Great small park which contains alot of beautiful plants and grass near a beautiful lake. Lovely to go to chill at especially if you love nature. …
It was new years day when last there. Lovely gardens and well set out. Beautiful place in the summer. Unfortunately, there was a group of Eastern Europeans, drinking and not social
This place looks awesome during spring, fall and summer. Nice place for feeding birds and a short sandwich break in the wooden benches of the park.
Beautiful place near an old church. Very beautiful, peaceful and quiet. There weren't many people it was clean and looked aesthetically pleasing
Moored our boat on the pontoon in the park. Lovely spot with the cherry blossom and an easy walk to the be cathedral and covered market.
Beautiful park, with an amazing festival thoughout the park and though the city A+++++ great attractions and street performers.
Beautiful small park near the centre of town. Tranquil on the Sunday morning we visited. Unusually exotic selection of plants.
Beautiful place to chill out. Although you get crowds of people gathering drinking beer. So much for social distancing.
Peaceful, and as spring is on the way those little buds will start to wake up for their blossom!
Lovely place came in the winter but would be beautiful in the summer overlooking the river.
Pros: Green area , river , boating , swans Cons: Litter , No play area
A beautiful place to get some fresh air in the city of Leicester
