Held a lunchtime function here and everything was exceptional to celebrate the baptism of my little girl. Firstly, the customer service was outstanding. I booked the venue 3 months in advance and leading up to this, Hayley had been very attentive answering all of my emails and questions to ensure everything would go smoothly. She encouraged us to come view the space and to set up/decorate the night before. On the day of my function she was very helpful encouraging us to take home the left overs and cut and served our cake for us. Our bar staff was also friendly and attentive. Next the food. I had never actually been here before but their function package was the most affordable in the area so we went with it. My family had concerns that some food would be bulk sourced frozen, but this at least did not taste like the case. The food all tasted fresh and made in house. We especially liked the mini burgers, prawn twisters and lamb skewers. Would definitely look at having more functions here in the future and will probably stop by for lunch at their bistro now too.

Hosted my dads suprise 60th Birthday here on saturday night in the park function room very last minute notice however very accommodating.I cannot say one bad word about my experience with hosting my event here and everything was smooth sailing from the very start. Alex was great to communicate with and arrange my booking over the phone and numerous emails back and fourth to get the ball rolling, i was then passed onto Hayley to arrange the remaining onsite she was an absolute superstar and nothing was to much.Hayley went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time and helped us create special memories that we will always hold close to us. Communication is key and we were always kept upto date throughout the night regarding bar tab, food etc even remembering all our drinks . The team let us prepare the room in advance prior to the event which made the night so much less stressful. A massive shout out to hayley and the team for everything definitely A+ service and we will definitely look at hosting more functions in the near future.

Had my wife's 40th birthday party in a function room at the Deer Park Hotel last night. Could not fault the customer service from the first meeting with function manager Belinda, until finish. She was so very helpful all the way through the lead up to the party and constantly checking in on the night ensuring our party went smoothly and a great night had by all. Thank you so very much Belinda. A big thank you to venue manager Aaron who also went out of his way to ensure our night was a success. For food, we went a selection of numerous platters, which all came out in a timely manner. The platters were a great size and tasty as well. I would highly recommend the use of their function room for events. We will certainly use it and the Deer Park Hotel in the future. Thank you again Belinda and Aaron, and the Deer Park Hotel. Been looking forward to trying their food as I drive past for work everyday, unfortunately I was left disappointed! The orders were mixed up and 1 of the meals was brought out as everyone on our table finished eating. The mash potatoes tasted disgusting and the steak was cooked well done even though I requested medium rare. The 2 stars I’m giving is for the great service from the lovely waitress/bartender and the Parmas were delicious. During the 1.5 hours we were there, the Indian Manager was too busy sitting with his friends eating and chatting while there was only 1 staff member managing the floor and bar. Maybe things could have run smoothly if he was doing his job. Will definitely not be coming back again!!

Had lunch today. Had pensioner roast pork and berry cheesecake on sponge cake with cream. My last review mentioned receiving warm water. The water was icy cold today. The pork roast was quite generous the gravy good not too strong or salty. One more roast potato would have gone down perfectly, no-one cooks carrots these days, they were too firm. The other veggies were fine I'd have preferred them cooked a little more - but thats 'personal taste. Over all the meal was very good and the customer service all be it a little slow was also very good. Oh and the background music was appropriate and at the perfect level to be able to chat. Overall it was a great experience for my friend and I.....

Celebrated my dad's 80th Birthday last Sunday. We called the Hotel a month ago to make the booking and the staff and Manager's Sarah and Hayley were soo nice and helpful. They showed me the room and did everything they could to make the day perfect. They said I could come the night before to set up the room to make things easier. On the Day Hayley was there to make sure everything was perfect and everyone was having a good time. The Staff and the food was wonderful and all 30 people attended had a fantastic time. My dad was so happy with how it went and came by the next day to thank the staff for making the day a wonderful one. Thank you Hayley and Sarah and everyone involved.

Just wanted to add some comments here. The food was so nice. Fish cooked beautifully and the dressing on the salad was the tastiest I've ever had. Outdoor seating area was perfect. Lots of space and shade on a warm day. The waitress was really friendly and helpful and we were able to order online from the table which is always a bonus. Highly recommend this place.

It's been many years since I last ate at Deer Park Hotel as the menu went downhill due to a new chef. The food was delicious,a wonderful tour of local specialties with excellent presentation.Each course was well balanced,great textures and flavours. Good family restaurant. Came with a group of friends with families total of 14 people and seated comfortably on a rectangular table. Electronic ordering from the table made it even better not having to queue up and pressured on what to order. There’s several areas you can dine with amusement for teenagers. Ample parking and is off Ballarat Rd with easy access. Food is great and didn’t have to wait for so long even with the stakes. Friendly staff and clean. Bathrooms a bit old but immaculate. Well recommended place.

We had to wait 45 mins for our meal, 1/3 of the tables was filled. However when we got our food we were very happy with it. Ordered the ribeye steak special and Parma. Ribeye 8/10 the veggie were cut really big. Parma 7.5/10 ideal amount of source could do with more cheese and the salad dressing is way too sweet. Will come back.

We normally stop at a place half the distance from our house. Ended up here by accident and we have won the lotto. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had. The ribs were so tender and delicious that the meat fell off the bone. I only gave it 5 stars as it doesn’t go up to 10.

Just wanted to say thank you to the security team that looked after us at our 21st bday Function (20/10/23). The men's toilets were out of order in the function room and the security men helped me wheel my elderly dad over the uneven paving to the disabled toilets and got the bar staff to unlock it. Had lunch there , there were only the two of us, so it was lovely and quite for our girly catch up! The young lady that attended to us was just lovely, friendly and helpful. I wish I could remember her name! She was a credit to you! I came in about a week ago and was served in both the gaming area and the eating area by Jessie. It was very busy at the time but Jessie kept making sure we were being looked after, she was very attentive. Her hospitality set a nice vibe for the restaurant and I hope she’s there when we go back next time. I will definitely be eating there again because of her!!

Mega Parma was filling and delicious especially for the price definitely worth it. Our waitress Jessie was definitely an awesome person and made sure everything was alright her recommendation of the garlic aioli was definitely a good recommendation as the garlic and creamy taste was absolutely amazing!

Nice and quiet place to sit and enjoy a countermeal and where else can you get a nice pint of lager with a succulent chicken parma with sides of chips and salad for $17. Very much satisfied first time I've been here.

The current team of Jessie, Emily, Arnyka, Mel, Ranjan, Sarah, and Matthew, in fact, all staff have recently injected a real hospitality experience not often seen in a gaming venue. I have not gone into the city venues for ages now that i have an extremely enjoyable time on each and every occasion.

Went for a meal with friends tonight. 4 adults and two kids. Great atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. I would definitely recommend the food and the place. Staff are incredibly efficient and friendly. And a heads up, get the mars bar cake, it’s to die for. Thank you for a great evening

Came with the family and had a wonderful dinner. Service from Simone was excellent and meals were delicious. We had the Share Platter and the calamari was tender. The Snapper was great and the Rump steak was cooked to perfection. Will come again.

Stopped by pretty early so we had the garlic bread & scotch fillet steak. The food was cooked to perfection, delicious and served generously. Cashier was very welcoming and sweet, would recommend for anyone with a big appetite to try this place!

Fantastic venue, extremely friendly staff, great for parties. If you are bumping in for party setup it's easy access and lots of space. Highly recommended for your next function
