These guys are awesome. Bought a second hand dual suspension mtb privately to get into the sport and took it in because the forks were sticking. They had a crack at servicing them but they had gone to far - so had to replace the fork. I was pretty bummed that I would have to spend a bit of $$ on this bike that I just wanted to ride (thats what you get buying s/h private though). Without asking or mentioning they took the service price of the price of the new forks - that is unreal customer service and it would he hard to find another place that does that. They also gave it a tune-up and its as smooth as butter now- I cant wait to get out and ride! From the first time I stepped in store was an awesome experience and greeted with friendly knowledgable staff who arent pushy and dont want to just sell you stuff - all staff that I dealt with live and breath the sport and are super passionate. 11/10 would reccomend and I'll definitely be back when I upgrade! Very interesting experience. So I found these guys on the net and they had a special on an avanti. It was advertised as in stock - sweet. I go there. I get there and ask a shop assistant about the deal - he says ok, let me look that up - he walks away without saying a word, he then goes on to serve another customer. I'm standing there, hmmmmmm. After several minutes I ask another shop assistant about the bike I was after, they look it up and then just quietly wander away, nothing said, no word. We were standing in their store, whilst they just kind of ignored us, probably hoping we would go away. In the end I had to confront them and begrudgingly they honoured the deal that was advertised online. Incredible experience, they then informed me to bring the bike back after a couple of weeks for a service - really! You think I trust their customer service now!!! I will take it to another place even if I have to pay for it then these weirdos.

Just completed my second custom build with FTR within 18 months. I hadn’t planned on this latest bike but given FTR have such a big demo fleet available, when the Forbidden Druid came out and was added to their fleet, it perked my interest big time. After organising a demo with the shop for the weekend, I was sold. This is just one of the reasons I would add to FTR easily being Queensland’s best MTB bike shop. Add to list the amount of different bike brands they sell, the amount of componentry and kit they stock, their ability to help you out on price where possible and staff knowledge and professionalism and you’ve got a one stop shop for everything MTB related. Due to COVID-19 we couldn’t get certain parts and some parts were delayed but this was always communicated to me as soon as there was an update. They are as pumped to see you on your dream bike as you are to ride it. No need to go anywhere else, highly highly recommended.

Being new to getting into a bike I wanted to make sure who I was dealing with could listen to what I was hoping to do , give me guidance on why to buy and also support me after the sale. From the first email for the riders have been nothing but professional , Chris and Jamie especially have been so knowledgeable and approachable the whole way through not once making me feel like a kook. It’s rare to see this level of customer service in any industry these days and they have gone above and beyond to make sure I understood the set up, how to maintain it and also what and how it is set up. I can’t thank them enough and after going to 2 other shops in Brisbane before these guys with disappointing experiences, I’m so glad I went over and saw for the riders. Can’t recommend them enough. Fantastic service and knowledge from the FTR team. Dedicated to MTB and stock a wide variety of bikes, accessories and parts. That's why I keep going back! Luke and Justin take care of business and always make sure you are walking out with the right bike and gear. If you are new to the sport and after an entry level bike or your after the elite level, they have you covered. The fellas out the back in the service area know what they are doing and always help me regardless of if I get them to service my bike or if I am doing my own work at home. Very thorough and always on time. I have never had any issues with service from the FTR team. They aren't the cheapest but I guess you can't put a value on service, experience, knowledge and professionalism. You get what you pay for!

I organised with this bike shop on a Wednesday when I left my bike with them for a service, to also immediately remove my front shock and to give it immediately to ns to service it that same day for my collection early the next week - na were expecting the shock that day. This bike shop did nothing till I phoned ns 5 days later to find they had not been given the shock, and that they had discovered my bike had not been touched - ns got their finger out and got my shock from them that same day and serviced it immediately; they then returned it to this bike shock who again did nothing with it. Again, I had to phone them to establish they'd done nothing with it in 6 days. So, based on my experience, they deserve to starve.

We are riding our bicycles around the world and after four and a half years we needed the ball bearings in our bottom brackets replaced. Since we needed a special part, For The Riders allowed us to ship the Phil Wood bearing directly to their shop since we have no permanent address. They fit us into their busy schedule on short notice and did outstanding work changing out the ball bearings. They sold us what we needed to change out our gearing cables as well and then helped us out twice when we ran into problems changing the cables. We can not thank Josh and the team enough for getting us back on the road. They are an outstanding bike shop. If you're in Brisbane and need your bike fixed, this is the place to go.

Absolutely excellent shop if you're a keen mountain biker. I rented a high end carbon Yeti for a couple days and couldn't be happier. Excellent advice as well as bike fit, setup and advice on where to ride. I'm not familiar with the cost of bikes in Australia so can't comment on that aspect. This is the first shop to properly set the sag of the suspension and saddle height. I can easily do this myself but it's rare to see this level of attention to detail. They even loaned me a pair of SPD cleats for my ride! Super friendly guys and overall one of the best shops I've been in. Superior in every way to most of the local bike shops in Wellington!

Super impressed with the service here. I went in to get a new bike and I was served by Jamie. I had already narrowed my choice down to 3 down different bikes. They had great stock so I was able to see the bikes and test ride them around the car park to get a feel for them. At the end of the day I still wasn't sure about 29" wheels, so I took a bike out for a test ride (which was free if I made a purchase there). I had a good time on the demo bike so came back the next day to buy the mountain bike. I have since been for a couple of rides and it feels exactly how I want it to - stable, plush and able to climb well. Thanks heaps guys.

I came into the store kind of knowing this was more of a "big boys toys" shop ... but looking for my son (5) to find a bike best suited to him. Not knowing much if anything about small kids bikes, I had quite a few questions. The whole team were working on bikes at the time, but they took time out and were all extremely professional, courteous, informative and helped me out with everything I needed question wise. Their advice and guidance really helped point me in a good direction to find a bike for my son. I'll definitely be back for more bike services for my bikes in future. Thank you!

By far the best MTB shop in Brissie. They sell all the spares and dream bikes youll ever need.new mgt is great. They helped out big time when I realised my rear shock doesn't use the bushing at bottom..it has its own bushing.. they pressed it out for me quickly and no charge as i needed to swap mine before a trip a few days later. Excellent service where i have bought my 5/10 shoes, spares and accessories. My last service was done elsewhere due to location..not next time.. I'll bring back here as they know their stuff.

When your able to physically walk into the shop you won't be disappointed. An amazing store with everything you could possibly need for riding! I dealt with Chris in store and he was very helpful. Although... I have emailed them asking for some prices on a bike and some add ons (a good $4,000+) and it has been a week waiting for a reply. I also tried calling and weren't overly helpful or interested. I have now gone and bought a bike somewhere else, but could have been a different story if they replied to an email.

Don't go to Brisbane often so decided to drop by the shop when I was in town last week wanting check out and buy a few items. Was the only customer in the shop throughout and was there for a good 20 minutes. No one greeted me as I entered and no one spoke to me or offered to help at all. There were at least 6 six staff in the shop at the time. One staff accidentally made eye contact when I was checking out an item but instead of offering to help he looked away. I walked out spent my hard earned money elsewhere.

Very happy with the service received from "For The Riders", I did a warranty claim for my bike that I did not even purchased from there and they were really friendly and proactive to assist me with warranty claims with fox; the overall experience was stress free. “For The Riders" handled pretty much everything, got the part back from Fox and installed it back on my bike. I only had to go and collect my bike. I highly recommend these guys as their customer service and support is excellent.

Absolutely Bad service- VERY DISSAPOINTED. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. My Dad Bought the Mountain Bike for my 15 Year Old Son and only after 6 Months the Shock Absorber on the Front Fork is damaged and the Poor Kid only rides it a few times- My Dad took it Back to the Blokes at For The Riders in Brisbane and they said no Warranty and the kid rode it 3 times. My Dad went nuts at them before they helped with a new part but the= manager was very rude to him

I just bought a Giant Reign 1 from FTR and found the whole experience was made so simple by the guys especially Josh who helped me personally. With above average knowledge for mountain bikes and absolute love for riding, Josh went out of his way to make sure I get the right bike according to my needs. After an offroad bingle I dropped off the gravel bike for a groupset swap out and service. The talented yet delicate hands of James W weaved their magic. A day later she rolled out of there like a brand new bike. The sun was shining, birds were chirping and I even think a motorist waved to me - I can only assume this was all due to the excellent servicing provided by James. Thanks mate ✌️

3 bikes purchased over many years. By far the best in-store experience , great advice, efficient turn around on warranty, bike set up and customer service in Brisbane. When I approached for the riders to price match a bike for my son, they went a step further. Beat the price lower and presented the bike with personalised number plates. A son's smile is priceless.

My son and I have visited For the Riders in Annerley on several occasions. I would like to mention Tomas who knows us by name when we enter the store. Tomas is helpful without being pushy. We recently purchased a Scott Spark from 'For the Riders' and we can't speak highly enough of the experience. Firstly, these guys know mountain bikes, and they are open and honest about matching your level to bikes they have. Tom was great to deal with and really looked after us. I also use them for servicing and the quality of work is top shelf.

Dropped by the other night around 5:30 to grab a few bits and was met with Chris. What a legend, I felt bad for arriving late but he had all the time in the world to make sure I got the right parts to dial in my bike. Super polite and enthusiastic even so close to closing time! Outstanding service from both FTR and NSD. Had a problem with a very noisy shock on a new bike from Chain Reaction. It took a couple visits to track down where it was coming from, but the guys at FTR found an out of spec bearing in the X2 that was allowing things to knock around. Replaced with a properly sized bush and all is well!

Went there for the first time this evening to buy a helmet and goggle's. Got served by Chris. He gave me great service, told me about the mountain bike trails in the area once he found out I was new to Queensland. By far the best service is have had at a bike shop. I will be returning for all my future mountain biking needs.

Awsome shop could be in there for hrs looking around.. they deffently know what there doing, won't bother with the big chain bike shops anymore my mtb has never road better then when I took it into to the mechanics there spend a little more then I wanted but some times you have to pay for quality.

FTR provide a great range of bikes from entry level to boutique. Anyone can be friendly when they are selling you a bike but FTR are friendly and truly look after their customers when they come back with issues with their bikes. I have and will continue to recommended them as a great bike store.

The team at for the riders get customer service. Chris could not have been more accommodating, sharing his knowledge and answering all of my tedious questions with ease. I was in and out in 45 mins, new bike, initial setup and hit the trails that afternoon. Just go there, its that simple.

I moved to Brisbane at the start of the year and totally love this shop. Awesome range of MTB bikes, components and apparel. Friendly, helpful staff and they also have great shop rides which was perfect for getting to know fellow riders and riding spots. Keep up the good work fellas

Amazing local shop. These guys know their stuff, both Chris and Jaime are great to deal with over the last 2-3 years. Great product and industry knowledge. Their workshop are also legends when it comes to custom builds and any servicing. Better than buying from an online store

Purchasing a MTB from them was a good experience but it was all downhill after that, the bike had to be taken back 3 times due to mechanic error when building the bike. They then refused to answer any of my emails a few months later when there was an issue with the cranks.

Best bikeshop in Brisbane. I got a fantastic deal on my Yeti and they have an amazing workshop team who always get it running super smooth whenever it has needed a service. The shop is run by riders so good to just drop in for a chat as well. Highly recommended.

Jamie and the guys are always super friendly and helpful. They have a wide range of female mountain biking gear which is awesome. I find them knowledgeable and helpful when I have a query or an issue with my bike. One of the best MTB shops in Brisbane.

Fantastic customer service! I was seeking warranty on a product that's six months old. Service couldn't have been better. Shop replaced the product at their cost, and they'll then chase the manufacturer for the warranty.

Went there to get a price for a giant trance 1 the most expensive out of 4 giant bike shops I went to, no deal unless your getting a botique brand like a yeti or santa cruz, stay away and save your money else where

Went in and asked if I could get a shock pumped up and they did it straight away for me. When I asked how much I owed they said it wasn't a hassle and to not worry as they were happy to help.

Perhaps the best Mountainbike shop I have ever been to..... ever!! Great range of top bikes including Santa Cruz, Yeti, Niner, Intense and Giant. Very switched on knowledgeable staff.

Both the sales and workshop teams are very knowledgeable and friendly. There is always a solid range of parts and kit in stock and the latest and greatest bikes to check out too.

Always hate going into this shop because you always want to spend lots of money. On the flip side you get expert service and advice, in other words, you get what you pay for.
