Ever since they made the updates to the park it is great to walk the paths and see the sun set behind the city skyline in the distance. But what most people don't know is the rich history of the Parks and Recreation building right in the park. Before we established the Space Center off of Nasa Rd. the scientists originally occupied the facility in the mid to late 50s. At the same time the neighborhood of Pine Valley was being built. It is pretty cool to know where the hopes and dreams of the many astronauts and engineers first started and where we are today in the space program.

Some men keep coming up to me when I am walking around alone not bothering Noone. The other night some guy told me I had to walk on the other side of the park. I couldn't be on that side of the park. So l lifted the park and walked around the neighborhood and got the cops called on me and they took me to the hospital because it not normal for a man to walk to workout in his neighborhood . Sad times in the USA

About three days ago me and my mini pinscher went to park. All of a sudden a big black dog came chasing us, grab her and ran up slide. Warned a man and his kids too they got on swings. Finally another threw a rock at it to make it get away it was aggresive. Too many loose or lost dogs in The East End! Please don't buy dogs there's plenty running all over East End that need homes.

Have been asking about lighting in the park,we as seniors go early morning told them we have to take flashlights in order to be safe. Totally uncalled have reached out to park mgmt to no avail saying 30 to 60 days complaining since August not repaired yet. Tell us to re arrange our sch go later in the day, very disrespectful of city parks to tell us this.

The park itself is beautiful; however, the park is not maintained by workers very well. Trees are over grown to the point that limbs will hit you if you remain on the sidewalk and don't walk to avoid them. People take no pride in the area and just throw their trash down (even just 5' from the trash receptacles). It is not well lit at dawn and/or dusk.

Clean, well kept park. Lots of dog walkers, which I love to see. Feels pretty safe in an area that can be iffy... Major negative, the park is very dark in the evening. They need to add more lighting, and fix the lights that are not working. Also, they need to fix the dog water fountain, as it has been out of order for a few months now.

Aside from its peaceful environment, this park definitely involves salient creativity in the kid's play area. There are beautiful elephant structures and musically-influenced play instruments for even adults to enjoy. Also, the green space is enormous for all sorts of outdoor activities. This park is absolutely a must for park lovers.

Nice park with a lot of trail squeezed in. Most of the trail is uncovered, but some has tree shade. Plenty of benches and places to rest. Kids love the playground, it has cool musical instruments for them. Very large field for sports. Limited parking but usually we find space and there is additional parking on Wayside entrance.

Very beautiful park I always go and run, it’s sunny and shade parts and it’s a nice playground for kids. They have a football field, benches every where on the track. Also, they have grills it’s just a wonderful park to go to and on the other side they have another track with a bridge.

  • MR “Al B”

Nice little park with plenty of parking. There are handicapped spots and a bunch of concrete paths that can be used to navigate the park. There are a lot of picnic tables for a lovely little lunch at the park. Beautiful playground for the kiddos! We will be visiting again!

Just moved from Wisconsin and needed a place to exercise came to this park since it’s the closest, good environment but hated that there was no restrooms!!!!! Whaaat??? Never been to a public park with no restrooms that’s a must! And definitely needs more lighting.

NO RESTROOMS FOR CHILDREN OR ADULTS. How much time can you spend at a park before SOMEONE has to use a restroom? You have to get in your car and leave park to find a restroom 5 minutes away. Nice field for my 17 year old son's 7 on 7 football. Nice playground.

  • Keysha Garcia

Me and my kids go here at least once a week nice play area mainly for soccer n volleyball ball we love the open fields where it gives everyone space to do their own activities ..
Playground
Needs to be cleaned more often starting to look a little messy

  • Felisa M Edwards

Neighborhood park with recent update to include playground area and soccer/football field. A few tables and charcoal grills also available as well as portable facilities, no hand wash station. Not much shade area right now, scattered trees planted.

  • Eliadah Coe (Lia)

My 4 year old enjoys all the musical instruments and of course the curly slide! Nicely laid out and lit when sun starts to set. They need to treat for fire ants and get some nicer restrooms (port-a-johns only) but other than that we love it!

  • Allstar Ambassador (Houston Insider)

Coolest park I've seen. There's musical instruments built into the park for you to play. Great place to plan family party as there is much room for kids to roam yet still be seen. Also has a football field there too

  • Amber Mayeux

This place is a nightmare for weekend sporting events. The parking is far away from the football field and to top it off there was a group of men watching the girls and doing things to themselves. Disgusting!

  • Matthew Willcockson

Well-maintained, small- to medium-sized park. Nice paths, scenery, and play area; plenty of benches; and nice elephant sculptures. 2020-12: Main entrance for outdoor park is not the one on Google maps.

  • Evelyn Banda

Park is nicely kept and space is available for anyone to pass through. Playground is fun for the kids. Trash is an issue since it doesn’t seem to be picked up in general table and playground area.

  • beechan84

Pretty good equipment and large fields for playing football/soccer/baseball (didn't see a basketball court unfortunately). There was some litter though but overall it was a pretty nice park.

  • Katie Walker

Was there for work, but is super interesting building!
Playground
Super neat playground with lots of things for kids to play on.
Restrooms
Very clean and with a foot opener.

  • Mario

Great park to a walk in. It's always active and has a football field that is regularly used. It doesn't have a basketball court, but other than that a great spot to spend some time.

  • Angel Hernandez

Gragg Park is nice....Also home of the East End Eagles little league football team...ages 5-12yr olds. This is a great place to bring the family and spend time ,exercise, and play

  • Richard Ohanrahan

Got parking charge to get in credit card only. No cash. Tight ba backing and no where to park in active zone. Plastic toilets clean no water or sanitizer. Store, space selection.

  • Luisa Hernandez

  • Kimberly Espinoza

Came for little league and way too many restrictions. From checking in your cooler to getting parking ticket with no visable signs or warnings. Will not come back.

  • CHANGLIANG PENG

There is a welled constructed playground for kids with some fancy music instruments toys like tubes. Some run and jog there also. Neat place for parents and kids.

  • Trish K

  • Susana Cantu

  • Team Romel Studio (Team Romel Studio)

Great park. Lots of wild flowers. Beautiful trail to walk. The play area is fantastic. Only reason they get 3 stars is no public restroom.

  • David Garza

Very well maintained park for my kids to burn off energy, spacious walking path and plenty of property to stay stay distanced from others.

  • Anthony Rodriguez

Nice clean park, but the maintenance and upkeep on the kids play instruments are all missing parts...other than that, food chill spot

  • Yuichiro Hyakuya
