"WOW"
"Garbage-tier station"

This station closed early on New Year's Eve before 2:00 am, but an attendent was able to have the doors unlocked. Thank you! Then we sat on one of the new 7000 series for 15 minutes... A lot of of work is still needed, perhaps just on the basic level? Planning and organization are lacking in many ways, and there should be some serious consideration into SERVICE, which will help raise revenue that may in fact pay for the long overdue maintenance that has been deferred for decades. The "Jumper Cables" seem to be a very basic repair, but continue to linger. Perhaps addressing some of the other related issues like system power distribution issues, amperage levels, systematically upgrade sections at a time so they may last another 40+ years? This is really LOW TECH stuff.
WOW...I loooooved it!!! I'm so grateful for transportations like this one. So organized and easy to understand. Everything was clean, neat, and on their place. Coming from Miami, for me these metro stations are an amazing place to be and you are so lucky to be able to commute to places at an affordable price....I might be a little bit emotional but I felt so safe and happy traveling in these metros. They clean the metros every night disinfecting for all of our safety. They have a contactless way to enter, you can have your ticket on the app, or simply get your card and scan it. The air is filtered every five minutes and you MUST wear mask at all the times. For that and more I felts safe here! THANK YOU!!!
Garbage-tier station. The train arrival time sign froze, so it has been incorrectly labeling trains for over an hour. Made me get on the wrong train and completely messed up my night. The attendants won't turn the sign off though, allowing other paying customers to be misled onto the wrong trains. There's also people screaming profanities and physically fighting each other on the platform, literally swinging wet floor signs at each other, and the metro attendants aren't doing anything to break up the fight. I don't feel safe at all.
On January 12 2015, I found in life threatening accident, I was on Yellow line heading towards Huntington Station when train stopped moving in the tunnel When the EMS Team finally arrived I was Glad to see them once out train on off the platform out side at eaten area. They loaded us on Metro Bus. At first I thought, they lose their mind but once I sat down, had set bus to administrator Oxgon to all of us. Have the thumbs up to EMS because there were some many people requiring medical attention at L' Enfant Plaza.
I went on a Saturday, heading to Takoma/Langley area to do some shopping. I was surprise to see so many people on the platform. The wait was short for the train to Greenbelt. The station was clean but dark. I got a chance to ride on one of the 7000 series train. There are 8 cars and they accommodate wheelchairs better. I love the color coordination with the Silver and the map with the stops are very helpful. They also accommodate strollers and bikes. Happy riding!
This station serves the Virginia Railway Express commuter rail system. There are also a few Amtrak trains that stop here as part of a cross - honor agreement between Amtrak and VRE, but it's not a primary stop for Amtrak. The station itself is pretty bare bones. There are automatic ticket kiosks at the middle entrance, and space along the platform to stand while you wait for the train, but no other services.
Good metro service for people who commute every day to Washington DC. They keep it clean and safe for commuters. Good thing about metro card is we can refill automatic online. Sometimes we face problem when they turn off escalator in busy hours. Sometimes its take to get another metro other than that this location also have lots of restaurants to eat food. I commute every week in this location.
Convenient to getting in and around DC. The cost is not great, but fair. The Metro cars and stations look old, dirty, and uncared for. Half the conductors/operators speak clearly and are easily understood; the other half are unclear, mumble, and sound drunk. Note: Yellow line is not operational, but special Blue trains are covering for some Yellow stops.
First time in DC, and knew nothing about the metro system. I was there for the women's march on January 21st, and it was incredibly busy. I am so thankful to the staff who made themselves available to help in any way. They were calm, friendly, and professional. Very grateful and very impressed with the level of service provided.
it's a typical underground Metro station w/ transfer. it's usually cleaner than Gallery Pl and i don't feel unsafe at night here «unlike Gallery». just make sure you catch the right train going south «there's a sign at the end of the platform letting you know» so you don't end up going to Huntington when you need Branch Av.
Tourists while the 7000 series trains are gone make it a bit crowded. Exceptionally mid station. No real reason to get out of the station, but if you do you'll realize that most metro stations are the same and taking metro is better than driving anywhere in the city. Take the train. What else is there to say??
Compared to the Smithsonian subway station, this one actually requires less walking to some Smithsonian museums (e.g., Hirshhorn, African Art, American Indian, and Air & Space Museums). So if you're headed to one of those museums, you should definitely consider making this your stop. Amenities are typical.
Traveling the metro is convenient, and easy to figure out. This will be a main hub as you visit DC as you can transfer to almost any line on the metro (not the red). There is also an escalator that will take you to L'Enfant Plaza, where you can also get a quick bite to eat at one of the many restaurants.
This station can be a bit confusing as to which direction you are facing. There are maps but not many identifiable objects to help identify direction. There needs to be some signs for which direction your facing or arrows with labels identifying the next stop on each rail.
The L'Enfant Plaza Metro is a good place to transfer and a nice, slightly quieter stop for tourists moving along the Mall. It's usually very clean and it's situated in a nice part of town. It can get pretty empty late at night, so exercise some care when traveling later.
I sometimes use it as my transfer point to the Largo Bue Line train. It is confusing exiting the station at 7th & Maryland Avenue, SW only to find out I'm on 6th & D Street, SW. I was actually 2 blocked over from where my ride was & I had to redirect him.
It's the DC Metro. If you've experienced any other city's subways or metro you're already well aware it's the worst. If you haven't, well be prepared for missed connections and long wait times. Oh also don't expect for it to take you anywhere convenient.
One of the largest - if not THE largest metro stations in DC. Virtually all lines intersect here. Accordingly, the station is huge - Has multiple levels. There are helpful sign boards. However, one must read them carefully to know where one
Super endroit pour manger et faire du shopping. A proximité du centre ville avec plusieurs lignes de Métro (4ou5) qui dessert cette station. Le nom "L'enfant" était celui de l'architecte franco-américain qui a conçu les …
Trains were on time. Rail cars were not all upgraded, so be sure to listen for your stops. Multiple stops, so you don't have to wait very long for the next one. Great hub that connects all of the lines.
This station is actually closer to the air and space museum than smithsonian station. Once I had yo walk far because I got of at smithsonain station but then I saw L Enfant plaza.
Well-located station. Some directional signage on lower platforms could be clearer. Generally in good repair with typical brutalist architecture making up the system.
High prices and piss poor service. The metro can always find new and exciting ways to make you late. Leave an hour early if it's something important.
They could take a lesson from their European and Scandinavia peers. Those system's run so much better and are so much cleaner...get some hints metro!
I have a real soft spot for the monumental style of the underground Metro stations. And L'Enfant is a well laid out station, easy for transfers.
Google Maps has inaccurate information about where the enterences are for this station. To get to the Air and Space museum, exit Northwest.
Convenient downtown. FYI - two flights of stairs to access platform from east side of 7th Street. Handicap ramp on west side of street.
Between the dysfunctional 7K rail cars and the lack of security, Metro has failed in everything. Drive into the city it's much safer.
To those not familiar with the area, the three exits can be confusing, but this hub connects five subway lines.
Got lost one time because I had no idea where I was when I left out of one of the Entrance before..
It is so confusing at L'Enfant Plaza. I've gotten lost here plenty of times, to get to an exit.
Good metro service!! Station was really large! Staff were friendly, excellent location!
I know people complain about the Metro but I think it's great and use it all the time.
Metro people and service are great. Uber and Lyft should pay a tax to support Metro!
Metro station on the green, blue, silver, orange lines of the WMATA metro system.
Great place to visit with family and friends in the little part of Washington DC
Same as any other station. Plenty of panhandlers. WMATA is still terrible.
Wonderful location site seeing and transportation all in one great job
During the stop at the metro station, the elevator was out of service
Green, blue, yellow, orange lines. Go to just about anywhere.
Was surprised to see how clean it was. Pavilion is nice too.
One of the central hubs in DC. trains usually run on time.
Great place! Love the food trucks, lots to choose from.
Traffic fluide . De beau bâtiment moderne et historique
Are there any elevators at le'fant plaza metro station
Huge station, hard to believe it's so far underground
Great metro for the US, poor by east coast standards.
Busy place but easy to navigate. Use the Metro App!
First time seeing this station with less commuters.
A very busy transfer stop on the metro train line.
Very Nice Metro Station and Well Maintained …
Nice Place to visit. Lots of Government History.
A subway station with a comfortable temperature
Dient dem Zweck. Übersichtlichkeit ist mässig.
It's always cute when I go 2 L'Enfant hehe
Agradable entorno. Amplia bien iluminada.
Very clean, very safe and reliable...
