I am a former employee! Love shopping here! And loved working at this location, staff was amazingly friendly except for one major flaw. Carol. The woman that manages this particular location was awful. I had a family member die and when I notified her of the funeral date saying I would not be able to come in to work. She said “find someone to cover or else...” I spoke to a second manager (Cheryl) who was very sweet and kind telling me “not to worry about it”. This was the first of many red flags when it came to Carol. So many employees avoid her like the plague and everyone is afraid to call HR over it. They sum it up to she’s having a “bad day” and leave it alone. When management found out I was expecting my son they were very accepting and kind at first. I had doctors notes for certain things later on in the pregnancy like not being able to climb ladders, allowing me to have juice in a water bottle instead of water and a chair behind the counter (due to high blood pressure problems). Carol was very upset by this and pulled me into her office. She Denied me having a chair. Was annoyed but allowed the juice. And said “if we knew about you not being able to use ladders we wouldn’t have hired you...” Keep in mind these doctors notes were only because I had blood pressure problems while being pregnant. After this she cut my hours to 1-2 short shifts a week until I was forced into leaving because I couldn’t afford daycare for my oldest son. I know for a fact that two other managers if not more had problems with the store manager Carol. I would have LOVED to go back after my second son was born! It was a job that I was actually happy to go to everyday but due to ONE person I won’t go back.. I did contact HR about all of these problems and nothing was done.

08/16/2023 while picking up an order of photos from the Southgate LD I was harassed by an employee. On my way to the photo lab I picked up some soap, deodorant and cookies, waiting to pick up the photos your staff David S. was helping another customer form BC with a passport photo for their security ID, which led them onto a hateful conversation of the homeless in Edmonton. Another staff rang through my purchase while David watched, after paying for my items I saw him staring at me, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and checked the food processor section for sales, he then followed me through the store before accusing me of theft at the front of the store in front of other customers and your staff. I gave him my receipt and the items from my bag, demanded that he count exactly what he saw me pay for. The bigot tried to offer an empty apology with a disgusting look on his face before cowardly deserting the situation and with no staff speaking up I left the building. As an indigenous man I am disgusted by this "man" name of David S. and how this business condones such hate crimes on their paying customers by keeping such a racist employed. You'd fire staff for internal theft, consider cutting off customers the same if you need anything to help make a correct business decision since you can't make a moral one and it truly shows your standards of operation. Be ashamed and I hope your business fails. (the best part is since I was picking up photos, they had my information down to my name and number)

Over the last year I have transitioned from getting almost all household supplies and personal care items like shampoo, toothpaste etc from London Drugs to Amazon. Its always either the same price or less but the reason I have done it is convenience. Occasionally I still go to this london drugs for rush items, advil, cough syrup etc. The last time around lunch hour NO cashiers were open with the exception of Customer service which were also processing refunds. After waiting 10 minutes in line, I put down my intended purchase and walked out. I went again yesterday to pick up something quickly and guess what....all cashiers closed except for customer service. This is around lunch and one of their busier times. Only took 5 minutes of standing in line to realize, I am never going to go to London Drugs again. THese retailers need to get on board with the concept of customer service. If it is not the retailers policy to maintain a skeleton staff and expect customers to tolerate waiting forever to give them money, then it is a local thing and this store NEEDS new management and fast. If they cant have adequate staff then more customers will continue to purchase on line and by-pass them completely. 5 years from now, our retail landscape with look much different if retailers don't change and it appears that this London Drugs is leading the race.....to the bottom

I love LD and this was my first time in the new 51 Ave location. Gorgeous, but unfortunate that my experience was so disappointing. I was indecisive between two similar cosmetic products (same brand) and ended up doing a couple purchase/exchange transactions over 11/30 & 12/1 (different location). The brand had a 20% sale, which apparently ended on the 30th. I hadn’t realized (till now 12/4) that my last exchange left me paying the regular price, vs. my original sale price. I explained the situation to the (who I believed to be) Store Manager & asked if a price adjustment could be made to reflect my original price. I was told no, & that since the brand was going to have another 20% sale in two weeks, to just come back then, as easier for everybody. I noted that certainly discretion could be used to refund the ($4) difference today? I was told yes, but then I’d be telling everybody that I was able to manipulate pricing (because people talk). What? I can appreciate policy, but to boot, for LD to know that in two weeks the price could be matched anyway, yet still not resolve the issue today, left me completely baffled. I left & will go back (different location) in two weeks for the price adjustment. I will not be returning to the 51 Ave location again. UPDATE: 12/5 Thank you Roy (Store Manager) for the quick and fulsome resolve to the above!

Today I was at this location to return my phone and take advantage of the bonus $20.00 gc. It was a nightmare for me will not be returning to any London Drugs Store in the near future. I asked the manager - Harish who helped me return to phone for 5 - $100.00 gc which he kept aside for me right next to the cash register. another staff came and helped another customer who wanted to get the gc to buy his stuff and this lady just picks up the gc that was kept aside for me and gives it to the other customer. I told the lady that those were my gc but the manager Harish tells her its ok to take as he has more. Now I can clearly see that there is NO MORE gc for me so now comes the Store manager who rudely tells me that there is nothing that she can do so basically and that's that. I leave the store. Two hours later I get another call from the Electronics Dept Manager Harish who leaves me a message saying that they received more cards and he has kept some for me. I go back to the store to get the gift cards and guess what they have SCREWED IT AGAIN instead of the 6 cards now they have only 4 when they received 70 cards. No apologies nothing, of course as I took 20 minutes to drive to the store to pick up I am livid. I walk out.

I went in with my mom today to buy a couple beauty products. The minute we walked into the store, there was an employee that was staring us down, which made me feel very uncomfortable as she didn't even stop until we passed by her. I passed it off as her maybe making sure that everyone had their masks on. However when we went to go check out the items that we got, she was working at the cash register, and here I felt very mistreated as a customer. While greeting the customer in front of us, this employee was very friendly, making conversation etc. When it came our turn, she did not say a single word except what kind of payment we were doing. I can't help but feel discriminated due to being asian, as the customer that she had helped prior was white, and this employee was white as well. The difference in treatment left me feeling very upset so I called the manager, who with a very monotone voice, did not seem to care that I was upset over the incident and seemed even moreso irritated that I called over this matter. I have never been treated like this as a customer and this is even more upsetting as it does feel like we were treated this way because of our skin colour.

Happened today... very sad experience.. This place is not very friendly!!! I was very shocked when this lady cashier given me and my little kids a very mean and unhappy look the whole time we were about to pay. My one of my kids has been having difficulty and was having a meltdown. he was crying the whole time. We were in the store for less than 5 mins, I happen to be in the area and needed to get one thing. This lady never asked how are we, never said thank you for shopping to their store. She can’t figure out right away how to give me gift receipt and didn’t even explain what she was trying to do. Instead, I was rewarded of feeling ashamed carrying My kids in their store. Was it her first time to hear a kid having tantrum? No compassion and concern to your customer!!!! Not only that, this same lady cashier was talking rudely to an older customer outside before as we are getting in to the store. I didn’t pay attention to that hint! First impression indeed last...

Why among all the LD stores-only this store has the worst customer service? Based on recent visits- 1. After you enter this store, the staff around the entrance makes an eye contact but don’t care to even say hi or a simple hello. Usually there is a female ave she needs a lot of improvement in her attitude towards customer service. 2. There is matured aged man walking around the store often and I feel bad for him as he always gives a rude and a harsh look. Products are usually similar as to other LD stores which is a reason I go to this store. I would recommend this store to anyone who considers to expect the very basic customer service. Staff needs serious improvement. Weird thing is - I a frequent shopper at LD stores and why only this store I find worst in their service. If the store owner or management is interested I am ok to provide more specifics if needed. Thank you

The store was open until 10, and I got there at 9:02 and spoke to the person working in cameras/passport photos. There was no one else around and he wasn't busy. I asked if I could have my passport photo taken, and he said that they don't do it after 9:00. When I politely asked why, he said it was "just a policy". That's ridiculous, if the store is open until 10 and there's no one else around, I see no reason why I couldn't have gotten my picture taken (which takes under 2 minutes). Instead, now I have to go back tomorrow, which is going to take much more of my time. I don't get it, if the store is open, why is this a problem? I called another London Drugs and they said the same thing. If this is a franchise-wide policy, perhaps you should advertise "Open until 10. Photo center closes at 9". Not very impressed.

Today I visited this shop to buy perfume and cosmetics. The woman who works in that section is Chinese or something similar, her name starts with E..., she is very rude and rudely aggressive. Whatever I touched to look at, she always had something unkind to say to me and blamed me for trying the tester on my hand and not on paper. What should she be interested in and why is it bad to try it on your own skin and not on paper, when I will certainly try the tester. Perfume smells different on the skin and different on paper. In the end, I told her that she was very rude and to get away from me, because I didn't come to the store to steal, but to buy what I needed with my money. Extremely rude woman and I will never, ever visit this store again solely because of such sellers, such as that illiterate woman.

Went looking for the prepaid moto e cell phone in the flyer for $50 then the guy tried to say that it was a misprint I have to take it up with corporate they only had an iPhone 6 for something like several hundred dollars unless I want to sign a contract. I said ok I'll come back with the flyer and talk with your manager then. So I get back with the flyer and all the sudden he changed his tone and has a flyer which he said he didn't have at first and says oh yes we have one of those phones in stock. then he writes all over my receipt after printing it out with the phones info all over it. I got the phone I want it however hassle I did not want and some marked up receipt...very unprofessional like a used car salesman.

It was amazing experience i had at this location. I was looking for a good quality compression stocking and then one of the asst. pharmacist name vicky recommend me to try the london drugs compression . And then everyone is very helpful and accomodating especially Lindsay and Linda. They help me to decide which one is better and good fit with my legs. And i must say after using the compression stocking i am very satisfied. The quality of compresion stocking they gave it to me is worth it, the fitting is perfect and the quality if highly recommended. I will definetly get more stockings with you guys. And i will recommend this to my friends for sure.

I am so happy with London Drugs. Today their customer service went above and beyond. I had bought a blender 2 weeks earlier and was convinced that this would be the be all and end all. As such, I threw away the packaging. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the blender. I had my receipt, but wasn’t sure what LD could even do about this situation. After speaking with a manager, he allowed the exchange. I wasn’t sure what to expect but this made me so happy. I marched back in and bought another appliance and many other miscellaneous items. I will always return to this London Drugs because I can see they really care about their customers.

My review is specifically for there photo department. There program for printing off pictures is the most easy and efficient one iv ever used. When you select a picture in a serton dimension that doesn't match the photo you can move the crop on the picture so it cuts off the part you want :) and also very affordable.i only needed to ask 1 question and it was what dimension an average picture would be lol. And the staff was great ! For being quick to see me and help me out. So if you are wanting to get some of your pictures printed off. This is the place to go ! You can get so so maybe options of sizes so it worked for everything.

I've ordered online and at the time of order the item was in stock ("only 2 left"). Payment came through successfully, I received the order confirmation. Next day I picked it up only to find out later that it was not what I've ordered and what was reflected in the invoice. I called them and was told that the item that I actually ordered is not in stock anymore, "but you can return the one that you don't like..." Total lack of any responsibility and waste of customer's time. This location is out of my shopping list: you simply don't know how will they fulfill your order, without even letting you know about the substitute.

Very bad experience. I wanted to take a digital photograph. I contacted the respective department and the lady told me that for digital photo the price is around $4 and for hard copy its around $16. When I visited there the department manager refused to gave me digital photo and urged me to take hard copy , since I had no option as I was running out of time. I took it as it cost me $19. Can you believe 15$ extra just to satisfy their ego. Such a bad professionalism shown by london drugs. Whatever the situation be will never shop from london drugs. Such an unprofessional store. very bad store

I have always recommend London drugs as their quality it's like no other place. I went today to get a new phone as mine wasn't working properly. A young woman and an older gentleman offered to help me. Explained to both of them the problem with my phone. The gentleman went looking for a phone that will be compatible with mine as I wanted to transfer the SIM card from mine. And the young lady went on the computer to try to fix mine. She was able to fix my phone at no charge. Amazing Incredible Unbelievable SERVICE. IF I COULD GIVE THEM 5000 STARS WILL GIVE TO THEM AS WELL DESERVE. THANK YOU THANK YOU.

I was at this location on December 29, 2022 in the evening & received the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a while at the electronics section. I asked a young Asian man for assistance and questions about a computer chair I wanted to purchase, he told me he would find out and come right back, and left me standing there. I stood there for 10 minutes and went back to see that he was back behind the till helping another customer! When he saw me he said someone else would help me and I had to wait in line again. Unbelievably unprofessional and rude, and I certainly won’t buy from here again.

Went here today in early afternoon to take photos for citizenship application. The guy there tried couple of times and repeatedly told me that the photo "doesn't meet biographical requirement" (or sth to that effect). When I asked him what it meant, he said he didn't know either, and that the machine showed him this. He then commented that this was the case for the whole morning and nobody in the store could solve it. I was quite annoyed by the waste of time. Always had a good impression on the brand but this store really needs improvement on customer service and general attitude.

Do not go to this store to take pictures of small children. The whole time the photographer has no communication with the child, like a machine, not even say “look at my finger”. Knowing that the child can not hold on for a long time, shoot half way and went to talk to others. I felt all the time that the man just wanted us to leave no matter whether it is taken successfully or not. Shot for half an hour, none of them can be used. Blamed that our kid should be more cooperative. After leaving this place, I got it done MacBain downstair in 3 minutes.

Had to get passport photos taken for my 2 year old. This was our fourth attempt and we decided to try this London drugs location. We were finally successful thanks to Duane. Very patient and creative with taking the photo (my son kept bursting in to tears every time someone went infront of him with a camera). Duane brought over a display rack to hide behind and snap a photo. This method seemed to work because we left with some photos to take to the passport office. This was stressful for us. Duane handled it very well so thank you very much!

After being on hold for 40 minutes to inquire about an order I had placed with the photo lab I ended up driving to the store while still on hold. Expecting it to be busy I walked into a very empty store and not one employee busy on the phone. They should also be more transparent about where the items are printed. If I had known that the items were printed in the south edmonton common location I would have my items 2 days earlier. Now I am stuck waiting for it to be shipped from a store 10 min away and going on 3 days late.

They usually have a variety of sales at the same time, and all the different departments make it very interesting to shop or just look around. In one visit I can buy some snacks, a new kitchen appliance, and get my computer looked at. The staff is generally very friendly as well, and very patient. I especially like one of the male cashiers, because he always seems to treat people well and has a smile on his face that doesn't look forced. It's open until 10pm too, which makes it very convenient.

This is my most Favorite drugstore of all. The employees from the Manager to the Stock Clerks, actually the entire staff are friendly and courteous!! The prices are very competitive and the hours are great.There is an excellent variety of goods for sale and something for every budget. I usually will deal with London Drugs, and usually this location, but I have been trying to call them, and they just do not answer the phone. I have waited on the phone, and I have also "requested a call back without losing your place in the queue", and I still cannot talk to anybody. I am having issues with an HP product I bought from them, which I realize is not their issue, but I dont think waiting an hour + to talk to someone on the phone, is reasonable.

Great store and frequent sales on many items. I buy online from here too. I would like to offer a suggestion - when London Drugs asks purchasers to review items bought online, an incentive (bonus LD points!) should be offered. Many other businesses do this and it does take time to write honest reviews, each with a photo or two. So people should be rewarded for doing this, especially since their reviews will influence many others to purchase as well.

Photolab and tech crew is very kind and very patient. Made sure I was getting prompt service as well as they could. Michelle especially is awesome, brought in a film cannister i messed up and rewound all the way and despite being quite the tough feat as some of the film crimped on itself, she did not give up and got the end retrieved for me free of charge! Seems like a very patient and trustworthy team overall in that department.

Nice store. It’s clean and well lit. London Drug’s as it’s name implies is a store that has a pharmacy but there is so much more. There is computers, cameras, small appliances, personal items, make up and groceries and still more. Prices are reasonable. It’s seems claustrophobic a it as the aisles are somewhat narrow and shelves a high. Otherwise it a good store for a lot of things you might need at home for a reasonable price.

My second try in getting my toddler's passport photo taken, this time I tried this location and the staff were wonderful. Andrew gave us the time and space to get the little one comfortable. Duane was super patient behind the camera, waiting for the little one to look up from Youtube and snapping the picture. He also made sure he got one that would be approved by the passport office which is hugely appreciated!

We have been going to the pharmacy for decades. This review is about the pharmacy mainly. The pharmacy is excellent. I sometimes have to get changes done to my dad's blister packs and the staff have been very accommodating. In general staff are quick, kind and friendly. The pharmacists especially Mandy are exceptional in knowledge and customer service. Very dependable people and they deliver.

I was there at 15 after 10 on a sunday and was rudely told by staff that they were not ready, and to come back later. so i went to Walmart for my perceptions. I do not think ill return to this location, i do not like being treated with disrespect. If you are running late and need more time to set up just say so, do not yell at me to come back.

The customer service is really good, except for this blond woman with glasses who every time I go is following me through the store until she sees I'm buying something and it's extremely annoying. Machine for making coffee Braun - on the price tag $ 60 cost. Real price is more then 130$ The consultants said they didn't care that they messed up the price. There was 2 box with this product for the price tag I took the time to come back to the store for a purchase, but the price was false. You can not trust the prices in this store.

The staff at the London Drugs Photolab at Southgate mall are amazing! They’ve come through for me multiple times when I’ve needed photo gifts/pictures quick. And the quality of the items are good too! Very happy with the service and products here and would recommend going here to anyone.

Excellent location with very knowledgeable staff in the photo lab and technology centre. Also carries the most fun healthy snacks in the area - beating out the Italian Centre for pre-packaged snacks. Everything around here has reduced hours. Would be nice if they could be open later.

it used to be one of favourite stores 3 years ago because of the friendly staff and the convenient location. Now things change. A lot of staffs I knew are either retired or leave. Customer service is not existing anymore. I'm going to south common london drugs instead of here.

Pretty good store. Lots of items and the shelves are fully stocked. The checkout was quick and the service was good. I am happy with the quality of the photos from the service centre. The store is a little bit cluttered and feels dated, but still a great store nonetheless.

The only good thing about London drugs was that it was open until 10. And now they moved into Southgate and close at 9. So now they are garbage.
