The guys at Lucas automotive are amazing! I have been taking my car here for 5 years and have always had a great experience with the team at Lucas and the quality of the work they do. I recently had to have some major transmission work done on my 2000 Toyota, which is difficult for me since I really need my car to get to work. Lucas was very accommodating to have me drop off my car at a time that worked for me, and within the same day they had quotes on labor and parts, and even provided alternatives for how best to fix my transmission based on my needs and budget. It ended up being a complete transmissions swap, and they had it ready and back on the road for me within 2 days, and it has been working flawlessly since. What separates Lucas is their attention to detail and service. I appreciated that while they were working on the car they took the time and care to actually look at different areas of the vehicle, make sure all my fluids were topped, air in the tires, no engine light was on, etc… I have been to other mechanics, including the Toyota dealership, just to get the engine light as soon as I started the car, and have to wait several hours to have it looked at again. This has never happened at Lucas because they are thorough in their service! Since my car is 15 years old, safety over older components is really important, and they were able to look at my break lines, suspension, wheels and tires, and give me options to choose from to make sure I get the safest, but also most cost effective repairs. All work they have done on my vehicle, from simple to complex, has been of the highest quality, and I have never had to go back to repair the same thing twice! I have a strong understanding of cars, and Lucas has never tried to sell me on something that I know I do not need either, which has happened at other mechanics I have been to in the past. The service is exceptional. I have had to drop my car off on short notice, and they will always make time for my vehicle because they understand how much I rely on it to get to work. They will go out of their way to make sure they get my car to me when I need it, even keeping the shop open after hours so I can pick up my car after work! They truly go the extra step to ensure that anytime I need to visit it is the most convenient for me it can possibly be. I am happy with all the years I have been going to Lucas and they are the most trusted, thorough and honest mechanics in town!

I made the mistake of putting diesel in my gas tank and was in a bind, I had to have my car towed to a garage and Lucas Automotive Services was one of the closest garages and had agreed to take my car in immediately. I was a bit nervous in going to this garage as I have never been before and did not want to be ripped off or over charged, but I had no choice due to my situation. Lucas Automotive gave me an estimate and told me they would call if there were other issues, they completed the job and was told my car was ready, when they gave me the amount owing I was so surprised and happy at how reasonable their price was. When I went to pick up the car and I spoke with Greg who was an absolute pleasure; Greg was so friendly, polite, professional and truly treated me like someone who was a regular at Lucas Automotive Services (beautiful eyes Greg). In fact I watched him treat every client the same and with respect. George was the amazing mechanic who worked on my car and he did such a fabulous job, thank you George!! The individuals who work here are honest and trustworthy, I can see why they have a great client base and returning clients. I'm an entertainer and need reliable vehicles: * I kept getting referred by people in my legion up to about 25 now including my manager go their. * That could get me their the first time. The rest was up to him. Let me list just a few reasons I stayed. Why I'm still their 23 years later: * When I first met Greg I was also working as a salesman for a dealership. Even though I worked for them they red tagged my air conditioner saying I needed an expensive repair. I was at Lucas getting a small repair and he saw the red tag and asked me about it checked it out. Tightened something filled up the liquid for it and it was fine for 2 years. No charge. Could have charged a lot! * My wife went to a Canadian Tire years ago for her sports car. They said its in real bad shape I wouldn't drive it off the lot they said. Repair was quoted for around $2,500. She said I want a 2nd . opinion. Turned out to be a $30.00 part. * Several times over the years Greg has even done small things for us no charge. Greg and his team are not only excellent mechanics but very honest! Hard to find these days for anything you get repaired. * Lucas doesn't need my business or yours. He won't do work that doesn't need done. He knows you'll stay their and be loyal because he treats his customers like one of his family fair & honest * That's why my family and 3 grown up kids along with many of my friends all go their. * You go their once and you'll stay.

I can only give 5 stars? I had my winter tires changed to summer @ the dealership I bought my car from. Immediately after getting on the highway my steering wheel was shaking badly. Long story short, the dealership tried charging me $120+ tax for a wheel aliment. I left the dealership & googled " wheel aliment scarb " The first place that showed was Lucas Auto, I read all the great reviews & decided to give them a try & I am SO happy I did. I was late for my appointment however, the guys accommodated me anyways, it was a great experience from the time I walked in the front door. VERY friendly guys & the best part is you can tell they actually care for their customers & its not just about making a dollar, I listened to how they interacted with the customers & it was clear they are very genuine guys. Turns out I didn't even need a wheel aliment, the tech looked over my car & found the actual issue. The spacers weren't removed off my winter tires from the dealership. Quick fix for Lucas's but made a HUGE difference for me ! Thank you to Lucas Auto, I've found my mechanic shop for any work I will ever need done on my car. HIGHLY recommend these guys !

A good friend introduced me to Lucas Automotive when I immigrated to Canada 22 years ago, that is how long I have known Greg and his team. Lots could be said about them, like how professional and detailed a work they do, and how I could not entrust my cars into better hands. But what stands out the most, is that Greg has shown over the years undisputable integrity. This is worth gold, a car mechanic who knows what he does and is honest. Many times he could have taken advantage of my ignorance when it comes to cars and he did not. My latest experience, is when he spent hours and hours on my car to eventually find out the source of the problem could have been fixed within a couple hours only: I was ready to pay a heavy bill and he would have gotten away with it, no questions asked; but he took the loss on him and only charged me the couple hours - cannot get more honest than that! I do not normally write reviews, but if you look for a good place to take well care of your car and treat you honestly, go and see Greg! And in the meantime, stay at home and be safe.

I was in the city from out of town when I heard a loud bang. I had my suspicion but wasn't sure. I managed to drive my car to my previous mechanic whom I used to go to while I stayed in the city. He couldn't help and I was getting really worried because I had appointments to get to and also driving my car back home was not an option. As I left my mechanic's shop, I saw Lucas Automotive. Keep in mind I've driven and walked past this place for years. I popped in and I never regretted doing so. From my initial contact, they were very professional, kind, polite and helpful. Even though they were busy, they took my car in and changed my shock mount. I was out in under an hour. It wasn't expensive either which was an added bonus. I no longer live in the city but I would absolutely stop here from now on if I am and needed something fixed. Thank you for getting me to my appointments and making it home safely.

I had my 2005 Hyundai Tucson towed from the DVP after my engine died to Lucas Automotive Services. My sister and brother-in-law recommended I take it here, as they have been going to them for 17 years and trust them. They are family-oriented, loyal, honest, and professional. Unfortunately, after inspecting my car, it was beyond repair (the timing belt went and would more than the car was worth). They were wonderful with me, given the unfortunate circumstances and didn't charge me a cent. I left the car there and they personally drove me to a car rental company and sent me a referral to a dealership in which I purchased a well-priced 2016 Hyundai Accent. Thank you so much Greg and George for all of your help through this difficult situation. Your kindness did not go unnoticed, as I will now be bringing my car to you in the future.

I have had my car serviced by most of the mechanics in the rouge and I have settled with George and Greg from Lucas Automotive for a number of reasons. First off the service is second to none, they always have a solution for any problem and the work is done promptly. About two years ago I came to George to fix a major problem on my car and although the car was past the warranty, he mentioned for me to take it to BMW to see if they would cover it. I did just that, and after a few back and forths with the service department they agreed to fix it. The total cost savings to me was around $5,000. George could have easily taken my money but he was honest and upfront with me when he didn’t have to. I won’t take my car anywhere else! Oh yes, it’s a family run business and they truly care about their customers!

, truly a great experience! , I used to take my work vehicle there occasionally, but had not stayed on top of the vehicle maintenances as of recent but recently my 2014 F150 pickup had an issue , moments before breakdown , at which i called a few repair shops and a Ford dealership repair depot but could not even get a proper time frame to bring in the vehicle even for diagnosis ! , I was able to drive it slowly to Lucas Automotive shop ,; at which point , George & Greg and the repair staff , were completely professional, and courteous, , they pinpointed issue within minutes , had parts replaced & I was on the road within less than hour , , I would take my truck to , any other automobile repair shop including Ford to get any sevice , if I can schedule it to be at Lucas

I have used Lucas 3 times now, once for a clutch replacement, once for a wheel bearing and ball joint replacement and alignment, and once after a small accident, which just turned out to be cosmetic so they gave me a referral to a body shop. I have always found Greg to be friendly and honest, and their work to be top notch. Pricing seems fair, and although they are usually busy, they still get the work done quickly in my experience. I have found my go-to mechanics in this area, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend or neighbor. UPDATE 6 years later and Lucas has been the only place we take our cars. Greg, George, and the rest of the staff have treated us like family and I have never once left feeling overcharged, underserved, or otherwise disappointed.

I've been coming to Lucas for 3 years now and here's what I can say: I shouldn't have waited this long to give Greg Lucas the credit he deserves. He along his team of technicians are top-notch. The fact that they diagnose the problem correctly the first time while tremendously important, became secondary to me. Why? The client relationship management he's maintained with my family and I is paramount. He accomodates my busy schedule often last minute, never turning me away, shuttling me home, my wife to work, providing a courtesy car, all without charging what the robber dealers do. Stopped by Lucas Automotive today to see what was wrong with my window (it was stuck and wouldn’t go up) and the service was outstanding! Everyone was professional, polite and knowledgeable. After looking at my car they told me I need a new window regulator, gave me a very reasonable price and told me they could have it done within an hour. After 40 minutes my car was finished and the window works like a charm! They also went above and beyond by informing me of why my check engine light is on and after a short conversation I was provided with a great quote and I will definitely be retuning to get that fix. Overall they are amazing and I would recommend them to everyone!

Been going to Lucas Automotive for a couple of times for my Rav4's oil change. I went last week for a battery change and Greg had one of his guys(Tim) come and do a check on my battery. Sure enough it was on its last leg and needed a new one. They got to check my alternator, and unfortunately, was bad too and needed a new one. What made my situation interesting was that, I was going away for the long weekend and really needed my car. Greg went out of his way to call the suppliers and had one of his guys pick up the part early in the morning so that they can fix my car. That's above and beyond! Kudos to these guys! I am very happy with the service I received. After discovering I had a coolant leak, I called Lucas Automotive as referred for a mechanic by a friend. They were able to fit me into their schedule since it was their busy season with winter approaching and finish the repairs in a timely manner. They updated me through the entire process and quoted the parts fairly. The work has since left my car running smoothly without any more coolant smells or issues. The cost was completely reasonable as compared to going to a dealership with no extra charges being made to my bill. The staff were very nice to deal with and appreciated my service as I was a new customer.

Two cars, countless nails in my tires and oil changes, A/C repair, brakes, electrical problems, etc. Every visit, the staff are professional & friendly. George has never given me a hard time about being late for appointments, or even the two times I missed them, because I'm working overtime, and can't get my butt out of bed. I really needed help installing a rear dash camera and my car had proven to be particularly difficult. Lucas Automotive did an outstanding job. Way better then I could have imagined. Not only were they able to install it so it didn't look obvious, but the cable management was immaculate, and they had even fixed my front camera wiring to match. I have been a returning customer for nearly 10 years and I'm glad to see their customer service has been consistently great. I heavily trust the work they do and always recommend them to Friends and Family. It only takes one visit to see why everyone keeps going back.

Honestly, these guys are great. They will tell you with complete honesty what work you need done on your vehicle along with other issues without forcing any services. I've had my car worked on here twice and on both occasions they were completely professional and informed me what work I actually needed done for safety reasons, and other issues that I would need to deal with in the future that are not a problem currently. Five stars? I can only give five stars? That doesn't do justice to Lucas Auto. They have been taking care of my family's minivan since 2010 when we moved back to Canada. In fact, since then, I have recommended Lucas to everyone I know and they are all now customers. Integrity and honesty are the two words that jump to mind, but equally clarity of explanation, quality of service and fast, on time work. I will only trust my family's safety (not to mention auto budget) to Lucas. They go above and beyond to make sure that customers are safe and mobile. No compromise, no surprises. I was recently looking for a good mechanic in the town when i found this place on Google.Because they have a decent review so I brought my fiesta for checking my front brakes, rotors and replaced them. Very professional and nice people . Good tea and coffee they offer in the rest area. If you are looking for skilled mechanics and fair pricing within a family environment that will not only anticipate your needs but only do what work is necessary then you've found the place! all are very happy with their service as am I. I had brought my 1992 Lexus SC400 to two other shops, one who had it for 14 days and gave it back to me claiming it was repaired, only to have it die in the middle of driving. Last ditch effort brought it here, and wow, what a difference in service. Everyone at Lucas is incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable. They kept up with me, giving me updates, gave me a great price and fixed my car when I thought it'd be dead forever. Definitely the best auto shop in the east end if not the city. Fantastic service, great price, great staff, great work. Would recommend them to anybody I know.

I really enjoyed my experience with this company. They are very professional and explained everything in detail. (I am not an expert on cars by any means, but I really appreciate when mechanics teach me a bit about what they've done.) They resolved all of my issues at a fair price and treated me with respect. They went out of their way to go above and beyond what I expected them to do. They warm your car up before you get in it. They remembered my name. They fixed little aesthetic things in my car. These little customer service bits I really appreciated. Highly recommended.

They installed an aftermarket all-aluminum rad (CSF) for my BMW x1 35i. Got tired of leaking plastic end tanks on the OEM radiator. I could've done it on my own but I live in a condo now and I'll get fined if I spill coolant anywhere or get seen jacking up my car, removing the intercooler, fan, rad hoses etc. Anyways, this shop was easy to deal with and the price was very affordable for the job. It was in and out. No fuss. Place is busy but shop is well maintained. I have recommended this shop to all my other friends who drive Audis/BMWs/and Mercs.

Found this auto shop because of their great reviews. I needed my front brake pads/rotors changed as recommended by my Mazda dealership. I haven't been happy with them, so I was searching for a local auto shop. The 2 guys in the front office were so friendly. While I was waiting for my car to be ready, many customers came in, and Lucas' staff seemed to know everyone on a first name basis. It kind of speaks to the great customer experience that Lucas Auto provides. Lucas Auto will definitely be my go-to spot for my car's needs. Thank you very much!

These guys fixed up my G35 recently after an accident where I broke my lower control arm. One thing I like the most about them is that they're really quick with their services and always get the job done on time. They had my car done in less than 2 business days and kept me updated on the process as well. They're very easy to contact and are always available to serve you during their business hours. Even got me a discount on my the body work from my collision as well for two different shops they referred me to. Awesome work and reliable.

I apologize for writing this review now. I had work done by Lucas Automotive Services back in August 2022. I've been to many garages to fix a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) on my Toyota RAV4 Hybrid SE and Lucas Automotive was the only place that was able to figure out how to fix the problem. George took the lead on this and followed through on helping me get this fixed. For the last 10 months, I have enjoyed driving my car because of the great work they did. Thank you so much! I just recently had my first experience with Lucas Automotive. I was told to bring my car to them from another garage, which alone speaks volumes. I was lead to believe that my car needed major engine work . After 3 hours my car problem had been diagnosed, repaired and tested ,all for a very fair price. I was very impressed with their expertise and professionalism. The genuine care for their customers is apparent. I only wish that I had found Lucas Automotive earlier, but as of now they are " my car guys"

I phoned Lucas Automotive on Wednesday Feb. 14, 2018 in the morning to make a last minute appointment for a CAA Vehicle inspection. To my delight and surprise they were able to fit me in that same day. Yesterday I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee (Diesel) to Lucas Automotive with the Check Engine Light On. I was treated warmly & professionally by Matt, and George kept me abreast of the ongoing repair in a courteous and timely fashion. It was the first time in a while I was left with the impression these folks get it. George and his team treat their clientele the way they would want to be treated if they were the customer. Bravo! I would refer my friends and family to Lucas Automotive all day, every day.

This place is absolutely amazing. First experience was needing new shocks and struts for my car. Googled mech shops and found Lucas automotive. They explained everything to me, gave me options. they do an amazing job and it’s the kind of place where you can walk out knowing they fixed it properly and it will last. So much so I went back needing a new transmission and they did another fantastic job. I would recommend this place to anyone and I’ll be bringing my car and my wife’s car here from now on.

My dad recommended those guys a few years ago. I’ve now recommended you to a few friends. Hopefully they’ll visit! Went in for a maintenance check, windshield repair. Found out I needed a battery replaced. I am terrible with cad knowledge so I’m always worried of being taken advantage of. But I never get recommended more than I need. And if there are recommendations it’s is not a high pressure sales tactic. That’s the kind of business you want to do business with! We all work hard for our money!

I am a long time customer at Lucas. Over 10 years and Greg and his crew have always done right by me. They have earned my complete trust. Many years ago, I was taken for a fool by idiots at Canadian Tire and another time at a Midas. Never ever again. If it needs fixed, they'll take care of it. And every fix comes with a guarantee, which unfortunately for them, they've had to do but without charging me a dime. Definitely recommended for anyone within driving distance.

When I was looking for a reliable mechanic, my neighbours suggested that I try Lucas Automotive. (They had been taking their cars to Lucas for years.) I’ve had an extremely positive experience! My car is repaired in a timely and professional manner but what is obvious is the fact that it’s a family business. They stake their reputation on providing the best service and customer experience. There is even fresh coffee and wifi while you wait!

My car was making a small clinking noise from the front end, i showed it 2,3 different mechanics but they couldn’t find out what it was. I went to lucas automotive one day for an regular oil change. Without me telling them, they inspected the car and found out from where the noise was coming from. They informed me about the problem and the amount i need to get it fixed. Everything was so professional and i am very happy about their service.

It's nice to have a friendly place nearby that I can trust. I needed repairs done on my old truck that ended being much more difficult and lengthy than expected, and they stuck to the original quote! (Which I really appreciated!!) Sitting in the waiting room, I heard other customers coming in saying positive things which is always a good sign. I had seen other reviews by women saying they felt comfortable here and I'm glad I listened!

We had such a positive experience at Lucas. My mom and sister both go there to get their cars fixed and have always said wonderful things about them and everything is true. We went there a week ago after a bad experience with another garage. Lucas diagnosed the problem correctly and fixed it for a very reasonable price. I took my Toyota Matrix in for an exhaust leak after I had installed a new section myself. They were more than happy to help. They were helpful and their prices were very reasonable. They even took a second look at it when I wasn't sure if it was leaking or not. They also give restaurant suggestions! Great work and excellent customer service. Great customer service but basically thieves. I've gone to them several times for basic maintenance and oil changes and I thought we had a good rapport. But most recently I went for a more extensive repair and they over quoted me on a few different services by hundreds. This was confirmed by a couple of other quotes I received from alternate mechanics. Very disappointing, I've lost my trust with them.

Can't say enough good things about this shop and the team. My car broke down on the 401, was towed there, the issue was repaired on the spot, and they had me back on the road in no time. Check engine light came on while heading out to PEI for a family vacation. The owners are great people. Realizing the issue could shutdown my vacation plans, they got to work right away and found the source of the issue. I was out the door the same day and the camper van is running better than before. Top class!

These guys are amazing. Had my Land Rover Discovery 5 with Check Engine and Suspension (Suspension Fault - Normal Height Error) issues fixed easily and within an amazingly good budget. Their workshop is almost 100km from me but I will surely call on them when needed. Very friendly and helpful indeed.

I rarely left any reviews but they definitely worth a five star. I accidentally hit a pole and the back bumper kinda sticked out. The technician helped to click it back and also checked the tire pressure. And I was told everything was free! such an amazing garage
