I'm writing this review as a last resort, but since nobody is showing up it doesn't really matter how it will influence our 10 year relation (guarantee period). I will do my best to keep this short and honest. Let's see how I do. So we've picked the quote from M&S for a complete re-roof (inc gutters, fascias) with flat roof repair to stop it from dripping and soaking up the side wall. For the re-roof pretty straight-forward job, picked the tiles we like and it went quite smoothly. Flat roof was supposed to be done so it doesn't drip- any way they see fit. They have offered re-felting it, seemed reasonable, so that was agreed. Unfortunately, either by lack of experience or the quality of work, the roof is still dripping, in the same places, soaking up the wall. On top of that, the main roof gutter, where it joins with our n-bours gutter, has been leaking. And since it's at the joint, it makes a lovely waterfall onto my n-bours walls and windows. ALL the issues above have been fixed now. Below you can see all the updates and how long it took. In general the company is reliable, just a shame they are soooo busy, it's hard work to meet up with them. Ive attached a pic of before and after gutter correction. If google allows it I will keep this review in edit and up to date after each and every significant development of situation- both good and bad. If there's no progress I shall update every two weeks stating just that- no progress. UPDATE 1 28.02.22- Mr Simon has paid me a visit to discuss the repairs. Spaces between gutters will be filled to prevent leaking. Flat roof is a bit more of a complex problem, but shall be dealt with as well. As promised to keep it fair, one star up and I shall update on thursday 3.3.22. UPDATE 2 8.03.22- we are waiting for dry day. It was raining almost all previous week. Should be better in coming days. UPDATE 3 11.03.22 All issues have been tended to. It is a trustworthy company after all, just busy.

From the start of the works things didn't go well. The scaffolders turned up without notice and proceeded to break various paving stones and plant pots. The roofers also wouldn't give a schedule and turned up when they felt like it. The job that should have taken just over a week took nearly 5 weeks and it still isn't complete and they just fob you off when you try and get them to return. Sadly I fell for their sob stories and begging for the last payment and they promised to finish the works which of course they didn't (more fool me). Then I noticed large gaps in the stonework on the gable end enough for birds to nest in but they refused to put this right and I ended up doing it myself before the scaffolders removed the scaffold. They ragged off the fascias and soffits (I was in the kitchen when I heard the loud crash of the old fascias hitting the scaffolder and their men laughing) and put new on but left big gaps where it meets the walls and wouldn't silicone seal them or patch point which they should have. I also found they had used 2 inch screws to fix all the downpipe joints instead of using the correct pipe cement, this would have caused numerous blockages if I hadn't also corrected this myself!! To add insult to injury the scaffolders then broke my gates by stacking the scaffold tubes and boards on it and tried to deny it until I showed them the footage on cctv but refused to pay for it to be corrected. They left a huge amount of building material waste and debris which took myself and my missus 2 days to clear and £80 odd quid to dispose of. Also one of my neighbours saw one of the roofers urinating into my garden from the scaffold which is absolutely disgusting. I had to repeatedly chase them for the warranty which I think they were trying to worm out of. Think twice before using these cowboys.

From the initial assessment of my roof through to completion of the work M&S have been professional and friendly. They always arrived when they said they would and cleared up any mess at the end of each day. Simon clearly explained the options for the work and returned a very competitive quote quickly. Martin supervised the roof work every day (re-slating, two GRP flat roofs, new gutters and chimney re-pointing) and the quality of the work has been really excellent despite it not being straightforward. I am very happy to recommend them.

Recently had the roof of our 1930's semi replaced as well as the kitchen extension which also had a velux fitted.Although there were a couple of minor hiccups, they were dealt with effectively and we are delighted with the outcome. It was great to use a local company that has a jolly bunch of guys who all seem to share a commitment to a quality installation and customer satisfaction. I would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them

Great team who have done a grand job replacing roof and repositioning solar panels. Reasonable price compared to other quotes, very friendly, polite and hard working. At every stage of our re-roofing Simon was on hand to explain everything and when any problems arose he was instrumental in providing expect advice and even putting us in contact with other trades people that were required to move the project forward. The quality and professionalism of the work was second to none. We couldn’t be happier.

Recently called the team out for a repair but decided to get the roof replaceed instead. Once the tiles were removed it exposed the rotten wood. The guys replaced all the wood amd fully insulated the roof and replaced the tiles. Great bunch of lads. Will be calling them back in the summer to get the front done.
