I returned some clothes and they refunded the cost reduced, £9.5 less than the price we paid. Despite I expressed my thoughts that something probably is wrong, they said that everything is fine since the transaction becomes through the system. Comparing the receipts in home I realised that half of the prices refunded reduced. I had to come back in store again, with two babies, to show them the receipts and ask them to compare the prices, too. The manager was very polite, though. They accepted their fault, but I personally will never trust the store again. That was really disappointing and unfair.

So this store has pulled out of selling menswear! But they have the cheek to tell me where the other Matalan stores are. Why not just tell me to sod off and shop at River Island or Primark down the road? There are enough large empty units in Leeds to open up a store that will enable you to display and sell all your products. As usual men are second class customers and unimportant. I wonder how things would change if you stopped selling women's clothes?? Sick to the back teeth of poor retailers.

Nice to find a place that actually has jeans that fit me. However the sizing of the other clothes is all over the place. Some stock is labelled 12,14 etc but other S,M,L. I've found that they are not even correct to the label. Some medium tops are far bigger than the large. There is rarely a member of staff in sight on the shop floor. Having them work both the tills and shop floor at the same time is unfair and almost impossible for them to prevent shoplifting or actually serve customers.

Matalan in Leeds city centre has a good variety of cloths. This store has two floors where you can find not only men's, women's and kid's clothing but house hold products as well. The only downside is that it is self check out, which is on the lower floor. So if you do the shopping on the top floor you have to take it down to check out. And some of the staff are impolite. When asked about where to make the payment the answer from the girl I spoke to was only one word 'downstairs'.

Been on new store to me at corner of Commercial street. Very airy and bright, clothes presented very well. Noticed some of items only go up to size 16, maybe 18 not 20 at all. On line you can get most clothes on offer up to 20. So l missed out both on line and in store for tops l wanted to buy. However, l still like and will still shop at Matalan. Staff very friendly and helpful and that's what makes my shopping experience great. Liked the New store in Leeds City Centre very much.

This store does not offer any products for men and signpost you the online website. I ordered online and then visited the store for a return, Sharon was very rude and abrupt, not only to me but to other customers. A simple task of returning a suit and purchasing with a giftcard was too challenging and confusing for her. Matalan need to change their policy, so that if you pay cash and giftcard, and do a return, you get the cash back first and then the giftcard balance.

No signs on the entrance from The Core to say you have to collect orders downstairs, so stood waiting 10 mins there to be told to go downstairs. Staff are extremely slow and there's no urgency to them. It's a city centre store so people have places to be and pick up items on their lunch breaks. All on all took around 25 minutes to collect an order despite their only been 2 customers ahead of me.

Went in hoping to complete the mens suit I was putting together. They no longer sell mens suits and will soon no longer be selling mens clothes either. Reason I was given was due to men's clothing not making them any money and high rates of theft. They will only be selling womens and children's clothing from the next few weeks onwards. Quite poor for a city centre store to be honest.

I bought pack of 5 tractor t shirt and legging on last Sunday at store. The size i looking for ( t-shirt 9-12 and leggings 6-9) and that’s show on the hanger. I took everything off, through my recipe and wash them, saw all the size on the clothes was wrong t-shirt was 0-3 and legging 3-6 Spend 24 pounds for it then baby can’t wear it.

This was a fantastic store to go shopping at, where everything is laid out well in various areas! Navigating around was easy using the signs and I purchased a leopard plant on offer for just £3, buying it at one of the many tills. The lady who served me was friendly, adding to the atmosphere that the cleanliness contributed to!

Nice store great value for money but the till system is a joke. There is only one till to pay by cash which means if more than one person is paying by cash then there's a cue which could be helped if the staff were abit faster but so far no sign of that my advice is if your shopping here just use card and get out.

Hi I visited this store on 16/12/19 and I couldn't find a product I was looking for. I asked this young lady whom I believe was new called chanelle. She gave me excellent customer service. She was polite and friendly. She found what I was looking for and offered a additional service. She's a credit to this store

Felt unwelcome due to an unfriendly employee working at the till who openly expressed her annoyance due to bringing some items back even though we were buying more clothes as well as bringing items back and was rude and disrespectful from the moment we said 'hi' and ruined are entire experience.

Worst Matalan I’ve been to. I will NOT be returning it was like a jumble sale!!! However this wasn’t the worst part, the smell throughout the store was unbearable. Save yourself the trip and get yourself to m&s never been disappointed there!

Absolute rubbish, no changing rooms, no carrier bags and after shopping on the lower ground floor one has to go up to the second floor to pay. It's the first time we've been to this store and it'll be the last.

Frustrates me that the only way you can pay at a manned till is to pay with cash. Not everyone likes srlf service tills and there are staff loitering around when they could open a till and take card payments.

Very unfriendly store, staff glared at me as if I was a criminal! Plenty of women's clothes, menswear department is not very good. Will stick with the lovely friendly Kirkstall store thank you!

Although there were male mannequins in the window, on entering, I found out, they were not selling men’s clothes to my surprise and disappointment, well not in this particular Matalan store.

Gotta say very dissapointed I mean do men not wear clothes any more as the poxy little bit they have downstairs for "menswear" would suggest we dont would NOT reccomend

Terrible no staff at till area upstairs had to go to the far end of floor below. Got told abruptly if paying by card use self check out. Customer service nil points

No a great branch they have tried to pack too much into a small space. Product is good at a good. I would suggest using an out of town oulet.

It's okay it does what it says on the tin. The only problem i have is what happened to the menswear department it has disappeared.

Went in and got what we needed without too much problem. Pretty good sale on at the moment so got better value than expected.
