My case was a false arrest and I was assigned Menon by legal aid not by choice. I will however still want to make it clear that I am rating 2.5 stars (but there is no option for half star) which is a passing mark since the end result was a peace bond to be fair and I don't want to discredit but again I strongly feel that there are many lawyers that could achieve the same result given my case. Aside from the really bad accent if you are willing to put up with it, I have been called annoying from asking questions which to be fair it can be true but that's because many of us who don't study law wouldn't know the exact procedures. I still find questions such as asking the purpose of writing a letter to the judge important, and not be simply told to "google it", and asking about a rough estimate of his fees of going to trial (again no answer but it is something that only he should know). To this day, I still don't know what he really did that justifies costing me $1000 from legal aid where it was a false arrest with no substantial evidence and just accepting a peace bond that the crown prosecutor offered WITHOUT any changes to conditions. One of the peace bond conditions was anger management which I did not want but quote my lawyer "I did not want to argue" which I thought was why I had him as a lawyer. I am only speaking from my own experience and not trying to discredit. It seemed my case was of low importance to him and communication ranges from no response to emails and getting hung up on multiple times. I kept looking at the reviews here so far and wondering if its my problem, and I really really wanted to end off on a high note but I really had it when I had to wait an extra unnecessary month for him to FINALLY send an email to book the date for the peace bond acceptance. Me personally, I wouldn't have been comfortable letting him represent me in trial when he gets paid regardless win/ lose and I had to actually get another lawyer to answer my questions that I had. I am not sure why he asked me to write this review to attract clients when it felt like he had no time for clients like me or that he already has too many cases.

Because of my situation, i needed early appointment and he made an arrangement for me and helped me out and also whenever i needed him for small queries, he replied me and did his best to help me out. I also dealt with another lawyer, and i asked same questions but Menon sir replied me and helped me, where as my another lawyer didnt get a chance to accommodate me.
