My engine light of my VW Passat came on and I took it into Don Valley Volkswagen dealership and was informed diagnostics results on the engine light "requires decarb 7 hrs. Recommend fuel service to clean and remove contamination and debris from system." COST: $1367 + $200 Diagnostics + HST. At that cost I took the car to another shop, RoadRunner Auto Repair Centre - Class A mechanics, for an estimate. Diagnostics indicated - Misfire CYL 4 - (4) spark plugs and an ignition coil for a total cost of $400 + HST. The engine light is off and the car is running well. When I asked Joe about the engine carb he advised, given the Don Valley VW diagnostics, the mechanics found ZERO carbon in my engine and ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT require a costly engine decarb. Joe says he sees this all the time and that what was really wrong with the car - spark plugs - were not on the Don Valley VW repair list. I heard of Joe from my client who says RoadRunner services their company fleet of vans and trucks as well as their personal vehicles and their wives vehicles. Highly qualified, honest and reliable. I agree! Joe and the guys are professional, expert Class A mechanics. I highly recommend RoadRunner and am very grateful they take good care of my car.

I’d only ever had 1 brand new vehicle in my life and it was my second vehicle. Just recently I needed a new engine because my current one was very weak and burning 2-3 litres of oil per week. The truck also needed a new transmission solenoid pack, o2 sensor and oil pressure switch. Joe was referred to me by one of my colleagues and its the first time I have taken my car to a mechanic's shop for maintenance. They are super busy and I was a bit hesitant just leaving the car there.. with only a couple of grunts from Joe. .. This seems like a good shop. I was traveling from out of the country and these guys helped me out in a bad situation. I needed to have my struts replaced, one went out during my 8 hour road trip. They were able to get me in and repaired the same day, even with hard to find parts. The price they quoted me over the phone is what I payed. I would recommend this place. I'm not a car guy, but the work seems quality so far.

The people here are nice enough. I did an oil change and was told multiple different prices so it was a bit confusing. I was told $39.99 by Joe who I believe is the boss, then $47.99 by Nick who works the front desk. I brought my car at 9am for winter tire change and waited 3 hours for it to be done cause they were so busy (obviously nothing I can do about that).

My vehicle was serviced by Nick at the shop. The customer service experience exceeded all my expectations. He was very thorough checking over my vehicle and was able to accommodate me on such short notice. I highly recommended Nick to anyone looking for service on their vehicle!
