This restaurant far exceeded expectations. The ambience is on point, which is supported well by the Vietnamese props/decorations and the traditional clothing that the wait staff wear. The wait staff themselves are super friendly, polite, and helpful. Finally, the food is delicious. The rice paper rolls are the best I've ever tasted! The mock meat is so realistic that it's almost disconcerting, as a vegan. The food is brought to the table on burners so that they won't go cold! This is an incredible restaurant that truly deserves five stars.

It was my first time there yesterday for dinner. It was gorgeous inside! The warm red aura and vibes, as well as the furnishings was elegant and beautiful! The service was good, and the meal I had was filling and delicious! I ordered the Wonton soup, Curry with rice, lemonade and banana fritter for dessert. Each had their own charm and presentation and I was amazed how much I liked it all! I will come again, but I do wish this place opened in the afternoon hours too. Now that Sasaki is gone, I would love a new Asian restaurant to open after noon like Sasaki did.

Came here with my family, & can say the atmosphere is a 10/10 alongside the waiters/waitresses. The service was Fantastic, the wait on time for food was also super quick. Only negative thing I could say was the servings are awfully small for the price. Everything is extremely overpriced for what you get. I ordered a vegetarian hot pot, which was $18.50 and it was literally just a small bowl of vegetables with sauce (sauce was amazing though) but you had to pay extra for rice?? The menu was also really disappointing. At least the service made up for it however would probably want to try other Vietnamese restaurants for better priced food & better quality.

People were nice I dont want to complain things have been hard businesses after COVID-19 but im hoping the owner looks and sees that improvements can be made my wife is Vietnamese she was horrified by the food quality I guess we have been spoilt we eat at springvale alot my entree came after my main meal my meal was okay my entree was a burnt pancake still have the burnt flavour in my mouth from four hours ago wasnt exactly cheap I normally go to asian restaurants that are full of asian people thats a good sign but nha trang was full of Aussies im Aussie aswell but normally these restaurants cater for the way Aussies like to eat so it wont be traditional sadlly I dont think ill be back wasnt bad but was far from great.

I'm disappointed to be writing this review about my favourite restaurant. I'm a regular customer, I even had my 21st birthday Dinner here however my last experience has me questioning the practices of this restaurant. Twice I had to return food for it having a hair in the side dish. I was appalled to see it happen a second time, which only indicates that instead of throwing out the contaminated batch of greens, they instead redid my dish. To later receive another dish from the same batch with another hair. A 10% off the total bill was offered to rectify the issue however the standard of food offered is much more important to me than a few dollars off.

Wow, just wow! From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a warm homely feeling. I cannot wait to go back again! Food was amazing, our waiter was very helpful and the food came out in a relatively good amount of time! Their chilli oil was fire! Overall, if you’re looking for a great Vietnamese Restaurant, look no further than Nha Trang. 10/10!!

We were looking forward so much to returning there after enjoying a sumptious meal in May 2022, when every food item ordered by our party of 4 was absolutely delicious. Two of us went there last week and every dish we ordered was woeful! They gave us different dishes to what we had ordered & even the peanut sauce for the prawn crackers tasted woeful. The food did not taste at all appetising & we did not feel nourished like you do when you have eaten good food. It is as if the chefs have changed or just dom't care anymore. We will never return.

Good, authentic Viet food that could rival your asian aunty's food. In our several visits here, the dishes have been excellent in terms of taste and visual appeal. We chose different dishes to share across the table for the best tasting experience. We would recommend the sugar cane prawns (entree), beef coleslaw and the traditional curry. Ambience in the restaurant is great, and wait staff are very attentive and friendly. Well worth the drive down (past Springvale) to Frankston for proper Vietnamese food.

Was there 9th of Feb. Waiter was good. Food coming out to the tables too slow. Plus 1/2 of our meals came out and had to wait longer for the other 1/2. Order a stir fry fish and lemon grass what came out was whole snapper. Was told when paying the bill the chief misunderstood. Well I wasn't going to pay for something I didn't order or ate to be told that was a $40.00 order really not my problem. Also order rice for 4 to be charged $27.00 which was really enough rice for two. This was our second time back as the first time I enjoyed. Will we be going back NOPE!

I was able to enjoy dinner with 4 people, we each had a banquet (great value for $$). There are a few different options to choose from with variations in the meals. The service was excellent and very accommodating. Personally I loved the wontons and the sauces, the mains were damn good too

We would like to eat with a family of 5. First of all we were directed to the table at the window. Because it was cold we asked to sit at another place. This was not possible and the girl who was talking to us was very unpleasant. 2 minutes later she came back and asked if we could sit with 3 at one side of the table. This was not comfortable but discussion was not possible. We decided to leave and found a nice restaurant at the other side of the street. She could better work in the kitchen (-;

On ordering we’re told no steamed rice available?? It’s an Asian restaurant? Spring rolls old dry and overcooked, Ordered a glass of wine waited ages for it then they came and asked what we were waiting for? Maybe the main course! Well both meals were pretty bad, curry and lemongrass chicken which I had to send back as it was cold.. they didn’t charge the full amount as we ate very little of it, I may add the young lady was apologetic

Beautiful decor throughout the restaurant - Quite frankly one of, if not the best designed interiors I have seen at a restaurant. The food was fantastic. We shared a banquet between 3 , the serving sizes were very generous, each dish was just as delicious as the last. Also, a big shoutout to the servers, they were both on the ball all night and very attentive - Thanks guys, keep up the great work!

Rang at 7pm to place an order for pickup. They said it’d be ready in 10-15 minutes. Arrived at 7:20pm, paid for the order and was told it would be a few more minutes. Just before 8pm, we were finally told it would be an hours wait!! (Despite the fact we’d already waited for nearly 45minutes!). Not good enough. Never been here before but that is just terrible communication and customer service, not to mention a complete waste of time! Got a refund and won’t be returning.

Nha Trang is simply the best We love the food and ambience ! We have been dining here for 17 years. Haven't been for a few years as now live interstate and returned last week to the warmest welcome. We dined here for every family occasion, birthdays, mothers day, fathers day etc it was our and still is our favourite Melbourne restaurant, just wish it was up here! We had take away tonight and although the food is nice we were very disappointed with the servings. This is not a isolated problem and I complained about it again before ordering to no avail. Too small for a $20 main of prawns which included 6 prawns and some salad. We also didn't get a dish which we ordered. I like the staff and the food is nice but feel like I'm being ripped off. Won't go back again. That's it's they've lost me.

This has to be be one of the best most authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Melbourne. The vietnamese pancakes are truly magnificent ...but, they will not make them on Saturdays because theyre not easy to make when the restaurant is at its busiest (so rare to find a restaurant that cares so much that they refuse to compromise on the quality of a dish)

Our whole experience was terrible. There were a few tables as it was the weekend but it took ages for anyone to come over for our drink order, then when the drinks finally arrived the wine we ordered was off. The entre was great but the mains took nearly an hour to arrive and when they finally did mine was cold. We have been before on a weekday and dont recall it being a bad experience but after that I dont think id go back.

Decor in this place is really out there and fun. We enjoyed looking at it all. The service was also friendly. However the food here was quite average and overpriced in my opinion. The spring rolls were delicious. But my BBQ beef was tough and a bit too salty and the portion was too small for $26. My partner's curry was apparently not that good. We ordered dessert and that was also very small and not very tasty.

Everything was awesome, service and food just delicious. Decor makes it a fun night out too.

This a great Vietnamese restaurant. You should go here! The staff were very helpful, polite and attentive. The restaurant looks great, they've gone to great detail to decorate the space and really give it an atmosphere. The dishes we tried were really great, fresh and hot and brought out quickly. The menu is extensive and everything sounded good. We will be back to try other things for sure. Thanks a lot

Love this restaurant, staff are always friendly, food great, lots of vegetarian options they also had the fake meat which I’m not into but some vegetarians enjoy. I had a Vegetarian Vietnamese salad with tofu which was amazing, they understood no fish sauce for Vegetarians as a lot of places don’t get it. Others had scallops and a curry all equally good.

Went to order take away, ordered the Vietnamese country pancake and crispy noodles with beef. Pancake was nice and crisp and crispy noodles with beef was outstanding. Noodles were crispy, beef was nice, slurry/gravy really good. Service was outstanding, probably better than the food, because it was take out they explained to eat the pancake and food asap to preserve the texture so we appreciated that.

We had the mixed entree and Nha Trang soup with prawns (Massive prawns). Duck stir fry with veg on dry noodles, lemongrass with chilli and tofu with rice. Freshest veggies and high quality ingredients. All food was delicious, the duck stir fry needed some spice but that need was met with some chilli from the very attentive and obliging wait staff. Great place, we need to come more often.

Great Vietamese restaurant atmosphere, fresh & tasty authentic food, friendly staff. We had the Asparagus Soup & Wonton soup for entrees, both delicious. Then both had a Hot Pot each, one beef & one seafood with a side of rice. Really enjoyable, we will be back. Thank you :)

Me and my wife decided to go back to this beautiful restaurant in frankston after the lock down.to give them support and we must say the food is exceptional we had the banquet (seafood) fantastic and also the duck soup and prawn and tamarind sauce.. finished of with a ice cream sundae. And coffees. Will be back soon thanks for having us.

5 stars eating in but 2 stars for takeaway.Ordered thru Uber eats, paid $30 for a seafood combo which was extra for a deep dish.........The dish was barely half full, more like a $10 dish and the other dish was no better.Spent $80 and felt like we got $40 worth.The meals might satisfy a small appetite like for a child.

This place is my favourite restaurant in Australia, it cannot be topped. The decorations are top tier, food fantastic & staff always so nice. I go here ~once a week. There is not a single other place that can top Nha Trang (Frankston) - not the place in Vietnam. My recommendation: satay vegetarian layer pork

Nice food but waitress couldn't understand us much and it was quite difficult to order. We got served a few wrong orders, and one was a vegetarian on our table asked for no meat in her fried rice, to be told it only has prawns so they will be removed, then her meal came and the rice was full of ham/bacon.

Pros: Amazing service, high quality food, tastes absolutely amazing, the restaurant itself is such a welcoming environment and the prices are extremely competitive. Cons: Food can take a little long to come out, our drinks had flat/not fizzy coke.

Fried noodles dish was bizarre. Mum and I couldn't put our finger on it. Rice was chewy and there was a lot more vegetables than mean in all dishes. Staff were friendly and attentive. Price reasonable. Just don't think I'll return.

Amazing authentic Vietnamese food. I’ve tried so many places in Melbourne including Springvale, Richmond, sunshine, Footscray and St. Albans. First class service and food. Would totally recommend. It’s got a good romantic vibe !

There's a pretty good variety of tasty dishes here including some I haven't tried elsewhere. The decor is very loud and it's usually fairly busy. I mostly get takeaway which travels will, but be aware that it is cash only.

Goog food nice and fresh , service is good but staff needs more training and have some flexibility to allow customers to order meals that are slightly away from the menus. Overall very good ,strongly recommand. Patrick.

Great attention to table service and a clean variety of meals, meat and vegetarian. Authentic feel to restaurant and worth the visit especially if you're a local. Not the cheapest eat out but it's quality.

Lovely restaurant of the old style. The food is tasty and there are some local dishes that make it interesting. We have found they are reliable for gluten free options too. Friendly wait staff too!

One of the better Vietnamese restaurants I've found. The food tastes even better than it looks, very colourful and delicious. And you have got to try the stuffed chicken wings.

Paid $60+ for 6 prawns, about 8 thin pieces of beef, one portion of rice, and flavourless noodles. The amount we got was only worth $20, not $60. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

I only like to eat Vietnamese occasionally ,but they definitely have a great selection to choose from ,my meal was average but that's because I was not familiar with the food
