These guys have been fantastic in the past, but gee I'm annoyed that last Sunday, a10 buck set of brake pads cost me FORTY BUCKS. I really needed them, so I didn't argue the price, but that's a massive mark-up. They weren't genuine shimano, which is neither here nor there, but seriously, a 300pc increase in price is a serious price hike. I fitted them myself, so I wasn't paying labour.... The repair services they offer are great and the quality of their products is excellent, but ask Q if a ridiculously high price is quoted.... I can't seem to add the pic of my $9.99 shimano pads I got elsewhere to this review, but pls, shop around!!! Edited to say: I appreciate this shop... they are usually fantastic. This was a shock, pricewise, but I could have said hell, no. In future I will try not to be in such a desperate situation for brake pads. Gave you 2 more stars for the reply!

Went to have my bike serviced, it was mean't to "run like new" according to the person I spoke with. The service was late and I had to pick the bike up a day after the deadline, the service guy didn't even acknowledge me, and then to find that it was barely touched and a seemingly rushed job which entailed a mere tweak to the gears. I tested the bike right after to find it still did not shift properly at times. All up $129, for just a new rear tyre and minor gear tweak. Ended up servicing the bike myself (I am new to biking) with new shifter cables (which weren't replaced in the service) and shifting was far more crisp and clean than it had been, "store serviced". I am sure others have had "great" experiences but I did not have such a positive experience.

Unhelpful staff. I do not recommend. Cheers Looking for a bolt for the slx shifter, the staff told me to bring my bike to see where the part missing while I told them I can point out if they have the slx shifter in any bikes in store, or can show them the bolt from the photo of the shifter so they could look for it while I was there. They just said no, and asked me to bring my bike. On the other hand, before that I went to Trek Springvale and the lady there is very helpful, she cooperated and willing to do some research on the internet for the bolt cuz they do not have any in store. Just want to help the LBS but it seems this Big Bike shop is not good. Recommend you guys go anywhere else.

I brought in my electric bike the rear wheel had significant damage and needed to be constructed I also wanted a few upgrades on the wheel and the bike. James the engineer called me day 1 and quoted me $800 for the repairs I agreed and the work was agreed upon. Day 2 he calls me back and says its actually going to cost $1.1k I refused and picked up my bike. Went to another shop (Melbourne Electric Bicycles) the wheel was replaced with a brand new part and installed for $223.95. Will never come back here poor service and sketchy dealings. 0/5 stars. Highly reccomend Melbourne Electric Bicycles for honest and reliable service.

Came in. They argued over who was going to serve me. Rushed me, not sure why as they made us line up out the front for Covid reasons- I guess customer service ceases on Saturdays.I spent about 10 minutes deciding on a bike- and was scolded by the other salesman for my salesman daring to show me a sold bike purely for comparison reasons.I spent over $500.00 on a ladies malvern star Storm and helmet ( can provide receipts to whomever asks). And wait for it: didn’t even pump my bike tyres up. Wow. The basics. Brand new bike at home with no air in the tyres, major fail guys. Wouldn’t recommend to families.

Paid over $2000 on a new bike and as soon as I needed a repair they have had my bike going on 6 months and keep telling me next month when I call. Still no parts and only once in 6 months have they contacted me forc a update. Only after pointing out the fact they haven't contacted me once. Even they admit it is BAD customer service. They seem more than happy to take your money than help you repair your bike. I suggest if you need good customer service..... go elsewhere. Just received a text saying it's going to be another month. Covid is no excuse for bad customer service.

Fantastic staff, always friendly and helpful which is great for a novice like me. Really reasonably priced for servicing as well. I called yesterday (3/11/2016) and asked if they could help me at short notice as I have a charity ride tomorrow (5/11/2016). They agreed to look at my bike first thing this morning (4/11/16). By 10:30am James called me to tell me the bike was ready! I had a jockey wheel, chain and gear cable replaced for $140 which is exceptional value. Highly recommend these guys.

What a great bunch. I went in with a crankshaft and pedal problem of our own making and the One Big Bike team could not have been more helpful. They took the trouble to identify the most cost effective solution to my problem and were able to turn around the repair in less than 24 hours, sending a text to alert me when it was completed. Great customer service and great value for money from a professional team. I would use them again without hesitation

Great shop with great knowledgeable stuff. I have done a comprehensive 2 hours bike maintenance and repair training course with them on their workshop. The training was very in-depth. I used by tools instead of their pro-grade stuff because that's what I will be using. Now I know most of the immediate stuff and how to work with them. I highly recommend to any bike enthusiast who wish to do a bit more than cleaning and rubbing bike!

Took my mountain bike in to get some work done, quoted all the services needed to get the job done even came out cheaper then anywhere else and they are the best guys to for wheel building, Darryl there is the man!!! Genius wheel builder & engineer who has always been very helpful to me. Thanks guys, look forward to dealing with you again... can’t recommend this place enough to friends & family.

Great service by Brett and the team. I'm a complete hack who rides for the sheer pleasure of it. Brett was very kind to install the car bike rack that I purchased at no extra charge, and then slowly talk me through its operation. Very much appreciated. Suppose I better go and check out the state of my bike now after three years in storage! Tipping she'll need some lovin'. I know where she'll be going...

Do not recommend! The owner commented on how expensive my pedal was then when I said I needed a matching bolt because the other came out while riding, They bashed in my bolt/pedal because they didn't have the right sized Allen key. Once they got the bolt out they didn't even have a matching bolt which is all I came in for.

I went in to look at some bikes, the bloke talked my ears off for half an hour about his days of racing as a young fella." I just wanted to look at bikes" I told him what I was after but he kept showing me things I wasn't interested in.., I wasn't to impressed with their range. I won't be going back there.

Great, knowledgeable team of people here with a fantastic selection of bikes from a few of the major brands. Pricing is reasonable and the bikes they stock seem to be well chosen with a good selection of parts on them. They also provide the usual services such as bike maintenance, spare parts etc.

A big shout out to the team at One Big Bike for helping me sort out issues with my bike in preparation for tomorrow's triathlon at Sandringham. Thank you to the mechanics and owner of the store. Nothing was too much trouble even when I just walked in said "help". Highly recommended this store.

Fantastic service. In and out, had a really nice bloke being my bike on from my car and service it, change the tyre, clean up the chain, give me a new seat and a basket. Same day service which was fantastic. Highly recommend, really great at giving advice would definitely come back.

I had some issues with a relatively new bike so I gave these guys a call. They were friendly, fast and very affordable!

Cost me $15 for a new tube and $25 for the service. After calling the other stores they've told me I got ripped off.
