Quan 88 is a hidden gem in St Kilda that offers a truly delightful Vietnamese dining experience. My wife and I visited this restaurant for a Sunday lunch, and we were blown away by the amazing food and top-notch service. We started off with the Quail with Spicy 88 Sauce, and it was hands down the best dish we had during our entire visit. The flavours were perfectly balanced, and the quail was cooked to perfection. We couldn't get enough of it! For our mains, we tried the Saigon Crispy Pork with Tamarind Sauce and the Combination Seafood with Lemongrass and Chilli. The crispy pork dish was simply superb. The combination seafood dish was a sizzler and packed with incredible flavours of lemongrass and chilli. Although the Combination Soft Egg Noodles had a bit too much protein and less noodles, the overall taste was still good. We also had the opportunity to try the Chicken Pho, and it was hands down one of the best pho dishes we've ever had in Melbourne. The soup was fresh, not overly salty, and had a subtle sweetness that elevated the flavours. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The staff members were attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The dishes came out promptly, which was impressive considering the restaurant's busy atmosphere. In terms of pricing, Quan 88 offers excellent value for money. The quality of the food, coupled with the generous portion sizes, makes it a fantastic option for those seeking authentic Vietnamese cuisine without breaking the bank. Overall, our experience here was nothing short of fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was vibrant. If you're looking for a place to enjoy Vietnamese food in St Kilda, I highly recommend Quan 88 to all foodies.

Dined in last Friday night, table for 6. Good vibe, friendly atmosphere, good customer service and food came out super quick!! Ordered the Spring Rolls to share came with iceberg lettuce leaves and a dipping sauce, tasty! Mains were Prawn with Black Pepper, Spicy Chilli Beef, Chicken Fried Rice, Beef with Noodles, Deep Fried Chicken and Mongolian Beef All dishes were hot, fresh, well cooked and seasoned just needed more protein on the plate Paired that with a Hills Pear Cider which didn't touch the sides! Overall great night was had by all, parking can be difficult but would still recommend

Food was amazing and better than I expected. Service could be a little better only because the food allergy options could be listed or known upfront instead of having to ask every time. Otherwise they cater for a range of food allergies and are very good at knowing what they are doing!

We love this place. Great food. Good value. Amazing service. Nice atmosphere/venue. Reasonably priced food and house wines are cheap and really quite good. Highly recommend the Pho-but to be honest-everything we have had has been great. Thoroughly recommended as great value

Here the food and ambience are quite good, but can't say as much regarding the attitude of some of the staff. Ambience, and respect from staff are as important as how food tastes. If I'm not made to feel welcome, then eating, no matter how divine the food is, isn't pleasant. We ordered salt and pepper tofu, spring rolls, Vietnamese coleslaw and Jasmine rice. We dined at around 9pm, Sat 22nd April 2023.

Been recommended by many locals to try, the spicy quail and crispy chicken wings were delicious. However perhaps there’s an understaffing issue, Ordered a main meal and hadn’t received it until an hour and fifteen minutes later.

Food is great but service is better! We found a fly in our vermicelli rice noodles and they offered to replace it and strike it off our menu immediately, and the service itself is fast. Their food is authentic Vietnamese and certainly one of the best places to satisfy your Vietnamese cravings! They also have an upstairs place for functions that'll be on the top of my list for future events.
The best Vietnamese restaurant in St Kilda. Everything is awesome here. It's a must-try if you visit StKilda.

Not the best welcome. Went with my family expecting a good dinner. Took them 45 minutes to serve 2 Pho and the waiter went pass the table never questioning why we haven't been served. The manager kept saying 2 minutes since they have lost the docket. They were 2 interstellar minutes. First time and last one unfortunately. More
Wonderful, friendly, very attentive staff, food was divine and delish. Will definitely go again. Thankyou

Authentic vietnamese cuisine and the ambiente is nice, too! The meal was just delicious and had me taken back to Vietnam. I loved it! PS: I was there in Winter, but for the more crowded times: You will always find a table. They have two well decorated floors.

Good location and good food but I was mostly impressed by their wait staff/service. They were extremely attentive to sitting us right away, refills on water and even replacing a dropped chopstick within seconds of us dropping it. Food came

Had a special occasion birthday and the food was absolutely incredible. The staff went out of their way to help in any way possible. All of our guests raved about the food and they are foodies. Can’t thank you enough!
Ordered from here and it was truly horrific. The sweet and sour pork was 80% batter, the spring rolls were the complete opposite of crunchy and the vermicelli dish was extremely oily and lacked flavour.
I really love this restaurant and I will come back if I come to Melbourne next time. ❤️❤️

Pop pop pop! I’m at work but just dropped in for the papaya salad. Medium to moderate level of impressed with the food and the service is really friendly and helpful ✌️ More
Reliable, consistent and reasonably authentic Vietnamese food in St Kilda. I have been here on a few other occasions when visiting Melbourne, and look forward to returning.
The soup of its pho is one of the best in Melbourne, which is fresh, not overly salty, and subtly sweet. Btw, strongly recommend a dish called Eggplant Stuffed Prawn!! More
Delicious food, friendly polite service, and very efficient. The Saigon Coconut Beef was delicious!

Delicious pho, meals came out quickly and the prices are very reasonable. Great local spot for the people in St Kilda. Oh, and it tastes super fresh too!
large menu of tasty dishes and cold beers. open late which is good. quick and efficient service, nice open space. always pretty busy. More
Takeaway lunch of prawn rice paper rolls. They come in a serve of 3 with a tasty hoisin but there isn’t a huge amount of filling there
Their spicy sauce with chicken ribs and quail is pretty good but the rest werent really memorable. Comfy seating and friendly service
Delicious and great atmosphere. Completely full but still able to fit a table of 3. Spring rolls, chicken pho and beef pho. So good.
Exactly what I was looking for in pho and delicious, generously-stuffed summer rolls really enjoyed my meal here! …
Delicious food and generous serves, so easy to over order. Great dishes for sharing. Very hospitable and welcoming.
Half the menu is probably Chinese rather than Vietnamese but no complaints, the beef pho was tasty.
Visited this place for the first time. Nice ambience and tasty food. Loved crispy chicken noodles.
Amazing food!! They have special price for lunch, just $15 and the food is delicious …
This place deserves more than 4.4 stars. They have possibly the best pho in Melbourne.
