I live in the foothills of the Dandenongs at the top of a steep hill. Only young and fit cyclists can ride up all the way—and I'm decades past being young and fit. I put the bike on back of the car to join local bike trails. The result is I wasn't doing as much riding as I've done in the past. I have a decent bike so an e-bike conversion seemed the best solution. Thank you, Hamed, for helping me chose best options for my situation. Rebecca telephoned later in the day and said my bike was finished and would be ready for collection in the morning. That was fast! Next day Rebecca went through the functions of the information display and battery care then sent me on a test ride around the block. All good. I then set out on the 24 km ride home. Hills which previously would have had me stopping to catch my breath or walking up I now zoomed up. An enjoyable ride instead of a slog. Riding is now great fun. A big thanks to REV bikes for transforming my tired old bike to a 5 star cruiser ! . It’s early days yet and I haven’t done a big ride but managed to do a 25 km shakedown ride yesterday and the performance was awesome. The service at REV bikes was exceptional from start to finish. I recently engaged Rev Bikes (Nunawading branch) to amplify my Norco Storm mountain bike with a Bafang 750 watt mid-drive system, 20 ah battery, hard-wired front and rear lights and a larger Lekkie chain ring. The build was completed several days before the quoted time, with the final look of the bike being much slicker than expected, given the amount of wiring and engineering match-ups to the existing drive train. Initially dealing with Revbecca, I was encouraged by them to specify exactly what my needs would be from the system, the (at times confusing) details being explained to me simply and cheerfully. The bike has performed smoothly and without issue thus far, the pairing of the electric motor, battery and accessories needing no attention from me. When I have called Rev with detailed questions about the system, they have been very helpfull in their after-sales service. Rebecca patiently explained and introduced me to the options available for my bike conversion. After testing mid drive and hub motors a few times, I was sold. I've been keeping my eye on getting an eBike conversion for around 5 years now and specifically been eyeing out REV during that time. I've seen similar places sprout up over the years, some survive, some don't. The one thing I've seen with REV is they've been doing these conversions for a looooooong time - they know what they're doing, they've been around forever and they're going to be there in the years going forward ... why? Because they're actually really good. When I went in, I did have a rough idea of what I wanted/needed. But Rebecca was absolutely fantastic. Professional, skilled, knowledgeable and welcoming - and above all - comes with years of experience and clearly a passion for what she does. Rev Electric recently upgraded my disc brakes from 2 to 4 pistons as my very heavy ebike came with pretty average calipers. They also modified it from dual to triple batteries for added range. In both cases Rebecca and her mechanics were very knowledgeable, friendly and very supportive in their advice and interactions with me. Manuel and Guy did an incredible job with the work itself and went above and beyond with organising components and wiring etc. Rebecca exemplifies what a local bike shop owner is supposed to be and is clearly passionate and caring about biking and really looked after my needs. I’ve gone through. any bike shops and REV us by far the best and I’ll be coming back here fir all my servicing. Very highly recommended you meet the staff here!!

I've heard stories of customers bikes falling apart straight out of the Rev Bikes workshop. This business promotes illegal activity, such as riding overpowered electric bikes on public roads (which are considered unregistered motorbikes). I have owned 3 kits from Rev Bikes and after complaining about lack of support and modifications on my bike without authorization - which involved a price change almost double our original agreement - the owner and her husband turned into rude, spiteful people when questioned. If you are going to buy an electric bike kit - just import it yourself and skip this dodgy middle man.

I think I fell in love with the bike when I saw it. It is a stylish, classy looking thing with its leather trim. I found the system easy to work on the test run and seemed to have plenty of power. I like how the gears are placed compared to some other types. I wasnt sure how often I would ride to work but have risen three times already, and only other commitments and weather stopping me from riding more. Rebecca and the team were very knowledgable and professional. Where once I would have thought twice about riding in case I hit a big hill, I am now ducking up to the shops, going out for coffee and riding the 25 minutes to work a couple of times a week. I can highly recommend Revbikes and I am thoroughly enjoying getting out on my e-bike.

Rebecca at Rev Bikes is a true professional. Having failed in attempts to source a new electric tandem we sought Rebeccas advice on converting our 15 year old Apollo tandem. Despite some idiosyncrasies unique to tandems the installation of a mid-mount motor went without a hitch. Cabling was cut to length without any excess loops, routed to be as unobtrusive as possible, and professionally finished. A full explanation of the motor, display monitor and battery was given, together with relevant printed material. Nothing was too much trouble. An altogether pleasant and stress free experience. Can't recommend Rev Bikes highly enough.

I bought a 1500w kit from Rev Bikes and I couldn't be happier. The kit is good looking, powerful and good quality. I chose to buy it here as they're a local company with local support. When things break down (which is highly likely if you were to buy a kit from ebay or online somewhere else) then you have the friendly faces and support right here in Melbourne. Not only that, but pricing on these kits is barely higher than ebay, but for way more trustworthy and superior products. If you want to electrify your ride and can't justify a dedicated ebike for a few grand, go to these guys, they'll make it happen!

I have had 2 bikes converted to electric assist by Rebecca and advise anyone interested in the subject to seek her advice, it is invaluable and avoids the frustration of dealing with companies that lack the necessary knowledge required. The customer service I have received is first class which has allowed the bikes performance to be fine tuned giving an enjoyable experience that encourages frequent riding. I now have a bike that is riden as transport and has replaced the majority of car trips, Rev bikes have been responsible for outstanding support through the entire process.

I'm not a complete newby, I do have some experience in bike mechanics etc. This field can be fairly beguiling for novices. I can say, that if you are considering an e-conversion, then you can approach Rev-Bikes with confidence. Their knowledge is extensive, their advice is honest and on the money, and they take pride in their work. A very neat conversion performed. And the product combination selection (motor, chainring, battery, and other) for the conversion completely satisfies the required use of the bike.

Got myself a brand new bike fully decked out with Beck’s electric kit. Best bike I’ve ever had. Runs super well. I now ride it to work near the CBD most days. It’s so good having the electric drive take the edge off the ride home from the South-Westerly’s. Most of all, you feel like you’re getting more out of life by riding along the beach and the Yarra with lots of coffee shops to choose from along the way. Way better than sitting in traffic in a cocoon called the car. Highly recommend Beck and her team.

I had a conversion kit added to my recumbent Greenspeed handtrike. Rebekah was so helpful and enthusiastic, online and in person. The conversion has really changed my enjoyment of the trike. I can go further, my partner doesn't have to help me at steep points, I feel safer in traffic because of the boost. Just far more independence. Have just been for a trip to the High Country, cycling from the top of Mt Buffalo to Myrtleford, with battery still half-full at the end. Highly recommended.

I had my off-road handcycle electrified by Rebecca with a 1000W mid drive. Rebecca was very courteous and helpful, assisting me with the set up and installed the equipment quickly, so I wouldn't be left without my handcycle. I have done a quite a few 1000 kms with the power assist and have not run into any problems with the equipment. The after sales service has been fantastic, providing advice and sending me parts quickly when I broke a sensor. I would highly recommend Rev-bikes.

REV Bikes gave me all the time and advice I needed to get my bike tailored to exactly what I required. The flexibility and combinations of parts available was really surprising, meaning I didn't have to put up with a "one-size-fits-none" kit. And I was really stoked to be able to use my own bike and not have to buy another one! This first bike has clocked about 2,500km and is still going strong. Meanwhile, I'm working on my third REV-sourced project; just for fun.

I purchased an electric bike from Rebecca at REV Electric Bikes. Rebecca's spent heaps of time explaining the various types of bikes. I was able to test ride a couple of bikes before making up my mind which bike I would purchase. REV arranged for a Giant Bike to be purchased and delivered to them and they fitted the kit to it. REV turned my favourite touring bike into a vesatile 200km range tourer. It allows a lot more flexibility in the gear im willing to carry, the terrain I can tackle and the range of a daily ride. I can take one or both batteries off and revert it to a standard bike (with a couple of extra kilos). THe quality of REV's work is first rate, and the knowledge base is unbelievable. Cant recommend highly enough.

If you have a special project, these are people you must get to do it They have expert knowledge, friendly, professional and love what they do. This makes all the difference. They did an awesome job fir my electric cargo bike that was my primary means if Transport. It needed to be 200% reliable and it was. You can’t do better and do take the time to let them give you options and do it methodically.

Had a very good experience with Rev bikes and Rebecca. My imported electric bike was not working correctly, Rebecca diagnosed the problems and provided options. Ended up changing to a Rev bike kit that Rev installed. Ridden 2500km in the last year and operated flawlessly. Great that Rev bikes is more accessible in Nunawading and has the rail bike track really close by to test out the bikes.

Revbecca’s response to my email enquiry was: “The bike looks straightforward enough, it will end up a beauty once we've given it some wings!” From there I knew this was going to be a good experience! Hamed and Bec provide full service for my bike, and the works completed are thorough and accurate. My bike never misses a beat after nearly 6000kms. bought the 'rev folding' ebike but not happy. very wobbly/noodly, to the point of feeling unsafe to take a hand off to signal. Despite raising the concerns immediately, Rev refused to honor their satisfaction guarantee and suggested I buy a helmet with indicators on it! Otherwise a nice bike

I converted a good dual suspension mountain bike, into an awesome e-bike. Buying the same "named" bike would have cost me thousands more. There is nothing subtle about a 19.6 aH battery, but my bike still looks like a bike, feels like a bike, and gets me to work without needing a shower.

The old e-bike set up on my partners bike had started to play up. We had planned a trip to central Australia. I contacted REV bikes they did a great job replacing the old setup and had it fixed 3 days before we head off my partner is wrapped she just loves the bike. Thank you Rebecca.

Whilst they did repair my battery they sacrificed my working battery charger in the process and charged me an extra $80 for a replacement. I understand that mistakes can be made, but it's how you respond to them that really matters. I asked for an explanation but never received one.

Just clicked over 16,300km on my converted Giant bike and I haven't had a single problem with it since having it done three-and-a-half years ago. The bike has been totally reliable and the REV service and advice has been simply outstanding. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
