Somehow my old review is gone so I'll do it again. This happened in 2004, but still... I got into a small argument with Amin about something, I can't remember. I paid for the repairs to my Volkswagon Golf and drove to the Adirondacks. On my way home, on the I-90 driving 100 km/h, my wheel flew off the car and we were fortunate to be able to pull over on 3 wheels and come out of it alive. We took it to a shop outside Buffalo, and then had to get it towed to Fort Erie, where the mechanic explained that the cotter pin wasn't put back in the wheel, and if that happens the wheel will slowly loosen and come off after about 800 km, which is pretty much what we had driven. Whether this was done out of spite or negligence, they almost killed us. We tried to sue but couldn't because the business wasn't registered with an Ontario Inc. #.

When our warranty ran out on our Nissan Micra I was looking for a local garage to start taking our car to. A friend suggested Salim as he has been his mechanic for years. Shortly after our warranty expired a loud new rattle started so we brought it in to be looked at. We recieved our car back the same day, rattle gone and a very honest and quick repair done for a very good price. Something I know that taking it to Nissan would have been in the hundreds of dollars as they would charged for a full diagnostic service when it was a simple fix. Will definitely be using Salim for future services.

I was in a desperate way ! my water pump went kaput ! Putting a big hole in my rad, and to top it off when you own a volkswagon your always waiting for the other shoe to drop and it did . When your water pump goes you have to change the timing chain too. I went to Salim's with in 5 minutes he had Identified the issues and said it will be ready by 6:30 he called at 6:10 ì couldn't believe it I dropped it off at 11:00 thinking at least a day and a half . But they kept there word did a great job nice and clean which was very important since it was just painted a week before.

Update November 10th: Asked Salim to check/repair noise coming front driver side. He test drove, put on hoist, tightened a few things and refused any remuneration for his time - show me a dealership that will do this for you! He's not pretty to look at but has a beautiful soul! Salim has been working on my cars for over 20 years. He always does his best to take care of me even when he is extremely busy. Salim and his staff are knowledgeable, honest mechanics. Compared to dealership rates you will save anywhere from 10 - 20% - I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else!

Brought my car in with no heat to get the heater blower, resistor and cooling system flush. Quoted $350. Picked up the car, still no heat. The new fan makes a loud whistle noise and they charged me for a cabin air filter which they did not ask me about and I did not authorize. Bill came to more than $650. Very disappointed and my car is still not safe to drive in cold weather. Avoid. Especially as they added extra things to my bill that i didn’t want nor authorize, and not even address the issue that brought me there. Feeling scammed.

I recently went to Salim’s and it was my first experience taking my car there to get fixed. I saw the great reviews and they truly did not disappoint. Extremely kind gentlemen, honest and very fair prices. I was in a very tricky position and they were so helpful. Thank you so much Salim! I highly recommend this mechanic.

I called in today looking for advice on where to get a part for my VW, as it turned out it didnt need replacing just cleaning up and lubricating which they did free of charge. I know that's a small thing but it was a wonderful gesture of which I'm really appreciative of and will take all my VW needs to this garage.

I've been taking my Audis to Amin for years. Over that time, he has been honest and direct with me. I would NOT hesitate to throw him the keys to any of my cars and ask him to make the necessary repairs. I would never fear him overcharging me or doing unnecessary work.

I had a VW garage I went to in Keswick and luckily found Salim when I moved back into city. They do fast work and reasonably priced. We often discuss using new or good used parts in my 99 Jetta TDI. If you have a VW and are in the city you have to try Salim out.

They're the only shop I could find, after weeks of looking, that could fix my van. They're always quick and professional and after a few repair jobs by them over the years I've come to trust their work. I never feel over charged either.

First time customer. Salim did my repair for a full 1000$ less than I was quoted at the VW dealership, and was friendly and quick to boot. I brought my car in around 3pm and it was ready by lunch the next day. Great service.

Very unprofessional people don't know how to open a fuse box ,broke latches on it then my speakers fuse was misplaced and charged me 130 for other repair charges felt ripped off to be honest

Salim is a very personable gentleman. True to his word. Within 5 minutes of meeting him. I felt like I knew him forever. Great location. Close to the highway. Close to service Ontario.

Worst Garage, called me twice to the workshop to fix my Tyre but when I came he said I have too much work and can't do it. Completely wasted my time! Highly unprofessional.
