It was simultaneously everything we had imagined, but more than we could have ever hoped for and our guests couldn't stop talking about them. From setting up everything with care and attention to detail, to guiding us on where to repurpose arrangements and de-constructing everything afterwards. They even gave us individual orchids and bouquets as keepsakes for us and our guests to enjoy after the wedding. Almost 3 months later and the dried flowers are sitting perfectly in our home. Jess was so thoughtful and generous, and we felt like she truly cared about us and our special day. We cannot recommend Sassafras Wedding enough. Where to begin with the amazingly talented Jess and her incredible team. I can't even begin to express my gratitude to Sassafras Flower Design. I got married a little over four months ago and have been writing and re-writing my review this whole time — I felt like I never quite got what I wanted to say right. I adored working with Jess, who was an absolute joy. We were completely in sync from day dot, and trusting her with the entire aesthetic was as easy as breathing. I loved her work and decided I wanted her as my florist before I was even engaged! But to be on the receiving end of her genius is a whole new level of awe. Just after the first look, our celebrant told me that my husband had to take a second to sit in the pews before the reception started to take it all in. He was determined not to be in the chapel when everyone was there, so the fact that he risked it for a few moments with their work says a lot!!! I could not have asked for a more wonderful ceremony or reception setup. I was almost overwhelmed by how perfect everything the team created was. Having Jess as our Florist on our wedding day was the best decision. Her patience when we had my first consultation; her kind and reassuring words when I planned the wedding, especially with the ever changing COVID restrictions and my ever changing seating plan; her great attention to detail and extreme beautiful taste of flower arrangements had made our day the prettiest! Through my super vague and brief descriptions of what I wanted, she not only made the beautiful arrangements at the chapel and reception, but also made me a heart shape bouquet which is the same meaning as my middle name in Chinese (What a miracle! as I didn't tell her). My guests, photographers and the staff were also super impressed by her work on the day and through all the photos on social media. Jess was fantastic to work with and she is a floral artist. Jess was a total pro - she was very responsive to emails and calls she encouraged me to send inspiration photos from magazines and pictures of details as we nailed them down (dresses, suits, stationery, etc.); and she was so patient as I changed my mind about a thousand times. Also, Jess was able to decipher my vague comments about shapes of arrangements and my grasping attempts to hone in on the precise meaning of my frustrating colour palette (suffice to say there are many interpretations of ivory, blush, and champagne) to design the perfect style brief, which she then 100% nailed in delivery. Having Jess as our florist for our wedding was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made. All of our guests commented on how stunning the florals were and we have recommended her so many times since. Jess, I just want to say a massive thank you for the wedding flowers, they were absolutely perfect! You came in and dropped them off like a completely ninja and I didn’t get the chance to thank you properly but wow, we were just blown away! Everything from your first initial email to our phone call meetings was a pleasure. You made what is a very stressful time calm in a way that only you can. Your vision captured exactly what we wanted when all we told you was “the colour red and orchids are nice.” The flowers lasted perfectly all day/night and to my knowledge are still going strong in my guests homes, weeks later! Jess and the team were nothing short of amazing! Professional and efficient from the very first call. I rang days before Christmas after the long shutdowns and Jess was more then happy to take my call. honestly we are humbled and blessed to have been able to work with sassafras. I knew our colours would be dramatic and bold but the balance and textures Jess used, brought to the whole look together. I was speechless when seeing my bouquet and the venue and our guests loved them so much there wasn’t a flower left over. We highly recommend sassafras, customer service and design were impeccable and not to mention budget appropriate.

Jess from sassafras flowers went out of her way to create the best colour palette and flower types that would suit my vision and theme for my wedding. She wanted to know every detail so she could ensure everything was perfect and on the day her flowers exceeded my expectations! They blew me away, from the bouquets, to the cake flowers and the alter flowers which were perfect and striking without being over the top. The reception flowers were just amazing too! Flowers were incredible. They spent so much time on the detail of coordinating the flower bunches. They use mostly natural products. For them it would take more time but the result is so much nicer. These flowers really made a significant difference to the feel of the ceremony and reception. The day after the wedding, they even helped me separate the left over flowers to take home. Great people, great product.
