Booked online to get the early bird rates but needed to leave earlier than 3:30pm but got hit with a $52 penalty on top of the original early bird rate. Their booking confirmation email did link to the help section on the Secure Parking website when it comes to the topic of wanting to leave early or later yet there is nothing there (at the time of writing) which talks about the penalty. Regardless, had I left later than expected then obviously a penalty should apply but how does penalising someone for leaving early make any sense?? There was no loss of inconvenience or revenue for the car park at all. The customer service rep stated we should have just used hourly parking, but who in their right mind would choose hourly parking when you need to park within the early bird entry times at a cheaper rate?
I had the same experience as so many other people on this reviews section. Ordered online using Secure-a-spot. Was hit with a very large penalty for “leaving early”. This is outrageous. Secure Parking is not incurring any additional cost or losing any revenue from me choosing to leave early. I called them to request a reversal. Was transferred 3 times, then told that a reversal is “possible”, but only if it is “approved by managers” and it will take 10 days. I then received a condescending reminder that the email fine print informed me of this “policy” (even though I used the SMS). Either way, I was disputing the unfair policy itself, not whether I was ‘warned’ about it. Everyone is saying the same thing, but they just don’t seem to care. Where’s the ‘zero stars’ option?
(Whoever is behind the account replying to these low reviews, most of the time you just say sorry which doesn't change anything. I don't need your sorry, go fix your system instead by adding tap and pay) You can only pay with a physical bank card... i only had my phone with me, so I had to call assistance when going out, there was a cop there that said they'll take my number and then direct me to pay. First person answered, gave him my number he called, then hung up. Tried again, second person tried to charge me extra. There was only 1 exit because it was late, and a lot of cars were waiting for me at this point, some guy had to go down and come call again and tell them to let me out then make me pay since it's just on the phone and cause of the long line.
Would leave zero stars if I could - Booked a secure a spot space between 8.30 - 5pm, paid 25 which I considered fair, ended up leaving the car park at 2pm due to unforeseen circumstances and was then charged an additional fee of 46 dollars (nearly 2 times the original booking fee!) because I left outside of my booking timeframe of between 5-7.30pm. I could understand the charge if I left later, however don’t understand how leaving earlier impacts the fees of the car park. So you get charged for not taking up a car space and leaving earlier, still waiting on a response as to how that additional charge is calculated and considered fair and reasonable
I am very disappointed at this carpark, last time I was there, the pay by card system was disabled and only accepted cash, the weekend rate was $15 all day, I paid with a $20 bill and the machine didn't return the $5 change, I called the phone number at the machine and they said they were going to reset it to return the ticket to make a claim at the website, it is not about the amount of money but it feels like they arrange it in a way that nobody will want to make the claim, in other words like a scam. I hope this help other people to go to another carpark or take the correct amount with you if you don't pre-book a spot.
I say to everyone don't park there. Was regular customer using early bird. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances had to leave work and exit the park early. They have a hidden charge in some conditions where they charge an extra $49 if you leave the park early. Daylight robbery, The charge is not clearly displayed so a customer booking can be clearly aware of it. Even when I pointed out I am a regular customer that has never left early ever in the last two years they refuse to refund me the charge. The lady I spoke to on the phone was rude & did not care. Never going to use these crooks again.
Don't park at Secure Parking - if you stay over by 15min, you have to pay for the time at full casual rate if you got an online rate - ended up paying nearly 3 times the initial parking fee just for 25min over. Wilson Parking has grace period of up to 1hr over stay free and good customer service - Wilson Parking try their best to look after you. Secure Parking customer service not helpful - just greedy money grabbers.
Prices over the Easter weekend were good. $28 per day. Parked from Saturday until Monday and charged $84 as expected. No hidden extras. Getting in and out has some tight corners, i can imagine a lot of cars have been damaged looking at the gouges out of the walls. Take your time and youll be ok. Excellent spot for Darling Harbour and Barrangaroo and easy to get to off the Western Distributor.
Good for weekend parking at $18 for the day that works out cheaper than public transport for a family of 5. It's also conveniently located being a few blocks to QVB but also car entry and exit is a quieter part of Sussex St so you're not sitting in traffic. Make sure you bring the actual credit card as the machine doesn't have NFC payment as an option.
Good carpark but weird payment requirements, can only use a credit or debit card. No cash, no phone, no tap and go, no online. It's 2022 I'm sick of carrying a wallet, you'd think this wouldn't be an issue anymore. Another weird quirk when you book early online to save a single dollar they charge a $1.10 booking fee... nice.
Never use Secure Parking again! They rip you off if you exit ‘earlier’ than your exit time. They took $50.00 out of my account for exiting earlier!! So I payed total $71.10 for parking little longer than 3 hours! Shame on Secure parking for ripping off their customers. No wonder your parking building is empty!
The place I regularly park, when dining out in the CBD of Darling Harbour. Now even better value as the daily rate covers 24 hours, instead of 4 - 5 hours like other places. NRMA member discounts too. Parking spots are a little bigger than most city stations as I drive a people mover.
Poor customer service. No one answering the help button call on pay station for nearly 15 min. Confusing to get in and out with car . No TAP and pay as they only take actual cards . Disappointed on my first and only use . Will never use this parking again.
Worst parking services in the city. They don't even have tap and pay on any of their machines. No response on a Wednesday night when we pressed call for assistance. The tool fee number doesn't work. Wilson parking next door is much better option.
Great car park , but the new website is absolute rubbish. Booking a car park using the new website is a severely frustrating affair, where they say bays available, only then to say you can book on days chosen. Fix your website please
Central location, easily accessible and convenient to almost anywhere in the city, particularly Darling Harbour and Town Hall. Safe, clean, while great evening and weekend prices when there are usually ample spaces available.
This is the good car park with good fee for all day with the security around the parking space. We can parking here with a lot of hour for run around the sydney and town hall or wybard. I will recommend for my friends here.
Very bad PIN coding system. I have been charged 670$ for no reason as the PIN system detected my vehicle leaving the car park 2 weeks after it did. Still through a dispute with the bank and a complaint through Faitr Trading
Very handy to park in the city but my oh my, the parking lanes were tight and the overall parking lot was tight to drive in and could see plenty of accident marks on the walls. Looks like it's made for mini cars only.
Really good smooth operation. Great location. Struggled to remember pin number for entry and exit. Bit of a struggle to turn big cars with very narrow turns. One little lift which can take a long time to reach floor.
Cheap all day parking on the weekend. Short walk to Darling Harbour and to Barangaroo. Only thing don't like there is no Tap 'n Go payment at the Pay Station machine. Only accept credit card.
Nice car park! Used multiple times and love their online booking .. very cheap if you travel to city over the weekend. Handy location too , few hundreds meter away from the Darling harbour
Convenient for going to The Aquarium in Darling Harbour. Plenty of spaces. Booked online, fixed price for a weekend about $16 for the day. Worth it. Easy enough to find and get in/out.
Best value parking on weekend clean, garage, easy spot, have lift to accesing, good one way in and out and the most very important is convinient while you hangout in the Sydney CBD.
Left couple minutes earlier and was charged an extra $55.00 on top of $16.00. So total charge for an early bird ended up $66.00. There are much better parking options out there.
Nice parking location. Good prices if pre-booking online. Be sure to check signage as there are 2 parking lots almost side by side, to prevent going into the wrong one.
Best parking whenever going to Darling Harbour restaurants and cafes. A bit narrow to turn the car inside the parking lot but its clean without any smells and secure.
Great cheap parking on the weekend in the middle of Sydney CBD and close to Darling Harbour. Will use this parking station again as it is in a convenient location.
Weekend flat rate for $15, the condition of exit before 5pm was so tiny it confuses people, after 5 you get charge another $15 for evening rate, such a ripoff
Deserves a zero, paid $85 for a few hours parking to have my car broken into! Called to find out how useless, unhelpful and not secure parking they have!
Safe secure and not so costly during the weekends. Walkable distance from the Sydney's major attractions like sealife , madame Tussaud's and wild life
Good pricing on weekends. For EV charging you need to sign up for a provider. EV Charging pricing is reasonable half of what Tesla supercharger cost.
Perfect location for darling harbor. Discount available for NRMA members online booking. Space is tight though which is normal for city car park.
Great park that you can book online for some great prices on the weekend. Great location and centrally located, which is close to everything.
My go to parking spot for CBD after 5:00pm. Easy access to Town Hall, Darling harbour and Wynyard. Pre book online and get discounted rates.
Easy to get to, with heaps of space. Very cheap on weekends and evenings. $10.50 if you book online for a 5pm to 6am the next day booking
Do not park here. Booked online and they charged us $30 extra for leaving EARLIER. Outrageous. It’s hidden in their terms and conditions.
It's one of the closest car parks to the Sydney Aquarium, and they have a cheap all-day rate on Sundays. And booking online was easy.
Park my motorcycle here every day, M/C spaces are on the ground floor near the entrance. Very secure and clean parking in Sydney CBD.
Great night rates. It's close to darling harbour so really good option to park your car and enjoy the night at bars and restaurants
Great carpark easy walk to darling harbour.. very tight for a SUV.. it was great getting into and pain in the ass to get out of :(
Great location but sometimes too crowded and they allowed people to enter the parking even there is insufficient parking spots....
Terrible. Stay away. They've broken a working system and now you have to wait 10-15 mins every morning to get in. Unbelievable.
Have used this parking a few times recently. Easy to book online and reasonable rates. Central to lots of Sydney things.
OK parking spot, expensive as it is the standard parking rate in the city. Very small and tight corners. Drive carefully
I love this parking. I had a reserve parking there some time ago before COVID pandemic. Convenient and relatively cheap
Not secure parking at all. Had my car broken into and door lock damaged. Turned into an expensive parking experience.
A good parking spot in the CBD. It's close to George St; it has a flat rate price(A$20) on Share With Oscar app.
Booked in advance but then charged more than agreed. Have sent two emails to customer care, with no response.
Went on a public holiday, 18 dollars all day! No bad compared to hourly price of the parking on the street.
Book online, economical, promo codes on subscription.. cheapest place to get parking in weekends in CBD.
Cheap when pre booked. Exit goes straight onto the western distributor will have you home in no time :)
Plenty of parking lots available and very quite on weekend. Bit cheaper than other parkings near by.
surprisingly queit car park, always has space avaialble at weekends, very affordable, great location
Good location with easy access to Cocklebay wharf and kings wharf. Reasonable weekend rate and clean
DO NOT PARK HERE their pay machine is broken you have to call and wait on hold for ages to get out
It was a bit hard to find the exit for pedestrians. Maybe my bad because it was a new place to me
It is secure. Right in the CBD. Easy to navigate through and lots of signage for pedestrians too.
Cheap weekend parking, but dark car park with only 1 working lift when I was there on a weekend.
Normal parking garage. Had a good deal on for weekend rates. Very cheap. Good size spaces too.
Easy $20 early bird parking, in before 930am and out before 630pm. Plenty of spots available.
Nice car park. Perfect when you visit darling harbour. Online booking is easy and cheaper !
Very clean and tidy also well lighting everywhere Central to everywhere I'll be back again.
Right in CBD and for early birds its just $10 for a full day parking. Can't beat that!
Generally pretty good and the better priced secure parking around this part of town
Such a cheap option for a Saturday night in the city. Pre-booked online. Brilliant.
Online booking is useless, can't cancel and you get charged the same as drive up
Convenient online booking facility handy enough to reach all city attractions
The address given to us was a bit confusing. Couldn't find the spot easily.
Formerly Allianz parking. Book online for great weekend and evening deals.
Easy and cheap weekend parking for either Barangaroo or Darling Harbour.
Book ahead, save money, make driving in the city slightly less awful.
Close to Darling Harbour. Affordable weekend rates if you pre-book.
Great parking for a great price of $11 when you prebook on weekends
Very small turning area to ramps lots if damage done by cars
Convenient and easy to book online. Good overnight parking.
Great spot close to Darling harbour and QVB at good price!
Safe and always good deals when using website after 5pm.
Book early and got a day for less than 10. Central too.
Easy parking spot on the weekend, close to the harbour
Convenient location and evening parking was only $12.
Bit expensive but great access and bus always around
A very handy place to park on weekends and evenings.
Good weekend and evening rates when booking online.
85$ for 3 hours on a Wednesday. Avoid this place
Ease of booking online...got good parking spot
Great weekend rates, somewhat tight parking
Very poor service and very rude operator.
Good location and was easy to book online
Super easy - definitely book in advance!
Easy Park at evening and great location
Cheap parking option over the weekend
I could get my large Jeep in easily.
Good location but bit tight for suv.
Good parking near Anzac Bridge entry
Good choice for parking in the city.
Spacious car park, very good rates.
Reasonable and fair parking charges
Secure a spot saves you some money
