"What a joke of this car park at 29 October 2022 evening around 7 pm"
I wasn’t concerned about the price as I pre-booked. However the Festival of Musuc finished at 9.15. We were held up by the Vivid Drone show as security at the opera house cordoned us off along with the 5,500 other attendees plus all the primary school performers. We could see the risk of trampling waiting to happen. Then to get down to the carpark to level 5 on the downward spiral. Only one left working out of 3 so we took the stairs. Once down we started to drive out and head to the up spiral. Got to level 6 on the upward and STOPPED. No movement for over 100 minutes!!! All the levels above all exit and push their way out. The lower levels (4-6) stay stuck for over an hour and a half. It took us two hours to get out of the carpark into fresh air. The ventilation is poor and a serious health risk for Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Recommendations 1) catch public transport - you’ll be home earlier. 2) don’t park at opera house 3) reverse into your spot 4) catch public transport
A very large car park and I have never failed to find a spot even on the busiest Saturday night when there are several shows on at the Opera house at the same time plus the usual crowds in circular Quay sightseeing or going to the restaurants. I have a Wilson parking account and a swipe card linked to that account so I just tap at the entry barriers of the car park to get in and tap again later in the night to get out. The car park spirals down about six levels and then spirals back up again to the exit barriers and even on the busiest night I have never had to go down further than level 4 to find car parking within a short distance of the exit. However, I don't know how full the carpark gets during Vivid. One ongoing problem is that there are three lifts accessing the car park and since at least late last year one of these lifts has been out of order. I think we are now waiting for it to be completely replaced by a new lift so I hope that happens soon
Used this Wilson Parking today, prebooked online. So, I knew the price when I booked. I parked for nearly 6 hrs, and could stay longer until late evening. Compared to public transport fare for 4 of us, this is a fair price (flat rate $36 in total) to pay. Entry and Exit is easy as many other Wilson Parking I used around Sydney. The car parking spiraled down to from level 1 to level 6 then went back up to level 5, level 4, ... In fact the 'Up' levels are interleaved between 'Down' levels. Short stairs to go up or down to 3 (reasonably large) lifts of corresponding parking level. Lifts are clean. Parking space is easy to park. Entrance clearance is 2.2m. There are a few DIY Pay Stations on the way out to Opera House.
Went to the opening of the Opera House last night to hear an outstanding performance of Mahler The evening was totally spoilt by Wilson Parking facilities with not a human from their company to be seen anywhere. The entry was blocked off with 1 car lane on entry only, once in none of the ticket machines working with people lined up everywhere trying to get the machines to work and if that wasn't bad enough, we were stuck in the car park for 1½ hours while Wilson tried to get their act together; there would have been 300-400 cars not moving for over an hour with lots of carbon monoxide exhausts What a poor ending after a brilliant performance Wilson should get their act together rather than just collecting cash
What a joke of this car park at 29 October 2022 evening around 7 pm. This car park was choke of block that night we enter the car park with the big queue and stuck in around one hour in the end have to get out to find parking somewhere else because of Wilson parking misleading control despite widget board car park ticket online prior day! We missed the event in the Opera house which we bought the ticket . Why didn’t have electronic ticket control so you could be sure there is car park for the cars? It was seems to be people stuck inside the car park which was six story down, Very upsetting with the responsible authority letting people down.I will be Asking refund of my prepurchase car park ticket.
Well located for access to Opera House, etc. However, the online parking reservation system doesn't ensure you have a park available. Even if you paid for a space a week in advance, you may drive into town and find there is no park available. Very inconvenient. Then you have to deal with Wilson's client query form, delays, and customer service staff. It's a good advertisement for public transport. Wilson should improve their car park management processes. Bunnings and Westfield have impressive parking tech. You'd think a specialist car-park operator like Wilson Parking would be years ahead of a shopping centre operator.
bad on so many fronts 1) no wheelchair access to lifts in normal floors, only in top floor 2) there are two levels in each floor which isn't displayed at all ,had major problems and anxiety if car was stolen as I couldn't find it in 4th floor but I was on 4th lower not on upper Very limited signage Further as it's marketed as optimum parking for Opera house, there's no wheelchair access from the parking ground level to Opera house This is illegal on many fronts This parking is a blatant violation of all building rules in broad daylight and this is in the heart of Sydney Very very disappointed !!!!!
It's pretty self explanatory, if you want to be on the side of the opera house, this winding spiralling car park a billion levels deep will get you there. I actually took the family there on the weekend and it's quite a cheap all day rate. During the week, well that's another story (very expensive) i must of paid 40 or 50 dollars for a few hours. (don't quote me). The good thing is that each level has a bunch of elevators so your not walking miles from your car. Like i said right near the Opera house, close to ferries and expensive Cafes, ice cream places. Enjoy
At the heart of the city and at a very important location. If you are visiting Opera House, especially during peak time, other car park options around the place are really difficult. This place is conveniently under the Opera Hiuse area. It is a bit expensive, but safe and convenient. If you are exploring around places, park here for the whole day and explore around places. There are no steep ramps to go to different floors. They are in a spiral, you don't realise that you are descending to into different floor while looking for a free spot.
Clean and available parking space in the city that offers early bird day rates at a fairly reasonable price. The layout can be confusing in its spiral fashion but is easy enough to navigate, as long as you remember the level you parked at. Conveniently located at the Opera House and walking distance from Circular Quay. Update: came back to my car one day after work and it was completely smashed. Attempted to get footage to no avail. Absolutely useless. Left with a $4500 repair bill all cause these guys can't answer there emails or phones.
Very convenient location. But a dreadful design for exiting. We attended a performance that ended at 9.45pm but were stuck in the parking for hours. We live 20 minutes drive away and did not get home until 12:30! There is only one lane for entry and one for exit, and everyone backing out on higher floors blocks people on lower floors from exiting. The Opera House loves to call itself world class but this is certainly not. The next renovation should be to do some work to make this structure fit for purpose.
Something close to what purgatory must feel like. It's about 45 degrees down there on a 25 degree day. If you have poor health or struggle to cope in the heat, avoid at all costs! Takes 20-30 minutes to get out of this carpark. Hugely negligent of Wilson to not properly ventilate this space (and then charge people for the privilege of using it??). A disaster waiting to happen. And there's no phone reception! So if someone did faint down there, there'd be no way to get them help quickly.
Terrible experience here, the parking was absolutely a joke. They have signs saying how many vacancies parking but you have to drive around all the levels to actually find a park and there were very few close parks to or near the ground level . Also terrible set out and marked so you will feel like your in a maze like at throngszoo without the ride but just a bloody joke and we'll worth finding somewhere normal and less full of shivers to park,I give them a 1 star as there's no minus
Taking the location into consideration, this carpark has a terrible design that only has one way in and one way out. You would expect many people to come in and out at once and this kind of model will just create a giant traffic queue. I was here for a concert at the Opera house and it took us nearly 1 hour to get out of this carpark. Recommendations 1. Avoid visiting this place during a concert 2. Go somewhere else to park then walk to the opera house 3. Just don't come at all
Great car park in Circular Quay. Open 24 hours and very afforable rates. Best to book in advance (at least 30 min before you enter the carpark). Their app is also easy to use. If book in advance, don't take a ticket when you enter the carpark but tap the Credit Card you use to book instead. The gate will open for you. Best view of the Opera House & Harbour Bridge is waiting for you when you exit the car park. Staff are super helpful, too. Thank you!
Prices are better than most city car parks, but using the app doesn't really come out cheaper most of the time. Cheeky surcharge for debit card payments. Maintenance is absolutely abysmal, broken lifts and damaged hand rails, EV chargers not working for months, boom gates damaged every second week. Lack of LPR is really odd these days seeing as though the setup is there. A year later and still nothing has changed.
Seems to be the best place to park during the week and weekends too especially when you find no parking space anywhere in the city. The parking bays are wide enough with good space between the bays and that helps out quite a bit. On weekends, finding empty parking bays close to the exits can be a bit of a hassle but nevertheless you always get a parking spot. Clean and well maintained.
I went to an event and was stuck waiting over an hour to exit. Why?! They had only 1 ramp open and 2 closed! What an absolute joke! When I wrote to them requesting a review and refund they declined! Surely if you know its a long weekend and also a big show is happening you would have all 3 ramps open! Disgusted! Will definitely look for parking elsewhere next time!
Just to book a parking online, all these personal data are being retained from Wilson Parking: Name Surname, Email, Credit Card, Home address, Mobile number, Licence plate. I am "lucky" they didn't ask for my first pet's name, mother's maiden name, my foot size, and blood results. Then these companies blame the hackers when data breaches occur.
Horribly misleading fees! Sign says “Weekend $16 Flat Rate” as you drive in, but the fine print is that the so-called “flat rate” is not a flat rate at all, but ends at 5pm and if you leave after 5pm you will be charged FORTY DOLLARS ($40) instead of $16!!! Disgracefully misleading, the signs need to be changed to reflect the real prices!!!
Pricey.. yes, but not that much different to any city parking esp if rushing for the evening performance after work. Flat evening rate, so close to Syd Opera House. Quirky but lovely circular car park. Surprisingly spacious! 2 lifts from recollection (cld be 3) but was not too long to wait. Dont think it has direct access to venue though.
Great location! We regularly prebook day rate parking and arrive early to enjoy the city for the day Always feels safe and well maintained. Love to take the family and park here - Enjoy a post commute coffee right there at the opera bar. So easy to zip back onto the M1 it’s just a couple of left turns ✅
Parking i very nice, also the location is very good, if you Follow the number its very easy to find your car. Yes weekdays its expensive but weekends very good. N cheap. Anyway this is a very good parking if you want to go there with family in weekend to see, Opera house, Circular que, Harbour bridge and Macquarie chair.
If there is a concert on at the Opera House. Good luck getting a carpark in here. Wasted an hour and a half trying to find a spot only to end at the lowest level having no where else to go but exit out. Missing most of the concert. Why wouldn't there be someone at the door letting people know the carpark is full??
We come here to see ballet and orchestras often on a Saturday night, we often get stuck In the car park for 1-2 hours after the show because the exit gate only allows 2 out at a time and very slowly. Such a shame that there is no alternative and Wilson hasn’t invested to make the car park more efficient.
Coolest carpark eva.. & deepest in the world they say. Built in a double hylix configuration. Unfortunately it costs an arm & a leg 2 park ther but its well worth it, knowing ur car is deep in the bowels of the earth safe as a kitten & to b as old as it is its still in very good shape•••
Plenty of parking for the great location under the opera house. Can be pricy but depends when you park. Has signage, bathrooms nearby and a bar. Has great access to the opera house and views of the city, harbour bridge and river. There are also electric vehicle charging ports for Porsche cars.
Sydney Roads.... Captured Busy Morning rush on my apple iphone in time lapse mode...traffic at peak 8.30am. Discipline four wheeler divers | Never heard a horn in my entire 17 days trip to Australia Wish We too learn this discipline and implement in India too....
Forget cruise parking unless you want to stress out and miss your cruise. Despite booking weeks in advance online we drove around for 60min and still no park so had to decide to bail and find alternative parking which was fun (NOT!) just got on cruise with minutes to spar
Easy to get parking in non-peak hours. Caution we booked flexi online for flat charges. After few days credit card was again charged further double amount with no booking history or charges. Report to bank seems their boom gate checkout machine has been compromised.
Brilliant Parking Lot. Superb location! Getting there can be an issue, prices are really dear. For all the rookies such as myself, don't forget to cut through the middle towards "the exit" to look for parks. We went during VIVID and there were so many parks!!
Great location!! Was there last night and the lifts stopped working so we had to use the stairs 5 flights + with walking difficulties is extremely hard. Getting out of the carpark at 10.30pm was disgusting took about 40 mins to get out of the stuffy place.
Not expensive at all, if you consider you have a date, perfect location. Enjoy your dinner and see entire opera house. Love it. Amazing. 35bucks weekend night ratevis reasonable. So bring your hard earn money n enjoy the service. Fall in love in Sydney.
Very convenient location to park your car. It is safe and secure. We parked here for 3 days when we went on a cruise. Special thanks to management team to refund the cost since I swiped a different card than on the online booking.
Right under opera bar this parking is perfect for Sydney’s both iconic places, harbour bridge and opera house. It has enough parking spots and it does have an early bird option which is cheaper than regular hourly rate.
A strangely designed car park. Avoid parking as soon as you enter. There is a tunnel further down linking the carpark to the opera bar area. Parking close to this tunnel is the best location. Best deal is after 5pm
Best parking location to visit the Opera House. The car park has 6 basement levels. Lifts to come up can be bit busy. It was $40 on Saturday evening. Parking bays are limited later in the evening (say 7:00pm).
I love this parking. As u just park there and spend all your time at Opera house. This is the best parking available around Opera. I took my parents and had no issues using a wheel chair though out.
Worst parking traffic jam can't get moving stay in one area for more than an hour and still waiting.poor managment and no assistance very hot in the car par.high rates charged and poor service.
Just a concrete hole in the ground. Didn't see any staff. Okbut nothing special. The prebooking/payment is agood system. Wouldn't want to have to park there during the week! $$$$$$$$$$
Parking under opera house and easy walk up to the scenic most visited place. Book online as it's cheaper and if staying longer than booked time the amount will be deducted after exit.
Great area if you are planing to visit the opera house .. but it s kinda expensive as one hours is 19$ so you need to calculate your visit , and you can park for 3 hours maximum
What a spot to park! And for a very affordable day price too, I might add! Bit of a crawl into the depths of the cork screwed car park to find a spot, but certainly worth it.
A well thought out carpark which makes sense in terms of flow. Visited on a Saturday and there was plenty of parking at a reasonable price of $16 if you exited before 5pm.
Needed to get to the Opera House and surrounding areas. Parking here was super convenient. If you can book online and save some $s. It also makes entry and exit easier.
If I didn't hate Wilson Parking enough already, arrive after 5pm and get stung $40 for 'overnight' parking. Absolutely disgusting con from a disgusting company.
Easy to find parking in the heart of the city, easy to access. Clean and tidy, great for people who have a disability and parents who have babies …
Best parking spot if you want to be doing things in the circular Quay, opera house, view of the harbour bridge, opera bar and a few dining options
Never had a cheaper parking space in Sydney. I paid (weekend deal) 7 AUD for 11 hours parking. It's only 20 minutes walk to the harbour bridge
Perfect location. But I couldn’t find a ramp access for wheelchair or prams in the parking levels. Maybe I need to look harder next time.
Well organised. Buy a ticket on online is a great idea. Always easy to fine a spot but complicate to get out. Easy to go to opera house.
Please prebook or at least pay for parking before you get to the exit so we can avoid the 30 minute wait to get out after a concert.
Misleading signage after entering on the weekend I was charged $40 not not $20 the flat rate of $20. Avoid park elsewhere.
Long wait on lift if you park level 6 but other than been over priced its a car park in middle of city …
Lots of stops and easy to navigate but takes an incredible amount of time to drive up the spiral
Perfect parking place for Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge view from Circular Quay side.
Affordable parking on weekends, especially if you pre-book online. Great location.
The Opera House is very beautiful, with a view of a beautiful sunset. Perfect!
