I have to give a star to give a review, but prefer to give it minus 5 stars. I've never been so humiliated. I went to Hobart to do Christmas shopping and decided to look for new shoes. I found what I liked and went to pay for it with my card. The young man serving me asked if I wanted to become a member. I gave him my details, and he said the computer was slow and had played up all morning. When it came to payment by EFTPOS, the machine said approved, his computer said approved and straight away said declined. I was told I couldn't have the shoes because he didn't know if the payyeas done. I was told to go to my bank to check if the money had been taken out of my account. I did, but being lunchtime, the bank only had limited staff on, and I had to wait an hour for someone to give me a printout as proof that it was taken out of my account. Going back to the shop and showing that I had paid for them, I was told I still couldn't have them, he had to do a phone call first. I became extremely frustrated and upset. As everything was played out in the shop with other customers. When he finished his phone call I said to him I'm going. I was again told I couldn't go, he had to call the area manager. He was talking to her then gave the phone to me. I was told they give me a refund and then I can pay for them again.needles to say, I had my refund, but told them they can keep their shoes. Somehow the girl working there didn't seem to have a problem with their computer and did plenty of transactions while I was there. 2 Hours later I walked out of the shop in tears. Frustrated and humiliated. I will never set foot in that shop again. It was clear that the young man that was serving me was not allowed to make decisions and was doing what he was told. He had 3 phone calls to his superiors. I simply can not understand that I was treated this way, while the problem was on their side. There are plenty of other shoe shops who'll be happy to take my money

Terrible customer service. We went into the store on a Sunday with two staff on. We were in the store for at least 5 minutes with no staff in sight. Finally saw one staff member walking around in such a daze like we were invisible to her, no interest to ask if we needed help. Finally the other staff member became available and we asked for some shoe sizes for my daughter. He went out the back and we must have waited almost 10 minutes. The other staff member still could not be bothered talking to us. I eventually asked her if she could tell him we had to go and don't worry about the shoes. He came out and said he "couldn't find them". We walked out shaking our heads. How does this business make any profits with useless staff members like this, especially on a Sunday!

Very bad service here. This is my second time here as I am not living in Hobart. The staff who service us seem like not interested to talk to us. I asked for the shoes size for my partner because I am not sure the size of her, the staff face like we are bothering her. After rush to service my partner she took the shoes to the counter even not asking us do we need anything else? Yes I wanna buy a pair for myself too. I picked the shoes and chase to her and tell her what size I am having. Saved her time I think, the whole service just took 5minutes I think. Fine, I just wanna take our shoes and leave as soon as possible. Very bad experience here and no more thank you.

My husband went into the store today (Friday 9 July) a staff member asked if he was ok….he said he wanted the shoes he chose in size 11 - the staff member said is that UK or USA size? He said Australian size 11 . She then told him they only do USA or UK sizes. He said “ but you’re a shoe store, can you do the conversion?” She said “ No we can’t do that”. So he walked out and went and bought shoes from Williams. Terrible Terrible service!! She could have converted the size for him, or at least offered to measure his feet too work out his size! After all - it’s a shoe store! She was very unhelpful and unfazed she lost a sale!

Very bad customer service! There is a lady server who is visibly rude and appears to be frustrated. No curtsy whatsoever after we made our purchase and was neither interested to provide information for members. Skechers, similar reviews have been posted about that one lady server, and seems like still there has been no action. We have travelled in other parts of the world and have amazing experience at Skechers, but this is urging me to go look for other options!

Terrible customer service. It seemed as though it was an issue to ask for a size to try on. I asked for my size and was told to just try the display on. However the display shoe was a right footed shoe and my left foot is bigger. Also when shopping for shoes in a physical store I prefer to try both on. The box of shoes was then slammed on the table behind me. After trying on the shoes we left and I brought the same shoes at a different Hobart store.

Terrible customer service. Sketchers is THE brand of shoes I feel most comfortable wearing, but unfortunately the only store in my city just can't seem to get it right with the customer service. Tried to go there twice this month, and the consultants were either rude or so laid back and lazy to work with me, I didn't end up buying anything even though I really need a pair of shoes. Disappointed ☹️

Bought a kids shoe for $160. A week in, the laces start to fray - the plastic bits are gone and the ends are fraying. The shop assistant (South Asian looking) couldn't care less when asked for replacement laces. He had the gall to suggest I buy new laces from BigW. If that's the case, then maybe Skechers can do an Apple and start selling shoes without laces. Never again!

Omg! Why does this place have less ratings! Jess & Que were absolutely wonderful, helpful & kind even when I entered the shop at 5:10 pm with the shop closing at 5:30 pm! Did Not rush me at all & I surely got a Lavender sketchers shoes ! Thank you both of you! Keep up your lovely smile & your good work !!

Service deplorable, Asked the asian girl what aus size 8 is US and she said its a 8 US , the same . I then checked on phone and its 9 US . She wouldn't come near me after I corrected her . Why hire people who lie to customers if they don't know . Never going back in there

I must have had the words “Help Me” across my forehead. As soon as I walked in the staff were so helpful. I needed shoes for my daughter and I had no clue. The two girls, Jess & Kat there was great! What a great experience here. I highly recommend this place!

Just three customers in the store, including me. But I wait there over 20 mins but no one come to serve me. You got 2 guys in there and I just need ask a smaller size of the shoes, may you just one come by to ask it, it takes 30 sec.

I went in on Friday, was served by Q. Very friendly, very helpful. Shoes were not in stock in store so Q organised delivery to my house. Arrived first thing Monday morning!!! Amazing:)

We took a pair of $80 shoes back because the zip didn’t last a year and they weren’t covered under warranty - it’s only 6 months for the zip (?!). I don’t recommend the kids shoes.
