Louie and his team are the main reason my 15-year old Mazda Protege5 is still on the road. This is generally a reliable car, and I'm always on top of routine maintenance (done by Strong), but as the car is aging, obviously there's more stuff that breaks. I have found Strong Automotive to always be highly professional and trustworthy. They point out parts that are close to failure, but never suggest unnecessary repairs. Their prices are reasonable and service has always been great with very convenient hours. What I really appreciate is that they will keep working with you on stubborn issues. My latest issue was a parking brake that wasn't working and in the end it took numerous caliper changes and cable replacements to get it fixed. The numerous changes were no fault of Strong Automotive, it was the parts that weren't holding up, but they kept at it and didn't charge me extra, even though it was only the part that was warrantied (not labour). It is now finally fixed and working perfectly. In the past they have replaced my struts and springs, various belts, control arms, brake pads and rotors, strut mounts, some exhaust parts and a water pump. That water pump was a concern, because I thought it could be the head gasket. A dishonest mechanic could have taken advantage and made it into a big repair job, but they quickly figured out that it was the water pump and got me on my way. It's amazing to have a good, honest mechanic right in our neighbourhood and I will continue to use them for years to come.

Terrible experience at this place. I took my 2018 car to get a Safety Standards Certificate and was told the rotors were rusted and had to be changed otherwise the certificate could not be issued. Needless to say I did not allow them to change the rotors but instead took the car and disassembled it over the weekend and thoroughly cleaned both rear rotors with brake cleaner and removed any sign of rust so I could take it back and get my certificate issued. I asked him if I brought it back with clean rotors I would get my certificate and the answer was yes. I took the car back and he refused to issue my certificate and proceeded to say the rust was on the inside and he had no time or space to look at my car. Needless to say, I had already been charged for the certificate. The funny thing is, I took my car to another certified MTO shop right after leaving Strong Automotive and was issued the Safety Standards Certificate with no issue!! Beware of this place, they will try to scam you especially if you are a woman (I just read other reviews claiming similar situations with women). I am a Mechanical Engineer and know what I am talking about, maybe the terminology I used is not perfect as English is not my first language but this place should be avoided. I will also be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

My family and I have been bringing our vehicles to Strong Automotive for over 20 years. Without exception, they have been courteous and prompt at every turn. I have come to expect an incredibly high level of quality and consistency in their repairs, but most importantly, I have come to trust their standards and pricing without question. Five different vehicles over the course of 20 years and we have never encountered a mistake or felt overcharged. No one really enjoys paying for auto repairs, but its a good feeling when you trust that you're getting high-quality results for an honest and fair price.

My friend and I brought a car in with a nail in her tire looking to get it plugged. These guys told us the tire was unrepairable and that we'd have to buy a new tire worth $300 to $400. We left and got a second opinion, they pulled out the nail (which hadn't even punctured the tire) and the tire was fine didn't even need a plug. They thought they could scam us into buying something we didn't even need just because we were 2 females who they assumed didn't know enough to get a second opinion. If you're female and going alone do NOT trust these guys. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Went to this place to get safety standard certificate. They refused to pass the inspection because of the very small windshield chip that has already been repaired. I could understand if these guys told me at the first place when they saw my car , not like let me drop off the car for couple hours and tell me they cannot pass it,and still charge me for the inspection. I you want to get the certificate, they want to you spend thousands bucks to replace the whole windshield. This is how these guys want to SCAM the customers!! Horrible place

They seem very unprofessional and a complete rip off. I had to wait 3 weeks to book an appointment with them to swap my tires which are already on rim. In the phone call they told me they charge $55+Tax but later when I did the service they charged me $70+tax which is exact same as Canadian Tire and I could have got the service sooner. When I told them that I was told over phone it was $55+Tax, they completely declined and said nope, it is not. Anywho, not going there anymore to get charged as Canadian Tire with 3 weeks wait time.

I did the Safety check here for my Car and Louie gave the appointment and ensured everything was completed as per the timings he promised. He has a great knowledge and very good patience, as I moved from USA I had lot of questions he politely answered all of them. I was amazed to see his knowledge, he does everything to perfection and has the best team there. This is surely a place where I will refer everyone if your Car needs to be well taken care of. Be careful when you go to this place. Make sure you ask beforehand exactly what the pricing is for any service. I was quoted $110 for an off-rim tire change but then AFTER they completed the change they told me that it actually was $136 because my car is "European", whatever that means, even though they saw right from the beginning, even before the change, that I had a European car. So ask them exactly what it will cost for a service before hand otherwise they stick it to you and scam you

Louie and his team did a Pre Purchase Inspection of a used Mazda CX-5 for us. I was first very impressed with the pleasant phone experience when I called and explained that I wanted the car checked over to see if it was all okay to possibly purchase. This was done at the agreed upon time, a phone call was received and details given very clearly and understandably. I was very impressed with the details that he noticed that could be touched up or repaired. Thanks Louie!

I would highly recommend Strong Automotive. I have finally found a mechanic who is honest, helpful and knowledgeable. I had a car problem yesterday which required immediate attention. The staff at Strong Automotive quickly assessed the problem, provided a solution, estimated time and cost, and arranged a rental vehicle for me. They took the stress out of a stressful situation. The best part? The final cost was less than the estimated, agreed-upon cost!! How honest!

Had a safety inspection done for car registration. Pretty straightforward but I have a difficult schedule and they make it easy with after hours drop off if needed. Main guy there (maybe he is the owner) seems really busy, but has time/patience to explain things. Safety inspection price was also slightly cheaper than most other places. Also no mechanic grease etc left behind in my car, which happened to me at other places. 10/10 will be back for future work.

Best Service Ever! First time I went ask them to check my brakes , I was told they were still good and didn't need to change them. Anywhere else would have change them regardless and charged me. Second time dropped of my car because it was having over heating issue, he top off my coolant and check everything. I walked in and he said no charge. It made my day! I can't say you'll have the same experience but this place has very honest and good people.

They fixed my air suspension for my BMW X5. It works now!!!!! I spent a fraction of the cost to replace. Only took these guys 1 hour!!!!!!!! These guys are honest, and highly efficient. If I could give 10 stars, I would. 2021 Update: So BMW said my air suspensions were actually ruptured. So I had to replace them. O wells. I still give 5 stars to Strong Automotive though. They did everything I asked.

We've had a great experience here over the last 4 years - honest pricing & excellent work done in good time. Today we took the car in to have the oil changed and the front brakes done. Louie just cleaned up the brakes instead and only charged for the oil change - saving us $250. We're very pleased with their service and would recommend them to anyone!

NEVER EVER GO THERE!!. These guys will rip you off. I went there for an oil change and they broke my Oil Filter Housing using their tools and they charged me for it ($65). It was their mistake and i had to pay for it because they cannot do a simple oil change!!!.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!

Some staff are nice and friendly. But I have noticed when they fix one thing then break another thing, they won’t take the blame for it. It is always the owner’s fault. I find that quite dishonest and simply not the right. I guess some mechanics’ have this reputation!

I wasn't able to remove a valve cap from a tire so I thought I'd try Strong for the first time. They weren't able to get it off either, so they ended up having to replace the stem. But they provided a very fast, friendly, and affordable service... much appreciated!
