We were visiting New Orleans from lafayette and decided to extend our trip an extra day but all of our clothes were worn and dirty so once we decided to stay the extra day my search started for a laundry service that was open and would possibly offer delivery back to our hotel on MEMORIAL DAY. I was able to drop the clothes off (in the dirty laundry bags supplied by the hotel) around 1 o clock in the afternoon and had my clothes delivered back to me like this! I explained the situation to them and she completely understood and she worked with me to make sure I was extremely well taken care of! Super polite group of people and even made the effort to interact with my children! She even gave me a couple of laundry tips I was unaware of and assured me that she would take care of me! I can’t boast about this business more! Will definitely be a returning customer!
I am a retired NY senior, married to a Katrina 2005 survivor. We live in the French Quarter and the washer dryer in our apt? A tinker toy..So, I went in search of a laundromat that was close by and kept hearing about this great place, and the lady named Dinah who is The Laundry Queen. I was not disappointed. Dinah received us like old friends. She was cute, amiable and very on the case. She gave me a little tutorial on how to use the machines; then gave me change to do my clothes. The place was immaculate. Chatted with her, and met a woman visiting from Australia who needed a last minute wash for her clothes before packing and heading back Down Under. People walked in and out the whole time - it was just a very cool vibe. Don't miss this lovely little local place!! Highly recommend.
Hate to do this, I know others have good experiences here but it was so frustrating to do my own laundry in this place. They were using almost all the dryers for their wash & fold service and got snippy when I tried to use a table briefly to separate my clothes. The manager also hung over me and got short with me for not noticing a hand-written sign somewhere about not washing shoes (it was my first visit). I'm not going to be back, she won't have to worry about it happening again. Add to that the amount of griping and trash talk she was spewing on other customers (some of it fat shaming them in front of strangers) and it's just too much. I really wish someone, anyone, would put a decent laundromat anywhere near the French Quarter.
Went in on vacation in the hopes of drying some clothes after getting caught in a rainstorm. Was immediately told that we were not allowed to put "dirty clothes in her washer" and could not dry our shoes either. While this is a perfectly reasonable request and one which I respect as a fellow customer service worker and employee of a small business the manner in which the owner informed us of these policies was the rudest and most aggressive that we had experienced. We had no way of knowing this policy prior and were simply trying to dry some clothes. Again I have no issue with the request itself, I am upset with the rudeness in which she addressed us.
I live on the road, and the place I was staying for a month didn’t have a washer and dryer, so rather than buying all brand new laundry supplies and going to a coin op, I tried Suds Dem Duds and I’m so glad I did! Dinah (and friends) was such a treat. She was able to process my laundry same day both times for a fair price. I’m a little high maintenance about my laundry too ha. Both times, the laundry was neatly folded and matched up in a perfect cube, wrapped in plastic, with little ribbons on top. Our little chats before and after were great too. If I had kids, I’d trust Dinah with them lol
I rarely review laundries, but this one is different. The lady that runs the laundry provided the best laundry service I have ever had. Running short of time on a brief visit to New Orleans, I had a few 4kg of laundry that needed to be done - when there was no suitable hotel laundry. So my wife and I took the laundry to Suds Dem Duds in the quieter part of Bourbon Street. She organised a complete laundry, folding and delivery to our hotel - all done within 24 hours and at what we thought was a realistic price. So if you are looking for an excellent laundry service then try out Suds Dem Duds.
Yesterday, I went to Suds Dem Duds to get some laundry done. They were all booked up for the day to do a fluff and fold for me so I just used the coin machines and did it myself and I'm glad I did. The people there are so nice, it was worth taking the time to do laundry and talk to them. The lady went out of her way to help me with my cell phone problem. They even provided soap for me! I have never been to a coin laundry that has gone that far. I don't do a lot of reviews on Yelp but this place certainly earned it along with a five star rating. Great people and great service!
Needed to do a quick wash, no dry, and got turned away from another laundry because 45 minutes wasn’t enough time in case their washers broke. Walked in, Dinah was immediately welcomed, directed to the free laundry soap and invited to chill. Sang along to Maroon 5, got to pet a corgi from around the corner who stopped by for a treat, was given a free bottle of water while I waited and offered cookies. It’s weird to say that laundry washing was the highlight of my New Orleans trip, but it really was. Highly recommend.
We just arrived from a Carnival cruise and had some dirty/used clothing from our trip. We were staying at the Four Points & looking for a place to do laundry. Suds Dem Duds had great reviews & it was conveniently located about 6 blocks away. We walked past it while exploring & went inside & spoke with Dinah. She was great to deal with and informed us she picks up and delivers to the Four Points. We headed back got our laundry ready, it was picked up, & delivered back to us same day. Thank you Dinah & Staff!
Did my laundry here with my mom, and Dinah was super sweet when we walked in, and let us know how to use her washers and dryers. She was very friendly and talkative, even let us choose out the music she played. The best part out of the whole experience is seeing how much she cared about her regulars and her community. She knew who her regulars were as people, not just a name. It was a very clean place, and she made it feel like a small town laundromat. Would visit again if I didn't live 10 hrs away
A++ Super clean, affordable, and welcoming in a safe and convenient location, with an amazing staff/owner (efficient AND friendly). I highly recommend Suds Dem Duds. They offer a very affordable wash/dry/fold service (approx.$4/pd) or, if you prefer self-service, coin-operated washer and dryers are available. Cost varies (depending on machine capacity, load size, settings and preferences, etc.) but to estimate, typical load is about $4/wash and $5/dry. Amazingly, detergent and dryer sheets are free.
Dinah is warm, friendly, and very efficient :) We dropped some clothes off for her wash, dry, and fold service while we were on vacation. Dinah even asked about allergies to detergents, which I'm glad she did since I'm allergic to most of them. Everything was delivered back to our hotel that evening clean and folded REALLY nicely. Knowing Dinah's wonderful business was only a few blocks from our hotel made it so I only had to pack half as much clothing as we needed for our 11 day trip.
This is a gem of a laundromat! Dinah is super welcoming, the place is super clean, the machines are new and work great, and they even offer free detergent… what’s not to love?? This place was recommended by my hotel and I passed others on my way there, but it was totally worth the extra few blocks. It would be great if there was more room to sit and work while you wait, but there’s a cute cafe down the street (La Croissant d’Or) that fits the bill nicely. I’ll definitely be back here!
Had a last minute drop off. The host was super friendly and nice. She offered an amazing service and had options for environmentally protective cleaning products and those that won’t damage your clothes. Also offers a drop off service which is great when you don’t have time to get back and grab your washing from her direct. Clothes were clean and extremely well folded on arrival. Would definitely use on the next trip to NOLA.
Dinah was very helpful, detergent is free even though I brought my own. Facilities are clean and machines are in excellent working condition at fair prices. Plenty of room to organize clothes. If you wait, good music plays in background, or you can hold conversation with Dinah and other people inside or not, it's up to you. You forget you are on bourbon street while you do laundry, very pleasant experience.
We came with our son and his wife to do their laundry after getting off the cruise ship. So we met Dinah and she had a very clean place with great prices and music. She also takes in laundry and does it for customers. She was very meticulous in folding the clothes and was the sweetest person. You will absolutely fall in love with her. She also takes in dry cleaning! Go see her you will love her!
Came here to get a wash and fold from the recommendations of others and they did not disappoint. Thank you so much Dinah for the conversation and care taken with our clothes. You did an amazing job and it was lovely to meet someone that also hates ironing. If you need your clothes cared for with love, I highly recommend Dinah and would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks so much :)
Mrs. D is amazing! She's very friendly and professional. The laundry mat was clean and you have the option of washing your own stuff or use the laundry service for a small additional fee. The prices of the machines are a reasonable price. I used this place on vacation before starting a week long cruise. I definitely would recommend them. I'll use them again when in town.
Suds Dem Duds is such a welcome business in the French Quarter! After four days of walking through New Orleans on my vacation, my clothes smelled aweful. I looked up laundry services in the French Quarter and was surprised to find Suds Dem Duds. Dinah washed and folded my clothes, and I was able to pick them up the same day! Now, my clothes are fresh and clean again!
Fabulous! I am SO glad we found this place!! After 5 days of our road trip adventure, we needed a laundry stop and Dinah was so easy to work with and super friendly. We were able to drop our laundry off and when she was done the laundry was delivered to our hotel, folded and bagged. We received a text when it was delivered. I highly recommend her laundry services!!!
The most amazing laundromat I have ever encountered (and I travel ALOT). The owner is super nice, and always has extra detergent if you forget. The place is super clean and is used by both locals and tourists. The washers are super effective and the dryers are STRONG. Like a full load completely dry in 20-25 mins. Definitely visit suds dem duds when you are in NOLA.
Excellent service at a very fair price. This is an honest and well-run business. Coming here saved me a lot of money as opposed to using the hotel laundry service which would have cost 10x what I paid here. My clothes were given back to me clean, unwrinkled, and folded meticulously. And same day service if you arrive early enough. Wish I could give her more stars.
Not far from hotel where we are staying. With the amount of travelling we are doing it's important we have somewhere we can do laundry and not too pricey per load. Because of locations we haven't washed for almost 2 weeks. The machines here are large enough for us to do one load price is great. You can use your own detergent and Diah is great and so helpful
Dinah, you are an absolute gem! ‘Suds dem duds‘ was just around the corner from our hotel and it was a delight to use the machines. All spotless, very organised and easy to use. Dinah made the visit a highlight with her conversation, friendliness and personal contact with existing and new customers. Thank you Dinah, love from the Aussie duo ❤️
Not too bad a little busy when we were there. You can wash and dry your own clothes but you're not allowed to fold them there right now, as they are trying to help emergency workers and have limited space. They do offer a wash service though $3.50 a pound. Over all our experience was a pleasant one, would completely recommend.
This is the only laundromat in the Quarter that I'll go. Prices are perfect and Dina is great! If you don't have detergent or dryer sheets, she'll only charge 25 cents each! The patrons that come here are very nice also! EDIT: You need to bring your own detergent and fabric softener. Still the only place I'll do laundry
Wonderful service! Dropped off a week’s worth of my travel clothes in morning — got them back freshly laundered and delivered to my hotel by late afternoon. $30 for 10 lbs. (included return delivery.) Much less than hotel rate of $5 for single blouse. Came neatly folded, wrapped with a ribbon . Thanks Dinah! …
First off, I love Dinha ! I look forward to doing my laundry so I can mingle with her. She runs this place well and is so helpful and welcoming. What a gem of a place. It is untra clean and there is art on the wall that is beautiful. Dinah is so helpful and funny. Also, there is always great music playing here.
I called for laundry service this morning around 10:30 and asked for same day service AND pick up and delivery. Thinking it wasn’t going to happen, the owner, Dinah, was amazing! She picked my laundry from my hotel at 11:30 and dropped them back off at 2:30! What?!? Amazing! I wish I had one of these back home!
On holiday, popped in with mid travel pile of washing to be done- delightful service, washing done well and quickly- am wearing some now! I found it funny to be told, almost suspiciously, that didn't need my jumper washing for New Orleans, but it was accepted when I pointed out I needed it for return to UK.
Can highly recommend this laundry. We chose to wash our own clothes. Clean and tidy. Change was available, got great tips about drying as well as friendly conversation and good music. PS we were the old Australian couple that enjoyed Kansas and Steely Dan and German recommendation from the young man.
Safe, easy, and perfect location! Owner is on-site and manages all transactions, which is awesome. She’ll swap out cash for coins and even provides free detergent! Just as important, I felt confident I could leave my clothes there while exploring the jazz bars only 3 blocks away. Perfect situation!
A great place to get your laundry done for you or do it yourself. If ever you were wanting to be welcomed into a caring, friendly and helpful place, while being most efficient, this is it. Makes me wish that I lived in this neighborhood. Dinah is an amazing example of beauty and love. Such a gem!!
Splendid! Thanks to Dinah, we have a lovely clean tower of clothes, all wrapped up with a ribbon like the gift it is. Took about 10 pounds of clothes in on Wednesday and got them back in less than 24 hours. Dinah also gave me options for detergent (unscented, etc). Appreciate that so much.
Went in after 9 days holidaying and only 1night in new Orleans. She was able to wash and fold 2 peoples luggage and deliver to our hotel within 3 hours. Price was on the mark with what I expected to. Owner was real friendly and nice. Definitely use this place with any washing
I really enjoyed my visit at this laundromat. The owner lady is super nice and welcoming, she has brand new machines which are super clean. Good vibes and not expensive. The other good reviews are true! Note to the owner: please reach out to me when you are ready to sell! :)
Will is the most helpful and friendly man. Came and picked up our laundry from the hotel and dropped it back washed, dry and folded so neatly nothing needs ironing. They only charge $2 per pound of laundry so our 4 bags came to $43. I paid him $60, his service was so good.
I dropped off a blanket and had it cleaned at a reasonable price here. It did not fit in my own washer and dryer. And they were very nice. Also dropped off my dry cleaning. There’s not a lot of parking but actually came out to the car and got the stuff when I called.
I read so much about the place and how sweet the lady was, it was the total opposite for me. Im a tourist so I got lost and reached there 8 mins before there last wash. She was rude and just not helpful. I asked for WiFi and she just didn't want to be helpful
Great place to do your laundry or drop off for the daily wash, dry & fold service. Clean and they provide laundry soap and dryer sheet. Great if you are travelling and need clean clothes. Highly recommend and I will be back during the remainder of our trip.
Very peaceful music and atmosphere, free soap and dryer sheets, the staff greeted me upon entering and gave useful advice on places of interest nearby, quietest washers and dryers I have ever seen, I am definitely coming back to this laundromat from now on.
Dropped a load of laundry and returned 2 hours later to find everything perfectly clean and folded beautifully. A delightful experience with clean smelling clothes. We were really happy with the quality of cleaning & folding of our garments. Recommend.
This is the place if you’re looking for a laundry service in the French Quarter. They will even bring it to your hotel when finished. Dinah is so sweet and such a pleasure to deal with. We’re so happy to give her our business, and you should, too!
Helpful, pleasant, happy staff with great greeting by Dinah and other customers. Dinah helped us with operating the machines and other cleaning/washing tips. They gave us plenty of hints about what to see and where to eat during our trip to NO.
Excellent place for French Quarter visitors who are in town for a while and need to do some laundry. The location is safe and convenient, the interior is clean, and the owner, Dinah, is guaranteed to give you a warm welcome. I highly recommend!
Great service here from Dinah who is a real character! The laundry service at the hotel was crazy expensive, but Dinah washed, dried and folded 9lbs of clothes for $26. She even wrapped them in a bag with ribbon around! Suds Dem Duds is great.
Dinah was amazing. We were able to go about our day of sightseeing while she did indeed ‘Suds our Duds.’ She packed up the little parcel neatly and everything is lovely and fresh. Thank you Dinah, best service in New Orleans. Great value too.
Dinah was fantastic! No one wants to do laundry on vacation, but sometimes it is unavoidable. Dinah made it easy with free soap and helpful directions to nearest (low fee) ATM. If you must use a credit card they will do the laundry for you!
After our washing machine decided to quit, we quickly discovered in these Covid days it’s not that easy to get a repair person. After the clean clothes were gone, and we were contemplating the feasibility of wearing our Mardi Gras costumes
My brother and I went to this place after i looked at the reviews. This its an amazing place and the owner is very sweet! She has been helpful and she has good prices if you want to drop off laundry. The owner, my bro, and I were watching
After spending two days in NOLA before getting on a cruise, we did not want to haul a lot of dirty clothes on the ship and pay for cleaning aboard. The EXTREMELY nice owner and her employee were happy to help us out, even though they were
I dropped in to get the wash/dry/fold service as I was running out of clean clothes. So glad I choose to go here. Dinah is super friendly and accommodating. Dinah also lets you choose your preferred type of detergent etc. My clean, dry
Even when on vacation, the laundry still needs to be taken care of. The lady who runs this facility is very friendly, provides free detergent, shows out of towners how the facility works. She provides everything that is required to get
Dinah is an absolute treat. She makes you feel absolutely welcomed, as if you were close family. If you pay for a wash and fold, she packs it like a neat little package. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!
Dinah is awesome - extremely welcoming and hosts an amazing selection of music. Laundry machines were clean and efficient. Had I had the time I would have taken advantage of her wash/dry/fold, but alas I’m a procrastinator.
I never thought a laundromat would be one of my favorite places in New Orleans! The staff is very warm and helpful. They offer free detergent (great for travellers) and they can exchange quarters for you. Highly recommend!
Best price on Bourbon. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Detergent is free with wash and dryer sheets are only 25 cents. Would DEFINITELY recommend doing laundry here if you are in the French Quarter!
What a nice lady and great service! I especially love how she wraps the clean clothes with a bow on top. It is fabulous. The price is fair. I used her service twice in my two week stay, and I would do it again.
We chose this laundromat based on the reviews. Dinah is very pleasant and helpful and takes so much care. If you are travelling like us, and staying in the French Quarter, this is place to go. Much appreciated.
Dinah is a very welcoming hostess. She has some of the finest Speed Queen coin-op laundry machines in New Orleans. Always a pleasant laundry day! I can't wait to make the Thursday night laundry parties, byob
Dina is a gem of the Quarter and Suds is the ONLY place for my laundering! Great machines, great prices, great music, amazing people, never too crowded, great corner for people watching, LOVE SUDS DEM DUDS!
Dropped off 6 pounds of laundry a little before noon, picked it up about three hours later perfectly washed, dried, folded, and bagged up for only $27. Great little place and a friendly owner. Thanks!
Excellent service and very friendly! The owner is amazing, and has great attention to detail. You can definitely count on her to do your laundry properly and return it clean and neatly folded.
Great service! Needed some laundry done after our cruise within walking distance of our hotel. What a great experience! Free soap and help from Dinah was very welcome. Great conversation!
Excellent and spotless laundromat. Price for washing machine starts at 4 dollars and dryers at 25cents per 3 minutes. Owner was super kind and helpful throughout the process. Bless her!
There are frontloaders. You can wash and dry your clothes yourself or they will do it for you. They give you detergent and dryer sheets. $4 for washer. Dryer was 25¢ per 3 minutes.
we were on vacation in New Orleans and needed laundry. We found that place from googlemaps. And i can not believe how an amazing service it is. they are so attentive and careful.
Owner was very rude, I would rather wash clothes in the vomit on the street. She wanted to sniff our underwear before we could continue with the service? Would not recommend.
We are on a long vacation and needed to wash clothes. This place is outstanding, clean, and well managed. You can't beat the price and Dinah is a badass sweet lady!
Thank you Dinah for a quality service that also included delivery back to our hotel! 1/10th of the price you’d pay at a hotel, and well washed and folded.
Dina is very nice and the wash came out great. Very timely service and well located in the French quarter. Pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommend!
Was surprised my hotel didn’t have a laundromat. So glad I found this place. It’s clean, organized, and the owner was so helpful! Highly recommend!
Very cool place! Very welcoming, Dinah is WONDERFUL! She’ll walk you through everything you need to do. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Excellent! Dropped off at 9 for wash dry and fold, got a text 3hrs later saying it was ready for pick up. Great service, well worth the money.
Extremely clean, good value and most of all the service is the best! A lovely lady runs this place with the best customer service …
Dinah was amazing with her customer service. The delivery was amazing. Thank you for making our laundry experience exceptional
Owner is a great lady. Had fun visiting with her while we cleaned our mess from the plane ride. Margarita mixer leaked!!
What a lovely lady Dina is, you can just tell she is a lovely genuine person. Great location. Great price and super easy
Dinah is very friendly and helpful! Pickup service from nearby hotels is greatly appreciated, price is very reasonable.
We had an awesome time doing our laundry while we were in NOLA. Dinah is so easy to talk to and has some great stories!
Dinah was very friendly and the washing was done same day and delivered to the hotel. Would absolutely recommend.
Absolutely great and friendly service. Our clothes were perfectly washed and folded with love. Thank you …
Miss Dinah is always overly accommodating & helpful and even has treats for your furry friend
Really nice lady, perfect service! Best laundry service in town you should come here :-)
Got my clothes (and the money from my pocket) back in a couple hours. Thank you Dinah ❤️
Very convenient ciin laundry and the owner is very friendly to support me using machine!
Dinah was awesome! Clothes cleaned and folded within three hours. She was fantastic!
Great location, great service, reliably open when they say. Free detergent!
Great place! Dinah was super helpful and friendly! Definitely recommend.
