Meals were very large but food was decidedly average with very high prices. Fancy menu but underwhelmed. Service was terrible. They made multiple mistakes with taking an order for only a small number of people! We chose to accept some of it so we could all start eating together while we waited for missing items. They did try to make it better with giving incorrect items for free but these were only cheap. And then offering free drinks only it was only one person that actually got their free drink. It was also extremely noisy. Like being in a bar when we were only having dinner. Definitely somewhere for young people to hang out, dining tables surrounding a pool table. Suspect they are relying on their location.

Great food in a great venue. Friendly staff. Music far, far too loud for any conversation. Was going to have more drinks but too noisy to stay.

We just moved here a few month ago and we been trying out all the places in the area.....def my favourite, the Cesar salad was amazing and the burger and Parma was just on par with my salad. Lovely place, lovely people and wonderful atmosphere. I also love the layout of the place and the food is affordable too..... thank you guys, we def will be back ..Nat ❤️

Spent the day in the hills yesterday and went here for a late lunch - loved the atmosphere! The staff were warm and friendly even though we got in just before kitchen close. We had the Roast pumpkin salad, fried chicken burger and for the kids the chicken schnitzel and parma! Everyone loved their meals - delicious!! We would highly recommend and stop by here again.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The chicken parma was tasty (although I wouldn't say excellent) and also good value as it comes with any 2 side dishes from the menu. The chips were so crunchy and the glazed carrots were delicious. Only a few tables indoors but more tables outside in the courtyard. I would recommend ringing first to book a table on the weekends.

Went to the Local for the first time today for a late lunch and had the local burger. Was a definite 2 hander to eat it and very tasty. The chips on the side were sensational. Crunchy and fluffy at the same time. My friend had the Caesar salad and also enjoyed it. You were not left wanting after finishing it. Good service finished it off.

We love the wings here and the crab lasagna. They have a cool deal where you can buy a local jumper and your birthday meal and drinks are free. They just make you go through so many hoops to claim this it really takes away from a birthday night out

My My!! What a little beauty! We looked online and found The Local... The husband and I ordered the Porterhouse steaks with salad and veggies... absolutely fantastic!!! I can safely say these were the best steaks we've had in a lonnng time... and we are steak eaters! Make a trip... you will not be disappointed... kudos!

Stopped by for a feed and a few beers. Good vibe and well set out considering it’s rather small nice outdoor area helps with that. We got the tomahawk steak was quite expensive but didn’t disappoint when it came out. Not something I would get every time i visit but glad I got it.

The Local is a great little spot. I often pop in if I am in the area. On this occasion it was only for a quick cider. The place always seems friendly and and the staff are very pleasant. Parking is no problem, even at busy times. A good place to chill and listen to some tunes.

A huge, huge special thanks goes to Liza Adams who went above and beyond being helpful! Which included timing/techi issues with calling the UK and trying to sort out surprise for my sister! You truly are a superstar and a real credit to the business! Dx

The best chips ever, could have eaten 3 bowls. Well priced, nice outdoor area and dog friendly. Cider on tap, craft beers are limited but for a non metro place to be expected. Relaxed atmosphere Will be sure to stop in again when in the area.

My wife and I made a last minute decision to come for dinner on 19/11/2020 it turned out to be a master stroke. Great service great food we can highly recommend the steaks and if you like a mixed grill this place will not disappoint.

Great food and very plentiful servings. Usually can eat the whole meal but didn't finish the popcorn chicken after my main meal. Cocktails were great too, and the young lady who served us was very friendly. Highly recommended

Not a welcoming place for tourist. We just want a nice dinner but roundly ignored while others were entertained. Racist?? Also, The menu is quite expensive for a local pub. Highly recommended to stay away from here.

Thanks for the awesome meals (take away and dine in) during our honeymoon. We stayed locally at the Gembrook Cottage and it was so handy having this awesome venue a stroll away! Best Parma and cocktails are mint!!

Food was absolutely incredible. Fantastic service and such a great vibe to the venue. Would definitely recommend the Parma and the sticky date pudding was amazing, definitely go and check out the Local.

Half price cockatail night is great, though other drinks are quite expensive for "the local pub". Vegetarian options for food are very limited and I wouldn't recommend. Good atmosphere though.

I had a steak. It was very yummy! Cooked perfectly. My wife had a burger. She really enjoyed it! Nice cosy pub. The cocktails are well worth trying! I enjoyed the Mermaid Water!

A great atmosphere for everyone. Went here for lunch on a Saturday and had the mushroom burger. The chips are outstanding and great service. A great choice for food in Gembrook.

Once again phone left off the hook and cant get through to place a take away meal. Not the first time i have experienced this and won’t be the last.

Looked nice on the outside. Smelt horrible on the inside, toilets had no doors, could see people using it from the table we were going to eat at.
