Beautiful clean environments Quite and great place for a wedding ceromny Romantic for couples Gorgeous sight for all young and old. River/lake is good for a family fish and clean enviroment.no tall grass and low cut, green enviroment with pictures surroundings.Couldn't recommend it more for all ages. quite day out with no loud noises and traffic sounds. Beautiful fresh air and for a small town like Sunbury couldn't ask for a more friendly enviroment to be around.I live 15 mins away and love going by when possible. Make sure you at least pop in once as you won't regret.

Wonderful place to go for a walk on a sunny warm day. Suburb Greenery, calming sound of water, and relaxing wing can just make your day better. People are friendly so don't forget to say hello and Pat the dog. You can bring your own picnic mat and a book or even food and enjoy the day out. The place also has easy access and lot of parking.
Dog-friendliness
You can walk your dogs but they have to be on leash.
Picnic area
Enough space to let your hair down. You can bring your own picnic mat and a book or even food and enjoy the day out.

I went on this place with my kids and they really liked it. We had a lot of fun there. But despite of reading warning signs of strong current my son ran toward the fence and touched it we were shouting to stop but he didnt listen us and got shock he came back crying and panicking. Please guys keep your kids with you when you go to this place my son never listen to us. Thank god he is fine.

Lovely place to walk the dog, great walking tracks and nice community feel. There's a few different trails that you can meander along or if you just want to sit by the water watching the ducks and geese, it's extremely relaxing. The walk up the back takes you to Goonawarra if you're up for a steep walk up the hill, or around the back towards Rupertswood for something a little flatter.

Lovely walk with a decent Exeloo toilet too! The birds are very friendly at the water and there is a fair array of wildlife to spot and hear including: Kookaburras, swallows, frogs, swans, sulfur crested cockatoos, crimson rosellas, eastern rosellas, red rumped parrots, magpies, blue wrens, and more! Very relaxing.

  • Richard Hutch

Wonderful place to relax. Peppercorn tree branches are perfect for climbing onto and reading a book, while ducks hurry about beneath you, and water bubbles over the stones of the creek. A great escape from the claustrophobic nature of Melbourne (at least in the eyes of a person raised in the country).

  • Sarah Matthews

Clean, well kept parkland area with an assortment of seated and undercover areas. Beautiful river/lake which is often visited by the local wildlife, with the option to swim in warmer weather. Walking tracks throughout and a weekend running event takes place weekly nearby.

  • Diane Steckyj

Favourite walking track in Sunbury. If you look carefully you may even see the resident rakali & platypus. Plenty of birdlife too - blue wrens, red browed finches, variety of ducks, geese, wattle birds, honey eaters. Very soul soothing walking along Jackson's Creek

  • Janine Cirona

The Nook is a very scenic beautiful natural part of Sunbury. Great for exercising or just a walk on a sunny day. The landscape reminds me of my favorite place to go, Warburton. With the ducks & running water as well as beautiful farmlets

  • Alaa Alameh

Ali: Not much to do, should have went somewhere to the north Alaa: Beautiful scenic park, well maintained and scattered with a plethora of well placed benches, would definitely come back here to have a chill, low stimulating picnic

Very nice, a good highlight for Sunbury. There's even a rope you can swing off into the room temperature river water! There are rocks and a whole heap of moss. Great for relaxing, just watch out for the bees!

Peaceful and relaxing in the heart of Sunbury. It's great to see the outcome of the work here. Wildlife is abundant and the kids swim here. Reminiscent of the early settlement days. Take a look at the Nook.

  • Sharyn Townsend

The extended family spent Boxing Day at the Nook picnic-ing in the shade of trees. It was 35%+ but we were cooled by a southerly breeze and a swim in the creek. A fantastic day in pleasant surrounds.

  • Erin Pottenger
