I placed an order on 26 Apr. Emailed on 3 and 4 May for an update but received no response until 9 May. By the time I emailed, the public holidays had passed. Order updated as awaiting courier collection in 3 May and stayed that way until 8 May when the courier finally collected. I sent a WhatsApp on 5 May and received a response stating that the delivery was scheduled for the next Monday however they could send a driver with my order later that evening. I agreed to the evening delivery since my dog's supplements were finished and I needed it. I waited until late at night for the delivery but it never arrived even though it was offered by the business. I had to send a follow up message and was informed that the driver was "in an accident" and my package will be sent with the courier. How convenient. I eventually purchased the supplements from Takealot who delivered it on the next day. My order was delivered on 9 May and the cherry on top was that one of the items had expired in March. Once again, I needed to continually follow up when I was sent an expired product. I requested a refund for the item and sent my details. I still did not receive the refund. The communication is very poor. The customer service is horrific. I will not order from this business again. I receive packages from overseas faster than a package from Johannesburg to Pretoria.

ThiS company is a scam, working there, no contract in place...and when questioned they tell u to leave they will call you... They do not pay you for days worked, they have a guy named Taheed who acts like mamager but but scams you into working and processing orders that you will not be paid for when the time comes to be paid.... Please anyone seeking employment DO NOT JOIN THIS COMPANY, Everything is illegal from the working hours. To their offices in rosebank that do not exist... There is no pet and tack shop in rosebank, they operate from a facility using storage units... All orders are online but there is no trace of their offices, landlines or staff.... Illegal practices and be in mind that they will say you were on a working interview and say you will not be paid... Please do not hesitate to expose them... Nomatter what form of emoloyment yiu will not get paid... All they do is use you till you notice it and then get new peiple to join and the cycle continues... There are numerous individuals who can attest to this... They are scammers... And everything is against the labour laws and practices. Please do not beleive anytging online about this company....

Great prices, quick responses to emails, and speedy delivery. 10/10 would recommend. Update: after having received good service in my first encounter with The Pet & Tack shop, the next one was painful. I received the wrong item, emailed asking as to how to proceed, after another email and a week of waiting time, I went ahead and phoned them. I was promised to receive the item in three days time, this never happened. Then another call, the person from the establishment seemed to be confused as to why I had not received any contact, which I definitely did not. I was then promised a phone call the next day and that the item would be shipped express to me. The next day came, no phone call, tried phoning myself, phone line was busy. Had to resort to ask for a refund, because they seem to be incapable of coordinating between themselves and the courier company to complete the most basic of tasks in terms of running an online store, that being getting a product to their client. Pet and Tack, if you promise something, see it through, and don't make your client have to come running after you to do your job.

Non existent customer service post online order. Ordered three items, only 2 were delivered. Missing item was flagged as 'shipped' as per profile. I emailed support and also called contact number to verify. On call person confirmed item was missing and that shipping will take place three days later. Six days later, nothing. No reply to initial email and no call either. So called again only to hear that a refund will now be issued post an email from me to their contact email, as the person on the phone call doesn't deal with reimbursements. 3 days later and nothing. In every instance I had to follow up. Non existent customer service. Not one call or message from them.

No communication from them outside of initial automated email. No response after I emailed requesting ETA, did not get back to me after I called either. Not sure why they even have shipping terms on their site, entire thing felt like a fly-by-night enterprise. Delivery came a week and a half later while we were out, without any warning or prior notification, delivery guy insisted on dropping, we had to scramble home to keep 1.4k of pet food from being stolen outside the gate.

What can I say, being faced with the almost impossible of arranging a crate for our pet to fly home at short notice, The Pet & Tack Shop made it happen. With Jarvis' help and assistance, going the extra mile we managed to pull it off. All I can say is - Jarvis, you were amazing. I don't think we could have done this without your commitment and all the effort you put into making it happen, making up a larger size crate, delivering it to Airlink Cargo - you went above and beyond. The Level of abuse and disrespect is so shocking and disgusting in this fly by night company, there's no time for lunch or knock off, you are held hostage in their so called warehouse..you can only knock off when Thabiet Armiean says so..DON'T GO FOR THIS COMPANY NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE. Thabiet will never be clear to you about his expectations from you,There's no training and development, day one you are expected to work very hard without any sort of payment, they will justify this by saying people are faking credentials.

bad customer service! Ordered cat food for over R1600, waited for almost a week, no communication from them, sent an email, also no reply, eventually called(6 days after I've ordered), only to get a sms saying since I ordered the stock has been sold out, but they didnt bother letting me know when I ordered? How can I pay for something that says in stock, then they sell it to someone else and just say "SORRY TO YOU, O WELL..." DO NOT SUPPORT THESE PEOPLE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Worst online purchase of my life. When quering delivery of my order, I received a shocking rude email, which was apologized for. However , I was promised delivery of my order a week later as well as confirmation a few days before, yet delivery never arrived and I only received an email a day later saying item would only be delivered in another week. The Halti leash is awesome. It is easy on the hands when walking a strong dog that pulls and the different clips and rings allow for many ways to use the leash. It can use full length or doubled up; you can clip it to the top of a harness as well the front to control a strong puller or simply use it to secure the dog to a post or table when having a meal at places that allow dogs.

BEWARE 24 hours means 24 business HOURS. So weird... Just say 3 days (basically 4 because they don't ship anything until day 4). Also if you try cancel they try charge 6% the order amount. Will never use them again Edit: the fact you got my name wrong in the review response is hilarious and exactly what I would expect from my previous interaction with you. Good luck

I order from them monthly for my two dogs because they sell what I can't find in the shops. Service delivery is fast and efficient. Twice now I have placed my order too late and would have ran out of food, but I phoned them and the man there is so helpful and friendly and he helped speed up delivery for me. Good prices, unfortunately delivery takes too long. Ordered on Saturday. I live within a 20km radius of the shop. Waited for delivery until Thursday. This seems like a long time to have to wait, in this day and age of online shopping, especially if one's dog food has run out!
