Called them a week before to book an appointment for my cat for a bath and teeth brush, they ask if my cat is fine with dogs around him, I said no, he's not used to other pets, they said okay they will book him for the Monday 14h30. Arrive there, can hear dogs barking, they tell me I was supposed to bring his own tooth brush, no one told me that when I was making the booking! 10min later they call and say my cat is too tense, would be R700 for sedation and wash. I say no thank you, they still ask me R150 for the attempt to wash him when they specifically made an appointment for "no dogs" but lots of dogs around, so not sure if it's their way to take peoples money without doing any work and should I cancel I would also still pay a cancelation fee! Not very honest! Mistake on their side but I must pay!!!! Since I can't respond to your post. You saying I changed my appointment is an absolute LIE. I called the Wednesday before, asking can I bring my cat in that day. (I do not know about your "cat only Monday mornings") They tell me they are fully booked and how is my cat with other pets. I say he is not used to other pets! So they booked me one and only time Monday 14h30!!! Not other dates or times were booked!! You only just started the bath, he was NOT washed, partially wet and dried a bit, half of his body didn't touch water!! Another lie! Instead of trying to defend yourself by telling lies, rather own up to staff messing up!! And about brushing his teeth, I don't know, do you require me to buy one on the day or do you make use of a throw away brush, or what the process is, nothing was explained on making the booking!!! And about clipping nails!!! I WOULD NEVER ALLOW HIS NAILS TO BE CLIPPED. I do not agree with that at all. And die NOT ask for his nails to be clipped and neither did I sign any paper work agreeing that you need to clip his nails when he gets a wash. Disgusting!!!! What do you refer to by saying "majority of his grooming was already done" he is a short hair cat, I did not require for him to be brushed, I brush him every week! Water touched half his body and you call that majority of the grooming been done!!!!

Twisted Liars at HOBART messing customers around more like it. After explaining to your Pet Spa manager "the blond one with fake pink nails" that I had a very busy day as well as family commitments to attend to, she assured me my cat would be ready at !:30pm. My pet was not ready at that time and was only given to me at 2:30pm. This is the 3rd time in a row that your managers have been unable to provide a service in an acceptable time frame that they have told me would be done at a specific time, THIS ONE WAS FOR 1:30pm, for a job that they do and manage professionally. Your Management is incompetent, rude, disrespectful of customers time and commitments and disgrace to any reputable business. When it comes to taking responsibility they outright lie and point fingers at customers. When having the owner respond as you will see below, I am then accused of lying about time, amount of visits.... I have two cats that have been there 3 times in total, the other customer with me would never have hung around if I was abusive and an alleged bully with so called CCTV footage painting a picture of me abusing staff that were backing away cowardly and afraid. WHAT ABSOLUTE KAK! These people lie straight up, check out HELLO PETER, they score ONE STAR... If they treat customers like they did me, imagine what they doing to your pets... The owner and staff get high on their own gas... DISGUSTING, DISHONEST, FINGER POINTERS WHO CANT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN INCOMPETENCE

To anyone wanting to cancel an appointment I would think twice or not even make a booking for your fur kids with them... I most definitely would NOT recommend this establishment! They are ABSOLUTE thieves! 5 years later and I get blacklisted by them because of "cancellation fee's" not being paid even though I can clearly remember calling them to cancel....in time!!!!! Horrendous! Even more so is the bad attitude of the management when you call to try and resolve. And according to their response below which I cannot answer (leaving them with the final say). At NO point have I signed for anything with you guys - I had always engaged telephonically...and that would have been twice. It's also quite easy to navigate a business system to your advantage so no matter what...it's my word against yours. All these other people who have the EXACT same complaint as I do...its also their word against yours and it's for reasons like this that I would NEVER support your business or refer people to your establishment as your business practice is unethical.

I have to give a star to post a review, there is no option to give ZERO STARS ⛔️Don't bother going to this place - what happens to the animals behind those walls and closed doors is shocking. The glass windows are a complete façade. No apologies or accountability taken. One's concerns get pushed away by a person called Bier who claims to be a vet. Using veterinarian jargon to put fear into the fact that your pet is unwell and that no injuries happened on site. Why they would think we would bring a pet for grooming who has an existing injury is beyond me. Fortunately our amazing vet operated immediately to put our pet out of his misery. A hefty bill, which was worth every penny. I wouldn't even bother suggesting Beir pay the damages as everything is deflected and zero accountability taken. I see there's an option to share images, however I won't share as it was too awful to show, Google would probably ban the image. Stay away people Stay well away!

I have just been contacted by a debt collection agency with regards to an outstanding bill. 1) we do not have an account with this business and we have always paid cash in full for services rendered by them 2) if we owed you anything which (see point 1) makes no sense, I would immediately settle it upon getting a call or email from this company as I have a PRISTINE credit record which i take pains to maintain 3) i checked with their front desk staff who confirmed there are no amounts owed on our dog’s profile It is UNACCEPTABLE that we have been wrongfully handed over to a debt collector potentially compromising our credit records because of an error on this company’s side. I can see why they do not have a reviews section on their Facebook page as businesses that mess up, never do. Fix this immediately!

Such a lovely place. I could stay with my babies as long as I wanted, which really helped as we have one very anxious one. Followed my instructions to a T! The vet and Owner, Dr Katja took time to look at my one puppy and we had probably a 20min conversation where she gave me advice and shared some of her knowledge with me on how to treat my one pups skin allergy. The staff at the counter, whose in my overwhelmed state names I didn’t even ask, was handing out treats and being so welcoming to both me and my pups. The lovely groomer even walked to the car with me to get my hooligans loaded up again. I don’t have the easiest dogs and I’m definitely not the easiest mom to deal with but they took it in stride and we all left happy. Thank you for going the extra mile, we will be back ❤️

10 stars to Twisted Whiskers & Dr. Katja. I have an anxious spaniel child who needs sedation to be groomed and I get anxious We struggled until fourways vet referred us here at Twisted Whiskers. Owner operated by a doctor who is a vet herself who does sedation, she is hands on present to care for the animals, and steps in for the odd grooming requirements even helping people to their car. Neat, clean and staff all have visible work station where you can see what is happening. My dog used to return stressed and ill from grooming at vets but now I can watch when he is being groomed. I needed some answer on a Sunday Dr Katja whatsapp was answered before 8am on Sunday morning and she replied me personally, on a Sunday. Thank you from a grateful mummy.

Twisted Whiskers is on another level . I have tried other groomers, only to be disappointed. My beautiful Louis died last year. I received a beautiful sympathy card from the staff. I was as if they were his extended family, this meant the the world to us as a family. No that our little Phoebe goes off on her own very happily to be groomed.I trust that she is in great hands and her wellbeing and health is always paramount to Twisted Whiskers. She is a particularl cute and beautiful and after exceptional grooming we get compliments all the time. Thank you for caring about my fur baby. Great job to the TEAM!

I will never use their grooming services again. Thank you responding... better late than never.... NO, you did not get back to me.... I called a few times and was always promised that someone would call me back. No-one ever did. The one time I called I was told that "your IT" person had not sorted out the video to look at yet. Next time I called I was told that there had been a problem with the system and there was no video to review. I had to keep calling and after a few calls that were never returned by anyone at Twisted Whiskers I gave up...

Best grooming and pamper done by these guys on my fur baby on Monday, they were gentle and caring to my dog and even spoke to her to keep her relaxed and her tail wagging. Friendly staff and got to discuss my grooming instructions with a very competent and friendly groomer who groomed her exactly the way I wanted. THIS GUYS ARE THE BEST.. Highly recommend!! It makes a difference when places like these are actually owned by pet lovers and only employ pet lovers to work for them.

Absolutely the best! I booked my persian cat for a grooming. This place is very secure for the pets. They are treated with the best care and I met the owner. I immediately sensed the owner as an absolute pet lover and I saw her in the parlour hands-on. They definitely secured me as a return customer. Thank you Twisted Whiskers for your professional and quality service. My cat looks beautiful.

Absolutely spectacular! Consistently high quality! I've taken my Scottish terrier and miniature schnauzer to countless groomers until finding this gem. High quality cuts, staff expertise, not one rash, and no complaints from my dogs either. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants high quality grooming and doesn't want to spend additional costs on vet bills arising out of poor grooming.

Took my goldie in to get her nails cut, we are worried about doing them ourselves. Unfortunately the staff were very unwelcoming and unfriendly - didn’t even ask for my fur babies name when they took her to the back - which I found odd for a parlour that works with pets all day. Overall not a very impressive experience.

I will never bring my precious pet here again. He suffered a lot of pain and trauma (which he carries to this day). His skin was ripped off of his man bits from rough brushing. Had to take him to the vet for painkillers and antibiotics. It's been some time and my heart still breaks when I think of what he went through

There is nowhere else I would take my kitty cat for a spa day - she is so easily stressed and the team at Twisted Whiskers handles her with love and care every time. They even manage my 2 rescue dogs from dodgy backgrounds with terrible trust issues with absolute ease. Fabulous humans.

This pet grooming parlour is really wonderful! Extremely friendly and gentle staff. I love that you can also watch your four footed friend being groomed through the glass windows on the other side. They also do exactly what you ask when it comes to grooming requirements.

The most fantastic service from start to finish. My Maltese is usually very anxious about the grooming process but when I picked him up from here, he was very relaxed and is such a great mood. I totally trust these professionals with my little one.

I took both my elderly cats for a wash, clip and brush up. The service was very good. They were very gentle and the groomers did a superb job. They do cats only on a Monday which is great. Thanks for a lovely job well done.

As a previous dog grooming parlour owner, I am fussy about where I take my Poodle for groominjg, but was very happy with the grooming and most of all Lucy was happy and not stressed at all. Thank you, I will be back

Great pet polour and deli, just they don't have all treaties you may want. They sell few but health ones. I like their cats climb so nice. And their pet beds, great. They are simply awesome, with friendly service.

I took my pekenese to Twisted Whiskers a few days ago... I rate them 5 stars they were extremely professional and gentle with him he came home so calm having had the best cut and spa day... Highly recommend.

Only place in the area that does hand-stripping. I really appreciate their thoughtful and individualized attention that they give to each dog. Both my boys looked handsome after their visits.
