We enjoyed the hotel we went there ostensibly for a party and it was well catered for quite different to how it it had been in the past. The meals all arrived really quickly and they are all quite good quality for a hotel I didn't hear anyone on the table complain about the quality of the food and everyone said how much it was better than how the pub had previously been. Since the last time I had been the decor has changed and a lot more airy and pleasant atmosphere. Prices were around what you would expect in a hotel ranging from about $18 through to $ 30. All in all quite a pleasant experience for all of us and we would probably go back and eat there again food

Was looking forward to sitting by the fire and enjoying a characteristic pub, the fires were going but the dining hall was full so little chance feeling warmth of fire but rather felt the cold hard glare of the ladies toilet. The numbers of diners was obviously too much for the kitchen staff as we waited well over an hour for our food, half the specials were not available and no dessert options left by the time we got to it. Management need to review bookings and either reduce numbers or stagger arrivals or at least offer some bread and butter to keep people going if they are expected to wait a significant time for their food.

Meal fantastic as it turned up unlike my daughter and son inlaws wich after 50 didn't turn up and when she requested a refund as they had to leave the owner, Andrew, got abusive with them and then abused me because of their inability to complete a refund or supply the meal. The staff then stared at the rest of our party and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Also the fact that he stood over yelling when he had me separated from my husband and he couldn't let it go. Such an abusive hotel owner.

Unfortunately we have had bad experiences coming here, before we even step foot in the place Manager comes up to tell us what they have run out of, like the simple things potatoes, steak etc, there is always an excuse. We find when we finally do get our food after an hour or more wait it is ok some dishes lack flavour. Even the bar runs out of spirts etc. We keep going back to support the local business but unfortunately we will be looking for somewhere else to go.

After our first day trip out in the country side after lockdown we were all hungry before our drive home. Just by chance we pulled into here to find the carpark pretty full. Were seated and told dinner was about a 35 minute wait as they were pretty full. It was well worth the wait. Food was generous and tasty. Service was informative, friendly and helpful. Hotel looked like it has been very recently renovated, was clean and fresh. Great venue, food and service!

Nice food and but uncaring staff don't do the venue justice. The barman was put out when I asked what "IPA" meant. The new renovations complete with fireplaces look fantastic and give a warm welcoming atmosphere. Prices are typical for a pub. Wednesday night is parma night, and a great time to go.

most of the Yarra Valley pubs have gone yuppy - not so The West - great traditional country pub service. Plentiful food, drinks not a rip off. Shame the publican has lost the right to call it the Sam Knott (true or myth) as it was always a great story when we took our o'seas and interstate visitors there for a Sunday lunch.

After waiting over an hour for our meals, we found meal to be extremely over cooked and couldn't eat it. Complained to owner, no apology no refund, he even tasted our meal and agreed it wasn't satisfactory. We were then avoided and ignored when we tried to talk to him about it. Absolutely disgusted in how we were treated

Great pub food for a reasonable price. Not a lot on the menu but for chicken Parma lovers there are plenty of options. Their fish and chips were crispy and yum as was their meat lovers Parma. A family friendly environment.

Such a nice place around Warburton. Staff were fantastic and so helpful. We lost our gold ring ( don’t know how) and couldn’t find it. However, staff were so friendly and helpful to search around. Food was huge but quality (taste) not as good as other good points. Chicken Parma was dry and pork rib was not really grilled. Thanks

One star go only for the staff who were nice and welcoming but the food is really disappointed as we wait for 40 minutes to get our garlic bread, and the main was nit long after but not as it should be served risotto way too solid and thick and the chicken schnitzel was so thick and plate messy Really need some improvement

1st visit. Great experience. We Had a booking for 60 people tonight. The staff were fantastic. They were friendly, helpful, efficient and great all round. The food was amazing. Huge portion sizes, well presented, flavoursome, Great quality. Delicious. Definitely worth visiting. I’ll be back.

Beautiful building with a spacious comfortable layout, gorgeous views, food was great and not overly expensive. And the service was friendly and engaging. Thanks for making us feel welcome and comfortable. Parking was easy and plentiful, and it's easy to find at the junction there.

decided to go for a drive to Warburton and found this place from trip advisor, food was amazing and was so reasonably priced. Best food we'd had in a long time.

This place is amazing. We were a big group (almost 20) and everyone was happy with the meal and the service. It was delicious, good portion, and with a reasonable price. The building is also very nice, clean and well taken care of. I'd definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

Went at a pretty quiet time due to the storms while up there, but staff were friendly and food was yum. Mixed Grill Parma was tasty and a generous portion. Awesome ambience inside the pub, loved eating by the fire. Will go back when I’m in the area next!

With lack of a better word "Perfect".. The food was absolutely amazing, medium rare scotch fillet, cooked to perfection, outstanding customer service, cozy environment, fantastic menu choice and the bar is stocked with all the right stuff..

Food was great. Atmosphere is good although busy and so noisy. We waited a long time for food due to a late very large group but they were apologetic and I think that wouldn't be too common. Large area and a little cold on wintery days.

Had some lunch with a large group after taking the kids to Mt Donna Buang. Staff were friendly and accommodating and clearly well used to handling families. Good was great and a few craft selections on tap. Nice experience.

Great service and food. Beer garden is looking good. Lunch for 2 on a Friday. Husband said the steak was good and my flatty tails were nice too, (would suggest a little less oil in the batter) will definitely be back.

We had such a beautiful afternoon in the sun/beer garden drinking pots and having lunch. Andrew the owner is an excellent local fella with great knowledge of the area and also his menu! Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always an enjoyable experience when we go to The Warburton Hotel. The staff are always friendly and the service & meals are 10/10. Highly recommend calling in here for a meal if you’re in the area.
