Would not recommend eating here. The food was below average. We decided to eat here again as we are locals. We've eaten here before and weren't impressed, but decided to give it another chance. We ordered the Seafood Fried Rice and the Combination Meat and Veggies with Rice. Both dishes came out relatively quick but we're lacking in flavour. The portion sizes were also incredibly small, we ended up leaving hungry still. The rice portion was served on a small side plate with the hot bowl still used to shape the rice still covering it. The bowl was too hot to remove on first touch and honestly strange that it was presented this way. We did also order a side of chicken spring rolls. Admittedly, these were flavoursome and cooked well, however, fairly standard amongst the many Vietnamese restaurants we visited. While we're glad the restaurant is still operating after COVID, we're surprised the restaurant lasted. Be warned, there is no EFTPOS - only cash or bank transfer, another strange practice used. Most restaurants that are cash only tend to give me the impression that there are some dodgy tax evasion practices in place - didn't appreciate the lack of EFTPOS option at all. You are much better off heading to Springvale less than a 10min drive away for some authentic and quality Vietnamese.

Tried to have a lunch date with my husband, but was sadly disappointed. Maybe something got lost on translation but we ordered pho and fried rice and I think we received neither. There was just chicken bones in the soup, no edible chicken and the broth was unsavoury. It was around $20 and I couldn't actually force myself to eat it, nor could my husband. $20 for bean shoots, noodles and chicken bones. My husband was served plain rice and meat. We told the restaurant about the food (mine remained virtually untouched) and she shrugged and took full payment. Won't be back. I never leave bad reviews, but this experience really soured my day. I'm still hungry and sad. I understand things being lost in translation but the restaurant could improve customer service. Edit: in relation to the owner's comment below, I may have got the price incorrect by a few dollars but it was definitely this restaurant. The reply isn't very welcoming or apologetic so I won't be back. I hope other people have a better experience.

Fancied some Viet tonight and had a look to see what was well recommended, glad I did not listen to the bad reviews. Yes cash only but that's not really a problem let's be honest. Had some rice paper rolls which you could tell were made fresh to order, the vermicelli salad flavoursome too! While I was there some other people who never had Viet before so were asking questions about food which might annoy some but the server was polite to them while still serving others. Will be back to try a pho when weather cools back down for sure!

Being vietnamese I've been around my cultures cuisine all my life so I like to think I have a good grasp on our flavours- and this hidden gem always delivers the goods if it's authentic Vietnamese dining you're after. Whether it be hainanese chicken rice, pho tai, broken rice or rice paper rolls, they can do no wrong! Love the sometimes inclusion of cold custard desserts with takeaway orders. Only downside is sometimes the phone doesn't get answered and I'll have to order from Minh KY (decent joint but not uncommon for their dishes to be too salty). Will always come back here ♥️♥️♥️

Pho was delicious. Also had salt n pepper chicken ribs and a vegetable dish. The dishes were big and cooked to perfection. The Vietnamese ice coffee is incredible, the best I've had!! Great value. Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!!

Sliced Beef Pho Tai, Salt and Pepper Chicken Spare Ribs

The staff were very friendly and a pleasure to interact with. However the food was rather bland and flavourless, and had a distinct burnt flavour (smelled a bit like tobacco). The vegetables tasted fresh, but the meal was a let down. The restaurant was fairly cluttered, but the seating area was quite neat and cozy. Quite disappointed, I think the meals would benefit from a bit more attention to spices and flavour.

Brilliant family owned restaurant. Classic Vietnamese. Two Signature dishes Crispy fried salt and pepper chicken spare ribs yolk salty egg and salt and pepper fried tofu. All the classic dishes as well Phò, Bun bo hue dac biet.... So if you are looking for a great dine in experience or some flavorful take away prepared by people who take pride in their meals Thu Do Restaurant is the place for you.

It was very busy today which made service quite slow. However the service was friendly and the food was good. Cash only makes it a bit tricky if you've not got cash, so make sure you do! Not sure why that is and hope it's nothing to do with dodging taxes!? All in all some nice Vietnamese food and worth a visit …

A simple restaurant but the beef soup of Pho is above average compared with many Vietnam restaurants i visited around the world. Both the quality of the noodle and beef soup is close to what I have in Vietnam. Shrimp spring roll is good. The grill pork with the cold noodle is very good taste and smell too.

This is a hidden gem. My mum and I came here for dinner this evening and had the beef wrapped in betel leaves and pho. The food was super flavoursome and we left with very full bellies. The service was fast and our waitress was very friendly. We will definitely be back!!

One of many restaurants in Noble Park that you can enjoy a sit down meal or take away. Prices are excellent and so are the meals which are big servings. Highly recommend a visit by yourself or with family and friends.

Love this little restaurant, not flash what you see is what you get. Service and food are great, give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Clean, nice relaxed environment. Rooms clean and we'll maintained. Food is good and breakfast is a relatively small choice but well made. Staff is well presented, courteous and helpful. Highly recommended.
