I came in and politely asked about a package that was not delivered to my house, because the delivery person had marked it as “insufficient address.” By this point, I had talked to someone on the USPS customer service line, who told me to go to the Northcross office to pick up my package. I verified with that person what my address was —it had been correct— and they apologized but assured me I’d be able to pick it up that office. I make the drive over there— the Northcross office is NOT my local post office— and they very kindly tell me my package is not there. Rather it’s at the Jollyville office. Makes sense, as I live off of Jollyville. Oh well. I drive back to my neighborhood, walk inside and the vibe is instantly terrible. A shrewish middle aged woman barked at me, “Next!” I walk up and explain the situation to her. She interrupts me as I’m explaining I was told to pick up my package at a different location but this is my local office, before I could even tell her I tried to go the other one first, with a big pouty sigh, “Well, what’s your zip.” Fine. I tell her. She looks angrier now, because I am in the right place, so she should try to help me. I tell her my tracking number. She looks it up and goes, “Yeah, we can’t help you. It’s already being returned to sender. You should have come sooner.” I talked to USPS people about my package yesterday, lady. They said I had until Friday to pick up my package. It’s Thursday. I talked to your coworkers in person, at a different location, with the same tracking number and information as you. They told me it was here. I understand all of that may be out of your power, but your attitude and demeanor towards customers is not. She made no apologies for all of the misinformation I had been given. I don’t know if she was already defensive because she was going to be the bearer of bad news... but talking to me like I’m a stupid jerk wasting her time because I just want to know what’s actually going on is not the way. Our interaction lasted longer than it could have if she had just been kind. I hope she retires soon and I hope the USPS urges their clerks to treat customers with dignity and respect. The kicker of all of this to me is that my address was correct. The delivery guy was maybe new, whatever. But she acted like it was somehow my fault it was not delivered to me & that two of her colleagues had given me bad information. Edit: They also refuse to answer their phone.

I am soooo frustrated. I received a large box that was put in the package locker. However, because there is a lip or rim on the customer side of the locker, there is not enough room to get a grip on the package and pull it out. I sat and waited by the mailboxes for over 30 minutes for the carrier to come and help me get the box. I finally had to leave, so I wrote a note stating that I couldn't get the box out and tried to push it as close to the carrier side of the locker asking if they would please leave the box on my porch. I came back a short while later and naturally they had come after I left. As I walked up to the box, I realized the key was still in the lock but the key for the other locker was gone. So, that meant they hadn't seen my note. So, I then sent an email explaining my problem and asked them to email or call me. Then I tried calling...and calling...and calling,..and calling, etc. probably 6 times. They would not answer the phone and my call was eventually disconnected. This happened every single time. Finally on my 7th try I got a busy signal. So, I'm guessing they just took it off the hook. (HA, just realized this is an arcane term to anyone under 35!). In reading through the comments, I see NOT answering the phone seems to be standard operating procedure for this location. I have only had a few problems with this location and one of those was a major issue involving medication from the VA for my Dad. It was addressed to him at my address. However, despite the correct address, they unilaterally made the decision to not leave it because of a different last name. So, the medicine was returned, VA refused to send it back because the post office had stamped it "undeliverable as addressed". This, despite the fact that I frequently receive mail for people on my street with a different last name and a different house number. Sometimes it will be for a different last name, correct house number, but wrong street. Thank goodness I live in a neighborhood where we hand deliver the wayward mail to the correct address.

The employee Marvalee (black woman) had a rude attitude towards me that i have never experience before at this location. When I came to pick up my package, she ask for my ID. She ask for my current address, I told her I didn't want to say my address out loud for security purpose and I decided to hand her my paper mail address. She roll her eyes and snapped at me and said she can't help me unless i said my address. I said my address to her which i was uncomfortable saying it since there were people around me. Then, she threw my ID at me and I explain to her that it was extremely rude. All she did was laugh and said that I was rude. When I requested for a manager, she didn't want to give my packages to me and force me to wait. I asked the other employee, Marla, to give my package to me and she refused. They punish a customer by not handing a his/her package and force to wait for 30 minutes. I hope the manager check the cameras that she threw my ID at me and have her fired since she doesn't provide customer service and throwing things at a customer. If she continues to work at this location, she will surely cause customer problems and negative reviews. Also, she is causing a security breach by asking customers to say their address out loud. TO THE USPS CORPORATE COMPLAINT: Please fired marvalee for being unprofessional and throwing things at a customer is consider an assault. Her physical actions should never be condoned at any work place.

The Good: most of the employees recently have been very helpful and friendly on the rare occasion that I have to pick up a package there. Sometimes it can take a little while for them to find it, but I’m usually in and out of there relatively quickly. I use the self check kiosk whenever I need to mail out anything. The Bad: there is one employee there, Cindy, who has been there a long time, and she is so unpleasant to everyone around her that I have no idea how she hasn’t been thrown out of the building. Today, she angrily told a woman mailing out a package “NO! hit the yes button, the YES button RIGHT THERE”. I can also recall another time she almost made another woman cry with her rudeness. The woman left her keys at the post office, and all she could be bothered to do is angrily snap at her “I haven’t seen any keys at all today”, that no one turned anything in, and that she was supposedly the one in charge of the lost and found. After a few minutes of her arguing with and not even trying to help this woman out, another employee comes by, frustrated, and says that the lost keys are literally RIGHT below her behind the counter. I try my absolute best to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I can clearly see this woman is just an unpleasant and mean person. Get out of customer service if you hate dealing with people so much, or retire.

A USPS employee whose name begins with W (Wally? Wesley? Wayan? Wendell?) was working with customers at the counter and refused to wear a mask, despite it being the law, and myself and another customer asking him to put one on. He was shouting at myself and other customers from the counter. State and local law mandates that all people must wear masks indoors during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am SHOCKED that a public employee is refusing to follow the law at this publicly-funded place of business. I normally go out of my way to support USPS over their competitors such as UPS, FedEx, etc. I recently purchased a bunch of stamps in order to support the organization during funding issues. Gentlemen such as the one I encountered today are not only breaking the law (and common sense/decency), but he put a big stain on the reputation of the United States Postal Service. I don't expect that my tax money will be spent on employees who have no regard for upholding the law or public safety. I have never been treated by a UPS or FedEx employee in such a manner....

Everyone is saying this is the worst usps they had ever been to. I just wanted to see how they earned the reputation. Well now i see everyone is right. They are slow as sloths. Counting and adding numbers one by one like a kindergartener. I was served by a woman Rajni from India. When asked if they sell envelopes for mailing documents, she said they only provide priority envelope. I asked I don't mind buying but i couldn't find one on the counter that is large enough for A4 paper. She then got mad. She started to lash out and say it is YOUR responsibility to have envelope. It is Your responsibility to close the envelope. It is YOUR responsibility to write address. As if responsibility is the only intelligent words she knows. I know the things i need to do, but is it necessary to say everything is my responsibility?? What a disqualified and incompetent person to work in public sector. People are here just to run their errands. You are not king to dictate others life. You all have horrible days everyday.

USPS tried to deliver a certified letter and I wasn't home to sign for it. Following the instructions on the card, I went online and scheduled a redelivery. The date of the redelivery came and went. I called the one 800 number for USPS and voicemail hell doesn't allow you to speak with a person. The Balcones Woods station does not answer the telephone. While I watched waiting in line, there is apparently a separate walk-up desk (the one closest to the door) for people who are awaiting packages, although they do not tell customers that this is going on. After waiting in line, sick with the flu, I gave the attendant my card and he cut off all of my attempts to tell him my saga, and said he needed to go "look at the wall." He came back with my certified letter. I asked why it had not been redelivered. He said sometimes "the carriers don't look and see that they have items that need redelivery". Ragesplutter. I want a job where I have no accountability if I don't perform the basic functions of my job.

This is the worst post office. The process to pick up mail is the most time consuming inefficient process. There is one person helping a line of 30+ people that are picking up packages while 3 other employees sit with zero people in line to drop off mail. The three employees are chatting amongst themselves while the 1 single employee is helping everyone. When asked if the other employees can help, they refuse and tell me to get back in line. Waiting since 9:45am. It’s now 10:34am and still have 4 people in front of me. The employee that told me he would not help said he was injured, walked away from his window for drop off mail and never came back after he told me to get back in my line for mail pick up. Worst customer service. The phone is also never answered, ever. Says an hour wait but never answered. The woman helping my line was very kind and apologized for the long wait. She likely gets paid the same or less than the male employee for doing all the work.

  • Jason Gilbert

Such an joke, from a professional standpoint. Can confirm, they will not answer the phones for anything. I tried 18 times today to get a hold of someone regarding 2 packages that were marked "Undeliverable as addressed" even though it's the same address that has been in service for over 40 years. I work, as well, and not close to my local post office(this one on Jollyville), and I go to work before they open and leave as they're closing, so I can't just go in and wait to speak with someone. All I wanted to do was to confirm that they did have my packages there before I made the trip over on my lunch break, so much for that. In a customer service profession, which is what they essentially are, it is never acceptable to just ignore phone calls coming in. Among those calls were times where someone picked up and then hung up(or at least that is what it seemed like), others where the line rang for over 2 minutes and then would disconnect.

  • Randy Moore

Absolutely worst customer service, these people clearly do not care about their jobs. Had a package due to be delivered today that I needed, however they left me the dreaded "pink slip" telling me to pick it up at the post office. The slip clearly told me the package was at this location and ready for pickup after 10:30am (I showed up at 5:00pm). The guy looked at it real quick and told me to come back friday, they didn't have it. I asked him what do you mean, it says to pick it up here, so he gives me attitude and says the trucks don't return every five minutes. Apparently their seats are too comfortable for them to get off their ass to even look to see if a package is there, which it was. This is why whenever possible, I always upgrade my orders to UPS, unfortunately some sellers haven't grown wise to this horrible waste of space and money that is known as the USPS.

Whichever words are furthest from 'human' and 'customer service' would describe this place perfectly. I wish there was a way to rate in the negatives. There is only ONE older lady who is incredibly kind and fantastic. The rest seem miserable and seem to take that out on the customers. After experimenting with each interaction, I found that the less customers talk, the 'nicer' they appear. I noticed this was occurring with 3 other people, so I went ahead and went through a transaction without speaking. That's right, I placed my item on the counter, they weighed it, gave me a price, I paid and left. The employee actually seemed normal. The next day, I started out silent and spoke towards the end, totally changed their mood to 'demon mode'. I suggest going somewhere else for your shipping needs. Paying a little extra for the other guys might be worth it.

DO NOT DROP YOUR MAIL OFF AT THIS POST OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. I dropped my Save the Dates in the mail drop at this post office and they NEVER made it to ANYONE! Not only am I having to pay for the invites again but I also have to purchase envelopes and stamps all over again. When I asked to speak with a manager he walked out looking like he hated his job and didn't want to speak with me. The only thing he could tell me was that I'm sorry but we are not responsible for anything that is lost, stolen or damaged and there is nothing he could do. NOT EVEN REIMBURSE ME FOR THE STAMPS. He just kept saying sorry there's nothing I can do per Fed. regulation. NO HELP AT ALL! I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this awful post office. Do not go here if you want your mail to make it to the end receiver b/c IT WONT!

This branch (perhaps all branches?) has no system of accountability. They don't answer the phone. They do not fulfill their terms of service. On three occasions I scheduled pickups for Priority Mail parcels online. Each time the pickup was marked online as complete, when in reality the parcel remained on my door step. I talked to the mail carrier about this, who said that one of his bosses was in charge of that, and that I should talk to one of them. In other words, he denied responsibility and passed the buck, instead of volunteering to look into it. To date, I have had no luck contacting any of his superiors. This branch (and perhaps USPS in general?) deserves nothing but the utmost disgust for its abysmally poor levels of service and accountability. Please patronize Fedex or UPS for their incredibly superior service and lower parcel prices.

Went here yesterday to mail some books, not sure why everyone is so cranky with this location. There is always tons of parking and I feel like I'm always in and out. Of course I didn't plan very well for what I was mailing because I wanted to check the flat rate and priority mail boxes that they offer. I didn't bring tape or a marker, like a post office newbie. None the less chose the box that best suited my needs. I asked the lady behind the counter if I could borrow tape, she said there is tape for sale, but since I was sending priority mail, she offered to let me use the priority marked tape. Worked out well for me. And the shipping label could be written on with a pen. It was smooth sailing at the counter. 3 people were in front of me, but the wait was not long at all. Great experience here and I usually have great service anyways.

I applied for a minor's passport through this post office, and it's been a disaster. Passports have been held up as it is, and this post office has delayed our application by months. I followed the checklist for all the documents necessary for my child's first time US passport and brought all documents with me. The lady who processed it all only took photocopies of our passports and left out at least 5 other important, mandatory documents. I got a call from the processing center in Georgia and they told me there are several missing documents and my application is incomplete and therefore delayed. I am upset because I had all these documents with me and the USPS clearly doesn't know or follow procedure. I regret going here and advice others to do their homework before you apply through this center. Unprofessional and disorganized.

1 star implies something good might've happened. It has not. We've been waiting for a mail key now for a month. When I call to check status, I'm told they have the request and just wait longer. When I tell them I'm expecting important mail and cannot wait, their answer is rather glib. We showed up in person, hoping to get more information. The area that handles these matters has no one there, so we're forced to wait in the massive line. There's two employees helping what looked like 30 or more people - literally out the door. There are 6 kiosks. The very model of inefficiency. Service is so bad, I was told to contact the main Consumer Affairs office. I did and left a voicemail. Nothing has come of this 3 days later. Beyond frustrating and criminally negligible. If I ran a business this way, I'd be long out of business.

  • Dustin Price

Never had a problem with this location. Sure the line gets long but that is because the customer service at the other post offices in the area is so bad! The Lake Creek Parkway location is horrible!!! These employees are much more helpful and help me with a smile on their face. I know post offices are not know for customer service, but these folk have done a great job for me. For all you people complaining about them not answering the phone, why don't you go into the office. You can see there is a line of people and the employees are doing everything they can to help the customers that have come to see them in person. I love to see the phone ring and them ignore it because they are trying to help the people in the office, not the idiots that want to hide behind the phone and complain.

  • Amauri Herrera

Came in with pertinent questions: like which service am I suppose to select for my international mail piece? What kind of options are available in my case?..as its ambiguous online. I was patronized, then had my mailed swiped and wasn't given the space to let them know I wanted my mail registered as it contained sensitive documents. You really need to listen to customers and not try to guess what they need ahead of time while patronizing valid questions; even though as a public servant you shouldn't patronize any question to begin with. Also, should really get in the habit of asking if a certification or register is needed especially when dealing with large envelopes (flats) and packages. (They are not average casual letters, who would have thunk??)

  • Ayla Rain

I hate this location. The kiosk is always broken & lines are long long long. Now I've got to drive to another location further away just to mail a package. * Next review: they lost my package. They lost it BEFORE IT LEFT THEIR BUILDING!!! My customer contacted me wanting to know where her item was, the worker at the window sent me 20 minutes down the road to "the plant" where their supervisor actually looked up my tracking number to see where it was last seen and it never left the Jollyville location. They lost it before it even left the building. Totally mismanaged and incompetent location. I will absolutely NOT use this location at any point in the future. OH! I filed a report for a lost package on the usps website and it was never responded to.

  • Don

Horrible Horrible experience! I just don't understand why the USPS would not take action in line to all the reviews mentioned here. In my personal experience the staff here extremely hate their job. I have been to this place a couple of times and the staff at front desk here always have a angry face and are lazy. Recently I went in the early morning there to pick up my package which my tracking said was clearly there. But the lady there looked once and kept on making excuses the package was not there. So finally I asked to see the manager and he found my box right there in the front. This was not just one bad experience, I have lost my packages number of times here! I hate this place, its closest to my home otherwise I would never go there.

  • Chris harvey

Seeing all the negative reviews I feel compelled to write a review. I frequent the Jollyville Post regularly and have not had poor experience. Every worker has been pleasant and helpful. I make it a habit to plan ahead, and expect a wait during certain hours. If I approach the staff with a friendly and respectful attitude, I get that same treatment in return. The workers there have limited control of problems with mailbox break-ins, package theft and ect. These people are human beings. They are just trying to pay their bills like everyone else. If customers came into my job expecting instant gratification with sour attitudes or even aggression I probably wouldn't be friendly or put extra effort in helping them. Cheers Postal Workers.

  • Lesley Wells-Lewis

I had an interaction with the infamous Howard today. I came in as he was wrapping up with a previous customer, and it was obvious that transaction didn't go well. He was visibly irritated with the customer and even gave the coworker next to him a look of frustration, which she returned to him. When that customer was done, I was the next in line. So I was determined to be as polite, friendly and clear as I could be when dealing with him. It didn't matter. He questioned what I was asking for, as if I wasn't making sense, and he was frustrated throughout the interaction. It's clear that he doesn't like his job, and it shows in his interactions with customers. I'll be looking for another post office location to mail packages from.

  • Jenn

The postal workers here refuse to deliver packages to my apartment complex. There is a management office on the property and parcel boxes in the mailroom which are completely acceptable places to leave packages. Instead, they leave a slip in my mail box for redelivery that they didn't fill anything out on. I can't schedule redelivery with the information they left off (what type of package, why it wasn't delivered, when it can be picked up, who sent it, etc.). Please tell your drivers to do their jobs. Deliver people's mail or fill out the form so the customer can arrange for redelivery. It shouldn't be up to me to come to the office to pick up my package because the driver was too lazy to complete delivery.

  • Michael McAllister

Easily the most incompetent post office I've ever been to. Went in simply to get a Priority Mail box. There were none on the rack where you'd find them. Now, this is a large facility so one would think these would be readily available, but these things happen. Since it wasn't busy, I asked at the counter and the clerk looked at me like he didn't know what I was talking about. I asked again but I'm not sure how to say, "I'm looking for a Priority Mail medium box so I can ship something" any other way. After a long silence, I was directed to some envelopes I said, no, I needed a medium box. Again, silence as if he didn't know what I was asking. So I left without the box. Is this a training facility?

  • Christopher Newman

I have been using this PO for a while for mailing packages. The counter service is good, when you eventually get there. No matter the time of day lines are long. This place has 5 or 6 counter spots and I have never seen more than two used. And two being used is rare. My transaction time today was less than two minutes. I waited for at least 15, 15 minutes after they opened. There were two people in front of me when I got there. Nothing happens fast here, but the workers are nice. Please speed this stuff up! Some finger pointing at customers too. How do you not put your destination address on a package? How do you stand in line and hold up the line with no destination address? Come on folks.....

  • Aaliya Khan

The person who I went was very rude. He was an older African America man who said he won't help me without even trying. He instead referred me to call usps if I need help. He was just assuming that my package is lost. The reason I went there was because the receipt they gave me was blank in the middle so I couldn't track my package and I asked him to help me find the the tracking number. He said "that is not my fault, that is the printer's fault". After waiting there for 30 minutes I asked another gentleman if there is a way he can help me and he explained it to me properly with knowledge and experience of what I was asking of him, and helped me figure out the next step. Very disappointed!

  • catothewiser

I never go in to this place but I have never had much to complain about regarding mail service despite it almost being a cliche. I mailed about 6 bills at the same time in the outside mail drive thru drop off. Time passes and none of the checks have cleared. All I want it to get someone on the phone to say "oh, yeah, we know there was an incident between these times..." SOMETHING. Can't even get someone to pick up a phone. The supposed main site just has circular paths to contact that go nowhere. I see review after review about how bad people's experiences are here. I would say chances are some Affirmative Action hire took place at the higher level and the moral has hit rock bottom.

  • Bella Previti

They've driven me to tears multiple times out of frustration. I moved into my building 4 months ago & have yet to receive my mail key. Packages we ordered over 3 months ago are not there when we go to pick up our mail. Today they told me there's no spot for my held mail in the back even though I've picked up my mail multiple times. The times I have picked it up, it's mail I should have received in January. I'm tired of the attitude, incompetence & clear lack of a system and/or proper training every single time I walk in the door. I have filled out a form for my key & 2 rush order forms & they tried to have me fill out a third today. Get it together. This is not acceptable at all.

  • Katy O

I don't usually go to this branch, I go to the much more professional Bluebonnet Station near my work, but I had a nearby doctor's appointment and needed to ship. Two people actively processing with a line that was 20+ people deep by the time I left. The employee had no idea what she was doing with my international package, and couldn't seem to figure out my customs forms - I rarely ship internationally, but even -I- can figure out customs forms. This post office is terrible all-around. Also, someone had either hit a skunk or was having a massive weed party that I was invited to nearby. Not the post office's fault, but they're awful so I'm blaming them for that too.

  • 0mniscienc3 (0mniscienc3)

They refuse to answer their phone. Called and called and at one point someone picked up the phone and quickly hung up. Lost multiple packages and when questioned, all they said was "well if it's gone it's gone. Not my problem". Dropped off a package that contained unused meds to go back to the pharmacy and 5 days later I charged and pharmacy said they hadn't received it (it was one day shipping) and it wasnt even scanned in. Now I have to take time off of work because surprise! No one is answering their phones. Here is to hoping we can retrieve it. Based off of other comments and my experience, I wouldn't be surprised if they're stealing packages.

  • Eduardo Ramirez

About 2 months ago my daughter changed her address and requested it be forwarded to new address. Mine was all sent back to sender. Packages were being forwarded to no known address too. I put a hold on mail a month ago and some mail still comes in but not all. Non on hold. They always take your number but never call you back. It's just an absolute mess at this post office. Nobody picks up the phone, nobody has answers, drop box is always closed, self serve kiosk is always broken, the supervisor is never there, etc. etc.. Worst post office ever. I hate it here. Austin you failed miserably. Place needs to shut down or replace those in charge.

  • Lisa Park

My first experience here - the first time I'd ever mailed a package internationally - was not great, as the guy at the desk was terribly impatient with my ignorance. That was about five years ago, though, and every visit since has been perfectly pleasant, the staff friendly and helpful regardless of how busy the place was, or how close to closing time I've shown up! I don't think I've ever seen that one guy again, either, so maybe they moved him to a non-customer-facing position. Bottom line: It's a rough job in a rougher system, but the folks at the Jollyville location handle it admirably. Hang in there, y'all, you're doing well!

  • Brinton Dinnell

I went in to pick up a package and the clerks just began telling me information before looking anything up. I finally got one lady to look into my request and found that my package was at another post office and assumed that I should know that it was held there despite having 3 post offices closer. While talking with the clerk, another walked back and forth in the yelling other information that was not even relevant to my questions. Every time I’m there the experience is poor, filled with sarcasm, chippy answers and just like they are disinterested in helping. I would NOT recommend this location unless you like rude people.

  • Murphy’s Law Jack Pads

You cannot even imagine the level of laziness and sheer repugnant personality of this station. I stopped coming to this location months back because of Howard, he is so lazy and unpardonable and exactly what everyone thinks of as a lazy government employee only doing the minimum required. Then comes the phone bank the post office has set up, not a single way to contact anyone about these issues. It’s a wonder the post office stays open even with loosing billions of dollars a year. I will be switching to another postal service today. Howard go ahead and retire already for the betterment of the post office.

  • Sierra Lopez

Busy does not mean you have to be rude. A package was supposed to be delivered to me and the tracking number indicated it was, yet it was not in my securely locked mailbox when I checked it that very day. I went to check out things at the post office in case it was sent back to the sender and was greeted by some of the least friendly attitude I could have been. Needless to say, it didn't help the situation. Beyond "nope wasn't back there" and a general bad attitude from the start , I wasn't offered any help or guidance. Customer service is important, especially when customers are worried or upset.

Went here to pickup mail from a recent Hold Request since USPS.com directed us here given our address. A clerk there told us the mail is held in Dallas and that ALL mail is held in Dallas for local Hold Mail request. We tried to explain what the email from USPS said and also what it said online but he would barely let us get a word in edgewise. Just awful, unprofessional and supremely unhelpful. Decided to go to the Lakeline USPS and the gentleman there was very helpful and pointed us in the right direction. Ended up at the Far West USPS and was able to pickup our mail. In Dallas, huh?

I've been waiting for my ID to come in the mail for 60 days, I've had to reorder it twice. I went to this post office to see whats going on and the manager said it was the mail carrier's falut that the ID is not in my mailbox. I called corporate and they gave me a number to call but I called the number and no one answered also the voice mailbox was full. Im supposed to call the DMV and request for my ID to be delivered for the third time but whos to know if its going to be delivered to my place. I've had mail that came the same time my ID came in my mailbox but my ID was not in there.

  • Mihir Gajera

Please don’t send any international package from here. They don’t know how package moves from point A to point B. It is disappointing to tell people how to do their own job. Their rating on google is 1.8. Search on twitter, people are crying for their packages. If you call customer care they will tell you that they don’t know about package. Priority mail is actually less priority mail service. They will charge you for premium service but they don’t know what it means. Ruined my new year , If you really want financial and mental damage please go ahead and send package.

  • Julie Plowman

This is the worst post office I've ever experienced. They lose our mail, deliver other people's mail to our house, and refuse to deliver packages. Several times, we've gotten notice that they attempted to deliver a package to us, when in reality, we watched the truck deliver mail to our mailbox then drive off, leaving a slip stating that they attempted delivery. Then after several days, we have to go stand in line for more than an hour to pick it up from them. That's not what we pay for. Calls to complain do no good at all. Extremely poor service and bad attitudes.

  • Kala Hicks

They hardly ever answer the phone and when they do, instead of trying to be helpful they blame you. Aside from that I had a package to be delivered today where our agent has been present all day. I checked my mailbox to see a form stating USPS was unable to obtain a signature.. Now I can only deduce that out of sheer laziness our postman couldn't bear to walk the fifteen feet from our mailboxes to our office in order to get a signature. Now I have to waste my gas tomorrow to pick up a package that should have been delivered today. Good job USPS classy as always!

  • W&W C

This USPS is horrible. Lost mail my vacation hold mails (10days worth). This is not the one time, either lost or delivered to somewhere else. One time it was delivered to a friend of mine who doesn't even live in our neighborhood. The supervisor has a I don't care attitude, no wonder most of the employees are the same. Absolutely no smile at this USPS. Years ago when I know my carrier's name "Bobby" and everyone was running great. Now, everyone at that USPS has a face of "why am I bother to work here" attitude. I am going to see if I can file a formal complain.

  • L Braxton

Same story... Lost package and an endless loop between the 1800 number and this post office. 1800 number reopens and local branch closes it. I only wish I knew this before A second much more important package was ordered. I and the merchant requested that they hold the package at the facility for pick up. I had planned to pick it up when they opened. They open at 830am and at 733am I was texted out for delivery. I never had a chance. What are the chances that my package will end up in the hands of someone other than me? I'm so disgusted with these people.

  • Savannah Williams

I have never had so many problems with USPS in Austin then with this one. Packages aren’t delivered so often and even when I schedule a re delivery they’ve been sent back causing me to have to on one occasion pay a company for redelivery because USPS wasn’t able to successfully do their job. Not to mention an oversized package was put in my box and I had to spend 10 min pulling and bending it just to get it out. Completely damaged the package and I’m just thankful it wasn’t anything fragile. I dread anytime I have to actually walk into this location.

  • Colette Clarke Torres

Love this post office. I've visited it since it opened and have always been week served. As the lines lengthed over the years, they responded. Love that I can drop off packages which are ready to go rather than waiting, that they call those waiting for package pick up and other quick services which need no monetary exchange from the line. Great service, usually with a smile. Thanks! Very clean. Only complaint is that the automated machines which do many of the jobs of the employees rarely work. On the days they do, I'm in and out in a flash.

  • Celest Couch

Misery just hangs in the air at this place. Every time I walk out of the building (after having inevitably spent a very long time accomplishing nothing, but that's an entire other issue that everyone else has already told you about), I want to kill myself. Seriously, it's like the utter, abject misery just seeps into your pores. Just go to another branch. They may not be a whole lot better at doing their jobs (although they couldn't possibly be any worse), but at least you're not putting your mental health at risk just by stepping inside.

  • Lara Disraeli

My experience at this post office was fantastic! The people at the counter were helpful and knowledgeable. I was not looking forward to spending any time waiting in line at the post office since I had just spent 31/2 hours at the Bureau of vital statistics waiting to get a birth certificate for a passport. The clerks were great and the line moved quickly. It was a really good experience, and I would recommend this particular post office to everyone. I wish people would consider leaving positive reviews because this place deserves some.

  • L D

Worst run USPS I have ever experienced. There is always a very long line, The supervisor is very disinterested in assisting anyone, she would rather do her online shopping on her cellphone than help. I asked her if she could assist with the long line, many elderly waiting, she looked up from her phone she had on the counter in front of her computer and said " I can't, they ( The 2 P.O .employees at counters who were working very hard) are union employees and I am not allowed to do their job" .... something is very wrong about this.

  • Megan Velkovich

I have to give this post office some back up from all of these negative reviews. I've only ever had to call them twice, and they answered both times. The few times I've had to go in, the lines have been long, but they seemed to get through them as efficiently as possible. I will say that a couple of members of the staff seem as if they just need to retire and stop being bothered by customers, but most of them are pleasant and helpful. I've never had any issues with the staff or with them getting my things where they need to go.

  • Maryam Fernandez

I walked into this post office pleasantly surprised to see there wasn’t too long of a line. I walked up to the cashier when I was called with a nice attitude, only to be treated rudely by Howard. I did not know that “Parcel Post” was now known as retail ground, and he popped an attitude with me about it rather than just helping me. There’s a reason all the post offices have such bad ratings, and it’s because of irate employees like this guy Howard. I rather go to the UPS store and pay a little more to get better service.

  • Carlos C

HORRIBLE SERVICE STAY AWAY! This USPS is a total sham! Stay FAR away if you care about your goods or anything you mail. Even when paying for their priority services your mail might as well be garbage. Better off driving to you items to their destinations then lettings this flunkies handle you items. Also for those of you who dont know, be careful with Howard, older black guy who works the counter. He lives in 100% "I hate everything mode". He throws things at customers and doesn't care the slightest about customers.

  • Treavor Wagoner

I love where this USPS is located and the self-serve kiosk works properly. I've never interacted with staff except when a man kindly held the door open for me. Where to improve: better lit parking lot at night for safety. When using the address for directions, Google Maps can take you to behind the USPS i.e. the other side of the wall on Woodcrest. Update: The staff is awesome. The supervisor is not much of a people person. This location has two self-serve kiosks. One of them doesn't work all the time.

  • David Richards (AtmosGear)

I would give no stars if I could. This has got to be the absolute worst post office in the entire US. I was expecting a package today from them from Amazon and the USPS cancelled my delivery stating "Customer refused delivery because package was not wanted." I never even saw the package or talked to anyone about it!! Also the mail carrier regularly loses packages or leaves them in the common mail area for anyone to take - they refuse to deliver to your door. Never get anything shipped through this post office!

  • Meredith Entin

In the 12 years I have lived in this zip code, I have had nothing but positive experiences. No lost mail or packages! I believe they say that secure mail delivery is a reflection of the integrity of a country. The USPS makes me proud of my government and country. The fact that they do answer the telephone at the post office and want to help with anything is a huge plus as well. I think we need to support our postal service, local post office and mail person to assure that we will always remain a great country!

  • Jonathan Jackson

I am new to Texas and have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism in my entire life. Been waiting for a package for over 2 weeks to the point I had them hold it at the post office so I could pick it up. They never answer the phone and have literally 1 person running the desk while there’s 10 people in the back sounding like they are having a party. If you need your mail on time you’re better off paying whatever extra fee you have to this post office is a joke they might as well close it down.

  • Ajit Patel

I'm going to give this location a bit of a nudge. When walking in, the two ladies at the desk were not happy. The environment is typically somber lol. I mean who enjoys working? I didn't give 5th star because the place is your typical government office (where you're lucky to be there) with a blah environment. However, Cindy called us up to the window. We went for my daughter's passport renewal. She was very nice and helpful. She double checked everything to perfection and filed our renewal application.

  • Cy Hague

It's December 10 so yes, the post office is busy. At 11:15am they had two cashier reps and a non-cashier rep to help with postage questions and machines. The awesomely helpful gentleman at the non-cashier counter answered all my questions, gave great suggestions and got me a 100+ stack of priority boxes that will work perfectly for my shipment! I was in/out within minutes and happy with the great customer service. It can't be an awesome-every-second job this time of year, so I had to give a shout out!

  • CBD Massage and Wellness

Worst place to have packages sent. We've been with this place since 2008 and you think they would know our box information and who gets mail there. I've filled out a form over 10 times. I went in today and knew there were 3 packages but no yellow slip. They told me nothing was delivered. One was actually delivered 9/22 and I still don't have a yellow slip. Its always a waste of time back and forth. Seriously thinking of say screw it. I can loose packages on my own having them delivered to my home :(

  • WasBob ___

Nice helpful people who always have done what I needed them to do for me. They must put up with rude and impolite people several times a day which must be a super hard way to make a living. Sometimes they have longer wait times and lines because many customers came at the same time. I never wait to the last minute to mail something if I can help it and treat the postal workers the way I want them to treat me. 4 stars because government cuts have made it impossible for the place to be perfect.

  • Heather Witte

Had a part special ordered with no requirements for someone to be home or sign for the package. The morons at the post office sent the package back to the company!!! It was a small package that could easily have been left in the mailbox or at least held at the post office for a day with a notice for me to pick it up, but NO - they SENT IT BACK!!! Now I have to pay for additional shipping and wait another 10 days or pay as much as the item cost in additional shipping charges to get it sooner.

  • Chris Mayfield

This place is awful. This post office lost my kids passports while delivering them. When we called the State Department about what to do they said to get in touch with the currier supervisor. Called multiple times and no answer. Finally went in and waited to talk to someone, told them who I needed to speak to. They said he wasn't there. Took down my name and number and assured me I would get a call the next day, as we will need them in under 2 weeks. 5 days latter no call. Screw these guys

  • Nancy Bain

I have never had a great experience at this post office, and I go out of my way now to avoid it and drive to other post offices when necessary. Things have not changed - still long lines, supplies of forms low or missing, and some staff members are either just barely responsive to customers’ needs or downright rude. And the fact that there are always customers in there who don’t mask up, makes it dangerous for me, not to mention the staff. I dread having to go there in the near future!!

  • Jennifer Hero

This is the worst post office I have ever used, and I've lived in 2nd world countries. In just 5 years I have had checks stolen (before they got to my mailbox) and forged, plus no fewer than 6 other packages disappear into thin air, with no help from the post office. I believe the guy responsible for my missing packages is no longer responsible for my mail, and the women doing it now are great, but I'm thrilled to be moving out of this post office's jurisdiction.

  • Jeff Braddock

They do not answer the phone, they are belligerent if they do answer, and assign blame to the customer when they fail. Not sure why ANYONE continues to use USPS, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Cheap rates=crap service. Been waiting for a 'guaranteed delivery' package since Friday, and their website hasn't updated since Wednesday, when it originally left the carrier. Well done, USPS. You're actually less reliable than the Pony Express from the 1800s.

  • Rick Herrera

I just received the WORST service at this place! I witnessed the woman in front of me experience great service from Howard. When I approached, he threw the stamps at me and said I had to put them in myself or he wouldn’t send them out. This man is obviously a narcissistic and a racist!! I completely despise coming to this location because of him, but I will continue to come and give him bad reviews until he either gets kicked out or changes his attitude.

  • May Night

Incredibly rude staff every time I’ve come here. Would give zero stars if I could. “What do you want?” when I approach the window. The lady rolled her eyes at me when I asked for a tracking receipt today. During my visit last week, the guy told me that I wasn’t packaging something correctly and told me to redo it and get in the back of the line without offering to help. It’s insulting. Not to mention that the lines are incredibly long. Not coming back.

  • Johnson Wu

This post office is hidden and not much of big traffic, but sturdy of people coming in and out. Marla helped me today, and she took her time to explain of what to do, then even help me tape up the back of the envelope that I'm sending to IRS. I also have a returned mail which postage was lost, I gave her that same envelope with new stamp, she took her time to use marker to blackout all barcodes, so the envelope can reach to where it needs to go.

  • Joshua

I have had 5 packages returned to sender with no reasons given after calling in to ask. I'm told to put a note with my name in the mail box and it would resolve the issue, I've put 4 notes, 1 taped in each corner, and still get random packages sent back. They are more than happy to send me previous renters mail, but refuse to deliver most of my mail. Its literally random if I'll receive my packages or have them sent back. Makes no sense at all.

  • Margarita Barron

There is always 1 person working. Especially, Thursday through Sat. Expect to wait in line for about 35 to 45 minutes or longer. When picking up mail/packages, you have to wait about 2 days to get it from when you receive the notice in your mailbox. Apparently, carriers take their time with sending mail/packages back to the facility for customer pick up. I truly wish this wasn't the post office I have to go through for my mail.

  • Vijay Babu

I went to post a priority express courier and waited for around 1 hour in line. Only one counter is open and its slow like a sloth. Even after a day my courier haven’t reached the destination. So I went again next day to found out that my courier still lying there in the mail box. They forgot about it :( Kind request to anyone who visits this, please be extra careful if you are sending any important time sensitive documents.

  • T Cameron

1. Not enough front desk postal employees. 2. Supplies are few. 3. Outside landscape has an abundance of debris from February 2022, tall grass and trash. It looks like the location is about to enter foreclosure, if it was possible. WTH is going on here?! One of the worst postal locations and it appears no one cares. Go to the Far West location for friendly service, cleanliness, postal supplies, and a well-kept environment.

  • Ian Hanchey

Bafflingly poor service, they never answer the phone, when dropping by in person all of the workers are incredibly rude. I purchased a PO Box and while large enough to fit the packages I’ve had shipped to me all they do is leave the “sorry we missed you” slips which means you have to sit in line for 20/25 minutes just to get to the window and catch an attitude for their short coming. If you can avoid, absolutely avoid.

  • Michelle Stark

I have been calling for 4 days and nobody ever answers. I moved and filled out a forward mail form, got the confirmation letter to my new address but have not received mail from my old address yet. It has been a month. I made a report and was told that the carrier/ supervisor had 24 hours to get back to me and never heard back. Now I am holding for consumer affairs (10 min so far). I just want to know where my mail is.

  • Claudia

Okay so I just left this place and tried to follow the survey link on the receipt but it’s not very clear and it’s hard to leave actual feedback through that method. So here I am. Clerk 11, I believe her name is Malory, was amazing. Went above and beyond to assist me with correctly mailing out my package and I believe her work needs recognition. Along with the rest of the ladies there. They’re all amazing and helpful.

  • CM Combs

This lady refuses to deliver packages!! Does not even attempt to view if any lockers are available at the apartments I live at and/or deliver to door, even if its requested. She arrives to drop off mail around 1 pm but yet its scanned here that she attempted at 8:12 am. This is unacceptable and unprofessional, they need to do their job. I paid to get packages delivered, not for me to go to the post office to pick up!

  • Taylor Smith

Most unprofessional, incompetent group of people I have ever dealt with. From the mailman to the manager, it's a comedy of errors at this place. They've lost 3 of my packages in the last year, delivered another 5-10 to the wrong address that I (luckily) found on my own, and blamed me for each time they screwed up. Keep it up guys, maybe you'll help speed up the defunding of USPS altogether. We can only hope!

  • Alex Bonelli

this is the worst post office I have ever dealt with. They have marked multiple packages undeliverable and SEND THEM BACK TO SENDER. These are orders from Amazon and the likes. I have received several orders in the past with the SAME EXACT ADDRESS. I don't know what is happening recently but you are better off having your parcels delivered through another carrier than using this post office. HORRIBLE SERVICE

  • keyi Wang

Indifferent service attitude! A lady's cold face always scares me so the documents I sent were detained by the customs. I went back and asked the staff of the post office, and they said: It has nothing to do with us, we are only responsible for receiving and sending. So you guys just collect the money and not deliver it Please go to Post office cedar Park, they are nice and friendly, always helpful!

  • John Nixon

They won't answer the phone, ever. Had the 800 # redirect me to them to ask a question about my mail service. I tried 3 days to get someone to pickup and just had to take time off work to come in. Post Office looks in extremely poor condition, grounds are overgrown with downed branches all over. Looks like zero maintainence is performed. Only 2 window workers with huge line at 2p on a week day.

  • Dany Gutierrez

My packages were supposed to be delivered almost 6 months ago. Those packages are green cards! And they said that since it's been a long time, probably the postwoman (or whoever delivered it) won't remember. Good to know! If I search for the tracking numbers on their website, both were delivered, however we do not have them in our hands. Terrible service. And, they claim no responsibility. WTF?

  • Yuta Inoue

Mailbox key replacement requested 1 month ago and still no progress. Submitted mail hold request twice but that also didn't work. I knew their "I'll call you tomorrow once we figure out" was a lie but didn't expect it to this bad. At this point I don't know what I should do to get my mail... Honestly I feel like my request is intentionally ignored unless this wait time is usual for everyone

  • Randy Butternubs

I'm only giving one star because I can't go lower. I haven't received mail in 2 months. No one is helpful. I had to call and wait on hold 10 different times in one day just to be hung up on and ignored each time. Abandon all hope ye who enter here. God is dead and this post office is his coffin. My new goal in life is to one day buy this property so I can destroy it and build a public pool.

  • Angela Marotta

They lost a vital record. They had it in my informed delivery, but it was never delivered. I was told not to report it missing on my dashboard and to just keep waiting. By the time, I finally reported it, the link had expired. That document cost $25 dollars and took 3 months to get here (it's a marriage certificate out of New York) and they just told me to order another one.

  • Classy Turtle

They’ve lost 3 packages of mine, and have never once even attempted to rectify. I’ve filled out at least 6 forms where they’ll ‘contact’ me. Not a single phone call or text ever. Attempted to ship a prepaid label item and they refused to even tape it to the container I just purchased. Absolutely worthless and the worst post office and employees I’ve dealt with anywhere. 0/5

  • Wes Ogilvie

Horrendous customer service. I contacted USPS online to mention slow package deliveries. Amber was assigned to reply to my concerns. She blames COVID-19 for every delay. She's rude, abrupt, and dismissive. She refuses to believe there's anything else wrong and will not escalate the problem, even when it's potentially further up the line at the regional distribution center.

  • Infinity Conerstone

This is the most unprofessional business I have come across. I have been trying to retrieve undelivered packages and have had no luck. Nobody answers the phone and when they do (once) the employee was so rude and short with me. I do not know how the management system works here but it seems they will need to take action and start again to rebuild this branch.

  • Alicia J

The customer service here is absolutely ridiculous!!! From the manager down they have no sense of what customer service is. Everyone should not be made to use the selfie serve machine after standing in line for 15 mins. They will be the first to complain when these machines take your job because you not willing to show your value in assisting a customer.

  • Kyle Putman

Had to pick up mail in person because someone drove into our streets mailbox. Handed them my state ID to verify my address which was taken to the back to retrieve my mail. They returned with the mail but not my ID and were not able to find it after 30 minutes of searching. All they could offer was to call me if it turned up. Unbelievable.

  • Mary Ann Pezar

Wait time cannot be predicted for a post office. I had an international pkg and was leary after reading reviews. There was a wait but not unreasonable. Once we got to the counter, it went quickly. I had all customs forms filled out n ready. No complaints at all! Crew on Sat a.m 12/16 /17 moved everyone along in a timely manner.

  • Isis Valencia

Rhonda is rude as hell and likes to throw your parcels about five to eight once you give them to her. The mail carriers constantly lose my mail and it's been no less than THREE weeks since my package was lost. Do yourself a favor, use FedEx or use a different branch cause these folks clearly hate their jobs and the customers.

  • BRUCE BOWLES

Called a dozen times. Sometimes it rings 8 or 9 times. You can literally hear them pick up the receiver and slam it back down. Called because I dropped a package inside the lobby, in the mail drop on Sunday afternoon. It's Tuesday and the package has still not been scanned. Looked at their reviews 1.8 stars. Terrible.

  • Jonathan Cortinas

Terrible service and employees seem to not know what is going on. When I was waiting at the designated area to pick up mail the line was 6 people long and when I went to let an employee know that the bell to notify the back room staff wasn’t working she looked at me and did nothing until I went up for the fourth time.

  • Julia McKee

Jeeze no wonder y'all have 1.8 Stars. These people seriously suck. Please save urself and go to the Far West or Northcross locations. There they're kind, paitent, and honesty sweet. Here every single one of them is rude and dismissive. Go literally anywhere else. Walking it to ur loction would be better

  • Mario Harvey

easily one of the most poorly trained and inept post offices I have ever been to and most post offices are already not that great. they lost packages of mine and really didn't care at all. the struggle to render basic post office services. the reviews of this place right. do not trust this place.

  • Scott Swain

Rarely enough workers to handle the number of "customers". Usually 1 or 2. Extremely long wait times. Half the time the workers have a bad attitude. Phone service drops inside the building so have to make sure before walking in to access any kind of info I may need to use during the transaction.

  • Cindy S

Some of the staff is actually very helpful and professional-Rajini I believe was the name of the really nice clerk who helped me. However, I noticed another person being rude and impatient with other costumers and I overheard a few complaints about their mailed not being delivered.

  • M Murray

Rarely get a pleasant helpful person. When in person. Recently had an issue with a package delivery. A supervisor from the Balcones station left a message and phone number and asked me to return the call. I tried 4 times and the phone rang for over 3 minutes each time. Terrible.

  • Will Brandt

Part of me feels bad for the employees here, it's blatantly obvious that this place is understaffed. But that doesn't excuse the poor service. I requested my mailbox to be rekeyed about a month ago and there's really no saying when they will actually get around to doing it.

  • Caleb Healy

Rudest, laziest, most condescending employees I’ve ever dealt with in a post office. They will set on your packages for weeks, if they decide NOT to steal them. No wonder the postal service is dying. Use fedex, ups, dhl, or a carrier pigeon before using the USPS.

  • Mr. Banks

Shoutout to ZEKE for coming through and making the corrections to our mail. It showed delivered in the parcel but I never had the key. He shows up and was more than happy to help find my package in all the parcel lockers Thanks again ZEKE THE MAILMAN!!!!

  • Savannah

quick and easy applying for my passport, didnt even take 10min and the lady was very nice!! Update: ladies in the front were super helpful and kind! lady in the back giving me my package seemed like she really hated her job and was taking it out on me
