Second Review I recently had a bike accident. Gabe was amazing. On the day of the accident he advised me what I should do. He quickly did a bike assessment and coached me through the options of what I needed to do. I received my new bike this week and rode it today for the first time. I felt very well looked after by Gabe and his team and also the Urban Pedaler cycling community who supported me through my recovery by keeping in touch and giving me tips on how to get ‘back on the bike’ once my recovery was over. Thank you once again Gabe, team and community. Outstanding service. First Review I recently purchased two beautiful road bikes for myself and my daughter Chloe. We also asked Gabe to help us with a bike rack for our car that holds four bikes for our family. Liaising with Gabe and the team has been the most exceptional retail experience I have ever received. They helped me and my family with everything we needed and they exceeded our expectations every step of the way. From: getting ‘fitted correctly’ up front; working through the best bikes and accessories we needed to get started; teaching me how to ride my bike confidently; teaching me how to change a flat tyre; and allowing me to practice my ‘clip on‘ shoes in the store before getting out on the road. I am now riding and enjoying my new bike consistently and we have set ourselves up so we can ride every weekend as a family. Right from my first enquiry, the service was excellent. Booking was made and I received an email with complete information on what to expect and how to prepare. My fitting was conducted by Paul Davis, started with a basic run down of my sporting and cycling history and also what my goals for the fit and my cycling in general. My main goals were to reduce numbness in my hands and general comfort. Preparation was thorough, checking stance, flexibility. They use the Guru system with a bike jig, initially replicating my bike geometry. First item was to check saddle, measured my sit bones and tried 3 different saddles, all were good but stuck with my existing saddle. Next, got my shoes and cleats into the optimal position then on to saddle height and position. Finally looked at stem length and handlebars, ended up with a 10mm longer stem and narrower handlebars. Turns out that the numbness was coming from my bars being too wide. All the changes were made overnight and picked up the following morning. Have since been for a 90 minute and 2.5 hour ride and experienced zero hand numbness! Also was able to comfortably ride on the hoods and drops and felt great during and after. After thoughts, could not be happier with the outcome, and the process was very professional throughout, Paul is a very experienced cyclist and knows all the questions to ask in order to achieve a great result. All in all Urban Pedaler get two (non-numb) thumbs up from me!

What a great experience, Urban Pedaler is definitely a customer oriented business and hats off to Gabe. Purchased a Tacx NEO 2T indoor trainer from Urban Pedaler online at a great price. Got a quick response after the purchase by phone and email. Gabe monitored the dispatch and a minor courier issue. Once the trainer was picked up by the courier it was delivered the very next day, fantastic considering I live interstate! Love the Tacx Neo T2 indoor trainer so far. It was easy to setup and I immediately noticed how quiet it was compared to my previous trainer. The Tacx NEO 2T is in my view worth the extra cost. It does not require ongoing calibration and there is no belt to replace.

Hands down the best bike buying experience I've had ever. Treated like a normal person, not talked down to like other elitist bike shop staff. The fitting process was second to none. Gabe and team carefully understood my body type, and explained the geometry of bikes in my price range. No pushy sales, no random extras. I purchased a CAAD10 at a great sale price, best deal I could reach anywhere on Melbourne. I would strongly recommend the trip to Bentleigh to see these guys. I'm just so happy with the result of my purchase, my new bike fits perfectly after we changed a couple of stock parts to better fit my body (only $30 extra). Go Urban Peddler!!

With my most recent experience with the Service and Sales Team, i have nothing but positive feedback. My Cannondale Synapse 16 was serviced quickly, efficiently, professionally and of course, cleaned :-) I bought my bike back in 2016 and keep going back - awesome Team. My main dealings have been with Gabe, Paul, Charlie and of course Murray. Gabe organsied my new Yakima EVO 2 Bike Rack hitch mount and Charlie installed it and showed me how it operates and of course how to load the all important bikes !!! Bonus - it's still on !! I have no hesitancy in recommending Urban Pedaler to get a custom built competitive priced bike - or even off the shelf.

I did a Bike Fit in-store with Paul Davis and he was super helpful, extremely knowledgable and generally an affable bloke who has helped me take my riding to the next level. Gabe, Charlie and the team are much the same and their experience and passion for riding manifests in helping customers of all levels and growing the riding community sans the condescension you might experience at a number of other stores around Australia. I've just ordered a new bike with them and can't wait to utilise their talents and resources in putting it together and maximising my riding capabilities.

Had a bike fit done as I’m new to cycling and wanted to have a good starting point to reference from. The guys there are very friendly and knowledgeable, and the experience felt completely tailored to my experience level. I’m feeling confident and comfortable with the changes they’ve made to my bike as a result. They were also helpful with training drills, advice and are just generally very approachable. Felt a bit like talking to friends more than typical sales staff. If you’re just getting into it, I don’t think there’s a better place to go for your bike, equipment, fitting or advice.

Gabe went above and beyond helping me find a bike rack that a) would hold at least two e-mtbs and b) would tilt down far enough from a very high hitch to allow a super short person to be able to lift said heavy e-mtb onto the rack. He even went as far as lending me his personal rack to see if it would suit. Alas, it didn’t, but he did sort me out with a Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 rack which tilts down enough for me to lift my bike onto and is super easy hitch and unhitch. Highly recommend this store for all your biking needs!!!

Long time customer of Urban Pedaler. Recent purchase was a set of Zipp Firecrest 404 Carbon Clincher wheels for my Cannondale CAAD 10. After many discussions of lots of alternatives, the advice from Gabe and the team helped me to make the right purchase decision in the end. The best bike shop in Australia. I travelled from Sydney to pick up my bike from Gab. I am so happy that I have purchased my bike from Gab. The staff at Urban Pedaler are the real asset they are professionals and always friendly. Had bike fitting with Paul that made a huge difference on long ride. A special mention to Cam the master mechanic who worked on my bike. What a top bloke. I can watch Cam working on the bike all day. It is like an art form.

Great experience with Gabe and the team at UP. They made sure my gravel bike was the right size prior to ordering by way of using their bike fit knowledge and GURU fitting experience to simulated stem lengths, spaces and seatpost height requirements. 100% if youre planning a high end build or looking for comfort and or power gains I'd recommend spending the time and a small amount of money to get the desired outcome. Recently purchased a trainer so I could ride at home. They put the cassette on for me so it was a quick set up to get riding. Really pleased with the phone service while I was enquiring and the follow up conversations were great. Will definitely shop here when it all returns to normal or online if I need something for the cave. No contact pickup was great. Everything put straight into my boot, receipt attached to the box.

We went in today to see the team. What an amazing experience. We needed a four-bike rack. Unavailable in most of Melbourne, we made the 30 min trip down to the store. Every step of the way the team supported us through our purchase, with the team even helping us to build the rack and test it on the car. It worked perfectly and we're off to our holiday with the bikes on the back. 10/10. Thank you!!

Can't express enough how happy and impressed I am with the entire team at Urban Pedaler (Thanks Gabe & Justin!). They were able to help me get my hands on one of the last GT Grade Carbons in the area and to set it up as per my riding needs. If you're trying to get faster and transfer power, turns out a quality bike fit and quality shoes can make all the difference. Shimano RC7 shoes along with the Shimano in soles have managed to align heel, knee and hip. A big thanks to Paul and Gabe for all the fine tuning to getting the most out of my riding position.
