I asked for help and this is what I got!! I went to Walgreens on the 6thand 8th of July at 30 N MICHIGAN AVE Chicago, IL 60602 I again and again I receive such poor customer service! I would like to send you a snapshot of both employees who refused to help me! The first one July 6th a gentleman at the counter refused to help me find a way to look at my Walgreens app to see if I had any rewards. I posted a review that day in the website of that store! I showed him my phone and he just stood there and refused to look at my phone and tell me if I had any rewards. He just stood there and made no effort to look at my phone and help me, he just stood in the same position for about maybe 3-4 minutes. I’m shocked at his unwillingness to help a customer. The receipt is stamped at 1:07pm, please look at me handing my phone to him over the counter and his refusing to look down at the phone to show me! On July 8th I went and I was such going to buy cigarettes and so I just stood in line right away. I asked for one pack of L&M menthol “short” cigarettes. She checked and right away she said, “ we don’t have any!” I also saw that there was none showing and I asked her to please check to see if she has a carton to stack up and give me a pack please . She without blinking just said “no we don’t have any!” I was upset that she made no intent to look for a carton at all! I’m furious as to how poor your customer service and her lack of willingness to help a customer! Her name is Juanita and this I know because I took a picture of her to post in website of her unwillingness to help a customer like the gentleman before her! I had to walk about 10 blocks to the next Walgreens at 410 N Michigan Avenue and the absolute thing happened again when an employee absolutely “refused refused” to look for a carton to restock!! I begged her twice to please check somewhere in the back or behind the counter to see if she might have a carton and had to just restock!! She refused she said twice “no we don’t have any” without as so much checking at ALL!! She refused to check so I had to buy the L&M 100’s because I was too tired to walk anymore!! The time stamped was for July 8th at 3:25pm and so I was at the first store around maybe 3:10pm or 3:00pm with Walgreens employee Juanita! I am so perplexed as to how Walgreens hire people who are unwilling to help customers!! I don’t don’t understand! They made absolutely no effort or movement to even bother to look! I cannot believe their lack of customer service skills and unwillingness to help!
I frequent Walgreens almost daily and every weekend, I buy my son one of those die cast cars Walgreens sells. After searching around for more than 15 minutes, none of the employees knew where they were at. I finally stumbled on them in a hidden corner in the back of the store by an elevator. Then unknowingly, I was yelled at by a worker that I can't be there since he couldn't see me with his cargo. I asked if these cars were for sale and he responded, "yes two for $12 but I can't have you here looking at them I could have run into you this." I said, "you just said they sell these so this is why I am here." He said he still can't have me back there to which I replied, "them they shouldn't be in this spot". Was ignored and hearts profanities under his breath. To make my shopping experience worse, during checkout one of the workers demanded that people make 2 lines (it wasn't even that busy) and told me to move to the next register. I had one person in front of me and was yelled at again "SIR... SIR YOU NEED TO COME OVER HERE NOW" At this point I was really aggravated by the rudeness and replied, "You told me to stand in this line and I'm not moving again" she continued to argue while holding up her own line and before she was finished, I was already being checked out. So not only did she offend me but in the process, pissed off everyone in her line waiting to be checked out. This is without a doubt, the worst Walgreens customer service I have ever received. Do yourself a favor and walk 3 blocks to the Walgreens on State and Randolph they seem to have a grasp on how to be courteous to customers and have at least double the volume of this Walgreens. They need new employees and some form of management. Never again...
I was there to pickup my online order. As soon as I told them it was a pick up order, the associate rolled her eyes and made a grumpy face, as if I caused them a huge inconvenience. They then tried to reluctantly search for my order and did not find it. They said it was probably canceled because I did not pick it up within 72 hours. That was untrue because I did not receive an order cancelation email nor was it 72 hours since I ordered. After looking in the system, they then said someone picked it up in the morning. They said anyone could pick it up if they said my name. This was untrue again because I didn't receive an order picked up email. And that sounds like fraud If they are not checking id's of the pickup person. They then canceled the order so that I don't get charged. I didn't understand how they can cancel an order that was picked up. Really disappointed by the staff at this Walgreens location. They tried to help but didn't have any idea or didn't have the authority to fix the problem. I am never picking up an order at this Walgreens location again.
Not a good experience if you are doing anything other than getting a prescription filled. The pharmacy itself is adequate and staff is fairly quick and organized. The sales floor? Half of the items are locked up. Even body shampoo and deoderant are locked up. It makes it feel very uninviting and honestly, I'm not going to wait for their staff (who are hard to find) to unlock a case so I can get a stick of deoderant when I can go a block and a half over to a bigger Walgreens that doesn't put benign items under lock and key. Add that to the fact that there is always a huge line of people waiting to check out, regardless of time of day, and there have been many times when I've grabbed something only to put it back on the shelf because I can't wait 10 minutes to be checked out. It's right across the street from my work; that's why I keep going there quarterly for my prescriptions. But the storefront has been a worse and worse experience every time.
The button for the disabled and wheel chair people was broken. I was with my aunt whom is in a wheel chair and if I was not with she would not been able to get in or out. I then talked to a supervisor and asked how to make a complaint I was then lied to and told that only when the second door is closed will the other open. I said ok as we leave we try to use it again. This time both doors are closed and THE DOOR STILL DID NOT OPEN. I was angry but didn't want to cause any problems. Our older people and handy capable people already have many obstacles during the day and this should not be one of them all the way in 2017. All and all a bad experience for me and my aunt sad part is she goes to Roosevelt college close by and that would be a nice place for her to grab something quickly but not if you are not sure if you will be able to get in or out by yourself....
The whole brand has completely changed and went to the wolves!! All the pharmacies have employees with horrible attitudes and the most unfriendliness disposition from the south side to downtown! It’s just bad and I’ll never use them again not even for .79 toilet paper because even that’s changed to worse. They don’t care about customers nor customer service looks like they most of em’ barely want to work so why reopen them…. All of locations on south side should’ve stayed closed after the riots!
The only issue I had at this Walgreens was the cashier. I don't recall the person's name. All I can remember is that he was an African-American gentleman with dreadlocks. The guy had no enthusiasm at all and spoke VERY quietly. I had to say "what" so many times because he did not bother to speak up. This occurred at night so maybe he was tired. Hopefully he is not that way to all his customers. Aside from that, the store itself is not bad. Nothing out of the ordinary in that place.
The staff is absolutely rude. We went in to look for a restroom to change our infant daughter. I went to the back as my husband looks around for snacks to purchase and this employee almost tackles me. She screams "where are you going?!!!" As I stood at the end of an isle next to the pharmacy. When I told her what I was looking for she screamed again "we dont have public bathrooms!" Customers around us were now staring at us. I made my husband put everything back. Shame on her.
My first time in Chicago was amazing except for the visit to this specific Walgreens, 30 N Michigan Ave, Lbby 1, Chicago, IL 60602. Worst customer service ever. The cashier was rude, disrespectful, and discriminating. His attitude was horrible and the managers wasn't any better. If you need to go to a walgreens or pharmacy I suggest you go to CVS or any other walgreens just make sure it isn't this one...
Great customer service was looking crazy for a nasal spray that I couldn't find at any convenient store. Simple enough a pharmacy employees saw me dumbfounded looking for something and with the ask for help and a little searching found exactly what I was looking for glad the employee went out of his way to help me.
Sorry to report this, but the store is prowled by aggressive, fake-homeless beggars who hurl foul-mouthed insults at customers who don't patronize their scams. Store clerk was sympathetic but said that the cops take 15 minutes minimum to arrive after being called. Unsafe.
Walgreens, all your needs in one convenient location. One of the premier leaders in the "convenience store" field, Walgreens has almost anyhting you could possibly need, available to you at a moments notice. All in all, a premier location to shop at a moments notice.
Waking on Michigan avenue this Walgreens in convenient and easy to access. The store is off a good size and was able to get what I wanted. I did ask someone a question and I got an answer right away. Overall it was a good location to stop by.
They tried my card 7 times because the chip and slider don't work, which put a fraud notice on my card. As I stepped out of line to call my card, they put my stuff away so I had to go find it again. Thanks a lot guys.
Unfortunately, after a great manager left, this pharmacy has fallen apart. I got a call that medication Is ready. After spending 30 minutes, I walked out without the medication because the assistant couldn't find it.
Went by around 4p 7/24/22 Manager just stood by while a bunch of people were in line, did not get behind a register or tell someone else to get behind a register. Was in line for 15 minutes to check out
Walgreens is struggling. The lack of self checkout lanes is crazy. They gave a bunch of money to Elizabeth Holmes for a product that didn't exist, but they can't put self checkout in their stores!!!
Pharmacy is absolutely terrible. They tell you they'll fill a prescription but when you come back to pick it up you find out they never actually had the drug in the first place. Jesus.
Nice, clean store. Knowledgeable pharmacists. Helpful customer service. Also, helps A LOT that it's open later than most other places around the area. Great store.
Conveniently located, with a wide selection of products. The staff is very helpful in locating and recommending products.
Es una mujer prepotente vashwa que no sabe dar atención al cliente, para que están ahí si son groseras mejor q renuncie
The employee that I interacted with was nice and helped me out find an item I was looking for!
Excellent pharmacist, she’s so helpful and I would absolutely recommend this Walgreens !
Friendliest & knowledgable staff at this pharmacy! Thank you Emily & Pharmacist Hannah!
The pharmacy is open 7a - 8p and the staff is friendly. Pretty good as these places go.
Tried to buy toothpaste took 20 minutes for one of the unmotivated people to unlock it
Pharmacist not helpful. Claimed my medical insurance expired when I still employed
Nice selection of the bare essentials. Sometimes street musicians play in front.
Great bedside manner by the pharmacist on duty when I picked up a prescription.
That one stop shop for all the excedrin you will need for the night to come.
i got two new nail polishes that i have been wanting and a great concelear!
They had exactly what I needed....I should add not all Walgreens are equal.
When did Walgreens get so bad?? All of the employees are very rude here.
Walgreens is always perfect for pharmaceutical as well as grocery, etc
They are rude as ever. They're just a young and dumb kind of staff.
They are very efficient and helpful for a small very busy store.
Has all your basic needs. Everything here is overpriced though.
You can buy your basic needs. But prices are not reasonable.
Convenient location, but pricy. Go to target two blocks away
As pharmacy excellent experience.
