First and last experience. Having just moved to the area Hoyts Broadmeadows is my local cinema so naturally that’s where we went. We were out I. 20 minutes. It was like a nightclub in there. Teens jumping around, talking loudly and sometimes yelling. Even the adults were quite loud. The teens were obviously bringing in multiple friends on the same ticket as they went in and out. Hate to hang this on the staff but there was 0 presence. No one checked our tickets. Reading previous reviews it looks like a common issue so why aren’t they proactive? You see a large group of teens you should know that’s who need to keep an eye out. Yet after 20 minutes of essentially party level noise, no one had come to intervene. Very disappointing. Grateful that the staff refunded our tickets with little fuss.
Avoid!! You’re not going to enjoy your movie. Teenagers coming in not even watching the movie, talking, getting up and constantly on their phone. Had someone bring in a baby once and cried throughout the movie until someone yelled for them to take the baby outside. Had a family come in and the dad talking on his phone with no interest in the movie. Had someone stand directly in front of other viewers for 2 minutes looking for his seat, yelling for his mate.. not sure if blind but clearly inconsiderate. Very disrespectful patrons. Only good time to go is when everyone’s in school or at work. Even then, there’s kids with no life coming in and you still won’t entirely enjoy the movie. And staff not doing anything about this problem.
Ideally Located at Broadmeadows Central Entertainment Prescint, Hoyts is supposed to offer a Cinematic Experience for all the Family to enjoy. However, there seems to be a lack of disregard for unruly patrons, that go there to spoil the night for other cinema goers. This is due to the fact that even thou tickets were numbered, there was a bunch of about 12 Teenagers, that went from one spot to another before and during screening. They were noisy, threw things about, were stepping on sits and constantly walking or even running out of cinema or to other sitting area. Staff should be more observant to put a stop to this issue or else paying patrons wont go back to that Cinema complex.
We left 10-15mins after screen time (3.40pm) simply because it was unsafe & not worth the energy to confront disrespectful, ill mannered idiots with big egos. Management happily refunded our tickets & noted he sent 2staff members in and apologised. We recommended an adult staff member manage the situation, it wouldn’t be fair for any teenage staff member to request a group of 15+ teenage clowns settle down or leave. Recliners were clean & relaxing before the unexpected clown performances. Surely Hoyts don’t pay staff members or management enough to deal with such rubbish.
Go at your own risk. Locality is bad and people coming there are inconsiderate and arrogant. No one checks tickets in mornings and these teenagers would come in and create nuisance inside the theatre. We had couple of girls who did not buy their tickets and sat in our seats. When asked to move, starting giving us attitude instead. Maybe make it free movie for everyone. Avoid this Hoyts if you want to enjoy the movie. Seems like owners/people running this Hoyts are scared or ignorant or maybe belong to the same community to take any actions.
The cinema renovations is the only positive unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend anyone go there if you actually want to watch and hear the movie. The majority of the patrons are absolute rude imbeciles. They probably use our hard earned money that they receive from centrelink to go and talk or use their phones and ruin the experience for those who actually spend a lot of money to watch. The staff are helpful but unfortunately they can't teach animals manners. Don't go there! Go to luxury suite, it will cost more but totally worth it.
Lovely reclining and roomy seats. Big auditorium. Hadn’t been cleaned from previous session with popcorns and the boxes everywhere. There was stale air in the cinema as if the air cons are not working well. Also cinema we used was not clearly labeled as the one with the movie we were to watch. Sound system good. Snacks buying process easy on both app and at the cinema. Pre booking in app quite easy. Some films have limited show times so check way ahead what you are targeting. recommended.
The worse experience ever, the whole time young Arabic kids and young adults.yelling talking about their love story even after telling them many times they didn't not stop and the staff came 2 times during movie the only warning they give to be quite. And after the staff left the would go back to same. It's was the worse movie experience we ever had and we had to leave in the middle of the movie.Till the time we left they were talking. Please avoid at any cost. ❌❌❌
The WORST PATRONS in the world. Had a group in front of us brought in McDonalds and switched their phone light on for the first 20minutes. Even after other patrons yelling at them to turn it off, they refused. Half way through the movie, 1 of them switched their light on again, and started walking up and down the row, seemingly giving out snacks and having a laugh, with no interest in the movie. Completely ruined the experience. Staff need to do more!
We had booked the session for KGF 2 and the voice was too loud. We can’t even stay in the theatre. It was really irritated. In the interval we complaint about this issue but one of the staff said the voice is already on low level but It was not. Disappointed and not satisfied with this cinema. Never ever Come again We are 8 and all of them are not satisfied with the audio quality. Can share my tickets as well if anyone have doubt.
The cinemas are awesome, seats comfortable and recliner I can't complain. But last time I was there I noticed the popcorn comes already made and ready in massive plastic bags and then they pour it down into the "pop corn machine". It didn't look fresh as expected to be and for the amount of money you pay. Other than that friendly staff members and great cinemas. Thanks
It's a nice cinema all things considered, they have good sized screens and recliner chairs, as well as closed caption screens available. Only downside is, you never know what kind of crowd you're going to get. No matter if you're going in the middle of the day or late at night, there's a good chance you'll have teenagers and children shouting throughout the movie.
Lined up and bought my ticket with popcorn and drink, I was Asked to collect my drink and popcorn by staff. Another staff member at pick up collect gives me attitude to go back in line before you collect ( staff member didn’t want to understand that I already lined up ) and trying to make me feel stupid. Communication and attitude needs improvement.
Movie was supposed to start at 10:30, nothing playable on the screen until 11, no explanation. Someone showed up at 10:45 to say there was a technical difficulty but we were not offered to change auditoriums/studios, nor were we offered refunds. It’s 11:05, still no movie. Just an awful experience overall. Won’t come back to this branch probably.
Easy to park and get to the cinema. Outside the cinema there is a Max Brenner’s and couple of other restaurants. Very convenient location. The cinema as usual Hoyts is amongst the best cinemas in Melbourne and far better recliner chairs compared to village. VIP membership is a good deal as well for discounted movie tickets.
Dirty chairs despite of being waited for 15 minutes when it says that cleaning is going on. When it said session has commenced. We went inside and the chairs in the upper half D onwards were all dirty with popcorns on it and used drink cups in the holder. It was cinema 6 Sunday 6.30 show. Very disappointing!
Probably one of the worst crowds I’ve ever experienced. Teenagers constantly talking, on their phones, turning on their flash light and getting up. Parents also on their phones and not even watching the movie. These people are super inconsiderate, very bad parenting. Avoid coming here when’s it’s busy.
I had been there yesterday to watch movie. Everything was good. I had regular combo drinks and butter popcorn.I'm very disappointed with the quality of popcorn. The texture of popcorn was soggy not crispy and doesn't worth the price. I strongly recommend to improve the quality of the popcorn. Thanks.
I have been there with my two kids, 8 years old and 6 years old, and it was a good dayout for kids. I liked it as well but unfortunately I had to watch kids movie . Picture and sound system was good. Seating and temperature was comfortable and staff was cooperative. Overall good experience. …
I love this place! Their recliners are divine - wide and comfy and they are better than some cinemas' gold class seats. Staff is always kind and they show good movies and it is rarely overcrowded. I love that they also sell coffee and proper drinks. I was there last night and totally enjoyed it.
Great ambience and very comfy seating styles. Everything was perfect. Sound, screen, seating, services... 10/10 Just one thing, they close the food service station early in the last session. After the interval, you cannot buy anything so take whatever you want before only in the last session
I have watched plenty of movies here starting from 007, Indian movies, thor and all. It has a good space, washroom and even you can buy snacks. You can book the tickets at the counter or there are two machines available for online booking. Everything is fine. Enjoy the movies. …
Very comfortable and sound is just good enough. For some parts the sound feels like hurting at times as the bass is not at its best even in the Xtreme screens but still better than village cinemas where the seats are the killer; who wants to hurt the back while watching a movie.
Edit: The place is not doing good. Most of the time I feel like the place is understaffed. Service is slow. Sometimes the crowd don't know how to behave decent. And another advice is not to go during day time on school holidays. Too many kids making noise during the movie.
Worst customer service ever, useless people who can’t even process a simple refund. I booked at the wrong cinema online by mistake and asked them for a refund and they said to go online submit a ticket and write a description of what happened! All this for a refund of $27.
We saw The Chosen at the midday showing. There were only 5 or 6 of us. The place was clean and tidy. Parking was terrible. How can you put a limit of 2 hours when movies are two and half hours? Seriously! Way too many ads before the main feature. Staff were professional.
Great customer service, although popcorn was provided pre packed and was cold. Only the outside container of the popcorn was warm. After paying $23 for a popcorn combo, you would expect it to be fresh. There also were heaps of popcorn tucked in on the sides of the seats
Excellent service today. All seating has been upgraded to black recliners and the cinema looks super clean. Toilets were clean. Zero waiting time as plenty of staff there for the school holidays. Highly recommend giving this cinema another go. I was super impressed!
Seats are wrecked. No one at the front serving people. Waited 20 minutes before we just went to coles for movie snacks which means some of us missed the start of the film. Ridiculous only reason its not 1 star is because atleast they had the movies playing.
Worst service you can ever get. Waiting on food for ages you almost miss your movie each time. Staff have no concern for customer service either and you rarely get a smile. If it wasn’t for convenience and the reclining chairs, not a place I’d come often.
Placed an order for a coffee. The manager prepared the coffee, left it on the desk and left the place. Didn’t even have the decency to inform the customer about the order. Note to the manager: Respect everyone person irrespective of their nationality.
Recliner chairs are a nice touch, screen and sound was clear and good, but they have the worst popcorn ever. Pre-packaged in buckets, not fresh, texture was stale like they were sitting there for hours and about as warm as if it was heated
Comfy enough seats that recline although some broken some ripped. Impossible to work out how you can charge close to $20 for medium popcorn and drink. Tickets were already $60 for a family. Well over $100 for a family trip.
Great cinema love love the recliner chairs staff friendly & efficient. Taken my granddaughter twice now she lives in Sunshine but insists we go to your cinema. We'll done. …
The cinema is very clean staff friendly and helpful..on ly down side is the price for the icecream and soft drinks are expensive as a VIP member i get a discount $5.50 for icecream
The cinema itself is great. Modern, comfortable. The problem is that people think they have a right to speak loudly during a movie, without consideration of the rights of others.
Poor customer service the manager was not empathetic or understanding. He showed little to none care factor. No wonder the cinema was empty. I will never visit that Hoyts again.
theater was full of local teens all i could say they were jumping everywhere and saying allah hu akbar loudly during scary scenes. not the best place to go to and watch movie.
Continuous interruptions from unenlightened members of society are not controlled by staff members here. It's the reason people stay home now with their 70" TV. Won't return
Waited for more than half hour. The movie still has not started yet because the studio manager could not operate it. The Marvel logo should be red, right? Not brown …
Had a very good experience watching movie on recliners. Everything was superb. Recliners are in near new condition. Cinemas are clean and staff is friendly and helpful.
Amazing cinema, great location near cafés & eateries but could be a little more clean without popcorns, paper bags and plastic thrown around on the floor and seats.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. The candy bar manager was particularly helpful on one occasion when he assisted with the tickets and pre-purchased food issue.
The movie was great, but people kept coming in and disturbed others by talking too loud and shining their torches on when the movie had already started.
Very nice prices for the comfortable seats and nice service, they have very nice food and they are generous with their snacks100000/10 …
Went to watch the 5 night freddy movie with my kids and it ended up being so boring. The seats were nice but I feel like the claw machine is rigged.
It was very nice and quiet while watching this movie and it was very entertaining and I would always like to revisite this area again in the future.
Every single chair is a recliner. The ticket price is cheap as compared to other cinemas too, which makes it the best cinema hall around Melbourne.
Great place, but could be cheaper for children and pensioners... Prices are a bit steep! Especially after buying popcorn and drinks. …
I think this is my go to cinema. I love the xtremescreen and the best part about this cinema is recliner very comfortable to watch movies.
Watching movie in Hoyts cinema No4 seat H-10 , Recliner broken dont book that number please. And smells like urinal, toilet.
Great Cinema, brand new big leather recliner seats very comfortable.. No extra cost all seats are standard tickets.
Very comfortable movie watching experience, friendly staff, and good theatre equipment. Screens could be cleaner...
Amazing. Unexpected because it's broady. But they have 'XTREME' class screens here too. Very clean. Good job guys.
Hoyts is our favourite cinema it’s nice and clean and so close to go see a movie it’s has reclining seats so comfy
Fantastic place clean environment but the local seems to use mobile phones and talk loud while the movie is on
Loved the mall. ALOT of halal options That was my very first visit to that mall but for sure not the last.
Pretty high class seats and big screen environments, easy to get in and out with disability support also
Great service and recliner chairs at a good price. Our go to cinema which isn’t in our local area.
Absolutely love the recliners and the quality of the extreme screen, I highly recommend this place
Good experience, chairs were great but had no luck on the claw machine. Hopefully back there soon
Comfortable leather recliners. Fantastic price for non gold class price. Very clean. Great sound.
All good but canteen was soooooo expensive 6 dollars for small water bottle that's rip off
The chair’s are a little bit uncomfortable and ripped but otherwise it’s a good cinema
The seats are really comfortable and I love being able to recline my chair and relax.
Watch the little mermaid movie and it was amazing great and friendly staff
Great reclining chairs similar to Melbourne central but with cheaper tix
Watched a 3hr movie and the electric recliners were very comfortable.
First time being a type of movie theater but really good experience
Friendly staff clean and big cinema. Can eat and serve alcohol too!
It is great to have reclining seat for every theatre every seat!
I did not enjoy the sound system of hoyts. It echos alot
Like the lounge chairs in the cinemas. Very comfortable
Good for Arab movies but chairs were not functional
Nope, all seats don't recline. Some are broken!
Adam was really helpful with the inquiry !
The cinema has most comfortable seating.
I like the seats and ambiance :)
Nice reclining seat …
Great recliner chairs.
