"It's an old school type theater that unfortunately attracts an old school type audience; the type that comes from money and thinks the world revolves around them, doesn't understand the concept of an inside voice, and will spend more time on their phone and will make sure everyone around them knows it! It's a shame, too, because this theater tends to show the limited release or Indie films that you normally have to travel out of town to see"
"We had the pleasure of watching the amazing interactive, fun, and awesome movie, "The Room""
"This was my first time ever going to this movie theater I was so impressed I was so happy everything from the customer service window to the comfortable seats everything was clean and the restrooms were sparkling the seats were very comfortably spaced apart and the sound was amazing I will truly be back everyone should experience this place also my mask broke while I was there in the people were nice enough to give me one at the counter free of charge I was truly impressed the snacks were good once again if I could give a higher star rating I truly would on this one"
"This cinema caters to Arthouse & Foreign films"
The Art Cinema is hosted within the Keystone Fashion mall. It's unique among other theaters in the area because it focuses on small independent releases that you won't be able to see anywhere else in the city on the big screen. Ticket prices are about the same as most theaters, perhaps a little cheaper by a dollar. There are some discounts available for some early showing times, about 30%. They have concessions, but these are quite limited. Only soda, popcorn, candy, and ice cream. Also, no free refills. They also serve alcohol and have a bar setup (though it was shut down because of COVID). The theater rooms aren't quite as advanced as what you'd see with AMC, but the padded seats were still comfortable and the room was clean. The sound quality was actually great, though, which helped with immersion. There are no reserved seats, so first come first serve. The staff was quite friendly, and quarantine procedures were practiced, including seating arrangements.
It's an old school type theater that unfortunately attracts an old school type audience; the type that comes from money and thinks the world revolves around them, doesn't understand the concept of an inside voice, and will spend more time on their phone and will make sure everyone around them knows it! It's a shame, too, because this theater tends to show the limited release or Indie films that you normally have to travel out of town to see. You pick your seats when you walk in the theater, so be prepared to relive the days when its just you and a mostly empty theater, some dude still wants to sit right next to you... If you value the theater experience, this probably is the place you would go to if you were in a pinch, but by no means would this be your 'go to.' Normally clean, reasonably good staff, pretty expensive, just a 'meh' type of place that contradicts its surroundings; this the Fashion Mall after all...
We had the pleasure of watching the amazing interactive, fun, and awesome movie, "The Room". The staff handled the event with efficiency and smiles. I really want to acknowledge the young male ticket cashier and manager on duty for making sure our experience was everything we expected!! Please have more viewings of "The Room"!! The crowd is fun, some even dress as characters, and I know it would be a groovy move to show at least twice a month(or more, for hard core fans) Again..thanks for show. In truth, "The Room" has changed a lot of lives for the better through community and laughter. I do want to apologize for spoons! Great venue and lounge.

This cinema caters to Arthouse & Foreign films. It's located inside a shopping center. Film offerings are diverse and cover many time periods. It's an excellent source for many hard-to-find classics as well as first-run films. We saw "Old Boy" (Korean, Park Chan-wook, 26th Anniversary Remaster) at Landmark Keystone Art Cinema. The matinee was reasonably priced; the two guy men at the Ticket Center were enthusiastic: seats=comfy; sound =terrific. There are not that many of these Filmhouses left, so be sure to attend while it's available
It has been quite a few years since I visited this Cinema. I entered the Mall through a side entry closest to the Cheesecake Factory, so the walk was rather lengthy. Nice, but lengthy. Once I arrived, the outside lobby area and entrance of the Theater are aesthetically pleasing. The Theater is clean. Sitting was rather close, confined and cramped compared to other Theater's I frequent. Not a lot of leg room nor elbow room to even slightly relax. Other than seating, a pleasant experience.
I really like going to this theatre for great movies, but I do NOT like it when the time is posted wrong, and I and friends have driven 45 minutes to see a movie that is half over! This has happened twice in about two years. The last time they were nice and gave us a ticket to come back (still a long drive again!), but this time the guy would not do this and went so far as to tell us that it was not a good movie and not to waste our time to return. Is this the way you run a business?
The Arts Cinema is one of the unknown gems of Indy. For film enthusiasts who want to see more indie films, or the movies that wind up getting Oscar nominations, this is one of the only theaters in Indy that has them. On top of that, the Lounge next door is a great place to grab a drink before or after the show. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the seats in the theaters could use some updating, though they are comfortable enough for a movie. Definitely check this place out!
We used to love going here, but our most recent experience will make us think twice the next time. The lobby area is the cleanest part of this place. The bathroom was horribly dirty and very unkept. The theatre (#2) had not been cleaned up from previous showings as we had to find seats that didnt have a glass or popcorn bags already there. Its too bad because the film (Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri) was the only best part of the experience.
Great theater. The individual theaters are fairly small but given the nature of the films they show that’s OK. It’s easy to get to if you go to the back of the Fashion Mall. There is a nice food court not far away if you want to grab something to eat before. The theater also has a nice assortment snacks. There is the traditional popcorn and candy but also things like hummus and specialty coffees. The films are usually unique and worth a watch.
Nice little cinema. Comfy seats, small theater sizes, excellent picture and sound. My only complaint would be that since they serve alcoholic drinks (which I am not against at all) some people lose their inhibition about talking during movies. After a gentle shushing, the women, who felt they were watching a movie at home where they could gab all the way through it whilst sipping their cocktails, were quiet through the remainder of the film.
The staff was nice. Good and drinks were ok. The seats in the theater were so worn out, they showed serious signs of wear. The ones we sat in were not torn, but it would not take much to tear them. They were not very comfortable sitting in either. Even all the carpet inside and out of the theater were worn from frequent walking. It's clear it has been a very long time since it's been updated. It needs serious attention.
What a movie theater should be. Easily my favorite Indianapolis theatre...small intimate venues, hit new releases mixed with art films and challenging films, a bar that invites you to take a brew into the movie, the best popcorn bar none in town and a safe uptown location. Always our first choice if what we want to see is available here. Visit and you will be rewarded with a smile and food for thought.
We saw a pre-screening of Harriett there (GREAT movie, by the way) and it was a great experience! Very clean lobby and ticket area, employees were very friendly, courteous. we were in theatre 5, it was clean, also, and the picture and sound were both excellent. N it was a solid experience and we'll probably go back soon. Didn't try the concessions, but looked and smelled good, we'll try next time.
As it says, a bit on the "artsy" side, in that many of the movies screened here are not going to be at your neighborhood multiplex. They have a bar and coffee in addition to the usual popcorn and candies. As it is in the Fashion Mall, there is also access to fantastic shopping. Incredibly comfortable reclining seats in the smaller theaters makes for an excellent cinema experience every time.
A nice theater with more independent films. I like how they have good quality snacks however; their seats were dusty and not the best of quality (might just be aged). Popcorn was good but not the best price (small was $7). Movie theater was easy to find in the mall; second floor which there are escalators, elevator, and stairs available. They also have military, senior, and child discounts.
It isn't the best, most comfortable, theater like it used to be. But it is still way better than most. It has a great bar with a pretty good beer selection, and friendly staff. The prices aren't great but better than most nearby theaters. The biggest complaint is the small size of the screens, which work hand in hand with long narrow seating areas to make the screens hard to see.
The theater is nice and very comfortable. Its a different kind of movie going experience that I personally love. Its like one of those charming book or coffee shops. However, I gave them three stars because the popcorn didn't taste fresh. It was one of the worst popcorn experiences I've ever had. Of course people go to see the movie; but what's a movie without delicious popcorn.
The seats at Landmarks (Keystone Cross) are terrible and need to be replaced. My partner who has chronic lower back issues was in severe pain for two hours but endured it because we like the movies they show there. When the movie was over, I had to help him get up it was so bad. The seats , even for me are awful. And both of us don't weigh beyond 160 lbs and we're not tall.
There is nothing inherently wrong with this theater, but personally I feel that the prices on food, drinks, and tickets were bumped up to take advantage of it's location inside the mall. The theater itself has decent seating and sound quality. I saw a matinee and would never pay more than that price for the theater, will not be returning.
The best movie theater in greater Indianapolis. If you are looking for movies that you would otherwise have to hunt for exhaustively, chances are they are at the art cinema. The staff is incredibly friendly but I will be forever grateful for understanding there is a demand in Indy for more than the next MCU film (as glorious as they are).
Love the variety of movies showcased here - happy to have somewhere that has more than just the national line-up you find at AMC Theaters. Great amenities at the theater (healthier food options, bar to enjoy drinks at and can take drinks in to theaters). Easy to find theater in mall if you put in Landmark Theater into your GPS search.
Overall experience was excellent. I didn't partake in any refreshments or popcorn as I went on Thanksgiving Day after the dinner. The theatre has booklets for all the movies being shown for you to check what critics have to say and also the settings for the movies to let you know about the movie you might be interested in.
Nice theater, except you can hear the mall janitors pulling their carts on wheels up and down the hallways. I went to see Inside Llewyn Davis and it occurred about every 15 to 20 minutes. I thought it was part of the movie at first, a background sound, until it kept occurring. The noise is really loud and noticeable.
While being somewhat aged, this theater tends to have an older audience which makes some movies more enjoyable. They offer beer and wine, which is a pleasant bonus. Ticket prices are good too, just don't expect the latest and greatest audio and visual presentation. With that said, I have never been disappointed.
Good place to see independent movies that are not normally shown in other theaters nearby. They are located on the second floor in Fashion Place Mall. This establishment also has a bar with some good mixed drinks that you can enjoy during the movie. I highly recommend you check them out before the movie.
This place is such a hidden gem, I almost hesitate to promote it! They show limited release movies that can't be found anywhere else in town. They serve alcohol in the lounge that you can take into the theater. And the kids avoid it! Great place to meet adult friends and see a film, or for a date night.
This is my favorite theater in town. When we want to see a movie, and we're choosing between two different theaters, we usually just go with whichever one is showing at Keystone Arts. The service is fantastic, it's clean, easy to access, and just feels nice. The bartenders are super friendly.
This is my favorite movie theater in Indianapolis. I'm not a big fan of all the flourishes that come with the modern cinematic experience (3D, bionic seating , in house meals etc) I like a comfortable theater with great sound and good service. Landmark at keystone is all that and more. …
I'm from out of town. While in the Indy area, I've seen a few movies at the Landmark. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable and the popcorn is great. The seats are comfortable and the restrooms are clean. I'm sure I'll return in the future.
If I go out to see a movie, I need a better experience than I can get at home. The projection was too dim, the sound seemed to have blown a bass speaker and the picture wasn't accurately focused. The staff is excellent and I commend them for that. But I won't go back.
I never knew this theater existed until my wife made mention. Great place to catch a under draft movie and have an atmosphere that is clean, upscale, and prompt service. You can get a popcorn to a hot chocolate to aid in enjoying the show. Will definitely be back.
The seats here are so unclean! The velvety fabric holds lint and hair so much I felt I couldn't lean my head back or put my arms on the arm rests. Arm rests, seats, cupholders are very dirty, very much in need of cleaning. Ruins an otherwise great location. Ewwww!
Really nice theater that leans toward more artsy movies and more often than not an older crowd. The theaters are small but comfortable. There's a bar for drinks and a concession stand that has some unusual items. It's all house inside the beautiful fashion mall
Nice little theater, decent screens and seats. The mall entrance and parking confusion was a bit problematic and their coffee drinks were unavailable at the time. Also, there was no place anywhere in the mall to get coffee... so caffeinate yourself in advance.
Happy to be back in the theater. Weirdly empty. The front desk crew did not tell us the theater our movie was in was occupied and then needed swept, so we had to lurk about. Their online ticketing is a $3.50 surcharge on an $8 ticket with no reserved seating.
The today's world where everyone is trying to steal your identity, this place did NOT. Lost my wallet here, they found it and even the few dollars inside it were still there. VERY refreshing for me. Two thumbs up for Landmark Keystone Art Center.
With the location being at the fashion mall, I expected the theater to be a bit nicer. The screening rooms are in need of renovating, seats are not that comfortable (no recliner seats here) and are very close together so not a lot of arm room.
Nice, clean theatre. Restroom was clean. There are self-serve kiosks to get your tickets. The seats are really nice. They are adjustable so you can get comfortable. The film better be good or you might fall asleep in that comfy chair.
My favorite movie theatre in Indy. They always play a great selection of new innovative films, that often don't play at any other theatre in the city. They also have a bar, so you can sip wine while you enjoy the latest documentary.
they show the small movies that no other theater does in town. so it is crucial in that respect. full stop. they also have an attached bar, which is convenient. too bad the drinks and bar food are so pricey (think airport prices).
I'm glad this theater is still open. However, movie-going etiquette has gone the way of the dinosaur. If I'm at the movie theater it's for that experience. When I want to hear someone talk throughout, I'll stay home with a child.
A nice theater with an out-of-the-ordinary selection of movies. Unfortunately, parking can be difficult because the theater is located in a mall. Seats are a bit narrow, but generally comfortable. Sound system is a bit weak.
It's ironic that their movie choices are so superb and yet the seating is like a modern-day torture device. Easily the worst theater seats in the city. I only go there when no one else is showing the movie I want to see.
Went to the movie theater and althoigh the mall stores are prettt expensive the ticket prices for movies weren't expensive, clean theater, nice place to go if you want to grab an alcoholic beverage and watch a movie.
Screens small and seats are super close. I know I'm a taller and bigger guy but dang a seats were super close LOL! I couldn't stretch my legs out at all! Other than that it was okay. Besides the movie it sucked LOL!
The only cinema alternative left in Indy, where you can see indy (independent) & foreign & documentary releases (& classic re-releases) not available at the big box cinemas. You can even grab a beer before the show.
The Landmark at Keystone Crossings is a cinema house where I am not ashamed to feel a little snobby. Look, you're in a great place, a cold bier, buttered popcorn and a movie. A small moment of delight . …
We, Indianapolis people, are so lucky to have this wonderful theater. Because of the Keystone Art Theater I have gotten to see many wonderful films that I would never even have heard of. Thanks, Keystone Art.
My daughter and I went to a weekend 7pm romcom. She had hummus and pitas chips. I had a hot dog with relish, and we split a medium popcorn with butter. We brought home leftover popcorn and fed the birds...
Great movie theater. Their movie selection is great if you love indy films nice seats and they have a bar attached to the movie theater so you're able to grab a drink or cocktail while you watch the movie.
We didn't partake in anything other than the movie("ThecDead Don't Die", which wasn't all that good). The place seemed nice, tho slightly inconvenient restroom location, if your movie wasn't on that side.
"Oh honey we never stopped serving food!even during Covid. We served popcorn popcorn IS a food!" people love to be smart alecks. Was referring to Cheese nachos, the return of hot dogs and the cookies
Haven't been here in a while. It's a nice theater, but a little outdated compared to newer ones, but the ticket prices are still the same. Popcorn is decent, but concessions are waaaaaaay too much.
This theater is good at showing independent films, along with a few big budget options. The seating is not the most up-to-date, but I'm happy to tradeoff that bit for the better quality films.
Always a joy to watch movies in an environment that cultivates conversation and a true cinema experience. Love the menu of films brought to Indy by Landmark Keystone. The bar isn't bad either!
We in Indy are lucky to have Keystone Arts Theater! Sundance Films are regularly shown here. Easily accessible by wheelchairs and walkers. Clean facility, friendly staff. Nice theater!
Very nice theater with smaller theater seating. Social distancing seating. You feel safe. Good popcorn. Reasonable ticket prices. Convenient parking at the west side of Keystone Mall.
We attend the Sundance Film Festival each year. We are so grateful that the Landmark theater often shows some of the films we've missed in Park City. It is a great theater. THANK YOU!
This is a great theater, having not only a bar, but also an area for a barista. They, like some of the other Indianapolis, do special release films. So we'd be very happy to go back.
Best movies. Excellent customer service! I lost my phone there. Sent email at 10:30pm. At 11:45pm they respond with news they had my phone! Movie we saw, Licorice Pizza. Thank you!
All the employees were friendly and helpful! I would have given it five stars but the popcorn was not warm and just didn't taste like I expected it to compared to other theaters.
The popcorn was stale. And the movie theater seats were filthy. For the prices they charge the place should be immaculate. Because they have a enough staff to keep the place up.
This is my favorite theater by far. I love the atmosphere and the Lounge and that they actually have Twizzlers instead of the Red vones...bleh! Definitely my go to theater.
This was my 2nd visit to Keystone Art Cinema in about 4 weeks. The staff is professional and friendly and the theaters are nice and clean. Chairs are comfortable as well.
I love this movie theater. So many great movies that you wouldn't necessarily see in other places. And it's not bad that you can do a little shopping afterward either!
Movie was good. I would Not recommend going if you were a person that likes cleanliness and a comfortable seat. The adult drinks were a little on the pricey side too.
I love this little theater. It's small and has a feel of home. If you love the movies but not the big ginormous theaters with 300 seats and noise, this is the place.
Art house theater also has a bar available and upscale snacks. No modern amenities like seat reservation or recliner seats but nice enough and great movie selection.
It is currently in the high 80s in the middle of summer. Hard to watch a great movie with no air conditioning. First and last experience. I will not be coming back!
I went to see a late movie (10pm). The staff seemed friendly. The popcorn that I purchased was fresh. The theater was clean and the seats were comfortable.
Looks dead there all the time and two random teens working behind the stands lol but they’re nice. Clean the seats with wipes after movies that’s it!
The movie was good but the seat was so uncomfortable it was different to watch. Plus, there was no AC at least in Theatre 4 which made it feel muggy.
Great experience with comfortability level, prices have increased, not rendering service For Quality of Customer service or Lack of in the Bar area
One of Indy's best arts cinemas. Unfortunately, a drawback is that it's located at the Fashion Mall, a huge traffic mess I always hate to get into.
This is our favorite movie theater in the Indy area, mostly due to the quality movie selections and staff. We enjoy the classics on Tuesday too.
Uncomfortable seats.. very little popcorn choices and airport prices for pre packaged popcorn, heck may as well pay five bucks for a can of soda
Still one of the best cinemas in Indianapolis. Plenty of indie and foreign releases alongside more mainstream fare. Plus there's a great bar!
The smaller theaters give it an intimate feel to a movie experience. The concessions are reasonable and the lounge has great drink options.
Absolutely love the coziness of this theater. The Retro Replay series has been a joy and the staff is always very friendly and personable.
Always love this theater...clean, friendly staff, and alternative and independent films. Plus the option to bring drinks into the movie!
Early show almost had the whole theater to ourselves. Popcorn is really good. Bring one of these so you can share the bottomless bucket
This place is great. You can grab a drink at the bar. It's clean and has awesome selection of films. It is quite hot in there though.
This is a cool spot. It is the place that'll show the neat niche movies that big theaters don't run. Smooth, easy to find and clean.
Very nice theater for limited release films, includes a connected bar with a large selection of local craft beers and mixed drinks.
Friendly people, yummy popcorn, comfortable seats, great movies that aren't slasher flicks! I love coming to this theatre …
First time seeing a movie here. Fairly comfortable seating with lots of room. Good picture and sound quality. Nice atmosphere.
A very classy theatre. Loved the way they scheduled the movies. Some of them were classics.... Enjoyed the time and experience
They've been showing old Alfred Hitchcock movies on Tuesdays in August. Been to the first two and have really enjoyed them.
My wife and I love this cinema. The films here tend to be artsy, but our experience wit the theater itself has been great!
We used e-tickets and didn't have any issues. Didn't get concessions. Seats could have been cleaner, but it was ok.
Great movie theater! Awesome Indie movies. Comfy seats. Good customer service! Friendly and professional staff!
Great seating with wide food and drink selection. Always showing a good movie not available in other theaters.
Great safely protocol for pandemic. Limited seating. Went to the movies after 14 months. Had a great time!
A hidden gem. I love seeing non-mainstream movies here. Nice staff. Great parking. Ate too much popcorn!
Starting to become my new favorite movie theater. Extremely clean, very quiet, concessions is good!!
Great to have a local arts theater! Nice staff. The bar is close by and the bartender is also nice.
A very good movie experience. I will definitely be back next time they show a movie I want to see.
Love the atmosphere of this theater as well as the diversity of movies they have available.
Very nice theatre. Prices online with other theaters, no Keystone crossing premium …
