Living Room Theaters is located on Mass Ave near The Garage food hall. It’s not the worst place to see a movie and far from the best. I have been to dozens of screenings at this place because they do tend to have a decent selection of films. Not only do they show Marvel type garbage movies, they also screen a decent amount of independent and foreign films. It helps that they have a high number of screening rooms (six I believe). There are many problems with this place though. First of all, it’s a dine-in theatre, so you can often find yourself sitting next to someone eating obnoxiously loud. Try and come during a less popular time before dinner hours. Weekdays before 5 o’clock are the best as you might even get the screening room to yourself. My second complaint is that the screening rooms have poor sound insulation. You can usually hear the movie in the room next to you, and this can be a distraction if the movie you’re seeing is quiet and the movie next door is loud. In a city with few movie theatre options, Living Room stands out by having a good selection, comfortable seats and not being a big chain (AMC, Regal, etc). If you’re looking for a high quality theatre experience however, I’d suggest Kan-Kan Cinema a few minutes down the road. They might not have power recliners, but they have a good restaurant and better films.

This was such a huge disappointment. I specifically chose this theatre because they offer a restaurant and bar. Knowing we were going somewhere that offered restaurant food, we didn’t stop to eat before hand. As soon as we got there, there were letters plastered everywhere saying the kitchen was down. No beer. And they had limited concessions. Their limited concessions consisted of cold popcorn and boxes of candy. How, as a movie theatre, do you not have the basics available for when the kitchen is down? Anyways so we proceed to order the very cold and stale popcorn and the lady behind the counter was rude and couldn’t be bothered to interact with us. My husband and I don’t ever go out and this was our one chance to have time without our kids and it was a huge let down. We will not be returning to this theatre. They also had my email so I would have thought a courtesy email would have been sent to let people know they don’t have food available.

I totally thought this place was awesome. I like that it wasn't a high occupancy theater and that you could order a variety of food and even alcoholic beverages from the bar. The pizza was so-so, but they did bring it to your seat directly. The option beforehand to choose just a recliner or a rocker was pretty neat and great for those who like to move. The seats were tall, so it your short, bring a pillow to sit on, or prepare to sit on your leg. All the staff was friendly too. Parking is not so great. There's a paid lot, but if you don't ask them to print you a ticket specifically for parking, you're going to be paying. They definitely don't offer that info up freely.

A wonderful spot for a movie night! The theaters were very clean and the staff working at the concessions and box office were incredibly kind. The seats in the theaters are the type to recline, which makes for a very comfy experience. The kitchen was closed the night we went, so I cannot speak to the food, but the menu looks large and accommodating for vegetarians. For the movie we chose to see, all the seats were sold out except for the very front row. I was apprehensive at first since I am never one to pick the front row, but the reclining seats actually allowed us to easily see the screen (and kept our necks from aching). All around, great experience!

I really want to love this place and support it but it has several issues that have been consistent in the three times I have visited for a movie…. The line is always insanely long and slow to order food before a show - if you don’t arrive at least 30 minutes before your show time prepare to be stressed out and wonder if you are going to get in your seat on time. Also, the food is really expensive and not that good…. $16 for a chef salad that is more the size of a side salad? $11 for 3 pretzel sticks that aren’t even hot? Staff is friendly and the theaters themselves are cool but have to believe they can do better and right now the value is not there.

The reclining seats and tray tables were very nice. Food was pretty mediocre, as my nachos had more bbq sauce than cheese. My friend got a veggie pizza and was disappointed with the lack of veggies. Probably the biggest disappointment was that the bar was closed and they were not serving any alcohol. We only discovered this when we showed up for our movies. Had we known the bar would be closed, we would’ve made different plans. Parking was pretty confusing, as the man working the lot across the street said it was full, but we could see spots that were open. We parked in the nearby garage and walked to the theatre.

Living Room Theaters is such a fun experience. It’s a two story (stairs and elevator available) theater with reasonable ticket prices. The ticket booth is on the first floor, and the bar/concession stand/theaters are on the second floor. Parking is an additional fee as there are metered spots and a lot (expect to pay about $6-12 on parking for 2-3 hours). The concession stand prices are also reasonable: they have coffee and lattes, alcoholic beverages, fountain soda, candies, popcorn, and a fun selection of pizza, salads, and smoked meats and cheese boards! Our seats did not recline, but they were “rockers.”

Very nice theater near Mass Ave. Conveniently located across from the garage and they offer a voucher for parking. My kids and I went to see a matinee and tickets were $9.75 a piece. A discount for kids would have been appreciated, but movies are expensive everywhere. The place was very clean and the reclining seats were very comfortable. The movie salons aren't very big so buy your tickets online (there is a convenience fee) or plan to get there ahead of time. There is a full bar and place to get more than your usual theater fare, but the popcorn was very good! We will likely be returning!

The theatre is comfortable, the sound is nice, and the building is beautiful. 4 stars based on my 3 visits. Service isn't the greatest. If you see one of the last showings, everything closes as soon as the movie starts. Get everything you need in one trip because there is no additional time to purchase. It's a good place to watch a movie if you're looking for a streamlined experience. It lacks the charm and cozy feeling of somewhere like Kan-Kan but does offer more than the average chain theatre.

The movie experience was fine. Seating is comfortable. Having food and drink inside the cinema is a nice feature and the bussing service was good, too. One major problem, though. The bartender really doesn’t want to be there. He seemed dismissive and annoyed. Didn’t engage us or make eye contact. Eventually, he took my friend’s order but didn’t bother asking me what I wanted to order. Then, he took other customer orders first. Drinks were meh. Sitting at the bar felt like a total imposition.

Not a good experience. Website says arrive early. It says to order food at the bar to enjoy during the movie arrive 45 minutes early. We arrived at 12:30 for our 1:15 movie and doors were locked. I called and they said would be unlocked in 5 minutes. They were but guess what, no bartender. Oh, it's his day off. Then put that on your website. Also Instagram page says they open Everyday 11:30am. FedEx was trying to deliver for the 2nd day in a row. Unbelievable

  • James Roscoe

Really enjoyed the experience at this cinema. They offer a fully stocked bar and pub food that you can eat outside the theaters or take in. If you arrive at least 1/2 hr ahead of your show's start time, they will bring your food right to your seat. The theaters are small, which I prefer, and the seats are comfortable recliners. Presale tickets for specific seats are available on their website, and they validate parking for the lot and garage.

I came in yesterday and had an intresting observation, there seems to be new management.. He was nice to us but then we saw him be horribly disrespectful to his staff multiple times! He was almost treating them like objects and it was incredibly off-putting. It definitely changes my opinion on this place, there are other theaters around with managemnt who cares for there staff which is a MUCH better look on a company...

  • Shanti Lall

Our movie wasn't until 745 but we came more than an hour early so we could just sit at the bar and have dinner. The food and drinks are great. You can take them into the movie with you or order and they will deliver. For sitting in seats that people are eating in, they have always been clean as has the floor... Well, no worse than a regular theater! The seats are comfy and easy to use with plenty of aisle space.

  • Jessie B

Thought all seats had massage and heating but they didn’t. Four of us went and we ordered the pepperoni pizza, popcorn, charcuterie board, chicken sandwich, and drinks. The only thing that was good was the chicken sandwich, the potato salad that came with it, and the bread from the charcuterie board. Everything else was gross and had a weird after taste. ::barf:: Not planning on going back.

Amazing place! Recliners are too comfortable. Prices are on the lower side and food options are reasonable too. About 2 miles from downtown, very close I must say. Screen and sound system is good too. Its cozy, quiet, relaxing place to watch a movie with ones family. Toilers are clean. There is a bar which seems to have a good enough collection. Overall highly recommended place.

Love the venue and the food is first rate. I had chicken tacos and wife had Korean BBQ nachos. Which I sampled and I will get that next time. Well seasoned with decent portions. They reimburse $6 on parking so $3 right across from door is a great value. Intimate setting with solid sound. Should have moved over more towards the middle. Loved the experience I will be back.

Visited for the first time last weekend. We saw John Wick 4. The theater was nice and comfortable, overall a good experience.. although I wish our experience at the bar were better. As a first time patron I was unsure of what was offered, after finally being addressed (long wait, there were only 2 staff) the bar tender acted dismissive and annoyed.

Nice intimate movie theater. The seating is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Free parking pass for the attached garage. Ask for a parking pass. Alcohol beverages available and they're strong. The popcorn has "real" butter! It's also only $5! For dinner there's tons of restaurants along Mass Ave. Great theater for families or a date.

  • Marie Fench

Went here for the first time and had a great time! Great ambience, comfy seats, and the best part is the cleanliness! My date didn’t like that you can only order one drink from the bar per ID, but not a deal breaker for me. Worst part was the loaded potato salad.

  • Jared Slothower

Loved going to living room theaters and will continue to go! The ticket was affordable, the food was great, and the staff was friendly. There are very few previews, so plan on getting there early. Our movie time was 1:45 and the movie actually started at 1:50.

  • Ashley Dawn (Ashley Cheek)

Definitely a place I would come to again. I absolutely recommend to go here if you're planning on going to the movies. It's local and cheaper than AMC. The staff is very friendly. The theater was clean and modern. And the pizza is pretty good too.

  • Swaroop John

The theatre is new and has really nice ambiance. The theater has a lounge and bar inside so you can chill until it’s time for your movie. The movies played on this theater have a mix of new movies and movies which have received good ratings

  • Stephanie Crockett

Loved it! It feels very clean and modern for a movie theater. Prices were great, only paid $14 per ticket. We didn't try the food, though there were many great looking options, but we noticed the prices on food were very reasonable! You buy

  • Derek Lawrence

Good atmosphere, great food. The Buffalo chicken pizza was fire. The popcorn was fresh and not overly buttered or salted. Drinks from the bar smooth, not watered-down. Seating in the theater is good. Seats were clean and nicely spaced out.

  • Jenny Coyle

A great movie watching experience! I got there early enough to order lunch. The chicken sandwich with mac and cheese was delicious! It was delivered to my seat before the movie started. The seats were so comfortable!! I also liked how few

  • Nina S. Reed

My granddaughter and I went couple years ago to see one of the marvel movies. I really enjoyed it the atmosphere. The food was good and filling . I like the fact that they brought your food to you. Just a good experience.

  • Dorothy Loslo

Everything was perfect! Ticket prices were reasonable, seats were comfortable, drinks were delicious, they had live music before the show and if you have the opportunity to try the Date Night Burger…. OMG! All I can say

  • Yinzú Nairouz

Loved this movie theater! The area around is very nice with several places to eat. A lot of parking in the area (not free). Inside the theatre, there is an area to seat and enjoy food and/or drinks. Everything is clean

  • Abel Martinez

The bartenders are amazing and professional. They allow you to take alcoholic drinks in the theaters that you purchased there. Most of the seats recline so you can definitely relax while you enjoy the movie.

  • Theresa McMiller

It was a very different experience and my first time being at a downtown theater that offered restaurant quality food and cocktails. I ordered chicken tacos with a mixed salad and a Ginger Mojito cocktail.

  • Brenda

Wonderful theatre in terms of the atmosphere. The food was not at all what we expected in terms of taste and quality. Between the three of us, we tried various menu items and only the popcorn was good.

  • Laylonna Hurley

Love this vibe so much! Plenty of vegan/veggie options… veggie pizza was delish and I also tried the black bean burger on a different night… the veggie plate and salted pretzel is delicious as well!

  • XiaoTian XiaoTian

Chil place, chairs are new and comfortable, the place is not too crowded, there aren't lots of seats per room, but the screen is huge. Highly recommend! Btw the parking is free for 3 hrs

  • Indiana Notary Public

Really enjoyed the Comfortable Intimate Smaller Theatre. The reclining seats, extra cup holders and the trays attached to the reclining seats makes it feel like watching a movie at home!

  • Brenda Hamblin

You can order food and they will bring it to your chair. The seats are spacious and recline all the way back so that you can put your feet up. Very comfortable atmosphere.

  • John Mcfly

This place is a hidden gem in this city. Amazing food, drinks, service, and live music while you wait for a movie. The manager here Angela is also absolutely amazing!

  • Nick S

Very comfortable seating, reasonably priced great food, and underrated bar. So happy to have an upscale theatre option in Indy, cannot recommend enough
