Last night, my Wife and I visited Clearwater Numetro to catch a movie. To our surprise, we were directed to the Scene Xtreme screening, as they no longer had a cinema large enough for 2D showings (which left us wondering why). Despite paying R170 per ticket and having high expectations based on "Numetro's recommendation", the experience turned out to be the worst I've ever had in a cinema. Firstly, the seats were in terrible condition, with some literally falling apart. I've included pictures to illustrate the state of disrepair (one would think that at R170 per ticket, Numetro could afford some basic maintenance). Then there was the issue of the sound. It was unbearably loud, to the point where it felt like the roof tiles might come loose. Numetro advertised this as a "Great Surround sound experience," but it was far from it. Lastly, despite their website's claims that "Xtreme takes the larger-than-life film experience and makes it even bigger and better. The monster-sized picture extends out of sight at every corner to fill your vision," the projector's aspect ratio was so poor that it cut off scenes at the top and bottom. It left me feeling like I'd have been better off watching the movie at home. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing experience, especially considering the price we paid for tickets. Numetro needs to address these issues if they want to live up to their reputation and recommendations. I would without a doubt rather pay R30 extra for an IMAX ticket and drive 20Km further to actually enjoy a movie than put myself through this again! THIS WAS ABSOLUTLEY HORRIBLE!!!

Haven't been to the movies in a loooong time, and forgot about the arrival process! It was clean (as far as it could get with 100s of people), seats and theatre in a good condition, and we enjoyed the experience. However, I dont understand why we still have to print tickets, especially when you bought online? And although there were backup power for loadshedding, the switchover took quite some time. But, this won't stop me from visiting again!!

Went to Numetro Clearwater in December, very hot day and the mall was so busy, went to watch an afternoon movie in Cinema 7, smelled of popcorn which is normal but then it also smelled like stinky feet and body odour as it was over 40 degrees in there so all these people in there were literally baking their bodies and the smell was terrible. We came out to ask someone about it and he said the aircons are not working. Terrible experience

Seats were a bit uncomfortable and noisy if anyone moves you'll hear it, overall the popcorn was really great compared to other cinemas I've been to , the ticket purchase system at the entrance needs some serious maintenance because it was almost unusable and frustrated a lot of people. 5 stars for the staff for the service they provided when assisting people

The most filthy movie house I have ever been to. NuMetro Cinema 7 at Clearwater Mall is riddled with rats - YES RATS!!!! Our trolley was also removed by the cleaners and our stuff was stolen. The manager on duty just said - Eishhh Sorry neh when I mentioned the rats and the stolen stuff! Disgusting!!! Our worst experience ever watching The Little Mermaid!!!

The cinema wasn't cleaned up before we went in to watch our movie. Always after each movie the cleaners will go into the cinema area and clean before the next group of people come in to watch the movie they have booked. We had popcorn and empty cool drink containers on our seats and the floor was also full of popcorn.

This was the absolute worst experience ever. Waited over 40 minutes just to get popcorn and there was no sense of urgency among the staff at all to make the lines move faster, felt like home affairs. We also missed the first 20 minutes of our movie. Would NOT recommend at all.

Everything was ok, took my daughter and her friends to watch Barbie and there were kids in the movie that just wouldnt stop talking and screaming. Plus I had to ask the staff to turn the lights off when the movie started. Just happy they had a generator for Loadshedding.

I love it! The employees are always super positive and very kind. It is a very clean cinema and affordable. The movies are great and they always playing the latest movie. I would definitely recommend it for family, friends etc I love everything about Nu metro ‼️

The movie houses are beautiful. The refreshment counter service is pathetic. I have been to this cinema on several occasions and I have always had the very same experience. You could stand in those ques for close to 30 min just for service.

Received a promotional numetro calander and at the end of the calendar are vouchers to use st the cinema so I tried to use the September one and the guy at the till said no sorry we cant use them at all it's not for there cinimas it's a

Guess the cinema (# 2) we watched the movie was not that great, my wifes seat was loose, think someone leaned back to much and broke the hinges. Sound not amazing, picture average... Not an experience to rave about

We went to the movies at Nu Metro Clearwater today the 5th of August. We left a phone in the theatre and thanks to the cleaner Decide we got our phone back. Thank you so much for honesty. We are truly grateful

The cinema was first class, with gigantic reclining chairs, and the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Special thanks to Martha for sorting out our problem with online tickets, she was fantastic!

Not the best Numetro cinema I've been to. Movie started over 20 minutes late, and the actual theater wasn't even cleaned yet when people walked in. Service at the snacks was just awful. Wouldn't recommend.

Lovely service and good prices. Staff able to bring coffee to you while you watching your movie already and overall great service from all of them. Always clean and my go-to pleace for movie night.

You should seriously consider upgrading or replacing some of your chairs. Been to 2 different cinemas at Clearwater mall and chairs are broken and aged. Area is filthy and not cleaned properly.

You should only catch your blockbusters in Xtreme. Friendly service. Real clean cinemas compared to the competition. Everything was clean and hygienic. Real value for money. A well run cinema.

Overall always a good cinema, considering its close by, I would however like to see it be a bit more sanitary as cinema's don't seem to be cleaned very well in between films

Very expensive and while we were watching the movie the power went back on (the generator went off) and everyone sat in the dark for 10mins waiting for the movie to resume.

Facility is clean. Seating is comfortable. Sound is clear yet not so loud that you cannot enjoy yourself. Good thumbs up from me. Go and get your ticket, have some fun.

This is the first time the cinema at Clearwater has been this dirty, for VIP not acceptable. Drink and popcorn was spilled on my seat, so I had to move a row in front.

Lovely place, but it does tend to get packed. So booking online or buying your ticket ahead of time will help you stay on schedule. The toilets are clean.

I really enjoyed although I find the seats uncomfortable. You have to keep on adjusting so you don't slide off the chair. But the I'm a slarge female.:)

Exceptional service, great movies, quality screening and mostly I loved the fact that I was seated comfortably in the leather seats. I love numetro!

Overall satisfactory, however Nu Metro could improve on the cleanliness and customer service. The female toilets were extremely dirty and smelly.

I have not watched any movies here...but the atmosphere at the entrance was appealing...will gist you my experience when I do watch.
