The aircon was off in the packed cinema. I had to go ask someone whether it was on or off. A gentleman at the popcorn counter got someone to switch it on eventually. We went back a week later to watch another movie. We arrived earlier than the movie time so that we could purchase our snacks and drinks. With only 1 person at the counter downstairs and 1 person at the counter upstairs, everyone waited in long queues just to be served. Downstairs, someone had a problem with their vouchers, so this held up the queue. We ended up missing the first 25 minutes of our movie! Totally unacceptable when we pay full price, but don't get to watch the whole movie! On top of that, the popcorn was oversalted and inedible. What a waste of money, as we all know that it isn't cheap either.

My company Torre Parts and Components together with the MD Kevin Roger's treated 64 kids from St. Mary's Children's home from Rosettenvile to a movie the week before schools reopened for the year.... The staff were insanely incredible. Although it took a couple of hours to sort out cards and seats and money it was worth every minute. Num Metro take a bow.... Your service was unbelievable. To all the staff involved in assisting me I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You touched many lives last week Monday. From the booking staff to the back office staff to the serving staff to the cleaning staff... We thank you and we will certainly be back.

On an unrelated note, I feel that people have stopped knowing how to act in a theater like they would shout and make noise /have whole conversations during the film, this might be because of covid as well, it's fun to enjoy the movie together but then I also ask that we can all have some sense. Absolutely thé worst service at Nu Metro The Glen today. 2 people behind the counter with the manager watching at a distance how it took them 25 minutes to serve 1 group of 4 people. And then we still had another 3 groups ahead of us. Only after we started to ask about other options for service an attempt was made to better organise the que which was no help because people arriving 30minutes after us, were given priority service. The manager finally got behind the counter to help. Fortunately the movie was good even though we missed the first 15mins. Will definitely reconsider the cinema choice next time.

I watched James Bond No Time To Die in the VIP cinema. Some seats are blocked off for the Covid-19 pandemic. There's beer and popcorn. This was my second time here, last time in 2019 for Sleep. I was the only person in the movie house. During the course of this excellent 007 picture, some siren went off four times during the screening - it wasn't fire, I went outside and checked each time. Also, I needed to close the sound proof door so I wouldn't hear the neighbouring movie. Dunno if that's the downside of going to the cinema during the pandemic, but these are easy own goals.

The staff here have absolutely no manners whatsoever! Our movie was due to start at 17:30 and we walked in at 17:15 and the lights in the cinema were off so I went to the staff to ask what was happening only to be told to not be silly the movie hasn't started yet and to take a seat in the waiting area (this was in Scene VIP) at 17:45 the cleaning staff went in only to come out and ask why the lights were off... Yes the very same question I had asked 30 minutes before. Anyways the staff is very rude and really not willing to help.

9 months ago went to the movies seats were worn. This time seats were fixed. Good Job. However going to the movies these days you better be ready for a hefty bill. Tickets were R105 plus R15 for each 3d pair of glasses a basic medium size drink popcorn and smarties was R150 each. It was great one last time. Now we cannot afford this anymore. Oh yes i forgot we were only like 15 people in the cinema clearly were not the only ones thinking its to expensive to go

Glad we have a Nu Metro cinema in the area. Although expensive, enjoy the VIP option. Make use of the Nu Metro card, a bonus reward card option.They can consider bringing the price of local wines down. Food is always good. SA board not always available as they don't have biltong? Not great as there is a biltong shop in The Glen or Pick n Pay sells biltong. Service is good. Suggest movie options to change more often, as some movies run for weeks.

I've just had the worst movie experience ever, first I bought tickets at the self service counter and the card declined 3 times but after 10 minutes it showed that the money was deducted 3 xR510 transactions were deducted, I waited 30 minutes to get a combo and missed the movie and then I had to go to the manager to explain what happened with the bank deductions and I missed another 20 minutes and I didn't receive any refund. The

Actually deserved less stars if it wasn't for a staff member that was very friendly and helpful, described movies for us to make the decision on what to watch easy... she saved the day I think her name was Bernice possibly. What was bad was there was no staff anywhere to be seen, seemed like it was closed. Luckily we found a cleaner walking upstairs and he said it was infact open. Make sure you bank with absa to get the discount.

Trying to get popcorn here is a nightmare,you might as well wait in the queue till the movie you came to watch ends,they have long queues which are not well managed and the service is extremely slow,I always come here and the service never improves, even when you try go and order at the VIP lounge with the hope that the service there would be faster but it's even slower there

It's a great place and the service is usually great, however I honestly don't go here much like I used to. Probably once in a year if I'm being honest. The prices are seriously too much, it's really not worth it. I don't see the point in spending around R100 per person for a movie ticket alone, plus then still pay for popcorn/snacks. I'd rather download or stream movies online...

Service is very poor here, buying snacks took too long and with only one person in front of me. Watched uncharted in Vip and decided to come out to buy more snacks during the movie and nobody was attending the snack bar. I had to come all the way down stars and look for someone to attend to me, I missed a chunk of the movie. What good is VIP if nobody is there to attend to you.

DO NOT BUY ONLINE. They took my money twice. Told me it would take up to 7 days to refund the 2nd payment. I will not have an issue to get my tickets when I get there i need to show the email. My daughter got there 30 min earlier but it took them all of 30 minutes with lots of frustrating phone calls from me to just get her tickets we paid for... twice. WORST Experience ever.

I forgot my phone in one of the cinemas at The Glen, only to find out when I got home... I phoned The Glen's Cinema Management Office and they answered after just ONE phone call. They had my phone at the management office! Thank God! Thank you to Phakama and the very honest cleaner who gave my phone in at the Cinema's lost and found. Thank you so much!

My experience was honestly horrible this time around. We booked VIP to watch the black Adam and the sound was horrible. We had to hang in there because we really wanted to watch the movie. We are not happy at all with how unprofessional you guys were about the whole situation. We wanted to even ask for help but your employees no where to be found.

What an amazing experience. I haven't watched a movie in the cinema in ages and today I took my boyfriend and brother to watch Avatar 2. The whole process was simple and the staff were AMAZING. They were so friendly and helpful - they even brought me my hot chocolate into the cinema so that I don't miss anything. Truly a lovely experience!

Not quite the premium experience they advertise especially when you struggle with the seat that is supposed to recline and etc, Ster kinekor cine prestige is a way better experience with staff that check it's customers and you can get served during the movie, nu Metro didn't get the idea that the people were interested in any of that

We were there on Saturday 18.02.2023, for the 15:15 pm show of Pathaan. Being an action packed movie, there were a lot of sound effects. However the volume was unbearably loud. It definitely spoiled the movie for us as we had to close our ears at some scenes. Can management please look into lowering the volume a bit??

The tellers by the snacks. Look like they don't wanna work. You'll stand for a very long time just to get a stupid drink and pop corn.. funny thing is. The time doesn't matter, they are always consistent. Day and night.... Was watching equalizer in cinema 5. The carpet stinks... I was sneezing the entire movie

Popcorn cold and stale...what ever happened to fresh hot popcorn like in the old days. But other than that a nice experience. Clean cinema with good sound and comfortable seating. Personally I think the cost to watch movies and eat or drink something is very expensive, but that's just my experience

I’ve been coming to this Nu Metro for years because it’s the closest one to me. The theatre is not that great, but the staff are amazing. You can usually hear the sound from the theatre next door if you sit too close to the door. During this week I purchased some popcorn and it was stale.

I went to watch the 16h45 show on Saturdaythe 11th of February, when I got there they had only one person working behind the popcorn counter and one person working behind the popcorn counter upstairs, due to this, we missed the beginning of the movie as it took very long to get snacks.

Went to the movies on Monday after I pay for 2 tickets for a 3D movie I buy popcorn and they tell me I can only have 2 sachets of seasoning for my popcorn, literally after paying R175 and R250 for movie tickets which is ridiculous and then the seats in the movies are torn and broken!

VIP experience was disappointing. Seats were very comfortable but there was no service at all. The staff were extremely noisy during the movie and were yelling and laughing outside in the foyer, even after one of the other patrons asked them to quieten down. Won't be going back.

The staff is very friendly, helpful & professional. Cine 9 was comfortable with a clear screen. The only thing that we didn't like is the movie sound and I also I could hear another sound coming from a different cine - not sure if it was from the 4D cine but it was disturbing.

Brilliant service. In a fully booked theater I had someone sitting in our seats and was told to just sit somewhere else... had one of the gentleman who works there to assist and it was settled peacefully. Always enjoy watching movies here and the pop corn is always delicious

The place is lacking in professional maintenance. There's broken chairs everywhere, there was also a loss of visuals for about 20 minutes. It took them 10minutes before they could address us as paying customers. I won't be going there for movies again

Was treated so badly after my coupon bounced based on a technical error. I spoke to management there and the lady in charge refused to at least to reach a compromise. Instead I was sent him with all my guests that I invited. Worsted experience ever

The cinema is located in the newly-revamped section of the mall. Neat and tidy. Friendly staff. Next to the cinema is the gaming place for children. New, big, neat and looks even better than some casinos and has various play machines for all ages.

This movie theatre needs an upgrade. The screens are very small and soundproofing poor...we could hear the movie next door during quite moments in our movie. We had to wait very long to get refreshments even though there was hardly anyone there

The experience wasn't the best, I had good service and the layout is ok, BUT! Popcorn was stale and it's too expensive for that nonsense, the seats were more comfortable than say carnival cities stirkinikor however they are very worn down.

Clean and modern looking. Nice introduction to the normality of looking at movies on the big screen again. Tip: don't queue downstairs for refreshments get them upstairs on the way to your movie. No queues and great service.

Updating this review after 6 months. Got the same amazing customer service that I got on my previous visit. They do struggle with network during Loadshedding so have some cash on hand for snacks. Overall a great experience.

Appart from the shocking prices including the R5.00 for the cardboard container to carry the cooldrinks and popcorn the VIP seats are broken we could hear the movie playing next door to us aswell... will not be going back.

It's ok, but takes very long to come back on when loadshedding kicks in, that's quite a long time to keep people in the dark, could allow for easy crime in the dark. It's nice though that they move the movie back a bit

It was a ladies night Thursday. Amazing experience. There was food and drinks served. Edgars cosmetics with products to try. Mac cosmetics, estee Lauder and some fragrances treated us well. Lovef the whole experience

I was so surprised that numetro is as good as ster-kinekor when it comes to the theatre sitting area environmental and the sound quality the only downside is that their pricing is not as flexible as ster kinekor.

Poor service, self service kiosks do not work. The generator takes 20 -30 minutes to kick in during load shedding, systems are always off. Please try another service provider.
