I’ll walk you through what it’s like picking up with Kaiser pharmacy, every month since I got Kaiser insurance 10 months ago. At first I tried to pick up at my local Safeway, but Kaiser doesn’t cover Safeway pharmacy. I moved my prescription to Walgreens, Rite Aid, and QFC, over the course of a few days, only to be told that I can only pick up at Kaiser pharmacy… information that would have been good from the start. So, I start preparing to pick up my prescriptions a week in advance now. I call my physician, and make sure everything is done correctly on their end, and that I have a refill available, then I attempt to call Kaiser (whether I get a hold of someone is hit or miss considering their wait times are typically in excess of an hour, just to talk to someone). When the day comes to pick up my medication, again, I try to get a hold of someone, and if I’m lucky, I get someone on the phone, only for them to tell me I have no refills. I tell them that’s impossible, but it doesn’t matter. They blame my doctor every time. I call my doctor’s office, and about 3 hours later, it’s sorted out, and I’m told that my medication is being filled. Just to be extra certain, I call the automated line and request the refill per the automated system, as they suggest to save time. I choose to go in the next day to make sure they have ample time to meet the request. When I show up, the line is usually 15-20 people deep. After about 30 minutes of waiting, my ticket is called, I walk up to the desk, and learn that they did in fact get the request, but that they never started filling the medication, at which point, I know I am down to the last 30 minutes of this whole process IF they have my medication in stock. If they don’t, I need to wait another 3 days and start this whole process over again where I phone my doctor and attempt to get a hold of someone. On the lucky days when my medication is in stock, I wait 30 minutes, get my medication, and leave. This is the song and dance I go through every single month, just to get my medication. I so look forward to the day I can switch my insurance and remember choosing Kaiser pharmacy as a hard lesson. I sincerely hope I don’t get sick in the time I have left with them. Edit: I’ve sent you many emails with my concerns, pretty much from the time I tried filling my first prescription in Nov 2022. I get template apology responses that don’t address anything I’ve said, they’re just copy/paste apologies.
Continually putting their patients at risk, continually giving misinformation, misdirection, misdiagnosis (Ent Kung) pages of unanswered member services emails requesting contact information & ignored. Member services is not aware of ANY issues going on & if you complain about a doctor? They punish & dismiss the patient to hide their negligence. I currently have been approved for an investigation by the state of Washington due to their disregard & dangerous patient care. This Day? I’ve been 48 hours past my refill date & with “risk Management” since 7 am & am now 2x disconnected with the consult nurse at The direction of Kaiser & will be told they can’t help me but im going to prove it to risk management. BEWARE Doctors engage in Lies, traumatizing patients & misinformation all at the patients detriment.
Kaisers pharmacy set up is very unfortunate and they are very frequently out of the meds that my doctor has prescribed. I just came out of outpatient surgery and I have been sitting in there waiting room for 40 minutes long enough for me to bleed all over their chair and the pain meds started wearing off. I had a similar surgery earlier this year and ran in to the same problems where I had to go elsewhere to get my script filled. Literally any drugstore I’ve been to does better.
This place is TERRIBLE. I Trying to reach them to transfer a prescription now that I'm no longer with Kaiser has been an ordeal. For the last few days the pharmacy would just not answer their phones because of high volumes according to Kaiser and now they just put you on hold and leave you there without even saying hello or acknowledging you. Grateful to be rid of this inefficient, non-customer service oriented place as soon as I can transfer my prescription.
Kaiser now requires me to get prescriptions filled at their locations. They make it impossible to get anything. I was told I could pick up my prescription on Capital Hill location because Northgate didn’t have it. Now this pharmacy tells me they didn’t transfer. I live far away from this location so it will be a nightmare trying to get a prescription on the week day when I am working. I wish I had other options than Kaiser. I feel very worried.
Their phone tree keeps sending me in circles. I finally pressed 1 indicating I was a physician which I’m not. It connected me with a human. I explained that the phone tree wouldn’t let me through as a patient. She sent me right back into it. I have no idea how to get my meds. This was all after waiting on hold for 25 mins to return a call from them. KP has the worst customer service and it wasn’t always like this. Wonder what’s going on.
I wrote a previous review where I complained about the Capitol Hill Pharmacy. They called me the next day to help with my prescription and followed up right until I received it. The two people I talked to were very kind and reassuring. I really appreciate the care they provided because I was so worried I wouldn't get my prescription. Thanks Capital Hill Pharmacy! I appreciate your help so much! Kristin
Took 15 minutes to find it, because there’s no signage, no directory anywhere to help direct new patients, and none of the information desks in the other buildings are currently staffed. Head’s up: the pharmacy is in the South Building, not the West Building annex which is what Google Maps says.
The wait is 25 minutes and they keep saying they are short staffed and asking people to apply for a job at the pharmacy. Also when I actually got to talk to a representative/gentleman on the line, he was impatiently answering my qns. and then hung up while I was still speaking.
I'm not sure if this is the correct location but their is a pharmacist named Kim who went above and beyond for my friend who had heart failure and he needed some very expensive medication. She is truly an angel. Thank you for being a good person. Not many left❤️
Pick up is always speedy, advice from the pharmacists thorough and in the pandemic they've even just mailed me my prescriptions! Such a good service for members, I've been very impressed. Love how easy it is to pick things up right after my doctor's appointment.
This is the best pharmacy I've been to. The hours listed are way off however. That's not good at all, it's Tuesday and here it says they close at 9pm but it actually closed at 6:30. I suggested a change but they need to get on that bad.
This is a nice clean, well equiped facility. Nice chairs, and even desks power outlets. Friendly, helpful staff. My only complaint is that the service is so quick that I never get a chance to get comfortable in the space.
I Always have a great experience here. All the pharmacists are kind, discrete, and respectful. I’ve hardly ever had to wait very long, avoiding peak busy hours is key here. Thanks Kaiser folks!
Hours are wrong, not open 24 hours for pharmacy. Please update. Very unhappy.
I've never had bad service with any of their ER, or pharmacy service.
Timely and informative. Open until 9:00 pm!
Incorrect hours listed, DMV experience
All staff are top notch!
Bad attitude
What a mess
