Just to note, Reading cinema was contacted numerous times to offer a statement or comment about my concern yet failed to reply to all written communication and hang up on me twice during verbal communication. My observation that I wanted answers for is why a movie that has done so well at the box office, 175 million dollar gross for a 14 million dollar movie. Has made and profited more than any other movie this year. Has a 95% positive review rating and such an important message......... yes I am talking about Sound of Freedom, why is Reading cinema only releasing it once a day at 9pm? The very last movie of the day. No other times. Every other new release movie immediately gets released with 5-10 timeslots a day, yet a movie that has done just as good or better, is getting one time slot a day. When you review this in context with other very scrupulous and questionable activity being reported throughout the world in cinemas, it seems to me that Reading Cinema is employing some of these same tactics to diminish and prevent this movie being seen and/or to reduce its success. This is one of the tactics that has been very much reported throughout the world. So question is, why would Reading Cinema (along with many others around the world) would want to silence this movie or prevent its success. Especially when it has a message of great importance and awareness that the world needs to take seriously? I would imagine that every single human (except those involved in child trafficking) would be very pleased to see awareness to stop this worldwide atrocity. So why is it the cinemas and media and many entertainment groups are trying to silence this message? As mentioned, the only ones wanting to silence would be ones that are involved.... would it really surprise you if the entertainment industry was involved? Reading Cinema, whether involved or not you are a disgrace for trying to silence such a great movie and message. The truth will come out soon....

Would just like to publicly note that after my review, Reading Cinemas contacted me to discuss my concerns, apologised for the horrible experience we had and provided us with complimentary tickets to attend again, hopefully for a better experience this time. Worst experience at the movies ever! No one checked our tickets on entering - anyone could have just walked in. I know it's school holiday time BUT no-one should have to put up with kids running up and down the aisles all through the movie and while running rampant they knocked into the back of our seats on several occasions. They were seated behind us and parents and kids talked all the way through the movie, one parent yelling at the top of her voice at the kids, using profanities, all the while they were seated two to a seat in most cases. Where were the staff? Surely the theatre should have been checked during the movie but no-one entered in an hour and a half. My two daughters, 4 grandchildren and myself feel like we just wasted $140 of hard earned money going to see Mario Bros. movie and we really need to go again because no-one could concentrate because of the noise and movement all around us. Absolutely disgusting behaviour by the parents, kids and staff of Reading that this was allowed to happen.

I had the very experience today with regarding food today. I had booked both my tickets and my food online and notify the staff that i am in theater as per what process says. Despite this, I found myself waiting outside the counter for a frustrating more than 30 minutes. I noticed people in on the spot pay and buy were served before I was and I missed the first 15 minutes of my movie. I just don't understand the purpose of booking and if you go in theater there is big banner as well promoting the same but it only leads to humiliation and seeing others who arrived later being served before you? I can't help but perceive this as an attempt by the staff to extracting money from those who have the freedom to back out looking at queue, given that they haven't paid anything in advance and putting people side who paid in advance. So, my takeaway from this is don't order your food in advance!

Very nice Cinema with all the facilities such as lift from the ground floor plus the gold class restaurant and restrooms. Staff are friendly too. The cinemas itself has good seats and Dolby Atmos sound. The last movie I went to was The Angel has fallen. The sound was awesome especially the drone attack scene and hospital scene. You will feel you are in the movie itself. Three classes are standard, premium and gold. Gold class is one of the best compared to the other cinemas. Ticket prices are also cheaper compared to the other cinemas. Plus just step out of the cinema and you got plenty of restarurents and a food court too.

Nice cinema that includes a Gold Lounge and luxury cinema. Access is external to the shopping centre. Restaurants nearby. Go up a flight of stairs to the main cinema foyer. I went to the normal cinemas (not gold) the seats are ok and vinyl leather type to resist stains. Seats were comfy and in new condition. Modern foyer and theatres seemed up to date. Top service from the staff. I have been to lots of cinemas and seen the good and the bad ones... this one is pretty good.

Come to Gold class Epping for a relaxing date day without our daughter. Turn up and they are having a kids party in the gold class lounge with kids screaming and running around us where we sat. After complaining told that it’s managements families party with no apologies. You pay a lot of money for gold class experience. This is absolute rubbish. Take your parties somewhere else. I will never come here again and will be telling others the same. Disgraceful

Not enough staff on a Saturday, leading to a wait time of 10 minutes in the queue, and poor workers having to stress and rush around. Also, teenagers entering Cinema 7 halfway through the film, walking around and switching seats constantly, and talking. Please stop trying to be cheap on wages by understaffing, so that your workers aren't overwhelmed, and can find the time to keep out disruptive guests. Thank you.

Cinemas and bathrooms are absolutely filthy! This place is in desperate need of a revamp. The chairs are super uncomfortable and don’t recline like the Hoyts ones do! The process of lining up to get tickets and food is ridiculous! I shouldn’t be having to wait as long as I do considering you have so many staff behind the counter! Popcorn isn’t hot enough too! Absolutely appalling and derro.

Got tix and popcorn from front desk and the worker was very rude. She was abrupt and didn't want to give me the time of day. She said only front 3 rows available and didnt want to show me seat so i could choose. After I got my popcorn i let her know she was rude. I then asked another worker her name and it was told she is the manager. I was very surprised manager would be so rude.

Went to "gold class " nobody greats you nobody tells you what is going on. Then was told that management is have a kids party and when you come to Gold class to relax and enjoy yourself you have kids screaming and running all around you. This would have to be the worst gold class movies have ever seen and I would never ever come back.

I love this place, I come here all the time and it has the cheapest tickets around, but you just HAVE to keep your vanilla choctops in stock. A trip to the movies just isn't the same without one. I got mint this time. I like it but am I disappointed? Of course I am. It's the only thing preventing this evening from being a 5/5.

Great cinema with value for money with movie tickets. Staff are friendly and facilitates are fine. Only downside can be if it has been extremely busy, the female toilets can sometimes be untidy and often no soap in the dispenser. This is my go to cinema and love to visit with family and friends.

Cheapest movie ticket around. Comfy cinemas. Very good seats and sound system. Gold Lounge is fantastic. Not too crowded. Some game machines for the kids to play before movie starts. The downside is the parking. Very hard to get parking.

I must say it was my first gold class experience in a reading cinema but definitely not my last. Its cheaper than village and as good. Their gold class have less seat than gold class Doncaster.the staff were nice.

Very dirty, floors smells really bad. Under the seats full of rubbish . It needs to steam clean the carpet asap and cinema lounges must be cleaned properly. The toilet is on another level of how disgusting it is.

  • adam mark

This Cinema must to be report as hygiene hazards it’s super dirty very bad smell the carpet look it’s never been cleaned for many years , please to protect our kids anyone tell me how to report this place?

  • David N

Such terrible cinemas! In particular cinema 9 - what the hell are these cinema chairs??!? Red pleather, don’t recline, and the seats are not on a good incline. I do not recommend.

  • Adrian L

Cheap for all tiers of experiences. I would say this is not as good as hoyts for a cinema experience, however it costs way less which makes it great to go watch regular movies.

  • Tom Slick

Just watched the new Indiana Jones movie in Gold Class at Reading Cinema and it was awesome. The sound and picture quality is magnificent and the seating is sooooo comfortable.

  • Fran Shaw

Sadly the cinema was very dirty. From the top of the stairs to the cinema's the amount of rubbish was not good. Bin's were over flowing and toilets were not clean. Very poor

  • Mary -mia Ioculano

Absolutely awesome cinemas very comfortable great service and very reasonably priced. Had a great time there I recommend Gold Class really worth the price.

  • Sayit Howitis

Probably my favourite cinema to attend. Staff is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable and cheap compared to other leading cinemas .

  • Chelsea’s Life

This theatre is absolutely disgustingly filthy you guys seriously need to do something about it. hoyts broadmeadows is much cleaner. Then here

  • Sam Shell

Basically border security in there, have to show your id twice to even get into the movie and even a Covid certificate isn’t enough

  • Kellie “Kell” Stevens

Clean. Very comfortable seats. Cheap tickets. Great value for money. The young lady at the front desk was lovely.

  • Ashley Long

I enjoy going here as the prices are better than other cinemas, however, the toilets are in quite a poor state.

  • Roboy 70

Great for premium cinema with cheap prices, recliners getting a bit worn though

  • Jason Ashman

Comfortable and cheap, but real bad audio experience.
